  • NARKOTIK - In Memoriam II: 90's Terror (2026)

Monday is always an unpleasant day: a new week has started, you need to find your mojo again, and tap into your work mode, which was hidden for 48 hours. You need to get back to reality again, and for 8+ hours, your boss requires you to carry out the work you have signed up to do. Which is all fine by me, but I need something to get me through today. Something with a lot of energy, and something that also reminds me of the 90s. I could listen to the many pop radio stations out there, but then I would lose the will to live. And that's certainly not required on this Monday morning. So I decided to hit my trusted Soundcloud, and voila: a Terror mix by NARKOTIK. Not the first time, and I remember listening to the first instalment back in 2023, and now he's back with the second mix. And it is as hard as you can imagine it to be. Obviously it is hard, the name is Terror. But 90s Terror and Speedcore music was just a different thing all together. You either liked it or you didn't. And at first, I didn't. But then it hit me, and it hit me hard. More like a bulldozer. And it has caused permanent ear damage. I can say for certain that it's down to Terror and Speedcore. And that's cool. You cannot listen to it at any volume but max, right? And the 90s were so damn cool and good, as Terror was considered to be new, and wouldn't be bound to specifics: it could be hard and rough, could be slow and arduous. It could be anything, but as long as it wasn't defined by anything but Terror. And I do sometimes wonder why this kind of music appealed to me. I do not have a definitive answer, nor will I be able to explain why I still like it, in 2026. Let me show you all the tunes selected by NARKOTIK, and the tunes I grew up with. 01. Delta 9 - In The Void 02. Delta 9 - No More Regrets 03. The Destroyer - Toasted Dork (Heary Mix) 04. Delta 9 - Atomizer 05. D.O.A . - You're Dead 06. D.O.A. - This Is D.O.A. 07. The Destroyer - Big Bit 08. DJ 8MIX - Children, Get Up (The Destroyer Remix) 09. The Destroyer - BRBRBROB GEE Suck My Beat! 10. Nukom - Countdown 11. U.V.C . - U.V.C. 12. The Shaftmen - Shaftman (Delta 9 Remix) 13. D.O.A. - DJ Assfucker 14. Delta 9 - Head Strong 15. D.O.A. - Unleash The Brutality 16. The Kotzaak Klan - Bang Your Fuckin' Head 17. DJ Freak - Behold The Dreamer 18. The Blade Runner - Get Yours 19. Headcrash - D.I.E. 20. Industrial Terror Squad - Nightmare 21. D.O.A. - N.Y.C. Speedcore 22. Industrial Terror Squad - Real Gangstaz 23. Headcrash - Hardcore M.F. 24. The Destroyer - Fuck The Dream 25. Sonic Overkill - I’ll Be Watching You Die 26. Sonic Overkill - Kill Da Murder 27. Hedonist - Noise Job 28. Hedonist - For The Kill 29. David Lagon - Eins Zwei Brrrr 30. Christ Of Noise & David Lagon - Loud Bastard MED 31. Animal Intelligence - Object Of Rave This is an awesome list. A nice selection of records, and I always get a tad more excited when I see D.O.A., The Kotzaak Klan, and The Destroyer. And let's not forget Delta 9. Oh, these are the names I grew up with, and even though you might not like them, at least I like them. NARKOTIK's mix is very interesting. According to the mix, it was 'mixed on the fly'. If that's the case, be more 'on the fly', as this mix is awesome and we need more 90s Terror/Speedcore mixes. The hour goes by without you really noticing, and you are eager to press the play button again. These are just so freakishly good. Hard, rough, but deep down inside, there is beauty. Now the easy part: my favourite record. I have to split it into two, and both are records by D.O.A. The first one being 'N.Y.C. Speedcore' and the second one, which is an all time classic, 'Unleash The Brutality'. You cannot compete with these records, D.O.A.'s finest records. And probably the best 90s Terror/Speedcore records money can buy. I really enjoyed this mix, and it's given me enough energy to last the next 4+ days. I will be absolutely knackered on Friday, and if needs must, I will repeat what I've done today: listen to this mix. I simply have to. • Oldschool Ruffneck Ruffex Records Mix by Genetic (2025)

It is Sunday. Time has flown by, and the weekend is slowly coming to an end. But let's end it with a bang. A mix which contains music from one of the most prolific labels in Hardcore history. Ruffex Records. Ever heard of it? I certainly have, and so has the majority of the gabbers in the 90s and early 00s. Ruffneck as an artist has had some amazing music, and I'm glad to have lived through the era in which he dominated everything, including the 'Artcore' scene! Ruffneck and his music was everywhere. And I can't even comprehend how many of his aliases have been around, and who's music touched me personally. He had so many aliases, I think only Marc Acardipane has more. But Ruffneck and his labels meant a lot to the raving community, and still is considered one of the finest labels out there. I certainly concur, and when I discovered this mix by Genetic, I had to jump on, and enjoy it. Which I certainly did. Even though this mix was released in 2025, it is still awesome to hear. Not the first Genetic mix on this website, as his previous Ruffneck focussed mix was also on here. This time it's a shorter mix, but still with a lot of Ruffex records on it. And I could not wish for anything else. It's dreary outside, miserable and cold, and raining too. Time to turn up the volume to the max and go back in time, when things were much more simpler, and yet more awesome! 