  • Panic Live! - Classic Gabber 92 - 94 Mix (2020)

It's bloody 5 o'clock in the morning, and I am wide awake. Haven't slept whatsoever. I was tossing and turning in bed, and decided after 2 hours to get up, and go downstairs. So here I am, fully awake, listening to some Hardcore music from the early 90s, mixed together by the DJ we all love, Panic. And recently he has uploaded a few of his Facebook/Youtube live sessions. The one I'm currently listening to, was recorded on the 10th of April, and lasts around 2 hours. 2 Hours of fucking early Hardcore music. The golden years, 1992 until 1994. I think it was late 1992, or early 1993, when I discovered Hardcore music. Still a young lad, I couldn't go to any parties until bloody 1998, but I was a full on Hardcore fanatic. Really loved the early sound. It holds the most memories. Listening to these mixes on shitty cassettes, walking around with your Sony My First Walkman with those big headphones, with shitty quality. Those were the days. Well, not when it comes to the music quality: the present day is much better. But for nostalgic reasons I do miss the early 90s. I don't know why Panic started this online thing. Maybe he's done it before, maybe he was bored?God knows, I sadly missed it. Does anyone know if he's going to do a session anytime soon? Well, it's time for the tracklist. 61 records in a 2 hour long mix. All Hardcore from 1992/1993/1994. The early years. You will love it. And it will make you realise that we are getting towards 30 years of Hardcore music soon. Unbelievable. 30 years. Pfff. 01. Moby - Thousand 02. The Mover - The Emperor Takes Place 03. T. Boom Terrorism - Gabberhouse (Jailhouse Inferno Remix) Now, I'm not saying that the early sound was the best of the best ever. Of course a shit tons of crap records have been made, that's just inevitable. But thankfully Panic left most of them out of this mix. A few have snuck in, but thankfully not many. It's good to see such a cool tracklist. From the well known anthems by the scene's biggest names, to the more obscure and underground stuff. It's a real treat for those who love and have embraced the early Hardcore/Gabber stuff. Panic's mix is literally full of the early stuff, and for 2 hours he's got you by the balls. I know it's fucking silly o'clock, and normal people should be in bed, but I am awake, listening to Hardcore music. Dedication, and a tad stupidity. But I don't mind. If you have a mix and start it off with Moby's 'Thousand', I just can't push you away from me and ignore you. I have to listen to you, and love you. Panic's mix is just really dope. A few small recording errors, but nothing major. A few shitty tracks, but I would say that 95% of the records selected are awesome. And the best? Well, it was difficult, but I have chosen 'Acid Yell' by Deaz D., remixed by Gizmo. Such an underrated anthem. Was that the same DJ who later did stuff with Bitte Ein Beat? It's Sunday, fucking let's have it! Turn up the volume to the max, and rave the morning/afternoon away. Gabber 4 Life. I should pay more attention on social media. Really would have liked to see Panic in action, doing his thing. But hey, as the wife always says, I'm late. Soundcloud to the rescue! • The Infected Raw Podcast 02 Raw Classics (2020)

No, this blog isn't about how future raves should be attended, and what the dress code should be like. It might seem that I am going to discuss the above picture, but clearly I am not. Not bothered, in that case. I am more focussed on the music that these two lads are bringing to the table. The lads I'm talking about are Infectious DJ's. Again, they are not carriers of the COVID-19 virus, or any other virus of any kind, it just seems that their name is quite suitable/funny during this weird period in our lives. I've reviewed stuff made them before, but I cannot remember when that actually was, must be a long time ago. And now they've got this new podcast/mix series. I'm guessing that this will be a monthly podcast? They finish the mix info with 'tune in next month', so I'm guessing that they might do that. It would be nice to have them release a podcast every month. The second instalment has only been uploaded 1 day ago, and I am already all over it. It's been a while, you see, since I last heard a Rawstyle mix. It's been too long: I need my fix, and I need it right now. So, what kind of classics have they used for this mix, eh? Here's the tracklist: 01. Ran-D & B-Front - Rebirth 02. Ran-D - My Way 03. E-Force & Frequencerz - Men Of Steel 04. Frontliner & Radical Redemption - Frontliner & Radical Redemption 05. Digital Punk & Crypsis - Radiant 06. Frequencerz & B-Front - Fatality 07. Jack Overdose - Octavius Augustus (Zany Remix) 08. Crypsis & Luna - Torture 09. Chain Reaction - Lellebel 10. Gunz For Hire - Bolivia 11. Digital Punk & Adaro - Everyday 12. E-Force - Crucifix 13. Frequencerz - Burning 14. Chain Reaction - Answers (Adaro Remix) 15. A2 Allstars - The Resistance 16. Alpha Twins & Jack Of Sound - Das Weite Land 17. B-Freqz - Overdose 18. E-Force - Blood Written 19. Delete - Formula (2012 Edit) 20. Radical Redemption - Annihilate 21. Radical Redemption - Civil Disobedience 22. Adaro feat Danny Scandal - For The Street 23. Regain - Broken It made me think though: they stated that these were classic records, and I was thinking to myself that these records aren't that old, and then I went for a quick look online, and found out that they are older than I thought them to be. Obviously I didn't go through them all, but I remember 'Torture' when I was a few years younger. Turns out it's around 11 years old! Fuck me, where has the time gone to? Well, how old they might be, they still pack a punch, even in 2020. A good selection by the Infectious boys. Really enjoyed this mix. Forgot about a few of the records they have selected. But then again, I cannot keep up with everything and every trend and every update lol. I'm not a walking Wikipedia page. I need to delete some cache/cookies from time to time, and sometimes that means that I forget a track even existed! Best track in this mix? It was difficult, but you have to give all the credit to 'Torture' by Crypsis and Luna. I'm still feeling the force behind this records, and love it. It still makes me want to torture someone for real. But more importantly, I want to raise my fists to the heavens and stomp my feet hard on the ground. A Hardstyle classic, that's for sure. Check out this mix. Worth your time! • Tesla Tracks (2020)

Tesla Tracks. Ever heard of it? Well, it's not the label run by Elon Musk, but by our own Greg Peaks, and he's been releasing a lot of excellent Freeform music since the label was created. The majority of anthems are made or remade or remixed by Greg Peaks. He's involved in his own project a lot, and that's good, because we know Greg loves and makes excellent Freeform music. But does this mix do his label and his hard work any justice? Is it worth your precious time? The answer is yes, and as you would expect, this mix has been made by a regular to this website: M@rt!n-J. Yet another mix for us die hard Freeform fanatics. It's unbelievable: he keeps on making mixes over and over again. He never stops. Does he actually have time to breathe? But all jokes aside, he has done it yet again, and I would like to thank him for making my Friday evening even better. The mix contains ONLY records released on Tesla Tracks. That should be a no-brainer. Simple maths. 16 tracks in 66 minutes. We are all being treated nicely today. Well, it has been a shit day today, so let's end it on a high note, and rave until the morning Sun arrives! Press play right now! 01. Greg Peaks & Transcend - Reboot 02. Greg Peaks - Energy 03. Greg Peaks - Technician 04. Greg Peaks - Music Spheres 05. Poisecore - Awakening 06. Ephexis - Intensify (Greg Peaks & Solution Remix) 07. Greg Peaks - Love That Passion 08. Douglas - Ice Cream (Greg Peaks' XXTC Remix) 09. Ponder - Alignment (Greg Peaks' Ultra Violet Remix) 10. Greg Peaks - Darkness 11. Greg Peaks - Now 12. Greg Peaks - From Concentrate 13. Greg Peaks - States Of Consciousness 14. Greg Peaks - Deadly Nightshade 15. Greg Peaks & Kevin Energy - Bang Clara 16. Greg Peaks - Over The Moon Well, this mix delivers. Just what I need. I am sitting here, in my 'home' office, and I've had to listen to bloody radio the whole 8 hours, but after my shift finished (and my wife finished working too), it became my 'music' room. I dictate in this room what kind of music is being played. The only room in the house I'm allowed to do so. Anyway, M@rt!n-J delivers yet another mix, and he has picked a huge player in the Freeform scene. Tesla Tracks is a boss label, and Greg Peaks is a boss too. Just listen to this mix. Let the music come through those flimsy speakers, and let them enrich you fully. You need this kind of music, to relieve yourself from a hard day at work. And most of us do have hard days at work, so why not reload yourself of stress, and let Tesla take you into another dimension. No, this mix is not to celebrate Elon Musk's music career, or to get the fanboys of Tesla hyped up. Well, you could drive a Tesla AND listen to this mix. How's that for a combo? A good one. Tesla Tracks, music for our future. I'm joking, as I usually do. But I'm loving the vibes. I love the tracks, each and every one of them. You can tell it's a Greg track, it's got this distinctive sound, so recognisable, but then you think you know what is coming, and he hits you hard with a deep drop, or fantastic bit of musical bla bla I cannot even describe. Heavenly. The best one in this mix? Well, fair is fair, the first record in this mix. Can't remember when I heard this for the first time, but it blew me into a million pieces. Two bosses, together in one track. A wicked Freeform mix. Now go, and enjoy the upcoming weekend. And stay safe, don't do anything I wouldn't do. Save the NHS, save yourself too! • KUSHTI. « XL Recordings » (2020)

True ravers know about the existence of XL Recordings, and how big of an impact they had for us ravers. Maybe the younger generation know of its existence because of Adele, but to me the label always represented the majestic 90s and the raving community it co-created. In my younger years I did collect a few albums, released by XL Recordings (well, I'm lying: they were all The Prodigy albums, who am I kidding?). Over the years I have been digging deep to find mixes focussed on labels such as XL, and I have come across this mix only earlier today, an XL Recordings dedication mix, by someone called Kushti. What this DJ has done, is quite cool. Literally played all the records in order. So from the first XLT-01 to XLT-49, all rave anthems included in this mix. From the early House stuff to the Breakbeat slammers to the whatever you fancy. It is in this mix. And the funny thing is, that there are a ton of unknown records in here. I've not indulged myself fully in XL Recordings' rich history, but it seems to be impressive. Obviously I know the main anthems by artists such as The Prodigy, SL2, T99, Ellis Dee, but there are also a few in here I've not heard before. A trip down memory lane, for some. If you are old enough to remember these, you will instantly have a huge smile on your face, when you see the tracklist. Let me show it to you: 01. 2 In Rhythm - We Want Funk (Original Mix) 02. Ellis Dee - Took My Love Away (Sound Factory Mix) 03. Looney Tunes - Just As Long As I Got You (Original Version) 04. Flowmasters - Let It Take Control (Radio Version) 05. Subliminal Aura - Ease The Pressure (State Of Mind Mix) 06. Ellis Dee - I Will Survive (At The Club Mix) 07. Centrefield Assignment - Mi Casa (Mi Condo Mix) 08. 2 In Rhythm - Bionic Boogie (Ride The Groove Mix) 09. Hardcore - Get A Little Stupid (Backroom Remix) 10. Space Opera - Space 3001 (Part 1) 11. Fantasy UFO - Fantasy (Melt The Speaker) 12. The Prodigy - Android 13. John & Julie - Circles (Spiral Mix) 14. T99 - Anasthasia (Dub Mix) 15. Cubic 22 - Night In Motion (Drum & Bass Dub) 16. The Prodigy - Pandemonium 17. Set Up System - Fairy Dust (Frank De Wulf's Saga Remix) 18. SL2 - Way In My Brain 19. UHF - UHF 20. The Prodigy - Everybody In The Place 21. Liquid - Sweet Harmony 22. SL2 - On A Ragga Tip 23. The Prodigy - Fire (Sunrise Version) 24. Dance Conspiracy - Dub War (Chapter 1) 25. The Prodigy - Music Reach 1234 26. SL2 - Drumbeats 27. Dome Patrol - Ontac 28. Liquid - Liquid 29. Jonny L - Mother Acid I have to say that the track selection is really great. So many great rave anthems. True oldskool lovers, eat your heart out. This is what made our raving history be even more special. Yes, we have had many other label pushing music forward, but XL, come on, they have released some records. Records and a half. Just look at this tracklist. That's the only positive comment I can give sadly. Normally I am very generous, but today I sadly couldn't be. The mixing, is really atrocious. I've never heard of KUSHTI before, but he/she might want to check the actual mix before uploading. This is not probably their proudest moment. Too many errors. I'm talking cross fading errors, too early jumping into the next track, or even skipping records. This was sadly poorly executed. I would give this mix a pass. Not something you would want to listen to, if you want to go back in time. It would only annoy you slightly. The mixing is of such a poor quality, it ruins the records KUSHTI has used. The best record, is 'Fire' by the Prodigy. If certain mixing capabilities are improved, the mix might be salvable. The mix sadly isn't custhy. Or however Del Boy would spell it. But for now this mix is one I wouldn't rate at all, but sadly, here it goes: DJ: Kushti Genre/Style: Rave, Oldskool, Breakbeat Hardcore, House Mix Info: KUSHTI. <> Length Mix: 01:00:34 Tracks: 29 (twenty-nine) Download/Listen (via Soundcloud): LISTEN HERE File Size: unknown File Type: unknown Audio: Stereo Sample Rate: unknown More Information: Solid Sound FM - Soundcloud Page

  • Flymo Easimo Lawn Mower

Product Number 238372 A lawn mower should do the trick. And should be easy to use, and easy to put together. This is why we had to purchase a new lawn mower last Saturday (bought at Tesco, not available online) for £60. Our old lawn mower simply died after a few years in service. Simple as it looked, it was sadly a devastating nightmare to use. The wheels would regularly come off, the handlebar was a nightmare, and the one/off button would sometimes work, and sometimes decided to remain an 'off' button only. And the blade wasn't cutting the grass as good as you would expect. Electric malfunctioning led up to me purchasing the Flymo Easimo. And I've never felt more pleased. Living in a house with a humongous garden has a disadvantage. Cutting the grass isn't always the best thing to do, but when it's nearly as tall as I am (183 cm) and as thick as the jungle, it needs to be done. The new lawn mower was the option, to replace the already dead one. I remembered that we walked through the gardening section at our Tesco, and it was on offer, for £60. I didn't think much of it at the time, because we had a 'working' mower, but once I got everything ready in the garden, karma hit, and it hit hard. I should have picked it up in the first place. Back in the queue at the supermarket, and after about 15 minutes waiting, we purchased the item (alongside a few necessities). Happy as a kid, I immediately decided to unbox the item in the garden (seeing as everything was ready to go), and opened the box. As 'complicated' as the item looks in the above picture, it was dead easy to assemble. The assembly process was simply, yet the instructions weren't clear. Not as clear as I hoped them to be. But thankfully I had my thinking cap on, and figured it out. After putting everything together and plugging it into the socket, it just buzzed into life. We were greeted with the nice humming sound of a lawn mower, one that actually works. The positioning of the wheels can be adjusted, for cutting purposes. The lower the wheels are, the lower the grass will be cut. This is easy if you have a simply straight forward garden without any humps and bumps, but if it has small irregular sections, you need to raise the wheels slightly. There are several settings, so it will please a wide range of users (only with a garden; the item is useless if you live in a flat). The 'load' capacity is also great. It clearly indicates when it's full, and removing the part from the main mower is dead easy. The hook points do feel a tad flimsy, but if you use it with caution, you won't have anything to worry about. The garden was done in no time. Again, it was easy to set up, and also easy to use. Even the small detail of having two handle bars operate as 'power', that makes a difference. If you want to relieve your hand from movement, on other mowers you are limited to one side only, to operate the machine. This Flymo gives you the option to be more efficient, and reduces physical stress on certain body parts. Job done. I couldn't wish for a better garden tool. Simple, yet effective. Expectations met. And for the amount we purchased it for, it was worth every penny. This item will make gardening fun again. The way it supposed to be. PRO's: * simple to assemble * easy to use * load capacity good * adjustable wheel heights * reduces physical stress on body parts CON's: * instruction not clear * tethering points for the load basket flimsy * useless if you live in a flat I will give this item a TCD score. This is my personal view, and based on my own personal experience. The item has been purchased by myself, and will be used as long as it will last. And hopefully it will last me longer than the previous mower. Also make sure you check out Flymo's official website for more gardening tools.

  • Break The Beats (Old School Mix) (2015)

Today has been a great day. Really a good day. Yeah, I cut my finger by accident, but everything else has been extraordinary. I do mean it. Not only privately is it going well, but music wise it's going epic. No joke though: I've got yet another new mix for you guys and girls to hear. And absorb the excellent music that came out during the early years of the decade us millennials like to call 'the 90s'. And if there's one scene dominating everything during the 90s, it has got to be the rave scene. Negative A, a.k.a. Dr. Z-Vago, has made a mix a few years ago. And when I say a few years ago, I mean like half a decade ago: the mix is 5 years old, and I only discovered it a few weeks back. But no worries: at least I have discovered it. And if you haven't, well, let this be your introduction into the 'Break The Beats Old School mixtape. And it's a big one, ladies and gentlemen (and everyone else, who does not categorise themselves as either gender). Negative A has dug deep in his record collection, and has selected really the creme de la creme of anthems. If you were old enough to be raving at the times these tunes were smashing dancefloors all over the world, you should consider yourself lucky. You have experienced a decade I really wanted to experience, but sadly I'm a 1983 kid. Too young to go to underground raves. But hearing the stories and seeing those clips online makes me wonder how I would be as a person, if I was actually there? Anyway, time for the tracklist. Be ready for some eye porn! 01. 4 Hero - Mr. Kirk's Nightmare 02. Fast Eddie - Yo You Get Funky 03. Carl Cox - I Want You (Forever) (Full On Mix) 04. Deep Trip - Techno Mix 05. D.M.S. - Vengeance 38. Killerloops - Murder One 39. Smart-E's - Sesame's Street That's a tracklist and a half. This is proper Old School, if I'm honest. Boy, a lot of early memories of my childhood have re-emerged, and I'm reliving the time I was listening to these tunes over and over again. Negative A's track selection is truly astonishing. You cannot call a mix an Oldskool mix without at least a few of these monsters in there. Wow, just the impact of each individual track on the scene has been tremendous. SL2, Altern 8, The Prodigy, Carl Cox, Fast Eddie, DJ Seduction, the list goes on. Big names, and their tracks are still loved, and played in 2020. Well, if no one else is, I will. Fuck it. I'll keep the oldskool vibe going until the day I die, and I don't care what the masses say about it. Only love and admiration for this mix. Sadly not downloadable, but forever on Soundcloud. So you can listen to it, whenever and wherever you want to (if you've got the app of course). And that's certainly what I'll be doing. A fantastic mix, with no errors, or fuck ups. Just picture perfect. If you want more of this rarity mixes, go and check out Negative A's Soundcloud. I think there's an early Hip Hop/RnB mix there, and also an early Hardcore/Gabber mix. Certainly worth checking out. • Club Mix 001 (2020)

This review is kind of special. It's made by one of my former colleagues, who I've worked with for about 2 years. We both moved away from our workplace, and I think he went up North, to pursue a different career. Well, I didn't, but that's okay. Even though we don't communicate as much as we did before, I did remember him being the party animal of the company. Name a big event, and he's been there. And not just stories to share, he also had images to back them up. A true party animal. He loves his EDM. He loves it a lot. And that's really good. Not many people are into this kind of music. Not many I know of, who I've worked with. Most of my (former) colleagues only listen to the standard top 40 crap. They do not tend to experiment with music whatsoever. Kind of boring, isn't it? EDM is the future, and we know it. This is where Chris Hawkins comes in. His first club mix, uploaded about 2 weeks ago, has got those wicked EDM anthems in it. A nice Club/House mix. Not only a party animal, but also a DJ. Chris, if you are reading this; if you are going to perform at EDC in a few years time, make sure you send one ticket to me. #justsaying Here's the tracklist, for you club fanatics. 01. Kanye West x Lil Pump - I Love It (Riffa Remix) 02. 50 Cent feat Justin Timberlake - Ayo Technology (Chris Ultranova Remix) 03. Aitch - Taste (MDB Remix) 04. Dave - Professor X (Lawrence James Remix) 05. Kanye West vs Antoine Delvig x JP Candela - Hey! All Of The Lights (PBH & Jack Private Edit) 06. Joel Corry - Lonely (Apollo Remix) 07. Kid Ink feat Chris Brown - Show Me (Level Up! & K-Kyoto Remix) 08. Macklemore vs SMBAC - Can't Manhattan (Nicola Lucioli Mashup) 09. Riton x Oliver Heldens vs Cher - Turn Believe On (LIKEWISE Edit) 10. Meduza - Lose Control (Nagilo Remix) 11. Stormzy - Own It (Back N Fourth Bootleg) 12. Travis Scott feat Drake - Sicko Mode (James Hype VIP Mix) 13. T2 - Heartbroken (Shay.K Remix) 14. Wiley feat Skepta, JME & Ms D - Can You Hear Me (Jacked Remix) 15. Kungs vs Cookin On 3 Burners - This Girl (William Ribeiro & Marina Diniz Remix) 16. Lil Nas X - Old Town Road (Alex Tozzo Club Remix) 17. RHCP x Fisher - Otherside (Switch Disco Edit) 18. Bee Gees vs Dom Dolla - Stayin Sanfrandisco (Fresh Kiwi Mashup) 19. AJ Tracey - Ladbroke Grove (James Hype VIP) 20. Kardinal Offishall feat Akon - Dangerous (Jacked DUBMIX Remix) 21. Alyx Ander & Dallerium - Spotlight (Original Mix) 22. Sam Smith & Normani - Dancing With A Stranger (Studio9 Remix) I have to say that, even though I love music, I never heard any of these records before. Well, regulars to this website know I love my music slightly harder and faster, and I do miss out on other styles, such as Club and House. I do know some original records, like T2, Kanye West, 50 Cent, etc, but the majority are unknown to me. Maybe I should invest my time now in searching for more mixes like this one, and see what's out there? Chris' mix contains a lot of nice versions of already wicked anthems. A nice mellow mix to start my Sunday morning with. An hour of Chris in the mix. I do like the mix. The build up is alright, and he's got some dancefloor fillers in his mix. I know he also DJ's in clubs, so he's not just a bedroom DJ. Never had the chance to hear him perform, but hey, it might happen after this COVID-19 is over. But for now, we can only appreciate music being mixed in mainly living rooms and bedrooms. A few small minor errors occurred. Nothing major. Cross fading errors. But nothing to be embarrassed about. A good attempt to create a wicked Sunday morning chill mix. And it does have nice anthems in here. What else would you want? Keep the mixes coming, Chris. Hope you are okay. • Omar Santana - Fire In The Brain - Tape 2 (1997)

