1995 Happy Hardcore Mix Vol. 2 (2022)

Tuesday has arrived, one day closer to the weekend. And let's start today with a mix that takes us back to the mid 90s. And yes, it's filled with Happy Hardcore anthems. And the year in question? Well, if you haven't guessed by now (by reading the title of this review), it's the year of our Lord 1995. Remember that year? So many things happened in that year, and I quickly had a look on Wikipedia, and there's a lot of negative stuff that happened back then. Not something to be reminded of, so let's focus on Andy's mix and the tunes he selected for this mix...

Happy Hardcore. 1995. It wasn't at its peak yet, that was (to me) the following year. But don't underestimate this year, as it paved the way for the biggest year for the style ever. It swooped the British dance scene, and also grew in popularity all over Europe. And every country had their own approach to the style. The mix you are about to listen to, made by Andy Pav, is filled with those big British anthems. Love them or hate them, you will certainly have to underline their importance to the scene in general.

But truth be told, who hates Happy Hardcore? You cannot dislike this music, and the mix you are about to listen to, has got those anthems you cannot dislike, nor ignore. And Andy has selected a fair few wicked tunes. The mix might only be 56 minutes long, but within those minutes he serves you 14 wicked records.

You ready for the tracklist? Ready to go back in time? If you are, let's go!

  1. Midas - Groove Control

  2. DJ Seduction - Samplemania (Remix)

  3. The Scotchman - Happy Vibes

  4. Billy 'Daniel' Bunter & JDS - Music Is Moods

  5. The Vampire - Teknostorm

  6. DJ Seduction - Disco Hardcore

  7. Dougal & Mickey Skeedale - Really Love You (Remix)

  8. Vibes & Wishdokta - No More Tears

  9. 2 Left Feet - Never Let You Go

  10. Vibena - Positive Energy (DJ Brisk Remix)

  11. DJ Pooch - Live For The Future

  12. Two Ruff - Bouncing Darkness

  13. Q-Tex vs Technosis - Kaos

  14. Scott Brown - A New Feeling

Will you look at this!? This is really a nice looking tracklist. Good selection of tunes by Andy Pav. Got nothing else to say about that, because that is the truth. The tracks are solid as a rock!

Obviously the mix starts with DJ Midas' tune. A good track to start your mix with, that's for damn sure. And it sets the tone for the rest of the mix. The rest of the mix remains as awesome as you would expect it to be. And damn, those classics... one after the other. No time to sit back and unwind... you are expected to be moving constantly!

This mix has been played over and over by yours truly, and it's been an amazing journey back to the year 95. Such an underestimated year, and it should get more recognition for what it meant to us ravers.

Andy's mix is dope, and it's got DJ Pooch's 'Live For The Future' in it. First time I heard it was on the Happy Hardcore Megamix CD, and still to this day it's a monster of a track! Love it!

More Happy Hardcore from 1995 please!