1. Diss Reaction - DJ Lan 2. Vanugenth the 5th - Here we go again.. 3. Predator vs Wedlock - Get On Down 4. Myztic - To Da Rhythm 5. Wedlock - Im The Fuck You Man! 6. Diss Reaction - Rock Dizz 7. Predator vs Wedlock - Roots and Culture 8. Lockjaw - Like A Bolder 9. Myztic vs Myrmidon - Pop Goes Tha Pistol 10. Nitrogen - Bad Bwoy 11. Myztic - Photonic Style 12. Trickster - Stop The Rhythm 13. Predator - Art Attack 14. Dark Syndicate - Escape From Reality 15. Ectomorph - Fall Of Babylon 16. Nosferatu - Inspiration Vibes 17. Ectomorph - Mindblower 18. Nitrogen - Da First Power 19. Knightvision - The Search For Marihuana This is a very interesting mix with some big anthems. Leave that to Ruffneck and friends to make awesome records, which quickly become timeless classics. And still sounding unique and fresh, and oh so damn good. They do sound futuristic, still to this day. Call it Hardcore, or call it whatever you like. This is Hardcore from the future. Maybe in the year 2100 they go and 'create' this sound, and relieve ourselves from Uptempo and other nonsense music. Genetic's mix is really great. And I really liked it. And the first few times I did listen to this mix, I really had no idea that this mix only lasts 38 minutes. So roughly 2 minutes per track, which doesn't seem like much, but he's mixed it together beautifully and not rushed, it doesn't come across as a quick mix, in my honest opinion. The best record? 'Stop The Rhythm'. What a wonderful track. Timeless masterpiece. Without a doubt, the best one in this mix. There are two less interesting tracks, which are 'The Search For Marihuana', and 'Pop Goes Tha Pistol'. They've never been my favourites, sorry. I want more Ruffneck orientated music. I don't want this present day Hardcore, but this futuristic sounding Hardcore. The way it was, and never will be repeated. They don't make them like they used to. • Dave Pearce - Dance Anthems Summer 2003

2003. That's 16 years ago. Let that sink in for a minute. 16 years ago I was working at Fantasy Island in Skegness, and had the time of my life. I remember going out to the clubs in Skegness and Ingoldmells, and getting absolutely hammered to the bone. I was so waisted: we celebrated my 18th or 19th birthday there back in 2001 or 20002, and we went out to the club, and people kept getting me vodka with Red Bull. I was so drunk, I can't even remember where I woke up the next day. But I do remember going absolutely ape on the dancefloor. I was young. Now I'm old, and missing those good ol' days. What I do remember is the music. This was the era of pop music being awesome. And sadly most of these tunes are not on the radio anymore. But back then the tunes were heard everywhere. And when I mean everywhere, I do mean it. The music made became timeless anthems. Even 16 years later I'm enjoying myself, hearing these tunes again. Smiles for miles, eh? For me the CD I'm talking about has got a lot of memories. Pleasant memories. It was innocent clubbing, that's what it was. But not just that, I was also a supporter of vodka and the energy drinks company Red Bull. I made them a lot of money. Anyway, this CD. It's Dave Pearce's 'Dance Anthems Summer 2003' CD. And I think I bought this at an HMV? Well, I bought it somewhere. And I remember handing it over to the control room at Fantasy Island, and they played out the tunes during the evening. It was so good to hear these anthems whilst being an operator at the rides. We also created our own anthems, but that's for another day (different story, angry manager). I bought this because of the memories. And even in 2019 I'm still playing it. Thankfully I burned this onto my PC a few years ago, because the actual physical copy is unplayable. So many scratches, it just hurts my ears whenever I press play. Skipping constantly. And I think the second disc is just fucked the most: I insert the CD, it starts with track 1 skipping, and it goes towards the last record, without asking. And the story ends with it saying 'CD error'. Dave Pearce, your CD is one of the most loved CDs in my possession. Yes, it does contain a few cheesy anthems, but the general gist of this album is euphoria. And eternal happiness for me. Let me show the young kids what kind of music we were listening to back in 2003. CD 1 01. Benny Benassi presents The Biz - Satisfaction 02. Tomcraft - Loneliness 03. Room 5 feat Oliver Cheatham - Make Luv 04. Jason Nevins presents U.K.N.Y. feat Holly James - I'm In Heaven (Motivo Vocal Remix) 