Last year, in April, I reviewed Omar's Fire In The Brain mixtape. This mixtape was divided into two tapes, and I only heard the first one. Seeing as Omar Santana has been quite active on social media lately, I thought I might give the old Soundcloud a browse. And guess what? I found the second mixtape! Obviously the one place I had to go to was magpie303's page. If you want to visit the ultimate Hardcore page on Soundcloud, his page is the best place to go to. With nearly 6 and a half thousands records (mostly mixes), he gives us our daily Hardcore injection, which we all need. And sometimes he finds these hidden gems, ones I've not even heard or seen before, like Omar's mixtape. If truth be told, I was always into tapes, but only home made ones. I think I only ever had about 5-10 tapes pre-recorded. For example, this mixtape was released around 1997, I was only 13, and wasn't making much money. Only money gained from delivering newspapers, and boy, that was shit. The internet did exist, but not to me. I had to rely on our local music store, and they weren't into Hardcore tapes. They focussed on CDs mostly, so that's where my money went to. And we can complain about everything, but CD quality always wins over cassette quality. Always. How endearing the crackling noise might sound, and rewinding the tape with a pencil can be quite intoxicating, but CD quality was always better. So maybe that's why tapes were never in my eye of sight. But, in a weird way, I do hate myself for not investing any pennies into mixtapes. Still wouldn't have a clue how I would retrieve them back in the mid 90s. Again, it wasn't widely available as such, and I wasn't even allowed to have anything Hardcore related in our house: my mum banned the music from our house. Literally throw albums away, if she knew it was 'Thunderdome'-ish. So I was always fucked, had to hide them everywhere. But mum being mum, she always found them. So I became inventive: I bought albums that looked like normal albums, and didn't contain the word 'Thunderdome' on the cover. Funnily enough, my first compilation was purchased by my mum, and was Mysteryland 1994. And guess what the first disc was called? 'Thunderdome'. But she didn't know. A sneaky reminder of how I had to deal with parents who hated it. Anyway, I am ranting on and on. I nearly forgot what I was talking about. Omar Santana and his mixtape. I did appreciate his Hardcore stuff during the heydays of Hardcore. The 'Heroes Of Hardcore' compilation had an American version of it, and I did play that over and over. Delirium, Rob Gee, and Omar Santana. As far as I can remember that being the only Omar Santana mix CD I have ever owned. Don't know why I've never bought anything else. So many questions, no answers given. The mixtape! Yeah, let's focus on that. magpie303 has found this obscure tape, and uploaded it two years ago. I already reviewed the first tape, now it's time for the second tape. And I'm guessing you want to see the tracklist, right? 01. The Stunned Guys - Beats Time 02. Tellurian - Hardcore Junkies 03. Wasting Program - Bring That Shit Back 04. Chosen Few - Chosen Paradise 05. Cybernators - Ridiculous Lyrics (Ruffex Remix By Ectomorph & Myrmidon) 06. Insane - Kiss My Ass 07. Paradox - My DJ....Cutz 08. French Connection - French Connection 09. DJ Weirdo & DJ Sim - Kick This Muthaf#@ka (DJ Jordens Remix) 10. Public Domain - So Get Up (Dr. Phil's Mix) 11. Jack Lucifer - 95 Knights (Don't Fear The Darkness) 12. Queens Boro Crew - The Paradox 13. Jack Lucifer - After All Wars 14. Liza N' Eliaz & Dano - Pavlow 15. The New York Terrorist - Hellbound Terror 16. Manga Corps - The Hunter 17. Rave Creator - A New Mind 18. The New York Terrorist - The Beast 19. Oh Bonic - Respeck Da Tec 20. Omar Santana - Speed Freak 21. Predator - I'm Trippin' Wow. So many forgotten anthems. Obviously the well known anthems are in here too, but there's shitloads of unknown or forgotten anthems in here too. Maybe I have heard them before, but never clocked them? But also during its heyday, I wasn't too much into the extreme stuff, the hard hard stuff. I did like it, but never paid too much attention to it. Yes, I was more into the happy side of Hardcore. Please forgive me. But anyway, the mix. Or in this case, the mixtape. Released nearly 23 years ago. Still sounds fresh. And it's lit. But also in a weird way, not layered as you would expect it? Let me explain myself: a 'normal' mix would start off slow, and go mental towards the end. The BPMs would go up and up, but never start 'slow', go hard halfway through, go slow again after, go hard, go soft, etc. You catch my drift. Just check it around the 40 minute mark. You will understand what I'm saying. I did like this mixtape a lot. Unconventional. Different. In a strange way, it was exactly what I was expecting from mister Santana. But not a lot of his own productions in here, that's a bummer. Would have appreciated if more of his own stuff was in here. Or maybe he used an alias of his own that I'm not familiar with. Go and enjoy this obscure mixtape. Let the music sink in. Get this down you, especially now. Lockdown has given us the opportunity to stay indoors, and have the speakers do the talking. Maybe the layout of the tracks might not appeal to you, but certainly the music will. The best track, for me, has to be 'So Get Up'. Public Domain were so awesome. Check this out. And check out magpie's channel too. It's fucking awesome. • arps - The Locked Down Mix (2020)

arps is bored. Or he's in prison. Whatever he is, he's back with a new mix. Last week he tagged me on Facebook, and asked if I was bored. Well, truth be told, I was doing some DIY, so yeah, I was busy. Still liked the mix on Soundcloud. I always do that, if I need to check a mix or set later. So that's what I've done. I know I am a week late, but still I am checking it out. And to confirm: he's not in prison. He's actually made it look quite professional. But he does look bored though. Does that mean he's bored due to the music being absolute kak? Nope. He's not bored because of the music. The music, as always, is spot on. This time the focus of this mix is obviously Kniteforce records, and also 4 The Core Recordings. But the main focus is Breakbeat Hardcore. And isn't that a style we all love? Quite simply, this mix is dope. All new anthems. I've not heard any of these before, so it's a treat. Let's go into this weekend with a smile on our faces, and with Breakbeat coming out of our speakers, at a maximum level, when it comes to the volume. Let's get fucked! 01. Liquid Crystal - You Got Me (Pete Cannon Remix) 02. Mata - In The Rave 03. InnerCore - Want Some More 04. Industries Of The Blend - The Speakers 05. DJ Con-E - Second Chance 06. Sub Fundation - Let's Go Crazy 07. Industries Of The Blend - Adventures In Time & Space 08. Mata - Laguna 09. Luna-C - Success 'n Mistreat (Pre-School Mix) 10. Pete Cannon - Dynamite (Liquid Crystal Remix) 11. Mata - Weekend 12. Sub Fundation - Jack The Typewriter 13. Sublove - A Better Place 14. Sublove - 140 (Lowercase & Cru-L-T Remix) 15. Citadel Of Kaos - Ronnie's Revenge 16. arps - I Can't Tell 17. Ponder, HB & Caine - Savage 18. Alk-E-D - Merlin Sound 19. Luna-C - Bomb Da Bassline (Shoreman Remix) 20. New Decade - Get The Message (Hyper-On Experience Remix) 21. Alk-E-D - The Weekender (Paul Bradley Remix) 22. Abyss - Soundclash 23. Luna-C - The Hurricane (DJ Beeno Remix) 24. NRG - It's Ruff (Luna-C Remix) 25. arps - Think Ya Know 26. JDS - Stomp It Up A lot of new music, that makes TCD happy. But hopefully I'm not the only one who's happy right now. Please don't be as miserable as arps. God, he looks unhappy. But thankfully his mix is good. But let's be serious for a minute. He's made yet another epic mix. Full with Breakbeat Hardcore anthems. If you like the sound of that, make sure you press play. As usual, you do get a lot of piano driven records. That's basically a necessity when it comes to Breakbeat: if you don't have a piano section, is it even Breakbeat? Bro, do you even lift? It needs a piano section. It was 66 minutes of pure Breakbeat heaven. I really enjoyed the mix. At one stage though the mix goes a bit wonky. Could be due to recording issues, or maybe a mistake by arps. It's because of the lockdown, blame it on that. I've got only love to give for this mix. Nothing bad, only Breakbeat anthems. And how can I be negative about that? A solid combination. And yet another wicked mix by arps. Check out his mix right now! • Reclaim Your City 379 | Marc Acardipane (2020)

If you are a die hard Gabber/Hardcore fanatic, I do not need to explain who the Godfather of Hardcore is. Some might say it's Paul Elstak, or DJ Rob, but to me (and many others) it's Marc Acardipane. This German DJ and producer has been giving us music since 1989, and not only that; he has also used a shit ton of aliases. Some I knew, but the majority I didn't. Seriously didn't. I just went on Discogs to see if I was right about something, and I saw that his alias-list is seriously impressive. Didn't expect that. That I didn't know. But what I do know and underline, is his impact in the Hardcore scene. He has major success throughout the years, mainly with his Marshall Masters alias. You know you have made it as an artist if Scooter rips your song, and ruins it forever. That's when you know you have reached ultimate stardom. Ultimate fame. All jokes aside, Marc has been at the forefront of Hardcore for many years, and to find this mix, containing only his tracks, is just subliminal. Exquisite. And it also contains a few, never released tracks. So a bonus for us all! But he's not only been active in the Hardcore scene, also the Techno scene. So, what can you expect in this mix? Literally everything. Madness galore! It's made by the freaking Godfather of Hardcore. So the mix will be awesome. The only time I have ever witnessed him, was back in 1998. Mysteryland Outdoor, mainstage. And I loved the set. I was 14 years old, all alone, among 25.000 ravers. And I had the time of my life. And Marc played the tunes for this teenager. He made my youth slightly better! So this mix is going to be great. If you are a Marc Acardipane fan, you'll love the tracklist! It's lit! 01. Marc Acardipane feat Nasty Django - Play Da Same Ol' Song (Desperados Go West) 02. Marc Acardipane feat The Mover & The Horrorist - Flash Nights (Original Mix) 03. Marc Acardipane - C.S.W.K. (Original Mix) 04. Marc Acardipane feat Dusty Angel - A Trip - Ute 2 Belgium (Original Mix) 05. Marc Acardipane feat Dick Rules - Psycho (Original Mix) 06. Marc Acardipane feat Pilldriver - Doin' Drugs (Original Mix) 07. The Horrorist - Mission Ecstasy 2003 (Phuture Remix By Marc Acardipane) 08. Marc Acardipane - Intruder (Original Mix) 09. Marc Acardipane feat Marshall Masters - E-Day (Original Mix) 10. Marc Acardipane - Lost Angel (Original Mix) 11. The Mover a.k.a. Marc Acardipane - Track One (Original Mix / Remastered 2019) 12. Marc Acardipane feat Pilldriver - Apocalypse Never (Original Mix) 13. Marc Acardipane feat Mescalinum United - We Have Arrived (The Mover Remix II) 14. Marc Acardipane feat The Horrorist - Metal Man (Original Mix) 15. Marc Acardipane - One World No Future (Original Mix) 16. Marc Acardipane feat Marshall Masters - E-Ternal (Original Mix) 17. Marc Acardipane feat Marshall Masters - Return To Zero (Extended Mix / Official Mysteryland Anthem 1998) 18. Marc Acardipane feat Rave Creator - Into Sound (Marshall Masters Remix) 19. Marc Acardipane feat The Ultimate MC - Today Tomorrow Forever (Original Mix) 20. Marc Acardipane feat Rave Creator - A New Mind (Cold Rush Phuture Mix / Remastered 2020) 21. Marc Acardipane feat Mescalinum United - Jupiter Union (Original Mix) 22. Marc Acardipane feat Mescalinum United - The 2nd Coming (Remastered 2020) 23. Marc Acardipane feat Rave Creator - Wake Up (Original Mix) 24. Marc Acardipane feat Rave Creator - Another Black Sunday (Original Mix) 25. Marc Acardipane feat Rave Creator - Astral Demons 94 (Cold Planet Remix) 26. Marc Acardipane feat Tony G - Loveless (Underground Mix) Now this is a proper tracklist and a half. Has given me finger RSI. Bloody Nora, that wasn't easy. Should have copy-pasted it. Instead I decided to type the whole bloody thing. Stupid ass. Anyway, at least I know all the tracks in here. Well, knowing them is a big word. I know of their existence. There's a lot of exclusive records in here. Some so obscure, never even been released before. Some remastered, or remixed. But all focussed on the mighty Marc. The legend that is Marc Acardipane. You cannot go wrong. This man is a living legend, and I had the honour to witness him playing live. That has been a memory on its own. And even 22 years later I do appreciate his music, and his input into the scene I love. Don't get me wrong, his Techno stuff is good too! But I do prefer his Hardcore side. Especially the melodic stuff. Who doesn't love his most famous anthem of all time: I Like It Loud? Which, funnily enough, isn't even in this mix. But to me, the music released around 1998-1999, holds the most memories. This is when I got active in the Hardcore scene: the year 1998 was the year I lost my Hardcore virginity. So melodic stuff, yes! The best anthem? So many. But 'Intruder' and 'Return To Zero' are both my favourites. I just love these. Even in 2020 I am still feeling like that teenager, dancing in his living room, while listening to Hardcore on cassettes and CDs, using portable players (which never skipped, but ALWAYS did anyway). The good ol' days. Marc is and will be the Godfather of Hardcore. The legend. And this mix is proof of his ongoing legacy. Hardcore will never die, nor will Marc's impact on our world. Without him, Hardcore wouldn't even be this big. We owe his so much. We owe him our gratitude for making these anthems. Marc, please never stop. You've made my past, present, and future! • Hardcore HakMuziek Vol 8 - Masters Of Hardcore Digital Tribute 2012 Pt 2 (2020)

It is Sunday. Hardcore day. Or Hakdag, as the Dutch would describe it. But to those die-hard Hardcore fanatics, every day is Hakdag. And after a hard days work yesterday, I needed something hard and rough. Therefore I went to my good ol' friend Soundcloud, and found this mix, made by DJ Psyvex. A mix focussed on the Masters Of Hardcore anthems from around 2012. Thinking about this: those anthems are roughly 8 years old! OMG, time has flown by. Anyway, before we start ranting about the age of the records used by Psyvex, let's focus on the mix and the music he has selected. As mentioned before, these are the anthems released around 2012. All focussed on the Masters Of Hardcore sound. And as you would expect, the mix is quite hard and rough. Fuck Sunday mornings, let's all wake the fuck up. If you are digging this mix, he's got two mixes of these online (including the one we are talking about), and a third mix is coming. So keep your eyes peeled. Did someone say tracklist? Here it is! 01. Wasted Mind - Crypt 02. Korsakoff & Re-Style - Unconquered 03. Korsakoff - Amber 04. Korsakoff - Blind 05. Javi Boss - Destruction 06. Angerfist - The Desecrated 07. Javi Boss - Cursed Days 08. Korsakoff - Center Of Mass 09. Dyewitness - Masterplan (State Of Emergency & Outblast feat MC Syco Remix) 10. Outblast - Superhero Complex 11. Catscan - Wake Of Liberty 12. Miss K8 - Liquid8 13. Outblast & Re-Style - Omnipotence 14. Re-Style feat Mercenary - We Go Back 15. Masters Elite - Tied By Sound (Official Syndicate Anthem) 16. Javi Boss feat MC Tha Watcher - Destiny Today 17. Re-Style - Wasteland (Official Bassleader 2012 Anthem) 18. Javi Boss - Faka 19. Drokz & Day-Mar - Unite 20. Outblast & Drokz - Be Yourself 21. Angerfist - Fuck The Promqueen (Tripped Remix) 22. Angerfist - Eraser This mix will certainly wake you up. I am wide awake now after another dreadful night of no sleep. I'm guessing that the second I stop listening to this mix I will dose off completely. So maybe I should have this on repeat the whole day? As with a proper Hardcore mix, you start off slow, and build up the pace. The harder the better, but never start fast. Always let the music build up, and that's what Psyvex has done. Terror at the end. That's the way to do it. I did like this mix. Even though it's not oldskool, it still takes me back a few years. How the music sounded different compared to the present day Hardcore. Slightly different. And back in 2012 they made probably one of the dopest anthems ever. 'Tied By Sound'. Such a catchy anthem. One of my favourite anthems of all time. Sadly they also made crap music. I don't think that's really bound by any year. But Dyewitness' 'Masterplan' should have never been remixed. The original is always 100 times better. This version is just horrible, absolute kak. Psyvex has made a wicked mix. Go check this one out, also the first instalment, and keep your eyes open for the third instalment. Coming soon. • Pete Bromley Pres: 1986-1990 History Of House Classics Move FM Mix (2013)

Another week of paradise. Oh, sorry, I meant lockdown. Some are still working from home, and some are not. We are all in this together, and as dreadful as it might be, there's still a positive side to this all. I am not sure what they are, but one of the things that we've gained, is more time to access the internet. And whilst doing that, we keep finding hidden gems. The other day I was listening to a good oldskool mix, and it used a familiar beat. It didn't have a tracklist, but I knew the song. A quick search lead up to one of the dopest anthems of all time, and also to the mix I'm reviewing as we speak. It's a huge statement: one of the dopest anthems of all time. But when I do say such a thing, I do mean it. But is the accompanied mix any good? Is it worth your time? Well, if you like House music, and especially the early stuff, you won't be disappointed. The DJ behind this mix is Pete Bromley, sadly never came across his name before. But this mix was made for this specific radio show. It does contain the big House anthems from the early days. This will bring a smile on your face, and if you were old enough to have witnessed this, it might even bring you back into the warehouses and underground venues this all took place in. Tracklist anyone? 01. Nitro Deluxe - Let's Get Brutal 02. Fallout - The Morning After 03. Black Riot - A Day In The Life 04. Orange Lemon - Dreams Of Santa Anna 05. Orbital - Chime 06. Ten City - That's The Way Love Is 07. Farley 'Jackmaster' Funk & Jessie Saunders - Love Can't Turn Around 08. Lil Louis - French Kiss 09. Steve 'Silk' Hurley - Jack Your Body 10. Adonis - No Way Back 11. Ralphi Rosario feat Xavier Gold - You Used To Hold Me 12. Pierre's Fantasy Club - Dream Girl 13. Marshall Jefferson - The House Music Anthem 14. Sterling Void & Paris Brightledge - It's All Right 15. Kenny 'Jammin' Jason with 'Fast' Eddie Smith - Can U Dance 16. Sweet D - Thank Ya 17. Joe Smooth Inc. feat Anthony Thomas - The Promised Land 18. Dionne - Come Get My Lovin' 19. The Todd Terry Project - Back To The Beat 20. Jungle Brothers - I'll House You 21. Maurice - This Is Acid (A New Dance Craze) 22. Fast Eddie - Acid Thunder 23. Fast Eddie - Yo Yo Get Funky 24. Rhythim Is Rhythim - Strings Of Life Pete has selected the big records. The big guns. I don't think there's one track in here that anyone of us doesn't know. As underground as it was at the beginning, as worldly known as all these records are nowadays. I cannot imagine a world without House music. This is the sound I grew up with. And boy, these are all solid anthems. It doesn't matter when or where you play these songs, you will always get people smiling when they hear those familiar chords. Even though some are going towards the forgotten anthem section in our minds, they will still be recognised. And adored. Pete's selection is great. The mix would have been a tad better if there were more obscure anthems in here. But nevertheless a big selection. But which anthem is credited by yours truly as 'one of the dopest of all time'? Simple answer: Sweet D's 'Thank Ya'. I cannot explain why, but when you do hear this anthem, personally I loose myself completely. I am such a fan of this minimalistic approach. And it's also catchy as fuck. This should be on more people's 'top 10' lists. I love that tune. A good mix, a few mixing errors, but he did state that he was using vinyl only. Hence why errors did occur here and there. Still doesn't make the mix any less enjoyable though. Download this, and go back to mid 80s - early 90s. Hop on the oldskool train. Hope the train never stops! • Fracus & Darwin @ Hardcore Heaven, Los Angeles, 21.2.20