05. L.C. Anderson vs Psycho Radio - Right Stuff (Original Mix) 06. Intenso Project feat Laura Jaye - Your Music 07. Kurtis Matronix presents Chamonix - How Did You Know? 08. Deepest Blue - Deepest Blue 09. Layo & Bushwacka! - Love Story (vs Finally) (Tim Deluxe Vocal Mix) 10. Basement Jaxx - Where's Your Head At? 11. X-Press 2 feat David Byrne - Lazy 12. Shakedown - At Night 13. Jakatta - American Dream 14. Minimalistix - Magic Fly 15. Dee Dee - Forever 16. Future Breeze - Temple Of Dreams 17. Cosmic Gate - Fire Wire 18. Push - Strange World 19. Alison Limerick - Where Love Lives (Northstarz Remix) 20. Sound De-Zign - Happiness 21. The Beginerz - Reckless Girl 22. Static Revenger - Happy People 23. Supermen Lovers - Starlight CD 2 01. DJ Sammy - Sunlight 02. Love Inc - Broken Bones 03. Yomanda - You're Free (Synth Mix) 04. The Foundation feat Nathalie Rossie - All Out Of Love 05. Snap! - Rhythm Is A Dancer 06. Michael Woods feat Imogen Bailey - If You Want Me (Lifestylers Edit) 07. Jurgen Vries feat CMC - The Opera Song (Brave New World) 08. Saffron Hill feat Ben Onono - My Love Is Always There 09. Underworld - Two Months Off 10. Kosheen - Hide U (John Creamer & Stephane K Edit) 11. Ian van Dahl - Will I 12. The Space Brothers - One More Chance 13. Plastic Boy - Live Another Life 14. ATB - 9PM (Till I Come) 15. Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar '98 (Original Three 'N One Edit) 16. Chicane - Saltwater 17. Storm - Time To Burn 18. Zombie Nation - Kernkraft 400 19. Mario Piu - Communication 20. Norman Bass - How U Like Bass 21. Warrior - Warrior 22. Schiller - Das Glockenspiel 23. DJ Shog - This Is My Sound We all know these tracks. Unless you were born in 2003, or after. But if you are an 80s kid like me, you will know these, and probably loves these. And also have this love/hate relationship with a few of these records. Yes, they are crowd pleasers, but are they really good good? 'Kernkraft 400'? So catchy, but so bad at the same time. 'Where's Your Head At?' Never a fan of Basement Jaxx. Boring and repetative vocals. But hey, at least they made some money out of it, and made me dance in 2003 like a rabid dog. The first disc starts with probably the most annoying record ever, and yet, once you heard it, or even read the title, it won't leave your head for a day or two. But for me its a combination of several factors which makes a track great. Yes, repetative bits and bobs is important, but also wicked vocals. And if you can throw in a few wicked drops, who am I to complain? 'How Did You Know' is that record for me. So underrated. LOVE IT (not for it being underrated though). The second disc also has a few amazing records. But it's that combination I'm looking for, and I found it in The Space Brothers' record 'One More Chance'. But that's just my preference: you might like another record. Sure, why not? As I said before, this CD has a lot of positive memories. But also a few bad records. Records that have not stood the test of time well. But still seen as classics, but not in my books. Am I the only one who finds Underworld overrated? Anyway. It's Thursday. Throwback Thursday. Taking me back to 2003. 16 years ago. Wow. Thanks Dave for making this year a wicked one, and putting my memories on one CD. • Progressive Trance Classics (2024)

The image above, that's how it looked like this morning, looking out of my bedroom window. The sky looked amazing, and even though it was a bit nippy outside, currently the temperatures have gone up, and it actually feels extremely pleasant. The weather has changed, and so had my mood. And now, I am in the mood for some lovely Trance music. And obviously, my source for excellent Trance music, is Soundcloud. I think my stats from last year did show I was on it for most of the year, and spent way too much time on it. But can you blame me? I had this mix on list 'favourite' list for a few weeks now, and I did listen to it a few times, but now I have done my chores, and got some time to myself. And I had to listen to it again. And I'm so glad that I did. It is made by Andresen, who has appeared a few times on this website, and it was uploaded 2 years ago, but it was already an 'old' mix, as he made it a few years prior to uploading it. That is obviously an added bit of info, but not relevant to this mix, as the music speaks for itself. And it's all down to the music selected by Andresen. It contains a few very delicious anthems from back in the day. And a few I've not heard before, or completely forgotten about. And the funny thing is, this mix only contains 7 records, which is kind of short, compared to other mixes I've been listening to lately. 