The boys at Hardcore Underground have been busy. Not only are they repping their own music, but they've also taken over this legendary UK Hardcore CD compilation, and they also throw events all over the world. A month and a half ago, they were in Los Angeles, and played alongside names such as Hixxy, Macks Wolf, Jakka-B, Sc@r, Saiyan, Flapjack, Ryan Kore, Kitsch, Delusion, and D3tour. The event was sold out, but that's obvious: such a superstar line-up. And look at the picture of Fracus and Darwin: superstar DJs wear sunglasses at night. That's dope. All jokes aside. Fracus and Darwin are both legends. And they know it. I've seen them perform several times, but truth be told, it's been too long since I last saw them. I've been listening to a lot of their music, but just simply didn't find the time to see them. Lucky bastards in Los Angeles. They had the opportunity to see the living legends play the finest tunes. And their set is filled with both their own classics, remixed classics, and a few brand new anthems. Thankfully HU added a tracklist. Would miss out one of the best anthem of the year. You'll find out which one I'm talking about, but if we still had the Hardcore Awards, this would be a contender for the anthem of the year 2020. 01. Eclipse - 24/7 (Fracus & Darwin's 2019 VIP) 02. Maxi Malone - The Only One I Need 03. Fracus & Darwin - Together We Grow 04. Scott Brown & Cat Knight - All About You (Fracus & Darwin Remix) 05. Skinny & Darwin - Waxin' Waxin' 06. Fracus & Darwin vs Gavin G - Falling Out Of Love 2018 07. Michael Mansion - Let Me In (Fracus & Darwin's Blu The Roof Mix) 08. Fracus & Darwin - Heart On Fire (Remix) 09. Fracus & Darwin - 8Bit Is Everything (Megadrive Mix) 10. RedMoon & Meron Ryan - Never Let Go (Fracus & Darwi Remix) 11. Fracus & Darwin - Now It's Over 12. Brisk & VAGABOND - The Only Ones (Fracus VIP) 13. DJ Red Alert & Mike Slammer - In Effect (Fracus & Darwin Remix) 14. Fracus & Darwin vs Macks Wolf - Hold On To The Fire 15. Fracus & Darwin - Share This Love (Remix) 16. Fracus & Darwin feat Jess Palmer - Love Comes Back (Remix) I have to say that their set is truly astonishing! Really exciting stuff in here. If you don't know who they are, this is a good introduction. But how come you don't know who they are? Everyone, and I mean everyone knows Fracus and Darwin! Darwin invented this theory, right, and it's about evolution. Fracus, well, he's a producer. And together they make this awesome UK Hardcore. Blending worlds together. I am obviously talking out of my ass here. But seriously, if you are reading and think 'who are these two dodgy looking blokes in the above image', something is seriously wrong with you. They are true Hardcore legends, and have paved the way for new talent, and have done wonders, by sharing UK Hardcore all over the world. Mighty producers, and also excellent DJs too. And nice blokes too. Last time I met them both, we had a wonderful time. Could be because I was wasted, but hey, at least I had fun. This mix is jam packed with classic anthems. This is truly a F&D mix. They've selected the finest records in their already immense back catalogue, and treated the fans in Los Angeles to a very fucking fine set. Judging their skills is easy: they are top notch DJs. Producing skills? The best of the best. And in February they played probably the dopest record of 2020: 'Hold On To The Fire'. What a beast of a record! I heard this one for the first time just now, and I've already increased the plays on this set by 27697. I've kept playing this record over and over. Who's the vocalist by the way? She's got the voice of an angel. It was a highly enjoyable set. And I must imagine that those who were there, had a wonderful time. I didn't enjoy the MC. Thankfully he's silent throughout most of their set. But the MC aside, this is yet another epic set by the boys. I am a proud supporter of these guys. Legends. Living legends. Ps. you might want to read on Darwin's theory. It is quite interesting. • Rob IYF - Lock-In Restival 2020

I've been on social media a lot lately due to COVID-19, and I can say that I've seen at least 95% of all the videos on Youtube, liked thousands of posts, seen the most ridiculous videos and Instagram posts, but somehow I've completely missed this event called 'Lock-In Restival'. How's that even freaking possible? How come I've not seen one post of it? Stupid Facebook algorithm. OK, I've missed this event completely, but thankfully Rob IYF has uploaded his hour long set recorded especially for this event. Social distancing is important, so to still get us all raving, this virtual rave was created. And Rob's set is filled with Hardstyle anthems. I wasn't expecting that at all, if I'm honest. I was expecting a full on UK Hardcore mix. Have we lost Rob? Is he fully focussed on Hardstyle now? I know I can be a dopey twat, but The Watchmen: isn't that Al Storm and Rob IYF, right? Anyway, here's the tracklist. I normally start ranting on about literally nothing, so let's just dive straight into the tracklist, before madness takes over: 01. The Watchmen - HGHR LV 02. The Watchmen vs Nobody - King Of My Castle 03. N-Trance - Set You Free (The Watchmen vs Slay Remix) 04. Sound Rush - Rhythm Of The Night 05. Sash! - Ecuador (Macks Wolf Edit) 06. SOTA - We Got That 07. Black & White feat Angie Brown - Get Your Hands Up (The Watchmen 170 Remix) 08. Rob IYF - Heaven 09. Evolve feat Lisa Abbott - Forever Together (Rob IYF Remix) 10. Atmosfearz & Demi Kanon - Move Ma Body (Rob IYF Bootleg) 11. Rob IYF & Monster - Turn Back The Time 12. Bang! vs Rob IYF & Al Storm - Love, Life & Happiness 13. Rob IYF - Fast Car 14. The Watchmen vs Klubfiller - Bang Yer Head Off 15. Dither - Detonate 16. Fitzy-K - Final Call (The Watchmen 180 Remix) 17. S3RL - MTC (The Watchmen Remix) 18. The Watchmen - Boom Boom Boom 19. Dither - The Prophecy 20. Al Storm - Surrender (The Watchmen Remix) Well, I said earlier that we might have lost Rob IYF to Hardstyle, but that might not be entirely true. This mix still contains UK Hardcore inspired anthems and sounds. But with a 2020 twist. Why not have a bit of both worlds? I do like it though. A lot of Watchmen stuff in here. And the one thing I've noticed is that they do like to re-make the classics, like 'Heaven, 'Ecuador', 'Set You Free', 'Boom Boom Boom', and more. It's a common thing now, isn't it? Get the classics back in our minds again. Keep us raving with the old records being remade for 2020. Sounds good. Even though nearly 90% of the records were made by The Watchmen, the one records I really love, is Sound Rush's 'Rhythm Of The Night'. That's just an epic record. Really one that keeps me going. Good choice in any mix, to have this record. The crowds will loose themselves fully. Following this record I've selected 'Final Call' as second best record. I do find the vocals absolutely amazing! I've really enjoyed this set. A bit of everything in here. Hardstyle? Check. UK Hardcore? Check. Gabber? Check. Maybe a bit unusual, to have literally everything crammed and not in order (slower tracks first, ending with harder anthems), but it's lockdown. Why not fuck things up? I've tried to download this mix, but the website wasn't working sadly. You might try it later, see if it works. • Merciless Monsters Special Edition #09 - Totally Tommyknocker (2020)

I am not familiar with Mercenary, but who I do know, is Tommyknocker. This legend has been pushing Hardcore from Italy for so long now: I cannot imagine Hardcore being around without Tommyknocker in it. This man has meant so much to the Hardcore scene, it's really unreal how many slammers this man has created over the years. Mercenary decided to create this monster mix, containing ONLY Tommyknocker anthems. And there are 60 crammed in this 2 hour and a half long mix. 60 of Tommyknocker's finest records. One of the finest producers out of Italy. I think the only time I witnessed Tommyknocker was at Raving Nightmare - Brutal Truth, back in 2008. Wow, can't believe it's nearly 12 years ago. Fucking hell. But I did witness him there (as far as I can remember). Most of my partying memories are based on alcohol infused nights, so it might be true or not. It's all a tad cloudy. But I certainly went to Raving Nightmare. Anyway, let's talk about this mix. I had another of Mercenary's mixes saved, but never came around to review it. He has made 3 in total, focussed on artists: DJ D, Nosferatu, and now Tommyknocker. In the tracklist you are about to see, there are 60 really awesome records. Some I have even forgotten about. And some that take me back to Raving Nightmare years. The years so precious to me. These are the years when Hardcore was awesome. Italian Hardcore has always been slightly better than Dutch Hardcore, if truth be told. They just had something unique. A different approach on Hardcore. A pleasant sound, vibe. The tracklist, if you were interested. And you should be. So here it is: 01. Tommyknocker - The Aftermath 02. Tommyknocker vs DJ Mad Dog - Clockwork 03. Tommyknocker & MC Lob - The Realm 04. T-Factor - How Many More Out There? 05. Tommyknocker & MC Lob - Millenium 06. The Stunned Guys & DJ Paul - Thrillseeka (T-Factor remix) 07. Tommyknocker - The Nutrition 08. Tommyknocker & MC Lob - Full of Shit 09. Headbanger - Violator (Tommyknocker Remix) 10. Tommyknocker - Showtime 11. Holy Crown Forces - Feel The Force 12. Tommyknocker & Armageddon Project - Thy Kingdom Fall 13. Tommyknocker - Twist 14. Tommyknocker vs DJ Mad Dog - Snap Off 15. Art of Fighters & Tommyknocker - Follow Me 16. Tommyknocker - In The Shadow 17. Endymion - Payback (Tommyknocker's Yes I Am remix) 18. Tommyknocker - Revolution 19. Tommyknocker - Dream:Scream 20. Amnesys & Tommyknocker feat Jessica Pearson - Eliminate 21. Tommyknocker - Before You Go #TiH 22. Tommyknocker - The World Is Mine (DJ Inyoung & Static Remix) 23. Paul Elstak vs Tommyknocker - Party Hard 24. The Viper & Tommyknocker feat Da Mouth of Madness - The Prophecy Unfolds (Tha Playah Remix) 25. Tommyknocker - Domination 26. Tommyknocker - Criminal 27. Tha Playah - Fuck The Titties (The Viper & Tommyknocker Remix) 28. Tommyknocker - Hurricane 29. Tommyknocker feat. Ian K - Scream 30. Tommyknocker - Demolition 31. Tommyknocker - Learn From The Pain 32. Paul Elstak vs Tommyknocker - Danger Danger (Tommyknocker Mix) 33. DJ Mad Dog & Tommyknocker - Who's The Best 34. Tommyknocker - T-2012 35. Tommyknocker feat. MC Justice - Nocturnal Rituals 36. Evil Activities & DJ Neophyte - To You Who Doubt Me (Tommyknocker Remix) 37. The Stunned Guys - Atmorico (Mad Dog & Tommyknocker Mashup) 38. Tommyknocker - One Sick DJ 39. Tommyknocker - Sometimes 40. Traxtorm Creatures Allied - Disposal of Outer Power (Eardrumx on Blood Mix) 41. The Stunned Guys & Tommyknocker - Your Choice 42. Tommyknocker - Crunk 43. The Viper & Tommyknocker - World of Hurt 44. Tommyknocker - Wild 45. Amnesys & Tommyknocker - Blackout (Official Ground Zero Hardcore 2016 Anthem) 46. Tommyknocker feat MC Justice - Nocturnal Rituals (Tieum Remix) 47. Tommyknocker - Shogun 48. Tommyknocker - Nobody Stopping This 49. Tieum & Tommyknocker - Post Traumatik Stress 50. Tommyknocker - Demolition (Evil Activities & Lenny Dee Remix) 55. Unexist & Tommyknocker - Step Into Our World 56. Tommyknocker & The Braindrillerz feat MC Ghost - Weed Song 57. Traxtorm Gangstaz Allied - The Hardest (TRSE Creatures Remix) 58. Tommyknocker & Art of Fighters - Your Betrayal 59. Unexist feat Tommyknocker & Lenny Dee - Destructive Behaviour 60. 3 Steps Ahead - Drop It (Tommyknocker & The Stunned Guys Remix) Welcome to the aftermath. Fuck me sideways. Normally I would wait with announcing the best record of a mix, but seeing as it's literally the FIRST record used by Mercenary, how can I not mention it? This, to me, is the pinnacle of Hardcore made around the Millennium era. This truly captures the strength and power behind Hardcore music. Such an underrated classic anthem. Not. a lot of bullshitting happening, just straight towards the music. But, not only was the first record a truly remarkable one, but the 59 records following it were. Such a good selection of tracks. I might have a 'crush' on Tommyknocker's music. I truly find it astonishing that this man has the power to make anthem after anthem, over and over again. You can say whatever you say about all of his music, but we have to agree that he's a musical genius. He certainly is. To me, he's the world's finest and best Hardcore producer. I can only give Mercenary credit for fabricating such an awesome mix. It's wicked, it's good, it's excellent. No word of a lie. This has been 2 and a half hours of pure nostalgia. Pure porn, for Hardcore lovers. And to finish the mix with the tribute record to 3 Steps Ahead, good choice. Bring back the Millennium sound. We need more of this. Tommyknocker is such a legend! • Subculture Spring 2020 Mix

The world is all in lockdown, and we are all hugging the internet like it's our long lost friend. But truth be told, it does bring us in a way together. Lots of music is being presented on it nowadays, and I cannot stop listening to it. Every day I'm browsing on Soundcloud, to see what has been uploaded. And today I have found yet another mix I wanted to share with you guys and girls. A mix made by the legendary John O'Callaghan. He doesn't need an introduction. A Trance legend. Someone who knows how to please the fans. And with this Subculture Spring 2020 Mix he's certainly pleasing everyone who has had the chance to listen to it yet. Including yours truly. Put both names together (John O'Callaghan and Subculture) and what do you get? An hour of awesome music. Within only 17 days this mix has already reached 12.5k+ plays. Will you Adam & Eve it? Well, as I said in the first section, people are embracing the internet now more than ever, and their craving for partying has only increased. Once this all is over and we can 'go outside' again, those parties will be the best ones in your lifetime. You don't know you miss them until you are not allowed to attend. And 2020 will be known as the year we all had to stay indoors. But hopefully not for long though. Time for us to start partying again. To keep us entertained until lockdown has been revoked, we can listen to this brilliant Spring mix. It still contains a few ID-less records, so if you do know them, please leave a comment underneath, and we shall add them manually. 01. Maria Healy - ID 02. Will Rees - Into The Light 03. Mercurial Virus - Turning Point (Billy Gillies Remix) 04. Flynn & Denton feat Audrey Gallagher - Say My Name (Paul Denton Remix) 05. ID - ID 06. Daniel Skyver - Stay Close 07. Nikolauss - ID 08. Alan Morris - Fire In Your Eyes 09. Tom Colontonio feat CiBon Rielle - The Sun (Nikolauss #140 Remix) 10. Josh Ferrin - Mauna Kea 11. Mercurial Virus - ID 12. Cold Blue - ID Again, if you know the missing or ID-less anthems, please do comment underneath this mix, and I will add them. Or you could also go to 1001 tracklists, and amend the already existing tracklist? Whatever you do, make it count. Regarding this mix: it's a beauty. Classic anthems galore. And even though these are NOT that old, I know for sure they will eventually become Trance classics. This hour long mix has really pleased me during the first day of our long Easter weekend. I hope everyone will stay safe, and keep a 1.5/2 meter distance between each other, if you have to go outside. If you don't, just stay indoors, and press play. John O'Callaghan has got you covered. No mistakes have been found, nor any 'crap' anthems. John's mix contains 12 really and truly excellent anthems. It was difficult to pick one favourite one, so I chose two. I couldn't just decide on one, so my two favourite ones are 'Fire In Your Eyes' and 'Mauna Kea'. Trance heaven, and what a delight it was to hear them. A fantastic mix, but did you expect anything less from this man? A wonderful mix, hope you are enjoying it as much as I have! • NOISSIER - Born In A Lockdown Mix (2020)

So we start today with a brand new mix by a new artist called NOISSIER. Someone who has created this persona during lockdown, hence the title of this mix. And it's an hour long mix, filled with Techno anthems. Anthems, to keep COVID-19 away from all of us. Truth be told, there isn't much I can share about this artist. Really only came onto the scene a couple of weeks ago. Only one mix on Soundcloud. And his pictures do not show anything whatsoever. Not even if it's a he, she, or any other gender. A mystery. And so is this mix. Not familiar with the DJ who mixed this together, nor with the records selected. So how did I notice this mix on Soundcloud? Not one parameter set up on my account would link it to this newly formed artist? Well, it's because of the first record he/she has selected. I have fallen in love with the intro track, which I heard in another mix. I wanted to find out if the track was somewhere on Soundcloud, and voila. It landed me on NOISSIER's page. I wasn't looking for this mix, but it landed on my path. So this mix is filled with Techno. That's all there is to know for now. Let's start with the tracklist! 01. Matthew Dekay - The Four Agreements (Martin Roth Beats Edit) 02. Fur Coat - Adagia (Upercent Remix) 03. Waltervelt - Magman (Original Mix) 04. Noissier - Signals 05. Noissier - ID 06. Marc Houle - No One Knows 07. Nox Vahn - Brainwasher (Extended Mix) 08. Jonas Friedlich - Jazzersizzzze (Shed Remix) 09. Avision - Innocence (Original Mix) 10. oneoneone - Jolt (Original Mix) 11. Sigward - Balmung Beam 12. Dance Spirit - Gateways (Colebrooke Remix) 13. Madben - Landscape Well, if you weren't aware of this new artist, don't worry: two of NOISSIER's records are in this mix, so you can get a taster of the capabilities of this DJ/producer. And if I'm honest: I did like the mix a lot. It's also a free download, so that's another added bonus. A wicked mix, and a free download. That's a good start. But it's not all about us being greedy, but more about the music. Is the music any good, or is it absolute shite? Well, NOISSIER has selected really awesome Techno anthems, and they all rock. And I'm not even kidding. I think the record that inspired me the most, has to be the intro. Never have I come across anything like this before. So extremely mellow, yet with a hidden message. If you actually listen to the spoken word, it might freak you out. Are we actually dreaming since the day we are born? So many questions raised, none the wiser. This record is a good opening record, for an outstanding mix. Nothing to complain about. A truly magnificent mix. I've really enjoyed it. You should do the same. I'm guessing we'll be hearing more from NOISSIER in the near future. Let's hope so. • The Sound Of: 100% Silk, Mixed By Cherushii (2015)

House is life. House is something I grew up with. From the late 80s until now, House has always been one of my favourite styles. It has given a generation music to dance to. The same that applies to Rock and Roll, Jazz, Ska, and more. House is as part of our musical legacy as any other well know and much appreciated styles. But seeing as House has been around for nearly as long as I'm alive, there are plenty of artists and labels out there. Too many to follow, and sometimes you do miss the odd label here and there. This applies to 100% Silk. I've never heard or seen this label before, but I found this mix, uploaded by DJ Mag, on Soundcloud, and got hooked immediately. I saw this mix, heard it, and was in love from the first second. Still not sure who or what's behind this label, I just delved straight into this specially made mix. It is a full-on House music mix, and there's one record in this mix so good, it won't let you go. You'll find out later in this review, but for now, let's focus on the actual mix. It's nice and mellow. Just what you need to hear, after a hard day of work. Wherever that might be: on the 'front' line, or at home. Or just chilling, because of you being furloughed, chilling at home (as much as you can). I've done a lot today, and want to relax, especially with the long weekend ahead. So I think I might have found the perfect mix to accompany us all during this 4 day weekend! 01. Auscultation - Vanda 02. Jupiter Jax - Simple Pleasures 03. Cherushii - Nightsteps 04. James Booth - Flora 05. Cosby - Warehouse Fantasy Club 06. Alex Burkat - Tarot 07. Luca Lozano - The Fox 08. Lunate - Pawn Shop Romance 09. Pharaohs - Replicant Moods 10. Paradise 100 - Incroyablement Prop 11. Magic Touch - Passion 12. Octo Octa - I'm Trying 13. Shams - Piano Cloud 14. Fort Romeau - Jack Rollin 15. Maria Minerva - Black Magick (Lady Blacktronika's Garage Trip Mix) 16. Bobby Browser - Clubspinning 17. Roche - Stillhope A full on unknown tracklist to me. Never seen any of these artists before, or ever heard any of these records before. But who really cares? You sometimes need to delve into the abyss, and just witness whatever is thrown at you. That's what I've done today, and it has made me a happier person. Everything music relates makes me happy in general, but during COVID-19, Soundcloud and Mixcloud are the two places that make me the happiest. Can we just all agree that Octa Octa's 'I'm Trying' is such a gorgeous anthem? I've kept playing this record over and over again. This has got the most House vibes, crammed into one record. This repetitive record takes me back to the 90s. This record is full of mid 90s House vibes. Genuinely awesome record. And is this record using Amelia's vocals? Or Amelie? However you spell you, you know who I'm talking. All in all, a splendid mix. I've loved it from the first to the last second. And it has increased my love for House. This mix has also given me the opportunity to explore new labels, and surely 100% Silk will be on my search list this weekend. If they have made/released similar records after 2015, I am going to be a happier man. I've really enjoyed this 5 year 'old' mix. Maybe the DJ Mag should go through their 'hidden' and forgotten collection of mixes, and reupload more and more of these? Especially now the whole world is in lockdown? Fantastic mix. Credit to the DJ who made this, and the label for releasing these awesome records! • SPRING HARDCORE 2020 MIX