7 tracks, and 1 hour long. Not each, you numpty, but the whole mix. Christ, that would make this a 7 hour long mix, and I don't have 7 uninterrupted hours in a day, Taucher - Waters (Phase III) LSG - Netherworld Planisphere - So Many Ways (Force Mass Motion Remix) Leama - Melodica Odessi - Moments Of Space Delerium - Silence (Fade's Sanctuary Mix) Yum Yum - Heavy Fluid (Main Element Mix) This could be the winner of shortest tracklist ever. Took me less than 20 seconds to type. And that hasn't happened before. So already a winning mix to me. But what a mix this is. Short tracklist, but each track is just so darn good. So influential, and sometimes way ahead of its time. I never knew that LSG's 'Netherworld' was released in 1997. It could have been released in 2000, 2010, or even in 2020, and I would have taken your word on it. What a timeless classic. And definitely my favourite record in this mix, that's for damn sure. Andresen takes us on a pleasant journey, and the hour flies by before you know it. And I highly recommend this mix. It's got some bangers, and they are played at full length, no radio edits or shortened versions to cram in as many tracks as possible. 7 tracks, that is totally sufficient for an hour long mix. And they are solid tracks. It was difficult to choose 'Netherworld' as my number 1, and 'Heavy Fluid' is another banging tune, slightly underrated, in my honest opinion. But 'Netherworld' will always top it, any day. Go and jump on this classic mix. It will not disappoint you. Now it's time for me to go outside, and enjoy the Sun. You do the same, while blasting out this mix. • Dream Machine (Uplifting , Vocal Trance Mix) (2026)

Where did the weekend go? Christ on a bike, time does fly by, doesn't it? It is already Monday, and we are back to normal. A normal working week for all of us, and I was thoroughly enjoying the weekend. Maybe it's time to introduce a 5 day weekend, and a 2 day working week. That would be amazing! But that's not happening in this universe, maybe in one of the MCU multiverse worlds. But one can hope, and one can dream. And some even have a dream machine.... Well, not literally. But the title of this mix is indeed 'Dream Machine', as you can see on the image above. And I stumbled across this mix by accident. Obviously Soundcloud has got a lot of mixes, and most of them will go by me without being noticed. But this one was noticed. Not sure why, but I'm glad that I did discover this mix. As it has given me enough energy on this Monday to get me through the week ahead. And it ain't going to be a pleasant week. I've not seen the name DJ Grey before, nor have I come across any of his mixes. This is literally the first mix I've encountered, and what a glorious mix it is. Filled with Uplifting and Euphoric Trance anthems, I couldn't wish for anything else. The mix is nearly an hour and a half long, and if you put it on repeat, the rest of your day is sorted. That's what I've done today, to be fair. Richard Durand, Nicholas Gunn & Alina Renea - For You (Alex M.O.R.P.H. Remix) Izzy - Coruscate (Extended Mix) Gouryella - Walhalla (Wayne McAndrew Face-Lift Remix) Venetica & Wavetraxx - Air (Original Mix) DJT & Sharon B - Home Again (Extended Mix) Derb - Derbus (RAM's Refurbished Fusion Remix) Randy Katana - Fancy Fair (Daniel Skyver Bootleg) Allen Watts - Violator (Extended Mix) RAM & MIDI Kittyy - Rapture (Extended Mix) Peter Martijn Wijnia & Majesta - Not The End (Niko Zografos Remix) U-Mount - Pulsar (Extended Mix) DJ Ton T.B. - Dream Machine (Factor B's Back To The Future Remix) Alex M.O.R.P.H. & Paul Denton - Teleporter (Extended Mix) Criostasis - The Elements Of Life Thomas McGoldrick - Just A Dream (Extended Mix) A-Tronix & Sven E - Tell Me (Brent Rix Remix) An unexpected mix to hear on this Monday, and it has made the day fly by. A nice surprise, and the mix contains a lot of records you weren't ready for. This has been a pleasant ride. Not really into dreamland on a dream machine, but it was close enough. You can imagine a world beyond your visual capabilities, and DJ Grey taking you on the journey towards this secret world. And these tunes are certainly great to listen to. But normally, when you are to go into dreamland, you would like peace and quiet. This is the opposite, and it makes me want to raise my hands in the air, and NOT fall asleep. It's a splendid mix. I've got nothing more to add. So many great records in here. A lot I've not heard of seen before. And that's what makes this mix interesting. Especially when ''Rapture'' comes in. That's a big track. I know the original, and I find the vocals a bit bland, but when the epic build up occurs, you know it is going to be a great section. A great record. Go and jump on this dream machine, and see where DJ Grey takes you to! • Thunderdome - Promo 'The Ultimate Megamix' (2016)

Seeing these sets on YouTube from Thunderdome 2024 and 2025, it made me hungry for more DJ Promo. I am fully aware that he did his set with Catscan in 2025, but you know what I'm saying. DJ Promo is the best of the best, both when it comes to DJing and producing. And he's been one of my favourites for a few decades now. So to find his Thunderdome CD from 2016, which I've not seen or heard before, is always a very warm welcome on this Friday afternoon. How can I say no to a DJ Promo mixed CD. Could you? I cannot. And normally I would give some kind of history, but for DJ Promo it is certainly not needed. We all know the history. Would we have to mentioned the history of the greatest of all time? It's already imprinted in our minds. He is the greatest, and he freaking knows it. Name someone who has made so many hits in the 90s and 00s, and still remains active, alive and kicking, and who is appreciated by the whole raving community? There could only be one. He is the boss. And I've been a fan since the mid 90s. HIs music seems to have captured the right atmosphere of Hardcore during the late 90s and early 00s. He's been dominating the scene ever since he stepped in, and released his music. And obviously, if ever Thunderdome knocks on someone's door, it has to be Promo. And in 2016, both Thunderdome and The Third Movement released a CD, which came in a bundle. I don't think I've seen this one before, but it came with a few goodies. I remember those goodie CD packs. How many of us bought them in the 90s? Stickers, t-shirts, CDs, agendas, and more. Let's not forget the keychains and lanyards. I had them all, but unfortunately I missed out on this one. Well, at least we've got the music. And it's epic! Promo - I Wanna Freak You Promo feat Solo - Psycho Style Promo - Sing It Louder Promo - Burning 4 U Promo - Boomin' Out The Box Promo feat Brian Acardy - Let The Bass Boom Promo - Kill Tha Noise Promo - From Da Darkside Promo - Can't Hold Me Down Promo - Bring It Raw Promo feat Gemini - This Underground Sound Promo - Bad Boy Style Promo - Cold As Stone Promo feat Brian Acardy - Rock The House Promo - Shit To Die For Promo - Killerz Promo - Feel The Thunder Promo feat Brian Acardy - Ya Gangsta Music Promo - Rocking With The Best Promo feat Delirium - Bass Power Promo feat Brian Acardy - Wayz Of Da Underground Promo - Beat Ya Brain Promo - Shut Up! My childhood in a nutshell. I'm not kidding, I would say 95% of these songs I grew up with, and played until my parents cut the cables of my speakers. That's when the fun ended, but thankfully I had my 'my first Sony walkman' headset. Not sufficient enough and not very bass focussed, but I had to listen to Hardcore, 24/7. This is a splendid mix from the first to the last second. Obviously you got DJ Promo behind the decks, playing DJ Promo songs. It's a match, that's for sure. My idea of Heaven. And the songs? They are all absolutely wicked. Over the years, I've not had the pleasure of seeing Promo perform. The only one I can remember, was at Mysteryland 1998. And he did a marvellous set. And I always hold that live CD near to my heart: first ever rave, and we won a football match. The atmosphere was electric, and so was the CD. And based upon my love for that CD, my favourite track in this mix is 'Can't Hold Me Down'. There are so many great songs in this mix, and I truly love them all. Promo is, and will always remain my hero. A true Hardcore pioneer who shaped the scene in the 90s, and made it his own. He is the true King, the leader, the messiah. Are you questioning my statement? Have you listened to this CD yet? Another CD I do not have. I might go on the hunt online to see if it's out there. Probably not, and there's more chance of snow in Hell to find the collector's edition incl. all the goodies. The CD will do, if it's out there.... • Hardstyle Classics Favourites #1 - JUKKA (2026)

From a very lovely Trance mix to a very lovely Hardstyle mix. The weekend is looking good! Especially when it's an early Hardstyle mix. The mix was made by JUKKA, who I've not encountered before, but after checking the tracklist, which came in the cover image (as above), I knew I had something to look forward to. A mix with most of my favourite early Hardstyle classics. And its very compact: the mix is only 45 minutes long, but JUKKA takes you on a journey, back in time. I do love mixes dedicated to the early sound. It could be Gabber/Hardcore, Techno, Trance, and Hardstyle. I do prefer the earlier sound compared to the present day, as that's the sound I grew up with. The amount of hours I've spent in my life, listening to Hardstyle, cannot be counted. The number would be immense, as I'm now 42, and still listen to the early Hardstyle sound. It won't escape me, and I'm glad, as it certainly brings back a lot of awesome memories. You will know in a split second which my favourite record is in this mix, but truth be told: I do believe it's on many people's list. But JUKKA did select a handful of other amazing records, and crammed them into this wonderful mix, which I've listened to over and over yesterday. If the first instalment is this good, what can we expect in the next instalments? More of this goodness please? Tuneboy & Stephanie - Music Is The Raiders - A Feeling (Tuneboy Remix) DJ Phil Ty - Miami Beach (Polite Mix) Hardstyle Masterz feat Max Enforcer - Light Of The Dark (The Blackout Mix) (JUKKA Edit) Tatanka - Don't Give Up Headhunterz - Just Say My Name