Lil Texas is back! A brand new mix was uploaded onto Soundcloud 2 days ago, and already it received thousands of plays, and people are going mad, literally mad. Am I one of those people? Well, the name of this blog contains 'crazy', so yes. I like music to be as versatile as it can be, and on certain days I would like my music to be 'normal', and on certain days it want it to be fucked up as much as possible. It's Sunday, time to relax, and to put your silly hat on. If you want, you can put a hat on, similar to the one that Lil Texas wears, and go ape. Literally go ape. Why not? As you can expect from previous reviews/mixes, this mix is filled with the hardest records out there, and crammed into an hour-ish long mix. Crammed together, and mixed at this unbelievable pace. You get so many records in this mix, you won't even know you are already 20 records in. Time becomes irrelevant. But isn't that Lil Texas' game? To fuck everyone up? Whatever his goal is, he's achieving at least something. Within a short period of time he's risen to the top of the scene, and he has established his name as one that you do not fuck with. Credits to Lil Texas for doing that. So what is you get in this 51 minute long mix? 48 hard as nails records. Ranging from Rawstyle to Hardcore. Everything is in here for you to lose yourself. The lockdown has got us all inside our houses, like caged animals. So let's behave like animals. Go mad, right now! But before you do, make sure you like TCD on Facebook. After that, I couldn't care less if you start throwing faeces around. 01. Sickmode - Hey x 02. Thyron & Luminite feat MC Focus - Rise Of The Underground (Official 10 Years Of Gearbox Anthem) 03. Riot Shift - Laser Beams 04. Luminite & Sins of Insanity - Hit 'Em 05. D-Sturb & Warface - Imma OG 06. Krowdexx - Pu$h 07. Lil Texas - ID 08. Yellow Claw, Radical Redemption & Lil Texas - Beat Your Mother 09. Sickmode - L4MBO 10. Unkind - I Go Hard 11. Malice - Stronger 12. Luminite - Power & Truth 13. Hypix - Psycho 14. Thorax - The Reckoning 15. Psycho Boys Club - Full Speed 16. Stereotype - Freak Show 17. The Satan - You Are Sick 18. Stereotype - Layers Of The Soul 19. Andy The Core & Nightshift - That's Hardcore 20. Odium & Gridkiller - The Curse 21. Anime - Rock This Place 22. Detest - 1 2 3 (Original Mix) 23. Tha Playah & Angerfist - The Heartless 24. Re-Style feat Cammie Robinson - One Last Dance 25. Promo - Serious Danger (Dither Remix) 26. Furyan - Bass Journey 27. Killshot & N-Vitral feat Disarray - Raise Hell 28. Anime - A-Bomb 2019 29. Dither - Hunt You Down 30. Never Surrender - We Shall Never Surrender 31. Lil Texas - ID 32. Water Spirit - Aries 33. Lil Texas - ID 34. Vandal!sm - Gangbang (Trespassed Remix) 35. Soulblast - The Process 36. Barber & Frenchfaces - The Cook 2.0 37. Lil Texas - ID 38. Crime Scene feat MC Instinct - Underground Killer 39. The Dark Horror - What's My Name 40. Soulblast - Serial Killer 47. Lil Texas - ID 48. Drastic & Angerkill - Blasters The mix starts off slow, and towards the end the BPMs go through the roof. The tension builds towards this climactic ending. It feels like having sexual intercourse. The last record is a finalisation of 4 minutes of raw sex, and orgasms happening. You have done your deed, now light a cigarette and chill the fuck out (kids, do not smoke, smoking is bad for you, remember). This mix has you moving from the first to the last second, and it goes through several styles: from Rawstyle to Hardcore, from Uptempo to Terror. You get everything. But everything hard, nothing soft is being played here. Lil Texas does not take any prisoners, and has you locked from second 1 to the last. Lil Texas' mission is to get you moving, and he has succeeded doing just that. But, is it fucked up, this mix? Yes, it certainly is. The quick mixing, the records, everything is messed up a lot. This is not for the faint hearted, only for the true harder styles fanatic. There are so many bad ass anthems in here, but the one that gets me going the most has got to be Malice's 'Stronger'. Wicked vocals, awesome drop. Obviously an insane mix. You wouldn't expect anything else from this DJ. Lil Texas has done it again. He's messing with us. This mix is as fucked up as you could imagine. And it's also a free download. Sadly I do not have Spotify (like the only one on this Earth), but if you do, it's all for free! • Millennium Mayhem - Mixed By Radiate (2020)

I am on a roll today! Not just because I'm feeling okay, and the sun is shining, but also the fact that I'm reviewing the fuck out of everything I can find on Soundcloud. And now it's time for a Millennium Hardcore mix by a DJ, who I've not reviewed in years: DJ Radiate! I did listen to a few mixes by him over the years, but they never came with a tracklist, so I couldn't review them. This one HAS got a tracklist, so happy days, eh? And it contains Millennium Hardcore, my favourite kind of Hardcore. Who needs anything else right now? Fuck COVID-19, mankind will survive (only if we get good music on a continuous stream, otherwise we will loose the plot). I've already checked this mix several times, and it has made me a happy person. Radiate has played the big anthems. And I do mean the big anthems. Those that will get you going on the dancefloor. Which is obviously now not an option, but you can turn your living room into a rave domain? They are all well known anthems, and carefully mixed by Radiate. And it's also a free download, so why not enjoy your Saturday? Ps. I've just been shopping in between, and it was an absolute nightmare. I had to calm down when I walked into the living room, so I turned this bad boy back on again. Speakers are shaking, the floor is trembling: life is great. Here's the tracklist. Woop Woop! 01. Outblast - Communication 02. E-Man - Bass Machine 03. 50% Of The Dreamteam feat The Prophet & DJ Buzz Fuzz - Open Sesame! 04. System 3 - Like A Shot 05. Korsakoff - Separated World 06. Art Of Fighters - Under Construction 07. Promo - Emotions Over Anger 08. The Masochist - Anticipation 09. Rave Creator & The Mover - Atmos-Fear 10. DJ Sim - Simbiosis 11. Catscan - WO3 12. Pilldriver - Apocalypse Never 13. EBE Company - Sub Seven (Catscan Remix) 14. Meagashira - Prozac Attack 15. Promo - Dancefloor Hardcore 16. The Masochist - Killing Scum (Promo Remix) 17. Menace II Society - Chronic Disorder 18. Tommyknocker & Sunbeam - Twisted World 19. Outblast - Masters Symphony A proper Millennium Hardcore mix. And he's selected the well known anthems indeed. This is 65 minutes of pure Heaven. I've got to say that I've been hooked to this mix since the first time I heard it. This was exactly what I was looking for. Something to calm me down. Yeah, I know that sounds weird, but in my head it makes sense. Chilling as it might not seem to be, it does work for me. I'm sitting here, mellowed out of my skull, thinking about how good the music was around the Millennium. Of course I had to select DJ Sim's record as my favourite. You know it makes sense. The bass is just tremendous. You need to hear this at a festival, coming at you from the thousands of speakers surrounding you. You won't know what hit you. A wicked mix by DJ Radiate. The classics were selected, and with only a few small mixing errors, it was a highly enjoyable 65 minutes. I need to experience it more often. • Bryan Kearney - From The Archives 001 (Decadance Mix 2010)

It's Saturday, and it doesn't even feel like a Saturday. Another day in isolation. Well, not me, but you know what I'm saying. We all have to stay indoors, and keep everyone safe and sound. So doing your part is essential. Stay indoors, and crank up the volume to the max, because today I've got a wicked mix for you all to hear. A mix with wicked Tech/Techno anthems. One I wasn't even ready for. Bryan Kearney uploaded this brand spanking new mix (well, not really though)...well, let me rephrase that: he reuploaded an old mix from 2010, and with it, he starts this new mix series called 'From The Archives'. Seeing as we all got a bit of extra time on our hands, and Bryan too, he thought he could go through his collection of mixes, and reupload them bit by bit. Good idea though: how many mixes have been 'lost' forever? Time to start putting mixes back up, everyone! The mix you are about to listen to, is packed with so many wicked anthems. And I do mean a lot of wicked anthems. I had a quick look at the tracklist before I pressed play, and I did feel something tingling in my downstairs department. Why is that, you might ask? Well, it's because the tracks selected by mr Kearney are f**king epic! A lot of Mauro Picotto, and who doesn't like a bit of Mauro, eh? And there's a special reason for Bryan making this mix: these records have been imported to him, music wise. And not only to him, but also to me. These records came out during a time when I moved away from Hardcore due it's inevitable demise. So obviously you land into this majestic world. I've got a lot of fond memories when I think of it. So his mix is already a banger, without even having pressed play. Let me show you the awesome tracklist. If anything happens in your downstairs area, I do apologise. 01. Mauro Picotto - Hong Kong 02. Tomaz vs Filterheads - Sunshine 03. Gabry Fasano - Catapulta 04. Mario Piu - Mathmos 05. Marco Zaffarano - Playback (Mauro Picotto Remix) 06. Megamind - Taub? (Picotto Mix) 07. Mauro Picotto - Verdi 08. Mauro Picotto - Bangkok 09. Mauro Picotto & Riccardo Ferri - The Alchemist 10. Faithless - We Come One (Dave Clarke Remix) 11. Mauro Picotto - Baguette 12. Mauro Picotto - Back To Cali (Megavoices Remix) 13. Bismark - Primitive Love (Train Mix) 14. Simon Foy - Inside Out (Simon Foy Remix) 15. Mauro Picotto - Like This Like That (Tea Mix) 16. Bismark - Just A Moment (Clubby Mix) 17. Gabry Fasano - Sector .30 (Sector Mix) 18. Megamind - Krach (Picotto Mix) 19. Kai Tracid - Destiny's Path (Warmduscher Mix) 20. Karin Di Ponti - Hypnobounce (Jasmin Mix) 21. Joy Kitikonti - JoyDontStop (Freaky Mix) 22. Mauro Picotto & Riccardo Ferri - New Time New Place 23. Lava - Autum (Megamind Mix) 24. Megamind - Sturm & Drang (Pulsar Mix) 25. Ricky Effe - Sonus Terrarum (Primus Mix) 26. Joy Kitikonti - JoyEnergizer (Mauro Picotto Personal Mix) 27. Midfield General - Coatnoise (Dave Clarke Remix) 28. DJ Pure - My Definition 29. S.H.O.K.K - Folie A Deux (Original Mix) 30. Mark Dawn - Expander (Flutlicht Remix) 31. Tillmann Uhrmacher - On The Run (Ocean To Shore Club Mix) See, you thought I was lying, eh? I can picture you sitting there, a bit embarrassed due to something tingling, causing this weird feeling. But I was right. This mix is excellent. The records are excellent. Bryan, you've done it: the ultimate Saturday mix. The weather is looking good, and I'm guessing that we all have a bunch of speakers, so let's turn up the volume, and enjoy what Bryan has made 10 years ago. This mix should actually be called 'the Mauro Picotto' appreciation mix, because Bryan used a shit ton of his records. But truth be told: during the Millennium he dominated everything. Not only the Techno scene, but also the top 40 all around the globe. But yeah, it's an obvious choice to use Mauro Picotto anthems in this hour-ish long mix. I've got only love for this mix. Pure, and unadulterated love. A wicked mix, flawless, and also a free download. So what else are you looking for? I normally pick one favourite, but with this one I couldn't. They are ALL wicked anthems, all 31 of them. If you disagree, please leave a comment underneath, and explain why you are a doofus. Get this mix right now, and embrace the love for the early Tech sound! • Aphex Twin Obscurities Mix Part II (02/04/2020)

Forgive me, I do not know a lot about Aphex Twin. I know that many people love or hate him. And I only know him from his world famous 'Windowlicker'. I bought the single, and still to this day the record makes me do things I've never done before. It's weird, it's quirky, and the video clip was so unique and different at the time: when it was released, I remember the whole world was talking about it. Talk of the town. Weird. And I do remember reading about Aphex Twin and how 'weird' he is. But truth be told, I know nothing about him. It seems that only 'Windowlicker' appealed to me, and nothing else. Selectabwoy to the rescue. He is about to educate me, teach me the learnings of Aphex Twin. And I've got a lot to learn. His latest mix contains only records by Aphex Twin. According to the mix info, it's not as obscure as the previous mix he made, but listen to me if I say that this mix is kind of obscure. Can't imagine anything being more obscure than this. Super dark, edgy, and underground. And it's a mix that takes you on a journey. The wonderful inside of Aphex Twin. The inside of his mind. This is what I was expecting. A fucked up mix. One that doesn't make any sense, and yet for dance lovers a must listen to mix. This hour long mix is just what you need to hear. It's got everything. And again, this is dark. Emotions galore! You will feel all kinds of feelings throughout this mix. So check it out, here's the tracklist: 01. AFX - Bit 02. AFX - Knievel 03. AFX - Lecce-Voltage Controlled Acoustic 04. AFX - SAW II un road shimmer 05. Q-Chastic - Cat002 06. AFX - Kids Beach 07. AFX - Cat00897-Aa1 08. Aphex Twin - Flaphead 09. Polygon Window - Quoth (Hidden Mix) 10. Aphex Twin - Ventolin (Probus Mix) 11. Caustic Window - Italic Eyeball 12. AFX - .215061 13. Polygon Window - UTI-Dot 14. Aphex Twin - Come To Daddy (Little Lord Faulteroy Mix) 15. AFX - Sloth 16. Aphex Twin - Grey Stripe 17. AFX - .38 18. Aphex Twin - Meltphace 6 19. AFX - Trojan.KILLAV.E 20. Caustic Window - Afx 114 21. Aphex Twin - Phlange Phace 22. Universal Indicator - Green - 03 (Untitled) 23. Aphex Twin - Wax The Nip 24. Aphex Twin - White Blur II 25. Caustic Window - Clayhill Dub 26. AFX - Analogue Bubblebath 3 - CD Only Track 1 27. Aphex Twin - Matchsticks I was expecting something quirky. Like extra dimensional. Something made in another universe, by some weird ass creature. A creature tied to a chain, being whipped by the alien species that controls it, whilst devouring organs from a cut-in-half human being with 24 testicles. And of course it has the face of Aphex Twin. But nothing like that, nothing that messed up. At certain times it was even soothing to listen to this mix. Calm and relaxed. The focus of this mix is Techno, but it sometimes goes into different territories, like Acid, which makes this mix even more interesting. My perspective on Aphex Twin has slightly changed. But, and I must say this, I have not listened to Selectabwoy's first mix. I'm guessing it's darker and edgier, so I might change my perspective on Aphex Twin in the near future. But for now, I'm liking the stuff Selectabwoy has selected for this mix. The flow is continuous and soothing. A real pleasure to my ears. Of course he had to go full ballistic at one stage, so around the 39 minute mark all hell breaks loose. And I get early Prodigy vibes. That Breakbeat sound I adore. Am I weird in saying that I hear Hardcore Techno influences in Aphex's music? Best of the best has to be the record that starts around 53 minutes. After 53 minutes of pure intensity you are treated to an outer space experience. And the only thing you can do is to sit back, close your eyes, and let the sounds take your soul into this new dimension. I don't know what it is, but I felt a bit haunted, like something dark was about to happen. I picture this music being played when the end of the world is about to happen. Fuck me, this is emotional. A wicked mix. Not what I was expecting. Or was it? I don't know, and we shouldn't really care. It's a banging mix. That's all that matters. I feel at ease now. I can dream peacefully. • GLOWKiD presents The Generation X Crew (2020)

Unless you have been living underneath a rock, you are probably aware of GLOWKiD's latest album. If not, don't you worry my son, TCD has got you covered. In case I need to introduce you into the wonderful world of GLOWKiD and his wicked website (click here if you want to visit it, and I urge you to do so), let me just say a few words about him: he's from Greece, and he loves music, especially NuSkool Hardcore. His website is the dopest website on God's given Earth. Much more professional, compared to mine. But he puts a lot of effort into it, if truth be told. He's got his own blog, his own video show, and dope interviews. And now his wicked album. How does he manage to find the time? The man behind the glasses, he's well known. He's in contact with the whole music world. And his page gets a lot of visitors every month. So to give the viewers something else, he made this album. Well, not just him, but also a few of his producing friends. The result is an album, with records by a wide variety of artists, from all over the world. That's the beauty behind projects like this one: music unites everyone. Especially nowadays, during the crisis we are all facing. We need something to keep us united. And this album could be the right tool to unite the raving community. I am not 100% sure, mainly because I'm lazy, but the actual album was limited, so there could be a few copies left. But today (Friday) this album will be available digitally. And I am urging you to give this album a go. Underneath this review there will be a Soundcloud player, if you want a teaser, a taste of what to expect on this album. But now, the tracklist! 01. GLOWKiD - Intro 02. Orestiz - Sucks 2B You 03. Damage Inc. - Sorry Riddim 04. Nefti - U Turn Me On 05. Insane & Mind - The Way 06. Amaretto - Building Shake 07. Monks & Mort - Wonderfull 08. TNO Project - Inside Ma Head 09. Spiral S - Rave 4 Life (Pressure Euphoria Mix) 10. Yudaidhun - Bring It Back To The Heaven 11. Schnez - Ricochet 12. Beats Are Broken - The Dreamer 13. Amiga Breaks - Get Busy 14. Nefti - Music Takes Me Higher (Vitality Remix) 15. Paul Cronin feat GLOWKiD - The Ardcore Crew If you are into Breakbeat/NuSkool Hardcore, you will feel like you have gone to paradise. The main reason why I also love this music a lot (but not as much as GLOWKiD) is the fact that it keeps the oldskool sound alive. Even though it's called NuSkool, it still remains focussed on the early sound, the early to mid 90s sound, and with this album GLOWKiD has captured the atmosphere correctly, and you can feel those wicked vibes throughout the album. First of all, credits to all the producers. Well talented producers. Gifted to keep the early sound alive. Praise for that. And secondly, credits to the man behind this project, for getting these artists together, for this wicked album. I genuinely had goosebumps when I pressed play. And I have actually danced like a monkey on acid in my living room. Normally I wouldn't do that, but seeing as there's literally no one on the street anymore, there's no one to judge me. So f*** it. From Drum and Bass sounding records, to Happy Hardcore vibes, to Breakbeat piano sections, to rave in its entirety. This album isn't just a standard album, focussed on one specific sound, this is an album dedicated to the raving generation, the lost generation, a.k.a. Generation X. We might have aged, but deep down inside we still keep the raving fire burning. The one record that grabbed my attention, because it had everything I was looking for, was 'Building Shake' by Amaretto. I thought that this was a drink, but clearly I was wrong. The vibes, the piano section, it just works beautifully. Simply the best record on this album. I do appreciate people like GLOWKiD who keep the community alive and kicking. With this album he has created a new surface for next generation artists to work on. The concrete has been laid, now others need to build on it. So let this album spark something within us all. Be inspired. Be as inspiring as GLOWKiD, my Greek friend, and music lover. No negative feedback to give. This album is just so damn good. • M@rt!n-J - 00's UK Hardcore (2020)