Wildstylez - Pleasure Wildstylez - Muzic Or Noize Star Creatorz - Killzone (Hunter Remix) The KGB's - Superdisco (Technoboy Remix) Headhunterz - Forever As One S-Dee - Equipment Headhunterz - Save Your Scrap For Victory w/ Gostosa - Never Say Never (JUKKA Vocal Edit) 2 Best Enemies - Phases (TBY Romantic Mix) Technoboy - Ti Sento A very solid selection. In an instant, I'm thrown back many decades in the past, and I'm this young lad again, dancing the day and night away to these awesome tunes. And as I've said in other reviews, they don't make them like they used to. And even if they try, it never sounds the same. We just have to acknowledge that the early sound remains in the past. JUKKA's mix has got the tracks I wanted to hear. And if this is a taster of more to come, I cannot wait. This first mix is certainly a good one. Come on, how you can you disagree with the records? Granted, you might not have heard JUKKA's own edits (like I haven't), but you know all the tracks, right? And you love them all. If not, why are you reading this? I've loved every second of it, but when it comes toward the end, you know it is going to hit even harder. 'Phases' and 'Ti Sento'. Those are just magnificent records, and they are on another level. Yes, they are classics, but they are heavenly classics. Only a select few have risen to this level, and these two are on there. Out of these two, I would ALWAYS choose 'Ti Sento'. Brilliant record. Worth checking out, this mix. Go and jump on it, and let it dominate your weekend! • Vinyl Trance Sessions - 001 (2026)

The weekend is about to land, but we still have a few hours ahead of us. As long as we stick together, we can get through it. I'm here to assist you through today, and how would I do that? Well, I might have found a perfect Friday mix for you all. Mixed by Sam Garlick, and it's a Trance mix. Need I say more? I probably have got more to say, but we should be focussing on this mix. And also the fact that it's Friday again. Where does the time go? It goes too damn quick. It has also been roughly 3 years since I last reviewed a mix made by Sam Garlick. That's way too long ago. But he's back, with a brand spanking new mix. And the first thing I've noticed, is the awesome cover image for this mix. It reminds me of noughties ID&T albums, which had a similar, very aesthetically pleasing covers. Simple, but effective. Credits for that. You don't need a full on AI generated image, with too much going on. Keep it simple, keep it clean. We certainly need something to boost our energy, after this long and arduous week. Especially after the one I've had. And this mix does bring a smile on my face. It makes me feel young and exuberant again. These are all songs from when I was a young lad, and danced the night away. This is what I played out loud on my speakers, and drove my parents and my neighbours mad. And do I care? Not really. Still don't care. Sam, if you are reading this, there might be issues occurring because of your mix. My current neighbours might have an argument with me, but I put the blame solely on you. It's your mix which makes me increase the volume to the max. Thanks Sam. John Johnson - Impact (Van Bellen Remix) Oliver Lieb - Subraumstimulation (Main Mix) Purple Haze - Adrenaline Holden & Thompson - Nothing (93 Returning Mix) Bullit - Cried To Dream (Max Graham Remix) Neo & Farina - Someone St John vs Locust - Mind Circles Armin van Buuren - Sunburn Ferry Corsten - Indigo Solarstone - Solarcoaster (Midway Remix) Scott Bond vs Solarstone - Naked Angel Randy Katana - Fancy Fair (Fancy Edit) Fred Baker vs Greg Nash - Lunar Eclipse Mandy Reid - Up The Tempo Polaris - Inspect Her Gadget (Ripple Driver Remix) Sandler - Theme Song (Sandler Remix) Nick Lunn & YOMC presents Technopunk - Energize (PVD Edit) Marcos - Just For A Day (Marc Van Linden Remix) Nu Nrg vs Jose Amnesia - Be Right Back Yep, there will be a neighbour fight. Don't know when it is going to happen, but it will happen. How can you listen to this at any volume but max? You have to crank up the volume, especially when one of my favourite songs is playing. A fantastic mix, with some serious Trance anthems. Sam's selection is really great, they all put a smile on my face. A nice, long mix, with amazing tunes. Taking me right back to the good old days. And when Trance ruled the world. Well, not the whole world, technically, but certainly my world. And I'm glad to have lived through those years, and witness the progression of Trance into this wonderful sound so many people love and adore. There are too many great tracks to mention, but I will mention two. They are my favourites in the mix, and can describe my youth. Ground breaking records back then, and have stood the test of time. 'Sunburn', which is my favourite Armin record, and 'Indigo', probably my most favourite Ferry record (he's made a lot of excellent tunes). I keep rewinding these two records, as they both put a huge smile on my face. And they make me want to go back in time. I've got only love and appreciation for this mix. Hopefully this will be a reoccurring mix series, as the first instalment has been a great success. I cannot wait to hear more. But until then, I will push the play button over and over. I feel 20+ years younger again... and more alive than ever! • Tiësto - Live @ TIME 13.12.1997