We are all still inside, bored stiff. Unless you are me, and you are extremely busy. Searching the world wide internet for music. And sometimes, and I have to underline the word sometimes, you don't even need to do anything! You can just sit on your big ass, and wait. Someone will always throw music at you. Like M@rt!n-J did the other day. He kindly informed me about yet another mix on his Soundcloud page. Guess which kind of music it's focussed on? Yep, UK Hardcore. He keeps on making excellent mixes, and during this COVID-19 period, it's not going to be any different. This time his focus is on the Millennium UK Hardcore. You know the kind of music: the best there is/was. In this mix he has selected the finest records from 2000-ish, and the result is an stunning mix. I am talking the big guns. He got the big guns out. Seriously impressive tracklist, I do have to say. So before we continue and talk utter bollocks and how great the music was back then, we should show you the tracklist first. It's a stunner, this tracklist. Some of these I've not heard in years. Underrated. Why does time fly by too damn quickly? 01. Weaver - Falling In (Hixxy Remix) 02. UFO & MC Marley - Connections 03. Goes - Dig It 04. Lukozade - Progression 05. Al Storm & Euphony feat Danielle - Breathe 06. Breeze & Styles - The Beat Kicks 07. Uplift - Midnight Resistance 08. Scott Brown - Hardcore Hustler 09. Plus System - Blue Anthem (Remix) 10. UFO - Punk Access 11. Breeze & Styles - Black Magic, Bad Magic (VIP Mix) 12. Breeze & UFO - Take Your Time 13. Hixxy - Only Time (Uplift & Stargazer Remix) 14. Scott Brown - Gang Bang Society 15. UFO - A New Years Day What a sick looking tracklist. This has given me goosebumps. When I talk about UK Hardcore, THIS is the kind I'm referring to. The Millennium sound. Gosh, nothing made nowadays can come close. M@rt!n-J, your mix is sick. Truly sick. I've really enjoyed this, and the passion for the early Millennium sound has risen again. God, the Millennium is 20 years ago. These tracks still sound dope, and fucking fresh. Got to give the DJ the credit for selecting these anthems. Of course he had to add a few well known anthems in here, but also a few forgotten classics. And the one I had never heard before, is the one I fell in love with completely! You have to remember that when I discovered this, I was still living in the Netherlands, and was the only one who would really appreciated it. I felt special. Unique. Different. And I couldn't care less. Seriously, what a good mix. It's has a few small errors, but nothing major. Impressive. The best record? Well, 'Only Time'. I get early Freeform vibes when I hear this record. Pure slammer. Why don't I hear this more often? Bring back the early sound, and do it right NOW! It's also a free download, so go mad! • Dash Berlin - Vinyl Mix II - March 2020

I remember the last time I reviewed a Dash Berlin set: it blew my website into smithereens. The amount of visitors were tremendous, especially for this hobbyist's website. Dash Berlin was so kind to retweet the message, and I received tons of great feedback. After that he used his Jeffrey Sutorius alias, and I reviewed a mix, and now he's back behind the wheel of the brand Dash Berlin. I am not going to talk about this whole debacle, I am going to focus on the mix (like we should always do, keep certain things private). And the music, well, is good. The mix is extremely fine. And as you can see from the title of this reviews, it's all vinyl Dash Berlin used. So these are classic anthems! And boy, did he use some fine anthems! He underlines it, by having 'Anthems' as his first record! And he was even so kind to play the forgotten gems. Don't worry: you don't get the cracking noise of the LP/vinyl. Clear and crisp sound coming through your speakers. So the tracklist. It's a must see. Especially when we've got nothing else happening at the moment, seeing as we have to stay in and watch TV. Why not listen to some excellent Trance anthems? You know it makes sense. 01. Filo and Peri feat Eric Lumiere - Anthem (Nic Chagall Mix) i 02. Maor Levi - Reflect 03. Dash Berlin with Cerf, Mitiska & Jaren - Man On The Run 04. Jurgen Vries - The Theme 05. Viframa - Cristalle (Katana feat DJ Precision Remix) 06. Signum - What Ya Got 4 Me 07. The Mystery - Mystery (Above & Beyond Mix) 08. Piet Blank & Jaspa Jones - Cream (Paul van Dyk Mix) 09. Survivors - Heaven 10. Future State - Now Is The Time 11. Dash Berlin feat Emma Hewitt - Waiting (Sean Tyas Remix) 12. Binary Finary - 2000 (JamX & DuMonde's Millennium Remix) This is an excellent mix. It's Sunday, and we all need to relax. Take our minds of this horrible COVID-19 disease. So why not chill with the finest Trance anthems, selected by Dash Berlin, and mixed together beautifully? I wouldn't say no to that option, if truth be told. And currently I am actually listening to this mix, so I am following my own designated path. I'm loving it. Some of these records I've completely forgotten about! No joke. I forgot how awesome Signum's anthem was, or 'The Theme'. Or 'Cream'. My God, when that tune came out, I was hooked on it. This mix contains everything you need to hear right now: some early Trance stuff, and some more recent. I've got no negative feedback regarding this mix. It's perfect, and beautiful. And the best record? Dash Berlin saved the best for last: '2000' by Binary Finary, remixed by JamX & DuMonde. Fucking epic anthem. Let Dash Berlin take you on a journey this Sunday. • DJ Thera - Hit You With That Oldskool - Mixtape 3 (2020)

DJ Thera is back with a new mixtape. This time it's his third mix for his already legendary Oldskool mixtape series. I've reviewed the second mix in this series, and now it's time for the third instalment. We are fully aware what this mix is about, but if you are not sure, this mix is all about the Early Hardstyle sound, from the early 2000s. The sound we all miss, and love with a passion. This is music that has shaped the present day Hard/Rawstyle scene, I do praise people for bringing back the early sound, from whatever style it is: be it Hardcore, Techno, Hardstyle, hell, even House music. But today the focus is Hardstyle, the early Hardstyle sound. And boy, is it packed with awesome tunes! I've forgotten most of them. I should have stayed true to the original sound, and still played those compilations over the years, but sadly they have been collecting dust. What this mix also shows me and makes me wonder, is what happened to most of these names? I've not seen a few over the last couple of years. Maybe I'm just not that much into social media, and should invest more time in exploring who's still active. Ah well, we've got the time now (thanks COVID-19). Here's the tracklist if you are interested: 01. Brennan & Heart presents Nightflow - Day Of Forever (Hard Mix) 02. DJ Hellraiser - The Outer Limits 03. Donkey Rollers - Thunderbeats 04. Atlantic Wave - The Creation (Giada Remix) 05. DJ Ricky T - Generation T (Hardstyle Mix) 06. JS Ten - Louder (JK Walker Remix) 07. Headliner - B.O.D.Y.P.U.M.P. (Showtek Remix) 08. DJ Tomcraft - Prozac (Tony H Yeah Remix) 09. Orion's Voice - Cockroaches (DJ Scot Project Remix) 10. Warmduscher feat Lamont Humphr - Hardcore Will Never Die (Derb Remix) 11. Dana - Back In Time 12. Sa.Vee.Oh - Nohacker.exe 13. Builder - Skyscraper (DJ Luna Antolini Hard Mix) 14. Kai Tracid - Destiny's Path (Warmduscher Remix) 15. Chiren - Equalize It 16. Jimmy The Sound - Modulo (Modulo One Vrs) 17. The Juvenile - Hardcore Sukkas 18. Walt - Let The Music Play 19. Origin Unknown - Red Planet (Misdome Remix) 20. Brennan & Heart - Disappearance 21. Overdrive - Listen To The Fat Bass 22. The Raiders - Disk Warrior (Disk Mix) 23. Ayumi Hamasaki - Trauma (Dumonde Remix) Wow. These are truly forgotten gems. Can't believe some haven't stood the test of time. This meaning that they do not appear in more mixes. They should deserve a bigger stage. Like when the early sound dominated the charts. Anyway, Thera's mix. It's awesome! Flawless. And packed with the tunes that we need to hear during the lockdown. So many great records by big names such as Kai Tracid, Warmduscher, Tomcraft, Donkey Rollers, etc. Thera's selection is truly inspiring. And I hope he continues making these mixes: they do bring a huge smile on my face. I'm not saying that I dislike the present day Hardstyle, but the early sound still beats the present day sound. Sorry guys and girls, but for that is the truth. Can't beat those original sounds. The best record? Pff, there were a few, but 'Modulo' has got to be the best. It just grabs your throat and holds onto you, and latches itself into your brain. This is a track which remains in your big skull for the rest of the day. Turn the volume right up, and also check the previous two mixes! Thera, thanks for these mixes so far, but don't stop: we need more! • Really Fast Trance - Mixed By Cyrax (2020)

It's Friday everyone, and today I was off. I was going bonkers outside! No, I wasn't one of those nutjobs who ignores the Government's lockdown: I was cutting the grass. How exciting this might sound, it was fulfilling. I was a happy Dutchman after doing this, but during this arduous and tedious project, I was listening to Cyrax's latest mix. So I hit two birds with one stone: I was getting a workout in the garden, and I was listening to awesome Freeform music. Well, we've got to make the best out of it, this COVID-19 shite. Truth be told, I am a huge fan of Cyrax. It's been a couple of years since I last saw him (I think it was in Bournemouth), but I've been following him for years. Not only him, but also his label 'Energy Field'. I just love his passion for Freeform. And his latest mix might have Trance in the title, but it's a bit misleading. It's Freeform. Yes, I know, it's a form of Trance, but still. I do get it though: more people should invest their precious time, and explore Freeform. And with this hour and a half long mix, he might be able to grab people's attention? The mix is jam packed with excellent anthems, from a wide variety of artists. You should definately not only check this mix out, but also check out the tracklist, as shown below: 01. Darren Styles - Universe 02. Transcend - Neural 03. Andy Dee - Solas An Lae 04. JD-KiD presents Jurgen Hill - A.T.B. 05. Voycey & Douglas - Surface Of The Sun 06. Finnbarr - Havin' It Larger 07. Andy Vilo - Azure (Andy Dee Remix) 08. Transcend - Touching The Infinite 09. Jamie Ritmen - 303 Freestyle 10. Andy Dee - Solas Na Gealai (Moonlight) 11. Styles & Breeze - Love Garden 12. Transcend - Exploration 13. ID - Reborn (Andy Dee Bootleg) 14. JD-KiD & Arun - Last Horizon 15. Transcend - The Simulation 16. Cube::Hard & Douglas - Codex (Darwin Remix) 17. A.B - Awaken 18. Ferry Corsten presents Gouryella - Surga (JD-KiD Remix) 19. Douglas - Send Me 20. Darren Hotchkiss - All Clears Over 21. JD-KiD & DJ Corr - Carinae 22. Finnbarr - Hidden In The Light (A.B & Cyrax Remix) I don't mind this tracklist at all. Pure Freeform filth. A bit old and a bit new. According to Cyrax this is super trancey, and he's not lying! It is indeed very trancey. Very much so. I do feel like I'm in another universe. Thanks Cyrax for giving me that feeling. I felt for a second like I was on the dancefloor with my hands way up in the air, and with my eyes closed. Heaven on Earth. I'm sitting here, in my living room, enjoying the mix. I am really pleased with this. Cyrax's mixes are always very exciting, and always lighten the mood. Cyrax, I love you. Don't know if he actually reads my reviews, but if he does, I just said I love you. It's true though. And now with the lockdown we will hopefully see more mixes like this one. It does contain a whole lot of excellent tunes. And the best one? Transcend's anthem of course, 'The Simulation'. What a beast of a track. The mix itself is good, small errors here and there, but that's not bad. The only thing that I have noticed is that the sound is a bit off from time to time. Kind of freaks my mind out: it feels like I'm on a swing, going backwards and forwards rapidly. All in all a very good mix by Cyrax. This man is a legend. A pure legend. And this should give all those young and inspiring deejays the opportunity to make mixes. We need Freeform to rise! • Music Productions Showcase Mixed By DJ Brady (2020)

It might seem to be boring to stay at home, but it certainly isn't boring whatsoever. People are becoming more lively on social media, and also on Soundcloud and Mixcloud you do find a lot more mixes than before. It seems that everyone has got the time now to compose mixes. The mix I am about to review was uploaded before the total meltdown.. erm, I mean lockdown, but I'm guessing we'll be seeing more mixes by Brady in the near future, like he's done before. This time, the mix is special. It's a music production showcase mix, filled with tracks by the man himself. I knew him mainly for making mixes that contained records by others, but Brady has been a busy bee, and his mix is jam packed with a lot of his stuff. So basically most of these anthems are new to me. I think , and I'm not exaggerating, I cannot recall hearing any of these before. Maybe I should have paid more attention, but hey ho, at least I hear them now. And he was ever so kind to tag me on Facebook, but I was one of the first to hear this mix when it was uploaded, way before he tagged me. But now it's time for me to show you all the tracklist. If you weren't expecting it (and that is kind of stupid, seeing as I already told you) that this mix is packed with his own stuff, you will be in for a shock. But here goes, the tracklist; 01. Pulse & Brady - Galaxy Rush (2010 Mix) 02. Riko vs Brady - Who Got The Power 03. Alex Bassjunkie & Brady - Exhale 04. Riko & Brady - Put Your Hands Together 05. And as you can see, it's him with a few fellow producers in this mix. Most of them were made alongside Powerstomp fanatic Riko. I knew that he had some kind of influence, seeing as the image used for this mix looked a bit similar to Riko's album covers. But it's all about the music, so let's delve straight into the music. I really loved the pace of this mix. And the vibes each records put out. I felt each records, and loved the fact that Brady has a thing for Powerstomp sounding records. This brings me to my next topic: best record. That's a no brainer, truth be told. 'Pur Your Hands Together'. What a slammer! Couldn't stop dancing from the first time I heard this anthem. Only love and respect for Brady's own production mix. Certain cross sections sound maybe a tad rushed, but he can mix 100 times better than me. So nothing really to be worried about. The good thing about this mix is also the fact that it's for free! You can download the fuck out of it, and share it with your mates! As much as you like! And it's got my seal of approval! Not that it means much, but hey ho, so what? • DJ Radium - Early Hardcore #1 ('91'92) - The Full Moon Sessions (2017)

Another day inside, another day in paradise. It's time for us all to go back in time, to a decade where we were still allowed to walk outside and rave: the 90s. Specifically, the early 90s. 1991 and 1992. And today's mix is made by a legend within the Hardcore scene: DJ Radium. This mix was made about 2 1/2 years ago, and it got praised by the listeners on Soundcloud. I found this by accident, so let's delve straight into this early 90s rave mix. This mix is about an hour long, and has got the most underrated records in Hardcore history in them. Yes, you hear some of them over and over, but the majority are underrated classics. They should have a cult following. This sound is so unique and fresh, even in 2020 it still sounds so cool, and not even outdated. This is what gave us Hardcore in 2020. Obviously not every record selected by Radium is a genuine masterpiece, but the majority are. The tracklist is missing a few records. If you are a die-hard early Hardcore fanatic, would you please be so kind to let us know which records they are, so we can fill in the empty gabs? 01. Crowd Control - Tranzformer (Frankfurt Mix) 02. Friends Of Alex - What Is...? Fick Dich 03. Private Productions - Looped 04. DJ Hooligan - Harder 'n Deeper 05. Crowd Control - Robots 06. MDMA - E-Shopping 07. ID - ID 08. Sperminator - No Woman Allowed (Men's Room Mix) 09. Desperation - Our Reservation 10. Test - Overdub (New Concept) 11. Edge Of Motion - Set Up 707 12. ID - ID 13. Euromasters - Amsterdam.....Waar Lech Dat Dan??? (Maastunnel Mix) 14. Mescalinum United - We Have Arrived 15. Sourcer Code - I'm Not A Number! 16. Ace The Space - Nine Is A Classic (Classic Strength Remix) 17. Rotterdamnation - We' Who Are Opressed 18. King Dale - Utter (Hardcore Powermix) 19. Alien Factory - Big Brother (Heavy Mix) 20. DX13 - Decimate Intensity 21. ID - ID 22. Disintegrator - Disintegrated 23. Vicious Delicious - Hocus Pocus (The Gabberianic Verses) 24. German Division - Concerto Grosso 25. Frantic Explosion - Boom! Bang! 26. Euromasters - Alles Naar De Klote (Rotterdam Mix) Look, when I say Early Hardcore, I mean this kind of music! Wow, Radium's mix is literally filled with Early Hardcore stuff. The roughest stuff out there. These anthems are nearly or are 30 years old. Just think about that. Think hard and deep about that. 30 years of Hardcore. I can't believe that it's been nearly 30 years ago since I was introduced into the wonderful world we know as Hardcore. Thanks to Radium's mix I am back in my bedroom, as a teenager, playing Hardcore on a multi deck music tower. Or whatever they used to be called. And everything on tapes. I wasn't that quick on jumping on the next hype that was called Compact Discs. Cassettes all the way. I can only give this legend credit for this excellent mix. It contains the roughest and toughest Early Hardcore anthems, and they are mixed together beautifully. No word of a lie, but I'm feeling the early vibes coming through the speakers. Fuck COVID-19. I will stay indoors and listen to Early Hardcore. Hell yeah. Oh yeah, you can download this mix for free, so that's another bonus! • Reverze Flashback 2020 - Mark With A K, Dark-E & Pat B

The whole world is in lockdown. We are forced to stay indoors, whilst the virus hopefully dies down quickly, and never comes back. The only thing we can do is scour the internet for music. And pornography. Well, truth be told, what if you live on your own? You need to maintain your strength. Anyway, or it's porn or it's music. I'd rather choose music. That keeps me going 24/7. And the set I'm about to present to you is a big one. A set by Pat B, Mark With A K, and Dark-E. Also includes MC Chucky, but his interaction is limited. I am sorry, didn't mean to cause any harm, but MCs are not required. Especially when you are doing a flashback set, full of awesome records. I am a fan of music, not chatting. And the set is filled with awesome classics. Seriously impressive stuff by Pat B, Mark With A K, and Dark-E. This 45 minute long set is jam packed with early Jumpstyle/Hardstyle anthems. I can talk for hours about each and every records selected by the three legends, but instead of that, let's just show you the tracklist. That will make your day, trust me. 01. Davoodi - Move Ya Ass 02. DJ Frank - Fuckin' Serious 03. Robert Armani - Hit Hard 04. Bam Bam - Bam's Workout 05. Major Lazer - Pon Di Floor (Bestien Bootleg) 06. Mark With A K - Oasis 07. Menace 2 Society - Chronic Disorder 59. ID - Forever Young 60. Dream Your Dream - Mayday Dream (Hardcore Edit) 60+ records in 45 minutes. No time to relax, no time to gasp for air. Mark With A K, Dark-E and Pat B are making sure that you won't stop dancing. The MC sadly does not add a single thing to this atmospheric set. Someone was complaining about the crowd going 'eeeh, ooooh', but I did like that. The crowd's interaction with the DJs is good. Not sure if this set is pre recorded: it's just too damn perfect. Not one tiny error can be found. Unless you have spotted one, and in that case, please let us know. But still, it's 45 minutes of epic anthems. There are too many great anthems in here. You all know I love the early Jumpstyle sound, and all three DJs have done their best to cram in as much as they could. I can narrow it down to a few records: 'Davoodi's 'Move Ya Ass'. 'Ixxel - Drop That Beat', and 'Teka B's Hit The Dancefloor'. I'll choose the last one as my favourite: the transition from 'Happy Together' into this record is flawless and literally grabs your attention. You were not prepared for this change whatsoever. No indication was provided that you would expect this to happen. Is it the best set ever? It's good, but it still can't top 2018's edition. Pat B and Ruthless dominated this event, and the set is still played over and over by yours truly. But don't let this bother you. Bring back the Jumpstyle and turn up the speakers. Fuck this social distancing and rave indoors! Woop woop, let's fucking go! • Drokz Cure For The Virus Mix (2020)

Opa Drokz is back with a brand spanking new mix, which he made for those that suffer from the bloody awful Covid-19 virus. Which is the whole darn world. And as we are all requested to stay indoors, the only thing we can do is to browse the world wide web, and find out that the majority on it, is actually rubbish. With a few exceptions though, like DJ Drokz's latest mix. And as you have guessed it, it is as hard as you can imagine it to be. Drokz does not do half measured mixes, he comes in your house, and blows your speakers the fuck up. No pussy stuff, only hard Hardcore. The mix contains only Drokz anthems, and I dig them all. Even the quirky stuff. But it's just Drokz, you know? He's just hard as nails, hard as fuck. I can never imagine hearing a boring or soft mix by this mighty legend. Drokz is just the supreme leader of the Terror. Not only the voice of our Hardcore generation, but the leader of everything hard. And a softie on the inside too, if you've seen the interviews, you will know what I'm talking about. If you want to raise your middle finger to COVID-19, do it in style. FUCK YOU COVID-19. Let's rave the disease out of us, and kill the virus with beats, basses, and melodies. 01. Drokz - Intro 02. Drokz - This Is Dedication 03. Drokz - This Track Is Slamming 04. Drokz - Stealin Yo Shit Part 005 05. Drokz - Demonstrate 06. Proactive HC - Definition Of Hard 07. Drokz - Just A Rebel 08. Drokz - Karma 09. Drokz - Phonking Like A OG 10. Drokz - Oh This Is So Hard VIP 11. Drokz - Wild For The Night 12. Drokz - Stamppot 13. Drokz - Laten We Dronken Worden 14. Drokz - Terrordrill 15. Drokz - The Vietnam War 16. Killer Kemal - Volg Je Moeder (Drokz Bootleg) 17. Drokz - Eyes Are Closed 18. Creatures Of The Occult - Fear VIP 19. Creatures Of The Occult - I'm Feeling Haunted 20. Drokz - Je Bent Toch Niet Doof 21. Drokz, Akira & I.E. Vatos Locos - La Familia De Terror That's a lot of Drokz. And if you are thinking ''this isn't normal anymore, I can't handle it''. Go fuck yourself. You ain't a terror head. You are a mellow head. Go somewhere else. NOW! Anyway, if you looked at the tracklist and thought I lied about it being a full on Drokz mix, you need a slap. Everyone knows Proactive HC and the Creatures Of The Occult are groups that contain Drokz, the legend he is. And even though I've not come across a Proactive HC track before, this unreleased anthem really pressed all my buttons. Wouldn't categorise this as Terror though, but more like a harder Gabber anthem. I do love the build up of this mix. It's only 40 minutes long, but I really appreciate what Drokz has done. It for all those sitting at home, bored stiff, waiting for the end of this apocalyptic nonsense. And during this, we need some good music. Hence this mix. And it's yet another awesome Drokz mix. Enough said, lets just enjoy the music. And raise our middle finger to COVID-19. Be proud, fellow terrorheads! • Frantic Freak - Golden Era 2 (Early Hardcore Mix) (2016)

It's Sunday morning, and we need something to wake us the fuck up. Early Hardcore would be a good suggestion, I presume? So voila, a mix you would really want to hear. Early Hardcore, the finest records from the 90s. Mixed by Frantic Freak, you have heard about him, right? If you haven't, maybe it's time for you now to start Googling him, and find out who he is. But for now, let's focus on his mix he made back in 2016, for the 10th edition of Decade. The line-up was good: Ruffneck, Bass-D, The Destroyer, Leviathan, Buzz Fuzz, Cixx vs Vinyl Junk, Arjuna, Sequence, Lenz, Skorp, Raymion, Iniga, and MC I See. Of course you cannot visit this event, unless you have harnessed the power of time travel, which I highly doubt. The only thing I would urge you to do, is to shut up, turn the volume up, and press play on this really awesome Early Hardcore mix. The good thing about this mix, is that Frantic Freak knows how to please the fans, and throws in the most well known anthems, and also a handful of underground, obscure anthems. So the result is a very good and entertaining mix. Here's the tracklist for you Early Hardcore craving people! 01. Diss Reaction - Jiieehaaaa 02. DJ Hixxy & Lady Trixxy - One Spliff 03. Party Animals - Used & Abused 04. Bruyaa & Ozonic - Welcome To Deathrow 05. Chosen Few - Name Of The DJ 06. DJ Buzz Fuzz - Destroyer 07. DJ Jappo & Lancinhouse - EXLXAXL 08. DJ Buzz Fuzz - The One Eyed Slut 09. Knightvision - Knight Of VIsions 10. Flamman & Abraxas - Drugs (Juggernaut Remix) 11. Bio-Forge - Turbulence 12. DJ Dave - Listen... 17. Manu Le Malin - Watch 'em All Drop 18. Stickhead & Don Demon - Demonhead A wicked tracklist. I told you that it was going to be a good mix, eh? And also that I already pointed out that Frantic Freak used both well known AND obscure anthems to compose this mix. Haven't heard 3 songs for at least a decade, even longer! The hour has flown by. Frantic's selection just takes me straight back to my childhood. Epic anthems, and they've stood the test of time. And I'm not being ridicilous: Early Hardcore events are hot! And people are craving these anthems more than anything else in life! Hardcore is life, remember that. I do love them all, these anthems. Even those that have been played over and over again. But which is my favourite? Well, you might not have expected it, but 'Welcome To Deathrow'. Heard it the first time on Thunderdome 96, and I fell in love. A wicked and dark anthem. Good choice, mr Frantic. A wonderful mix. This has made my day. Sunday? Check. Early Hardcore? Check. Speakers on max? Not yet..... but now... check. • Summer Gathering 2020 Bonus Mix - Mixed By Technikore x JTS

As the whole world is coming to a stand still due to the Covid-19 virus, we are all forced to stay indoors, and collect as much toilet paper, more than we even use in 1500 years. I normally wouldn't mind staying in, but what also happened is the fact that they've cancelled a lot of events, just as a precaution. Which is obviously bad, but understandable. So we are all going to sit indoors, and listen to whatever we can find on Sound/Mixcloud. And today I found a big mix. When I saw the title of this mix and it contained 'Summer Gathering 2020' and the page mentioned that it had already happened, I looked around bewildered. Summer, already happened? Well, in Australia it has. And on the 25th of January they had this wicked event. According to OneSeventy's page, this mix was given away for free as a bonus mix CD, and now they've decided to upload it, for the whole world to hear it. And as you would expect, it is mixed by OneSeventy's finest DJ duo, Technikore and JTS. Is it packed with UK Hardcore anthems? Well, yes, of course it packed. A lot of music made by Technikore and JTS, and also seriously insane dancefloor destroying anthems. It is time for you to see the tracklist: 01. Tweekacore x Technikore - Find The Spark 02. Stormerz - Be The One (Macks Wolf Remix) 03. Jakka B feat Addie Nicole - Chasing The Sun 04. Darren Styles, Gammer & Dougal - Party Don't Stop (Technikore Remix) 05. Technikore - All Night 06. Technikore & JTS - #YEET 07. Dougal - Shine On You 08. Technikore & Ravine - Freakz (Alex Kidd presents AK47 Remix) 09. JTS feat Katie J - The End 10. Macks Wolf - Hit 'Em Like This 11. Ben Nicky feat Chloe - Anywhere (Technikore Remix) 12. Dougal x Technikore x JTS - Two Hearts 13. Technikore - Think About You 14. Technikore & JTS - Worlds Collide (Game Remix) 15. Technikore & JTS - Dimensions 16. Weaver & BDN - Fists 17. Scott Brown, Technikore & JTS - Low End Theory 18. JTS - World Out There 19. Technikore, Firelite & JTS - Close To Me 20. Raiden feat Bright Lights - Heart Of Steel (Technikore x Suae 2020 Remix) 23. Hixxy - Sacrifice (Ben Defekt & Olly P Remix) This nearly hour long mix is just what you need to hear after you've opened your eyes and embraced the sunlight. And the Covid-19 too. Isolation can be a bitch, and to get everyone through it, let's just embrace what Technikore and JTS have done: a free mix! An hour long of EDMCore, also known as UK Hardcore. And I'm pleased to say that I really liked it. I think I need to dig deep to find a shit mix by both Technikore and JTS. But I cannot remember the last time I've given any of their mixes a bad score. They have always been on top, and never disappointed any of us UK Hardcore fanatics. And with their latest mix they showcase again why they are the best of the best, the finest UK Hardcore DJs/producers, in Australia. So many big anthems, but ' All Night' just stuck with me the longest. But there are a lot of records which were close to become my number 1. I do love the fact that vocalists are still used, and they made each and every track they were on much better. I just love vocals so much. Especially female vocals, they just give it a deeper meaning, a deeper feeling. A fantastic mix. Grab it while you can. Enjoy it. And if you are in Australia, enjoy the Summer. If you are anywhere else, enjoy the rain.... pffff DJs: Technikore & JTS Genre/Style: UK Hardcore, EDMCore, Happy Hardcore Mix Info: Summer Gathering 2020 Bonus Mix Length Mix: 00:56:30 Tracks: 23 (twenty-three) Download/Listen (via Soundcloud): LISTEN HERE File Size: unknown File Type: unknown Bitspeed: unknown More Information: OneSeventy - Soundcloud Page

  • Enzyme & Malice (aka Portal) Pure Hardcore Breaks Vol.1 Mix 2006

Let me be perfectly clear, I do love literally everything dance related. My broad interest spectrum is immense. And when you do come across a set which includes music you haven't heard in a while, it might makes you kind of exciting. Today is the day I rediscovered Hardcore Breaks. Does anyone remember Hardcore Breaks? I remember it being huge, and then it just disappeared? Does anyone know the story behind the rise and 'fall' of Hardcore Breaks? I remember Slipmatt and Bunter pushing it forward, but then nothing. Weird. How come I do not hear more of this? Anyway, the mix I came across on Soundcloud was all by accident. I was actually searching for Enzyme X, the Industrial Hardcore group, and I found this mix instead. Obvious the connection between the two is the name of the DJ in this mix: Enzyme. And of course Malice. Who also has a DJ that shares the same name: Malice. And this DJ makes Rawstyle. So all these names might come flying towards you, but truth be told, I know nothing about these two DJs. What I do know is that they made this Hardcore Breaks mix back in 2006. I think that we should show you the tracklist. Again, it does ring a bell, all this Hardcore Breaks, but besides that I know nothing much. I need to be educated again. More Hardcore Breaks for me. 01. Enzyme & Malice - Dance The Night Away 02. Nervous & Anxious - Dope Rider 03. Amnexiac - Dawn Of Rockets 04. Luna-C - Piano Progression (Malice Remix) 05. Running Man - Taking Me Higher 06. Junnki Munki - Extreme 07. Enzyme & Malice - Colonies 08. Austin - Crazy Club 09. Nervous & Anxious - Love Is In The Air 10. Malice - On & On 11. Portal - Deeper Underground 12. Xperience - Gonna Be Alright 13. Enzyme & Malice - In The Groove 14. Darkus - Jah Know 15. Enzyme - Bass Driver Does anyone know if these guys still 'exist'? I don't mean that they should be dead, but what I mean is, do they still make music? On Discogs the information goes a bit dead, and even their own website looks soooo old. Don't know when that was last updated. I do get early Myspace vibes though, and that's cool. Anyway, the mix. Yes, Hardcore Breaks. That's cool music. Well, what else is there to say? I do love this sound, and can appreciate what Enzyme and Malice have brought to the table. The mix is very, very tight, and I do love to hear their own approach to this sadly underrated sound. I've got only love for this mix. No negative feedback. I think this is one of those mixes you just need to check out. Download this also for free. • Gammer - I'm Old Now... WTF Happened? (2015)

I can't believe it! This album is nearly 5 years old! That's insane, it feels like I only purchased a year ago. But not 5 years ago. Bloody hell, time has flown by. But anyway, let's talk about this masterpiece, made by Gam Gam, back in 2015. I was a huge fan of Gammer when he was dominating the UK Hardcore scene. He's been on top of the charts since he came out into the scene, and gave us everything he had. And whatever he had, was pure gold. He was a tremendous influence to many, and has had multiple awards to back his success up. Obviously we all know that he moved into the EDM scene and has become this superstar DJ, playing at the dopest events, but I'm still feeling a bit sad. He made UK Hardcore extremely big. His back catalogue is impressive, and so was his quick mixing skills. But seeing as we live in a world where we should embrace people's happiness, I am happy for him to have made it. He can still look back at a wicked time in the UK Hardcore scene, and I've got the album that shows us all why he was one of the greatest. And probably stepped out of the scene just in time. Again, I've got no hate towards the man. Some literally hated him for moving forward, but I didn't. Honestly, I am happy for him. But I cannot get my head around the EDM sound. I'm still stuck in the golden years of UK Hardcore, and Gammer is still my super hero. Anyone who spreads hate, should know the word PLUR. The meaning behind it is impressive, so live by it. Anyway, Gammer was approached by Billy Bunter, and Billy had an idea: make a compilation. Not something new, if truth be told, but the compilation was going to focus on him solely. It's was going to be a full on Gammer CD, mixed by Gammer, and with Gammer's face on the cover. And it also included the most awesome title for a CD ever 'I'm Old Now, WTF Happened?'. That's Gammer for you. Quirky, yet honest. The album contains two discs. The first is Gammer's solo stuff (kinda), and the second contains collaborations, but most of them were with his best buddy Dougal. So what do you get? Two discs, 72 records, mixed in a way only Gammer can do it. And of those 72 records, I'm guessing 99% of them are dancefloor classics. So, the tracklist. Here it is: CD 1 - Solo Stuff (Kinda) 01. Gammer feat Cat Knight - A New Feeling 02. Gammer - Let It Go 03. Gammer - Back 2 Front 04. Eclipse - Things You Do (Gammer Remix) 05. Breeze & Styles - The Beat Kicks (Gammer Remix) 06. Gammer & Michael Scout - Bye Bye I have to disappoint you, if you are reading this an hope that this album is available anywhere. I've checked Music Monday's website, and cannot find it anymore. It was sold out. Only 500 copies were made, and I got one, signed and all by the mighty Gammer. Don't know if it's anywhere on any other outlets, but if not, you are reading a review of an album you cannot get anymore. I am sorry. The mixing is okay. Not as quick as certain other mixes he's done. Certain bits I would be a bit 'meh' about, but it's Gammer, he can do whatever he fancies. It still kept the entertainment level high up. And it's also the level of anticipation: everyone loves a bit of the oldskool Gammer sound. Oh, and let's not forget the Dougal sound. There was a treat on Happy Hardcore's website, regarding this and other albums Gammer released in a short period of time. Some weren't happy about it, but I couldn't care. Maybe it was his way of saying 'goodbye' to the scene, seeing as he was slowely going towards the EDM world? The album has a lot of wicked anthems. Some very shortly played, but that's Gammer for you. Too many wicked anthems, still able to pack a punch, years after their release date. Gammer's back catalogue is impressive, be it on his own, or with others. I have to say that he should be proud of any album he has worked on. And for the raving community, we should be proud of his impact. When Hardcore was big, he made it even bigger. And gave us a lot of excellent memories. Many dancefloor anthems were made by this legend. A good album. I really enjoyed it. Some mixing bits were a bit 'non-Gammer-ish'. But besides that a good album. Which you cannot get via Music Monday anymore. I am sorry for this very late review.... Ps. I only found out today twho was behind United In Dance! Never knew who was behind it. • Endemic Tribute Mixed By Aeon (2020)

As I said a few weeks ago, I would review the second mix in this 'tribute' series, made by both Aeon and Greg Peaks. One was focussed on Lost Soul, and the mix was genuinely amazing. Now, the second mix. Made by Aeon, and focussed on the group Endemic. Now I'm not an expert, but I'm not 100% sure who's behind this name? But what I do know that they are a Hard Trance/Freeform group. And their influence is yeast. Now you know. I don't know the ins- and outs, but I do know of their existence, and their impact on the Freeform scene. You are all fanatics, and you love their music, but what you didn't know, what their back catalogue. This Freeform collective have created many memorable anthems, and DJ Aeon decided to compose an hour and 40 minute long mix, full of Endemic tunes. If that doesn't give you a hard cock. You will really appreciate this mix. It's a good one. And before you start questioning if this mix is better than Greg Peaks' one, or visa versa: we do not give a shit. Two different DJs, two complete different freeform acts. But what they've got in common is Freeform. And it's all beautiful Freeform. So it's time now to check out the tracklist: 01. Endemic - I'm Not Gonna Hurt You 02. Endemic - Wet Dreams 03. Endemic - Pollys Pharmacy (Bootleg) 04. Endemic - Escape 05. Endemic - Double Helix 06. Endemic - Chaos Theory 07. Endemic - Lunar Energy 08. Endemic - Hurricane 09. RX, Jolea - My Serenity (Endemic Remix) 10. CLSM feat Stefan B - Free Your Mind (Endemic Remix) 11. Adele - Hometown (Endemic Remix) 12. Endemic - Investatron 3000 13. Endemic - Loki 14. Endemic - Chosen 15. Endemic - Xen 16. Eryk Orpheus - I'm The Daddy (Endemic Paternity Remix) 17. Lost Soul feat Dark Angel - Sacrifice (Endemic Remix) 18. Endemic - The Prophet 19. Endemic - Hurricane (Modulate Remix) 20. Endemic - Whispers 21. K-Complex - Atomic Orbital (Endemic Remix) 22. Douglas feat Rhona - FM22 (Endemic Remix) 23. Lost Soul vs Endemic - Voice Of The Eclipse 24. Substanced - Shadows Of Tomorrow (DAT Remix) I was highly entertained when I heard Greg's mix, but with Aeon's mix, I am equally entertained. The mix is a tad shorter, but within the hour and 40 minutes you will be in paradise. I wish I could share this with my friends, those that might be interested in this kind of music. Not boring fuck knobheads who only listen to pop music. Meh, maybe I need new friends? Freeform is awesome, and I bloody well know it. Whoever came up with this idea of a tribute mix series is a genius! We should have more people involved! There are so many great Freeform tribute mix opportunities to explore! We need more. Please give us more. Endemic is a truly underrated group of Freeform fanatics, and over the years they've given us amazing records. Aeon's mix is jam packed with wicked Endemic tunes, but which one was the best? 'Chosen'. Simple, don't need to explain why. Just listen to it and feel the vibes coming through your speakers. There's no errors to be found in this mix. Well, only 1 really tiny one, and it's that tiny, I can't even point out when or where it happened. But besides that, it's a wicked mix by Aeon. A fantastic tribute mix. Flawless, and sexy. But why is the size of this mix so humongous? • Enzyme X @ Ground Zero Festival 2007

This week my focus has been on Enzyme X. I do not know why, but I got this craving on Tuesday for some Enzyme X. You know, the Virus CD compilation. I didn't have the album on me, so I had to make due with whatever was online. And quickly I found a few Enzyme X things, and I'm guessing you will enjoy them too. Unless Industrial Hardcore ain't your thing, which makes me wonder: why are you here? The set you are about to listen to, was recorded at Ground Zero Festival back in 2007. Sadly I could not find a decent image of the flyer. So I had to make do with whatever Google had to offer. Anyway, as we all know, Enzyme X is a collective, and consists of multiple artists. It's not just one person or one group, a multi cultured and distinctive group, with a passion for Industrial Hardcore. And at that year's Ground Zero, it was Hamunaptra and Ruffneck who were playing the finest music for you. But yeah, that's not a hidden secret: the MC shouts it within the first 20 seconds lol. Anyway, the set. It's only 36 minutes long, but with 11 records, you know you are going to be amazed by both of these DJs. Darkness, here I come! 01. The Outside Agency & Mindustries - The Immobilizer 02. Enzyme X - Seconds From Disaster 03. Ophidian as Raziel - To Destroy What Is Broken 04. Ophidian - Lynched 05. Ophidian - Insects 06. Hamunaptra - Limytz 07. Knightvision - Apocalypse 08. Enzyme X - Dissonant Poetry 09. Enzyme X - Prankster 10. Nosferatu & Ophidian - Psychiatric Ass 11. Ruffneck & Ophidian - All The Way Down If you are looking for some mellowed out Hardcore, please look anywhere else. Not here. This 36 minute long set is rough as fuck. Of course. Didn't you expect anything else from Hamunaptra and Ruffneck? I haven't got all the Enzyme records, wish I did. But what I'm trying to say is that I keep finding/hearing new records every so often. And even in this set there are a few new ones. But they still keep the Enzyme sound alive and kicking. Can't believe these records are 13+ years old. They still sound so fresh, like they were made yesterday. The set is flawless. And it would be difficult under normal circumstances, but this set contains the best record coming out of the Industrial Hardcore scene: The Immobilizer'. What an absolute beast of a track! Even after so many years it has the power to demolish my braincells in a jiffy. A wonderful set. Credit to Enzyme X. Really enjoyed this trip down memory lane. I am certainly not the only one who appreciates this kind of music... • Thunderdome Live Presents Global Hardcore Nation (1997)

It's the year of our Lord, 1997, and a party happened, which caused a storm within the Hardcore community: Global Hardcore Nation. I remember reading about this event, in I assume the Thunder Magazine. And after the event, as usual, ID&T would release a disc or two, focussed on it. And how cool was it to hear what actually happened during this majestic night. This recording paved the way for me to go to Mysteryland the next year. I do believe that I purchased this album before I purchased Thunderdome '96 Live. This album holds a lot of good memories, and I do know each and every set on here. Like with most ID&T albums, I only need to look or think of an album cover, and I remember 90% of it. If you didn't know it by now: I was obsessed with this label during the 90s. It made my childhood even better! The line-up for this event is an oldskool raver's wettest dream. I am going to name each act, and you have to promise me you do not get aroused by it! 3 Steps Ahead, Count Negative, Dr. Macabre, Rotterdam Terror Corps, Boris Valeo, Buzz Fuzz, Dana, Darrien Kelly, Gizmo, Marc Arcadipane, PCP, Rob & MC Joe, Rob Gee, Weirdo, Drokz, The Ultimate MC. How's that for a line-up? The 2 disc compilation obviously didn't have full sets, only snippets of sets. And the tracklist itself is littered with errors. ID&T albums contained the most errors. I seriously don't know how that happened: they were the biggest label, and yet they fucked up on nearly each album they released. Who was in charge of composing the tracklists? Shame on the person.... Anyway, here's the tracklist. And underneath this review you will find two Soundcloud players: Magpie303 uploaded both sets there, for us all to enjoy! CD 1: DJ Rob & MC Joe 01. DJ Jappo & Lancinhouse - Exlxaxl 02. X-Factor - The Underground 03. DJ Paul & Teenage Warning - Brohymn (This One's For Gabbers) Boris Valeo 01. DJ Weirdo & Phil Omanski - Young Birds 03. DJ Mongoose - Rip Shit Up (DJ Isaac Remix) 04. Masters Of Ceremony - Hardcore To Da Bone (Masters Of Ceremony Dope Mix) This has tickled me yet again. It must have been at least 6 months since I last listened to this CD, and it still makes me feel something special inside. Not even a full year before I experienced the ID&T madness myself, and I still embrace it like it was yesterday. I cannot remember most of the sets I witnessed, but I certainly saw PCP live, and heard 3 Steps Ahead scream at the thousands of fans through his microphone. And saw Rob Gee too. So basically I witnessed most of the artists who played at Global Hardcore Nation, lol. This event was just too damn perfect. I remember reading about it, and especially the second Global Hardcore Nation. That got panned due to the fightings and bad sound system. Well, it was the 90s, so everything and anything would happen. The sets are just perfect. Some a bit better than the others. I really liked the first disc the most. The second one is good too, but does not compete with the first one. It still has wicked livesets on there, but it's a bit meh. The set that kind of ruined it for me, was Rob Gee, and even Marshall Masters' set. The MC was maybe a bit drunk? He cannot even remember his own lyrics! He's off constantly. OK, now the hard part. Which record or set was the best? Well, from the second CD it was a no brainer: MC Drokz & Count Negative's set. Especially 'Lie & Die'. That song screams death and despair. So dark on many levels. It still makes me feel special. And Drokz's voice is just pinnacle to the Hardcore scene. The first dics contains a few wicked sets. Boris Valeo's set is super cool, Rob's set is awesome to start the disc with, but it's Darrien Kelly's set that just blew me away. Underappreciated, if I'm honest. The track that demolishes my braincells in 2020 has to be 'Hardcore M.F.' by Nasty Django. Fuck me sideways, this is pure Hardcore. A wicked CD, with ups and downs. And it had the so called 'last ever set' by DJ Weirdo. The last record of his set is a beast, and I remember seeing it somewhere on tape. It had the Critical Mass singer on it. A wicked record, but the set itself was a tad boring. The recordings itself were not the best, but it captured the night. You had to be there to be blown away by the BPMs coming through the speakers. Thanks Magpie303 for uploading them onto Soundcloud. I really needed to hear these sets again, especially in my car (which doesn't have a CD player). • SPYRO - Bangface Weekender 2020 Promo Mix

Spyro. He's a legend. The well known producer who likes to swear a lot in his videos is back with a brand new mix. This time focussing on his set at this year's Bangface weekender. For this event he made a promo mix, 35 minutes long, and containing the hottest tracks money can buy. And as you all know, Spyro likes to fuck with us. You've must heard at least a few Spyro tunes over the last couple of years: he's bringing the fire everywhere, and has gained a reputation of a bad boy. But is he really? Isn't he just a sweet guy underneath his facade? Nope, he's a bad ass. He doesn't take any prisoners. In this 35 minute long mix he captures you attention, makes sure that you are totally focussed on his mix, and once the beats and bass come through your speakers, he knows that you are his prisoner. He's captured you, and he won't let you go. And for once, I am happy with that kind of prospect. I do like Spyro's unusual approach to UK Hardcore music, or as I like to call his style, EDMCore. But whatever you call it, you know Spyro will bring the heat. So what can you expect in this 35 minute long mix? Fire, that's for sure. You won't be able to sit still once the beat kicks in, Here's the tracklist. 01. Spyro - Short Dick Man 02. Darren Styles - Pull Over 03. Spyro - Blow Ya Mind Dub 04. Spyro - Hands Up For Detroit 05. Spyro - Club Hoes 06. Spyro & Hartshorn - Bass Keeps Pumping 07. Juyen Sebulba & Lil Texas - Rush Hour 08. Jauz - Gassed Up (Spyro Flip) 09. Spyro & Dot.MAX - Pop That Pussy (Bait Booty Mix) 10. Gammer/Darren Styles/Dillon Francis/Eptic/G Eazy - The Drop vs Say Less (Spyro Mashup) 11. Spyro - Renegade Dub 12. Spyro & Joel Foster - Like A Bomb 13. Spyro - Love Comes Down 14. Spyro - Heads Will Roll 15. Kutksi & Komb - Frost & Fire 16. Spyro & Hartshorn - Keep Breakin' 17. Spyro - Outta Space 18. Ookay & Fox Stevenson - Lighhouse (Spyro Flip) 19. Spyro - Mad Ting Mashup See, I told you he would bring the fire! My GOD, this mix is lit. Is that how the kids say it nowadays? My generation would say 'cool' or 'wicked', lit wasn't even in our dictionary! But anyway, Spyro's mix for this upcoming gig at Bangface Weekender of this year is a big one. I love this reverse bass sound. It's different. Not something I listen to that often. But it's good. It's a kind of music that gets the people moving on the dancefloor. Not even dancefloors, but literally everywhere you can play this, and people start moving. I've really enjoyed this set. A wicked mix, 35 minutes of Spyro madness. I'm sitting here with a huge smile on my face, and a boner. This is such a sexy mix. The best record in this mix, that was difficult. But I chose 'Be Mine' by Barely Alive. Oldskool vibes from the first to the last second. Hope he brings the fire and has a wicked set at Bangface. But Spyro being a nut job (in a good way), he will certainly set the stage on fire, and blow up the fucking speakers! • Thumpa - Best Of Raver Baby 2002-3 (75 Mins) (2013)

I am back with a brand new mix. Well, it's not strictly new, but I've never came across this one in the 7 years it's been online. You've already figured it out what kind of mix it is, if you haven't read the title of this blog. You've seen the image, and know immediately that this mix is a Raver Baby dedication mix. How about that, eh? A nice tribute mix of a legendary label. Not sure what really happened to it, if it is still active of defunct, but what I do know is the fact that it has released tons of amazing records. Records still much respected by the raving community. The mix was made by DJ Thumpa, back in 2013(ish) and it's got some good reviews. People seem to still appreciate this label, and for good reasons. The label has had some amazing success, and Thumpa selected 16 records, and mixed them together beautifully. 72 minutes of Raver Baby madness, who doesn't like that? It will be a trip down memory lane. And I'm guessing you've got the time to do that: storm Jorge is about to destroy our infrastructure, so let's stay indoors, crank up the volume, and let Thumpa's mix take you, back 17-18 years in time. The best years of UK Hardcore! 01. Breeze & UFO - Take Your Time 02. Breeze & Styles - Future Set 03. Styles - Do You Feel The Same 04. Force & Styles - Follow Me (Styles & Breeze Remix) 05. UFO - Breaka 06. Dowster & Uprise - Steps Ahead 07. Breeze & Styles - Home (At Last) 08. Breeze & Styles - The Beat Kicks 09. Dougal & Gammer - Fires In The Sky 10. Dowster & Uprise - Through The Trees (Dowster & Gammer Remix) 11. UFO & MC Marley - Connections 12. Breeze & Styles - Sonic 13. Breeze & Styles - Electric 14. Breeze & Styles - Total XTC 15. Bo & Luke - Angel 16. Breeze & Styles - You're Shining Mixes like this one always makes me happier than I already am. It always contains records I've not heard in a long time. Or even ever! Thanks Thumpa, for giving me back my happiness. I'm sitting here, smile from ear to ear, and I'm really enjoying this trip back in time. Obviously Breeze and Styles have had a huge impact on the scene, and Thumpa's selection contains a ton of their records, but also a few made by others, like UFO, Dowster, Uprise, and more. This is the kind of UK Hardcore I fell in love with many years ago. Not a fan of the early sound (90s UK Hardcore). I would pick this sound (00s) over anything. It was so ground breakingly good. So different, just what the scene needed. This paved the way for a decade of happiness. We all fell in love with it, and it embraced us nicely. UK Hardcore became bigger and bigger, and even reached me across the pond. And Raver Baby records was one of the labels I really appreciated. Thumpa's mix is just tight. No complaints whatsoever. Oh, and it's also a free download! So that's an added bonus. Even after 7 years it still spreads love and happiness. Big mix. • Tommie Sunshine - #RaveRevival Mixtape Vol. 1 (2020)

Rave. If you are like me, you are obsessed with everything Rave related. Rave is life. Rave is everything, and I'm not even kidding. Raving was a brand new thing in the 90s, and now it's common, and shared by millions of people all over the globe. It is probably the biggest man made thing that got millions of people united, after religion. It is highly impressive that it's still alive, and kicking. But you need to differentiate the old and the new. They are two different worlds. But are they really different? According to Tommie Sunshine they are not. Well, maybe a tad, but his latest mix focusses on new music with the oldskool sound. Oldskool Rave made for the present day raving community. How about that? The old sound is making a huge comeback, and no one told me? Whatever, let us focus on Tommie Sunshine's mix. It's big. 2 hours and 38 minutes of Rave music. Rave with a twist, I might call it from now on. Tommie's mix contains new stuff with a twist, and I'm loving it. I'm obviously an oldskool lover, seeing as I review that kind of style on a weekly basis, but it's nice to see a younger generation embracing the old sound, and make it their own, without ruining it. And it's also nice to see the 'older' generation listening to it, and making excellent mixes full of those records. Does that mean Rave is timeless? Yes. Created in the 90s, still going strong in the 20s. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is highly impressive. Now let's focus on the tracklist. It's a long one, but so is this mix. The perfect mix to listen to on this dreadful Sunday. No need to leave the house: just sit indoors, and press play, with the volume way up. Chillax everyone. 01. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez - Introducing Senator Bernie Sanders 02. Maxy Cozy - Banana Baya 03. Yolanda Be Cool & Dillon Nathaniel - Tell Me Why 04. Solardo & Eli Brown - ID 05. Nathan Micay - Ecstacy Is On Maple Mountain I have to say that most of these artists are unknown to me. Like 95% of them. Which should not be the case. Why have I not invested more time in this, and done my research? I am a music lover, and a rave enthusiast! How have I missed this? I am so ashamed of myself, it's unbelievable. But it's enever too late to hallucinate, so let's delve straight into this mix. It's packed with the oldskool vibe, from the first to the last second. Obviously made to fit the present day raving community, but the vibes I'm getting reminds me of raving back in the good ol' days. I was too young around the start of the 90s, but I made up for it a few years later. This has been 2 1/2 hours of pure heaven. It's been years since I last reviewed a Tommie Sunshine mix, but this one really grabbed me from the first to the last second. I've enjoyed it so much, I immediately pressed play again. So many great anthems, and I have to give Tommie credit for making this mix so flawless, and for selecting all these monster anthems. Best record? Well, A*S*Y*S's 'The Acid'. Pure nostalgic feelings. Fuck me sideways, what a beast of a track. This song paints a picture in my mind: it's like the 90s and the 20s had sexual intercourse, and what came out of it, was this record. Tommie, thanks for making my Sunday better! Sadly I cannot download the mix, because I don't have Spotify, but if you do, you will have a wicked time, and can listen to this mix wherever you like! • Jason S - The Rebirth Of Hardcore (2014)

I've not been reviewing for nealy a week, did you miss me? Probably not, you had other things to focus on. But hey, at least I am back now, and had the time to find a few new mixes for me to review. One of the mixes I found, was an old mix by Jason S. You know him as the mix master, the megamix creator. Well, he didn't invent it, but he perfected it. But the mix I am reviewing today isn't a megamix, but just a 'normal' mix. You still hear him perfecting his craft. This mix was uploaded 6 years ago on Soundcloud, but you can see which direction he's taking his mixing skills to. It's funny to find these mixes. I am not passively looking for them, but Soundcloud reminds me of its existence. So thanks Soundcloud for reminding me of forgotten mixes. Basically, I was looking for new music, but came across this, and had to replay it again (I think I did listen to this before, like 2 years ago), but forgot about this mix. It's never too late to review, eh? The mix is filled with excellent tunes. Really excellent tunes. Some tunes I have not come across for a long time, and I do mean a long time. All focussed on the Masters of Hardcore sound from back in the days. And that sound, is truly astonishing. If I can go back in time, I would go to these years. The best years for Hardcore. Yes, the early stuff is great, but this sound is so unique and fresh, and it gave Hardcore a boost it truly deserved. So I'd rather listen to this for the rest of my life. Let me show you the tracklist. It's a beast of a mix. 01. Jason S - Intro: Giving Birth 02. Kid Morbid - Speed Cult 03. Angerfist - It Never Stops 04. Noize Suppressor & Endymion - Gangboy 05. Chaosphere vs Evil Activities - Back In The House 06. Knightvision & D'Spyre - Apocalypse (Nosferatu's VIP Mix) 07. Re-Style - Roos 08. DJ Promo - Messin' With Yo Mind 09. DJ Wicked & Nonasylum - Up Yours 10. E-Noid - Liquid Super D 11. Dione - Highway To Hell 12. The Alienator - The Invaders 13. Hard SL - Hardstyle Suckers 14. The Alienator - The Terminator 15. Dione - Rock The Place 16. The Stunned Guys - The Drummer And The Dancer 17. Masters Of Ceremony - Know Your Enemy 18. Neophyte vs The Viper - This Is Real Hardcore 19. Rotterdam Terror Corps - Fear The Sound 20. Tommyknocker - Demolition 21. DJ Paul - I Had To Kill A Lot Of People (Nosferatu Remix) 22. The Headbanger feat Ruffian & Alee - At Large 23. Dr. Z-Vago - The Bonebreaker 24. Weapon X - Whatz Yo' Name 25. Scott Brown - Ghosts 26. Sinergy - Dream Sweet 27. Parian & Mental Defective - Nasty Bitch 28. Neophyte feat MC Ruffian - Muil Houwe 29. DJ Lancinhouse & The Stunned Guys - Shout 30. Justice - Born To Raise Hell 31. The Stunned Guys - Slow Me Down 32. DJ Paul feat Firestone & Ruffian - Pogo Action! 33. Jason S - Outro: Hardstyle Festival Sick tracklist. Am I the only one who's feeling and missing this sound? This early MoH sound is so unique and fresh, and nothing like we are currently hearing in the Hardcore charts. It's more forcussed on the Frenchcore side, but I wish we could go back to these MoH sounds, that would make me a happier person. Jason S has made yet another wicked mix. This mix was made way before I was introduced into his megamix skilled world, but with this early mix he shows us that he was heading towards the megamix style we are all known with and love. A few specifically Jason S izms in this mix, and also included a shit ton of excellent anthems. Jason S, you've done it again. Epic mix, epic mixing skills. No world of a lie, but it's been another great mix. I've really enjoyed this trip down memory lane. And the title of the mix suits it well: this kind of sound was the definitive reason why Hardcore came back. The rebirth is thanks to labels such as MoH. No word of a lie. But it's also the raving community that made it come alive again. We could not live in a world without Hardcore. Imagine that!? That's insane. Sickening. Fantastic mix. Not downloadable, but still highly enjoyable. And Kid Morbid's track has to be the finest of the lot. • The Hardcore Years: 1995 (2020)

Only a couple of weeks ago I found this mix by DJ Virus, which was focussed on the wonderful year 1993. Now it's time to show you his latest mix, which focusses on 1995, and is more Happy Hardcore focussed. That is good. A bit of the oldskool on this Sunday morning. But the previous mix blew me away, due to the simple fact that it had so many records crammed into an hour long mix, and today's mix is no different: 115 records in a 61 minute long mix. How's that even possible? How can we distinguish each record, when they come at us through our speakers at ridicilous speed? Fuck, this is going to be interesting. Is it just my personal opinion, but was 1995 one of the best years for Happy Hardcore? 1995 and 1996, those were the years. Especially for the Dutch side of Happy Hardcore. It died in 1998, but hey, at least we got a few years of wicked music. The Dutch sound obviously did not sound anything like the UK Happy Hardcore, but had a lot of similarities. The Brits liked to put breakbeat sound in them, when we liked to put more gabber sounds in them. My focus went to the Dutch/European sounding Happy Hardcore. I lived in the Netherlands back then, so I missed out on a lot of other sounding Happy Hardcore anthems. But fear not: DJ Virus is here to re-educate me into the UK Happy Hardcore from 1995. So now it's time for you all to see the tracklist, and this is going to be painful: manually type the whole tracklist. Pff. Got to hand ME some credit for this.... 01. Fade - Break Thru 02. I've not done the mixing, or even composing this tracklist, but I feel knackered. So instead of me ranting on and on about this mix, I'm going to sit down and relax. Enjoy these 115 records. Even though I cannot hear each and every track. It's just too damn fast. DJ Virus' mix is just too dope. And I love the fact that he's included a few Dutch Happy Hardcore anthems, be it only for a few seconds. But he made this mix sound so good. I wonder how he mixes these together? I'm guessing he's not doing the whole 'two decks, one mixer, and a shit ton of vinyl' thing. How would you be able to do that, and make it sound so flawless? Like the previous mix, I am highly impressed. Seriously impressed. But this mix does a bit more to me: not only has Virus selected an awesome year, but he's made it focussed around Happy Hardcore. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the sound I really love. Only love and appreciation for this mix. No negative feedback. Virus has gained a new follower: ME. • Slipmatt @ Bang Face Boat Party 2019

Can I just say that I've never been on a boat and raved on it. Well, as far as I can remember. I've been all over the country, raving, and seen many venues, but never a boat. That to me is weird, but hey, it's a thing. So let me get this straight: you get a boat, throw a few people on it, book a DJ, and have a wicked time? That's what happened last year, at BangFace's boat party, on the 12th of July 2019. And it was stated as a nautical neo rave? Wow. Seriously never knew raving on a boat could sound so menacing and yet excited at the same time! But if you put Slipmatt on this boat, you will certainly have a great time. I've met and seen the legend several times, and always found his sets astonishing. He's the Godfather of Happy Hardcore for a reason, you know. He's oldskool, and I'm not making fun of his age. He is someone who lives and breathes the early rave sound. Give Slipmatt a stage, and he will turn anything into a party. Never boring with this man. Sadly a lot of his sets do not come with a tracklist, and even though I know most of the records he plays, I'm bad with naming them. Hell, I can't even remember what I ate yesterday. But someone was so kind enough to add a tracklist, so if you are a true oldskool fanatic, you can fill in the ID-less records. But at least we've got a tracklist. Here's the partial tracklist. Please do fill in the blanks if you know them. 01. ID - ID 02. Egma - Let The Bass Kick (Total Confusion Remix) 03. Holy Noise - Father Forgive Them 04. Cybersonik - Technarchy 05. Guru Josh - Infinity 06. Outlander - Vamp 07. Second Phase - Mentasm 08. L.A. Style - James Brown Is Dead 09. Quadrophonia - Quadrophonia 10. N-Joi - Malfunction 11. ID - ID 12. ID - ID 13. Moby - Go 14. ID - ID 15. The Prodigy - Everybody Is In The Place 16. ID - ID 17. DJ's Unite - Volume 1 18. N.R.G. - He Never Lost His Hardcore 19. Digital Domain - I Need Relief 20. The Prodigy - G-Force (Energy Flow) 21. Urban Hype - I Feel The Heat 22. SL2 - On A Ragga Tip 23. M-D-Emm - Move Your Feet (Keep Those Hands Up! And Stop Buying All That Crap Pop Music. Mix!) 24. 2 Bad Mice - Bombscare (Remix) 25. Dance Conspiracy - Dub War 26. Noise Overload - Right Here, Right Now (Part II) 27. Bass Selective - Blow Out Part II 28. Slipmatt - Breaking Free I've taken the liberty to use Shazam, to fill in some of the blanks. And it did work. But some it simply didn't recognise. Maybe the records were too underground for the app. Who knows. Anyway, let's get back to the boat. Slipmatt is on it, and playing these rave anthems. How does that make you feel? Not seasick, I hope. Well, the Thames can be a bit violent, but I'm guessing in July it supposed to be calm and relaxing. I'm guessing the feeling is unique, and I just can't picture it happening! But as long as it has got a power socket, you can put a set anywhere. Slipmatt never disappints. He's always on top of things. I've enjoyed each encounter with the superstar, and it's been too long since I last seen him perform. I love that he can make each set so different, but remaining so awesome at the same time. And let's not forget, he has to throw in his own legendary classics. SL2 anyone? The biggest rave anthem of all time? I just loved the set a lot, and so did the people on the boat. You can tell that the people in the picture were more focussed on raving than anything else. Social media? Nah, we don't need that, just pure raving. It's the fucking Godfather behind the decks! He doesn't take any prisoners, and wants you to dance. He has fulfilled his job. I am dancing my arse off, in my living room! Wicked mix. If anyone can fill in the ID-less records, that would be appreciated. And yes, you can mock me for NOT knowing these classics. I do know them, but not the titles. I am ashamed of myself. • Hardstyle Carnaval 2020

Carnival is about to happen. Before you are assuming that I'm talking about Brazilian carnival, you are wrong. I am talking about Dutch carnival, known as carnaval. Especially the Southern areas in the Netherlands. Down South is where they celebrate it the most. They try to do it 'above the river', but they fail. Only the South understands the true meaning behind carnaval, and we have the best parties. Fact. There's still an ongoing debate where carnaval is best, Limburg or Brabant, but I cannot judge. I've never celebrated carnaval in Brabant, seeing as I'm a Heerlenaar. But we do it extremely well in Limburg though. Anyway, let's talk about carnaval, and the emerging Hardstyle sound. When I grew up, we didn't have this. We only had the die-hard carnaval anthems but not Freestyle sounding tracks. I wish I was partying now. It's so damn cool to hear two really unique styles coming together, and the blend resulting in a wicked party sounding style. You need to please the youngsters too. The old carnaval anthems are boring. BPMs to be increased, and more bass. Always more bass. Someone on Soundcloud uploaded this Hardstyle Carnaval 2020 mix, and if you do not understand the Dutch language, you might be a bit baffled, but don't worry: you just need to feel the vibes. And understand that we like to party. 24/7, 365 days a year. I am not lying, in saying that I don't know at least 95% of the artists. I've heard of a few, but remember I left the Netherlands 4 years ago, and I haven't invested any time in carnaval since. I am sorry. Time for the traclist. Oftewel, tijd voor de tracklist. Enjoy it. 01. Hollandse Herrie & PartyfrieX - Brewery Of Lunacy (Het Stuiterbal Anthem) 02. PartyfrieX - Ik Heb Gezopen (Hardstyle Remix) 03. Schorre Chef, MC Vals, Plug 'N Play - Het Mooie Brabant 04. Lawineboys - Joost (Rogerson Bootleg) 05. Snollebollekes & Kalvijn - Leuke Sfeer Wel (Ephoric Bootleg) 06. Stefan & Sean feat Bram Krikke - Frikandel Special (Rogerson Hardstyle Bootleg) 07. Lamme Frans - Handjes Handjes Bloementjesgordijn (P!mpteam Remix) 08. Het Feestteam - Malle Babbe (Bass Chaserz Remix) 09. Feest DJ Maarten - Mama Laudaa (Hardstyle Remix) 10. Marco Kraats feat Peter vd Veire - Links Rechts Voor Achter (Resolved & Feest DJ Remco Bootleg) 11. Parla & Pardoux - Liberte (Zany Remix) 12. Vieze Jack - De Hut Verbouwen (Confetti Ravers Remix) 13. Opgeblazen feat Wilbert Pigmans - De Toreador (Crude Intentions Remix) 14. Craniax & Joey Martens - Barman Waar Is Mijn Pils 15. Andre Hazes - Kleine Jongen (Ephoric Bootleg) 16. Peter Selie - Hoemoes Da Ok Alweer (Slagerij Janssen Remix) 17. BC Den Peejkes & De Kapers Van Het Zuiden - Koning Carnaval (Hardstyle Carnaval) 18. Alex - Adio Amore (Ephoric Bootleg) 19. Ferry De Lits - Ademloos Door De Nacht (Pittboy & Jeremiah Remix) 20. Bestia feat Schorre Chef & MC Vals - De Barman (Snowbass Festival 2020 Anthem) 21. Django Wanger - Kali (Outsiders Remix) 22. PartyfrieX feat Schorre Chef - Ik Moet Zuipen! (Hardstyle Frenchcore Remix) I don't know what to say to the tracklist. I only know a handful of records, but never heard of the majority of artists. It's like a whole sub culture which has emerged after my last carnaval! I have lost touch with my roots, my Dutch roots. It even felt difficult typing the tracklist in Dutch. Boy, 4 years abroad does a lot to you. But, all in all, it's an entertaining mix. It brings a smile on your face, and gets people excited for carnaval. It's happening on the 23rd of February 2020, if Google is correct. So get you costume ready, make sure you've got enough make up, and money for boozing throughout carnaval. I remember, when I grew up, that some people saved up throughout the year, just for carnaval. That's dedication. A few small errors did occur throughout the mix, but who cares? If you hear these tunes, you are probably getting into the carnaval zone, and probably drunk. So who cares? You just want to party and enjoy life! I fully understand. Let yourself go, and be careful. Don't overdo it. Alaaf, iedereen! • The Flashback 1.0 (2020)

Monkey Kong is back with a brand spanking new mix. A new mix, with classic Hardstyle anthems. And we all love those anthems, don't we? Yes, the scene in 2020 is still vibrant and alive, but the early sound will never leave our side. It's part of our history, and has given us so many great anthems. Judging Monkey Kong's statement on Soundcloud, there will be more mixes to follow, staying on this oldskool path. Which is going to be great. Again, who doesn't like the early Hardstyle sound? The mix is an hour and a half long, and with 47 records, I know you all will be pleased. And why wouldn't you be? This is not my first Monkey Kong mix, I've listened to a few so far, and have not been disappointed yet. And before you all start yapping on about nothing,I am an early sound connoisseur, and I know what I'm talking about. I grew up listening to Hardstyle when it emerged after the Millennium, and spent a lot of money on CDs, most of them Hardstyle CDs. So yeah, I am not disappointed today: I've already checked this mix out several times, and have found it extremely good. Let's check out the tracklist. You know you want to see it! 01. Luna - Bring That Shit Back 02. TNT - Double Dutch Darkies 03. Toneshifterz & Code Black - About The Music 04. Tatanka - Tokyo 05. Davide Sonar - Spiritual Fire 06. Noisecontrollers - Promises 07. The Pitcher - Serenity 08. Francesco Zeta - Fairyland 09. Noisecontrollers - Attack Again 10. 2 Best Enemies - Phases (TBY Romantic Remix) 11. The Pitcher - I Just Can't Stop (2011 Re-Amp) 12. In-Phase - Spark 13. Project One - Rate Reducer (Headhunterz Remix) 14. D-Block & S-Te-Fan - Music Made Addict 15. Wildstylez - A Complex Situation 16. Davide Sonar - Natural 17. Project One - The Story Unfolds 18. Headhunterz - Reloaded Part 2 19. Headhunterz & Wildstylez & Noisecontrollers - Tonight 20. Builder - Her Voice (Headhunterz Remix) 21. Blutonium Boy & Van Snyder - Make It Loud (Headhunterz Remix) 22. Geck-O - It's What We Are (Headhunterz Remix) 23. Noisecontrollers & Wildstylez - Stardust 24. Wildstylez - Lonely 25. Radical Redemption - Annihilate 45. Luna & E-Force - Masterclass 46. A2 Allstars - The Resistance 47. B-Front - Mysterias This is a wicked mix. Good job, Monkey Kong. These are truly classics. Boy oh boy, the memories. It's like a flashback. Oh wait, that's the title of this newly created mix series. Ah I see, that's why it's named that way. The mix contains a lot of reoccuring names, such as Wildstylez, Headhunterz, and more. But to be fair, they have been dominating the scene for quite a while now. But it's nice that Monkey Kong added a few obscure and forgotten about anthems in here. Obviously the majority of records I knew and cherrished, but some I've completely forgotten about! That's the main reason why I listen to a lot of oldskool mixes: it always takes you back, and reminds you of all the awesome stuff released, and forgotten about. I've got only love to give to this mix. Obviously you don't get full length anthems, but short versions, but they are still long enough for you to become highly excited. And Crypsis' 'Torture' has done that to me. What a wicked and brilliant anthem. Time for me to dig through my collection and find the full length version. Monkey Kong, you rule! • WINTER HARDCORE 2019 MIX

It's official, it's Winter. But looking outside, a storm is brewing. Storm Ciara is currently sweeping the nation, and throwing bins around the place. It's manic, it's hectic. Scary? Not really, but it's still early. Things might happen later. But for now it's my neighbours bins that are suffering from the storm. So to not hear them flying through the street, I needed something hard, rough, and idiotic. Hence why I went to Lil Texas' page. This Texian DJ has been doing great stuff in the harder style scene, and has become a household name in such a short period of time. And his WINTER HARDCORE 2019 MIX has already been listened to 27k+ within a month. It seems that people are digging this a lot. Am I one of those people? Well, I'm still listening to this mix, so the answer is yes. It's hard though. Bloody Nora, it's hard. This is not for the people who can't handle beats above 138 BPM. This has got way more BPMs than most of us can handle. And if you wanted to see Lil Texas, you could have seen him at GPF party, which happened only a few hours ago. Not fair, I wanted to go there. But hey ho, I am not. Anyway, if you have missed this event, no worries: at least we've got this Winter mix. Even though in London it doesn't look like Winter at all. The mix is 58 minutes long. and contains 45 records. Starting with some nice Hardstyle/Rawstyle anthems, and slowly increasing the BPMs. By the time you've reached the half hour mark, you are already out of breath, and you feel dehydrated. Number 26 seemed to have disappeared? Anyway, you are not that bothered, are you? You couldn't care less. At the moment, the wind is blowing outside, and this mix is blowing my mind, all at the same time. This is filth. Lil Texas, you are a weirdo. Your Winter mix is truly insane. How can anyone still be standing after 58 minutes? You are truly blown away by the BPMs, and they only increase from the first second. No fucking about, this man does not take any prisoners. Best record? I wanted to choose GPF's record, specifically the last record, but we are outside of the festive season, so I cannot select it now. Instead I've selected The Satan's 'Bombs'. A true dancefloor smasher. Filth. Maybe in Texas it's Winter now, and they are experiencing a lot of snow. God knows, sadly never been to 'Murica.Really want to though. But for now I'm fine in London. But this DJ does bring the heat and fire to 'Murica. I love the fact that he just does whatever he fancies. Plays the hardest records out there. And also that he has given this mix out for free, if you've got Spotify. I do not have it, but if you want to hear this mix, just get Spotify, and listen to it wherever you fancy. A fantastic mix. Hard, rough, and yeah, fucked up. But did you expect anything else from Lil Texas? I certainly didn't expect a slow mix. But this hard? Not really. We need more Lil Texas. This mix was dope. • THE ARTIST FORMALLY KNOWN AS MISTER PODCAST (2016)

I know, I know. This has been reviewed before. But I couldn't let this one go by without letting you know of its existence. But there's more I discovered today, for which I have missed all the signs. But that to come later. For now, let's talk about TAFKAMP and the Strobe mix he made for them 4 years ago. 4 years ago I discovered TAFKAMP, and my whole life changed. Seriously, it changed. That's when I came to the UK, and when my illness started to creep up on me. The funny thing was, that the intro suited me sooo well, you wouldn't believe it. I actually had cysts removed (and now my whole kidney is gone), but it always made me smile, this fucked up intro. But it's not all about cysts. It's about Techno. And Techno, ladies and gentlemen, is awesome. Filth. Sexy. Rude. Hard. Lovely. You can use literally any word you want, and it describes Techno. But one word sticks on my mind, and suits the style more than any other: timeless. That's what Techno is. If you look at TAFKAMP's mix, it's a mix and match of old and new and whatever he could find. And he even ends on a harder and faster paced note. I'm loving this a lot. The 'secret' I uncovered, is who's behind TAFKAMP. I literally had no clue, no idea. I thought it was a weirdo making music on old Roland equipment in his attic. A zolderkamer producer. But he definately isn't. But you might be wondering: who's the stranger behind the name? Who's responsible for this mix? Well, I am not telling you. Use the power of the internet to find it out. The mix. Tracklist. Yep, it's on its way! 01. Overcast - Cyst Sandwich 02. Schmerzlabor - Car Audio Test Track 03. Kraftwerk - It's More Fun To Compute 04. Unit Moebius - Beat That Perculator 05. T-Bone Castro - Hilltop Hustler (I'm The One & Only) 06. Altern-8 - Move My Body (Hard Hardcore Mix) 07. The Mover - Waves Of Life 08. TAFKAMP - Nothingness 09. The Mover - The Emperor Takes Place 10. TAFKAMP - Trauner 11. Fast Money - One $ 12. Terrace - Untitled (B3) 13. The Horrorist - Mission Ecstasy 14. TAFKAMP - Fictief 15. Terrace - Trance Xpress 16. Fallbeil - Brutal Ignorant 17. Muslimgauze - Untitled 1985 18. Hibbem Soundsystem - High Coos (Alternative Studio Mix) 19. Kraftwerk - Numbers 20. Bierkoerier - High Have It 21. Legowelt - Electro Race 22. LFO - Whistle While You Jerk 23. Synthadelic - I'm A Secretary 24. DJ Pierre - Box Energy (AFX 2 Remix) 25. Unknown Artist - Countdown FFM V (A2) 26. Bald Terror - Rotterdam 27. Signs Of Chaos - Killout 3 (A2) A well thought of tracklist. It's not easy to make a mix that lives on the border of perfection, but with the right tracks you are capable of doing anyting. And TAFKAMP's selection is truly astonishing. What makes it stranger is the fact that he blends several styles into one, seamlessly sounding mix, and it all just sound epic. He even managed to cram in a few oldskool rave anthems, Hardcore/Gabber anthems, and the result is something he should be proud of. Some of the records selected are truly amazing. Weird, yes, but amazing. How did he find these gems? Who the fuck would made a record and call it 'Whistle While You Jerk'? That's just crazy. But I'm loving the weird vibes surrounding this mix. I'm feeling this. It's nice and mellow, if truth be told. It's a nice and relaxing hour and 3 minute long mix. TAFKAMP is a hero, and that's no exaggeration. Don't know why the original mix was taken down, but thankfully TAFKAMP uploaded it 2 years ago again onto his Soundcloud page. And if you are looking for a weird but exciting page, do not look any further. TAFKAMP is cool, ladies and gentlemen. He is uber cool. Not uber as in the driver, uber, But even cooler. Best record of this mix? I have to give credit to 'Rotterdam' by Bald Terror. I love the transition from the previous and next track, and this monster anthem. Underrated classic anthem. Loving it. A weird concept, this TAFKAMP. But I love it. I hope this mix stays long enough on Soundcloud, so I can show this to my grankids, and say 'grandad was a freak, and listened to this, you know', whilst eating a Werther's Original. • Freestyle Maniacs Hardcore Classics 1992 -2002 Early Mix-tape 002

It's Wednesday. Wednesday, Early Hardcore day. It's not an official day, but truth be told, every occupation on God's given Earth has got their own day, and all genders, all sexualities, everything has got their own specific day. Why not have a Hardcore day? And no, not full on Hardcore porn. I'm talking about Gabber, Hardcore. Hardcore House/Techno. That kind of porno. Much better than porno. Is it even better than sex? Sometimes you get even more of an experience when you listen to Hardcore music. Anyway, today is Hardcore day to me, so I went on Soundcloud, searched for 'Early Hardcore', found a ton of shit mixes, and the first one with a tracklist, and actually sounding good, was this mixtape by the Freestyle Maniacs. I've got this feeling I've already reviewed this before. I can't recollect. Is it due to me partying too much in the 90s and early 00s that my braincells are slowly moving away from my body? I should be a bit more professional, shouldn't I? Anyway, if I have or haven't, it really doesn't matter, and that's why I should be talking about the actual mix. The mix contains a lot of wicked anthems. 47 to be precise. In an hour long mix. So be prepared for an eargasm. Don't you just love it, going back in time? For this mix the Freestyle Maniacs have selected records from 1992 til 2002. 10 years of excellent Hardcore anthems. Do you think the same? What do you think of the tracklist? Opinions, please?! 01. Hardcore Elements vs Bad News - Tell The DJ 02. DJ Isaac - Face Down, Ass Up 03. Marshall Masters - Stereo Murder 04. Crowd Control - Tranzformer (Attic & Acesone Remix) 05. The Darkraver & DJ Vince - Thunderground 06. Robert Armani - Hit Hard 07. Rave Creator - A New Mind (Cold Rush Phuture Mix) 08. Radical 2 React - Eliminating Suckers 09. Marshall Masters - E-Ternal 10. DJ Promo - Midnight Impact 11. Sons Of Ilsa - Pulsingers Nacht (I'm A Raver Baby) 12. French Connection - French Connection 13. Digital Boy - OK, Alright ('96 Remix) 14. DJ Promo - King Of Pain 15. Nasty Django & DJ Cirillo - Deal Wit' Beats 16. DJ Sim - Simbiosis 17. Hard Creation - Let's Get 'm All 18. T.N.T. - Criminal Mind 19. Masoko Solo - Pessa Pessa (DJ Cerla's 172 BPM Rave Mix) 20. Steve Shit - Commoonya'll (Move Ya' Bodies) 21. Rave Creator & The Mover - Atmos-Fear 22. DJ Isaac & The Viper - Fun-Ky Beats 23. The Stunned Guys & DJ Paul feat MC Ruffian - Thrillseeka 24. Maurizio Braccagni - Mosquito (DJ Paul Mix) 25. Bodylotion - Make You Dance 47. Bass-D & King Matthew - In The Mix Brilliant selection. It's obviously filled with the most well known anthems in our raving history, but that doesn't spoil the mix. Oh contraire, my friend. Sometimes you just need to hear ALL the classics. And I do mean ALL the classics. And the Freestyle Maniacs have selected a ton of excellent tunes. And made by a wide variety of artists. Beautiful, I say. Beautiful. You would expect me to choose an all time favourite like 'Simbiosis', 'Midnight Impact', 'Stereo Murder', or anyone similar as my favourite. You are oh so wrong. My favourite, which I haven't heard in years, is 'Slammin Beatz' by Pinhead. Proper oldskool vibes. This track is filled with the early sound. Gosh, I miss that sound a lot. Simplicity is what we need. Back to the 303, 606 and 909s. A very good mixtape by the Freestyle Maniacs. I will check out if there are more online I can listen to. Even though the edges are still a bit sharp during mixing, it's still a highly enjoyable mix with 47 classic anthems. Who doesn't like a bit of Hardcore on a Wednesday? Downloadable too! Another bonus. Wicked, sir! • The Best Of Bonkers Mixed By DJ Brady (2020)

Bonkers. Ever heard of this compilation? Ever bought any of these albums? If you haven't, are you even a raver? This compilation ran between 1996 and 2009, and had some amazing albums over the years. Most of these albums were mixed by Sharkey, Hixxy and Scott Brown, but they also had a few guest mixes by big names such as Dougal, Vibes, Breeze & Styles, Re-Con, CLSM, Kutski, Kevin Energy, Chris Unknown, Marc Smith, and more. 11 years ago it died a slowly death, after being resurrected. It's still one of the most influencial names in the UK Hardcore rave history, and has played a huge part of it. Memories galore! The whole compilation is mesmerizing, and has been a fan favourite for many years now. Of all the mix compilations being released over the years, the Bonkers compilation has had the most impact of them all. Also, I do think there are more mixes focussed on the Bonkers compilation than all the others out there on Soundcloud and Mixcloud. Everyone loves the Bonkers compilation, and why not? This all makes sense. I threw my collection away, because I've got them all stored on my PC now, but I remember when I was buying them, some had to come from Australia, because they were sold out in the UK, or not made anymore (I jumped the band wagon too late). DJ Brady's latest mix is focussed on the UK Hardcore compilation Bonkers, and this hour and a half long mix has got 22 epic anthems. All his own favourites. And after hearing the mix, the selection is really interesting. So let me show you the tracklist right now: 01. DJ Brady - Intro 02. Brisk & Ham - Getting High 03. Breeze & Styles - The Beat Kicks 04. Styles & Breeze - Your Shining 05. Scott Brown - Elysium Plus 06. Scott Brown - Gang Bang Society 07. Dougal & Gammer - Fires In The Sky 08. UFO & MC Marley - Connections 2002 09. Scott Brown - Blue Anthem 10. Scott Brown & Cat Knight - All About You 11. Paradise - See The Light (Sy & Unknown Remix) 12. Brisk & Vagabond vs MC Wotsee - The Last Word 13. Dougal & Gammer - Get Hype (Exclusive Bonkers 9 Remix) 14. Stargazer - Ultimate High (Breeze & Styles Remix) 15. Dougal & Gammer - Jam The NightClub (Remix) 16. UFO & Marley - Hardcore Underground 2002 17. Dougal & Gammer - The 6th Gate 18. Dougal & Gammer - Go Widda Flow (Beat The System) 19. Dougal & Gammer - This Is A Virus 20. Plus System - Neckbreaker 21. Fracus feat Ali - Guiding Light 22. Gammer - Let's All Say Fuck Wow. A good selection, mr Brady. Excellent choice. Maybe this could be the start of something? More of these mixes please, I really like the Bonkers collection, and I would like to see similar mixes like this one show up on my timeline on Soundcloud. The hour and a half has flown by without me even realising it. A lot of reoccuring names do appear in this mix, like Scott Brown, Breeze & Styles, Dougal and Gammer, but also a few records we all love and adore by Sy & Unknown, UFO and MC Marley, and Fracus feat Ali (and also Brisk & Ham). Correct me if I'm wrong, but this mix is focussed on the music released after the Millennium period, yes? This sounds like all the anthems I grew up with, listening to once I discovered UK Hardcore. I can only give Brady credit for making this excellent mix. Really enjoyed the 21 records he has selected. And of course he had to select the biggest anthem of ALL time, and fight me in the comments if you disagree, but 'See The Light' has to be the ultimate dancefloor smasher! What a beast of a track. Download this right now, and make sure you blow the dust of your collection. Get Bonkers back into our lives again. But please, don't let anyone reboot the series. They tried it, and it failed. Don't do it again. Thank you.