Look at how long he looks! He looks very young, but truth be told, in 1997 he was 27/28. He looked much younger though, if I'm honest. But he was still a rookie in the scene, but not for long. He was slowly growing, and people started to notice his name and what he could do behind the decks. Not only a DJ but also a producer, and his biggest hits would still come later in life. But in 1997, he was already making waves, and according to the internet, this is the oldest Tiësto set out there. So let's jump on it, and go right back in time! And I could not find any info on where this set took place. Is it a club? Is it an event called 'Time'? I tried searching everywhere, but couldn't find anything. So if you are reading this and have got any additional information, that would be appreciated. But let's now focus on the 'oldest' Tiësto mix in existence. Which, come to think of it, is nearly 30 years ago?! That boggles the mind, it does! Wherever it was recorded and whoever recorded it, I'm glad that you did. This was around the time I started to venture into the Trance scene, and started buying everything from Arcade, Mecado (a massive flop, but had some amazing CDs such as Trance House), and more. I especially remember those top 100 albums, they were always awesome (sadly can't find them online). This was the start of my love for Trance music, and this was the start of Tiësto's career, which would only go up and up and up.... Jake & Jesse - Low Turbulance Fumee - Ultra Light (Verte) Lock - Into The Sun BBG feat Erin - Just Be Tonight (Disco Citizens Mix) The Voyager - Back To Earth (Extended Club Mix) Cascade - Transcend The Subjective - Tremmer Silent Breed - Sync In Bamboo Lounge - Clone Nighthunter - Altar (Club Mix) Qattara - The Truth (Cousfat Mix) Viper 2 - Titty Twister This is a really wonderful set. Unfortunately it's not a very long set, but however long it might be, it does pack a punch. Tiësto did what he did best, and the result is a wicked set, with some more obscure and forgotten tracks in it. Even I had to blink twice, after seeing the tracklist. How could I forget these gorgeous anthems? Even toward the end of 1997, Tiësto knew which record would work on the dancefloor. All these records are immense, and even though you can hear the audience scream throughout the set (sounds kind of small and empty, in my honest opinion), I would have loved to have been there, experience such a set with these records coming at me through the speakers. They are all dope as fuck! Two records stood out compared to the rest. 'Sync In', and of course the wonderful 'Back To Earth'. Both not heard in a while, and in an instant, they took me back to 1997. Glorious anthems. If you want to experience late 90s Trance, you definitely have to listen to these two tracks. Earliest Tiësto set out there. Already loved by those who have listened to it on Soundcloud. And I'm now one of them. A huge fan of him back in the day, and each set, CD or anything Tiësto related, it will always bring a smile on my face. More of these please! • 10 Year Anniversary - NL to UK

The 1st of March is a special date to me. Especially in the year we live in, 2026. As it's been 10 years since I make the journey from my home country, the Netherlands, to live with my wife, in the United Kingdom. The journey itself wasn't long, and as I've been coming to the country since 2001/2002, I know my way around. But it is a symbolic journey, as I left my friends, family, and work behind. Everything I build from the ground up (which accumulates to nearly nothing), I had to do it again, but this time, in a different country. And I got in just before Brexit happened.... Let's step back in time, shall we? We go back to the early years of the new Millennium. My dad, who is a supervisor at a roller coaster company, worked at Fantasy Island in Skegness. He talked to a few managers, and heard that they were looking for people to work at the park during the Summer holiday. Dad came back home (Heerlen, the Netherlands), and told me that they were searching for people. I went 'hell yeah', and booked a trip to the UK. I spent two Summers at Fantasy Island, and I still cherish those moments. I think I spent my birthdays there too, and got absolutely slaughtered/hammered. And many more memories were made, but I'll keep them to myself, as not everything can be shared through the internet.... My love for the UK started then and there. I fell in love with the culture, the people, the food, and everything else. And back home, I would watch more and more British TV shows and films, and one of those shows was called 'Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps, Please'. It was on Comedy Central (in the Netherlands), and I basically saw Sheridan Smith, and fell in love. Wouldn't you agree? A young lad like myself, single, ready to mingle? Yeah, me neither. But you can still hope and dream, and maybe one day. That day never arrived, but what could have been? Searching for more information on the trusted Google, I found a little 'fanclub' with some dedicated and die-hard fans of the show. I decided to join, and started chatting away with all these lovely people. Remember, these are the mid to late noughties, and this was considered normal. No bad blood, no harm, just fans of the show talking about each episode. And I felt comfortable with them. They probably felt the same, as they invited me to come over for a 2 Pints themed BBQ somewhere (I've forgotten the name of the place), and to then go and see the locations in Runcorn. Nothing lost, nothing gained: I made the journey to the UK and had a wonderful time. I met the people from the forum, and was pleasantly surprised that they weren't murderers or trying to steal my credit card (as the news would have you believe). They were passionate about the show, and so was I. I then decided to, at a later stage, to come over and stay in a hotel somewhere (again, my memory has gone blank) and go and see a recording. Not a common thing here in the Netherlands, but I thought it was cool. I came over, stood outside the old BBC building with those from the forum, and one young lady stood there, with her mum, and she fell in love (that's what she says, not me!). Her name? Hayley. My future wife. I do think we also went to the pub after, where Sheridan actually gave me a kiss, but again, different times... We went to a charity football match, and people who know me, know I genuinely despise football with a passion. But it was for free, and my friend Bryan took me and Hayley and Laura (another member of the forum). After the match, we met Ralf Little and even Danny Dyer, and the end of the day was near. But before Hayley got dropped off at her house and we drove off, she asked me (or told me) to add her on MSN, so we can chat. That was a memorable day, as it changed our lives. We started talking, and remained in touch throughout the following months. We then decided to meet up again, me coming over to the UK, and that day we 'sealed the deal'. We basically got together and never left each other ever since. I don't think I even asked her if she wanted to be my girlfriend. She just was (and still is). Before this story gets boring, I'm making sure I'll keep the relevant bits in it. We continued through the wonderful world of MSN, stayed online for hours on end, and even decided to continue on BBM (that was Blackberry's own messaging service). The amount of credit I've spent, is insane! (I did not have a contract, all prepaid). But I felt something. This girl was special. What we have is special. And we need to make it work. But it was difficult, living in different countries, having shit working hours (I used to work at a Total service station for 16 years). I tried for many years, sent out hundreds of applications, but none willing enough to even respond. I had a few responses and interviews, and even made the journey over for that interview, only to go back the same day, and continue on the nightshift straight after. Times were different. I kept on applying for any job, and was even willing to work for a company who's sole purpose was to sell animal food. I lied during the interview, stating I loved animals, which I do, but I'm not a animal lover. I love animals if they are owned by others, but I would never have one. Christ, I had so many fish when I was younger, and they all perished (fish don't swim well in Red Bull). I felt devastated, no one was willing to hire me. And I would not want to leave the comfort of my home with no job in sight. And I continued looking, until I found a job, to work at a car manufacturer's warranty department, in Luton. I was so lucky to have been given an interview, and it went all online, so that was an added bonus (no need to travel). The woman who asked me all these technical questions even shared some images of car parts, and asked me what they were. I had no clue, as I'm not a technician, nor could I see it properly, so she just signed it off as 'passed'. Months after I got hired, I was told that due to misinformation, they hired me, as they thought I had worked at a dealership, but we call petrol stations service stations. But it turned out, I was actually good at the job. I moved over in 2016, on the 1st of March. Stopped all my payments and everything else (including rent), and rented a van for a few days, and chucked everything I had, in there. My dad joined me on this adventure, and the destination was North London, Southgate. I moved in with my wife, her mother, and her gran. Interesting times, to say the least. I was used to live on my own, have my own routine, and if I wanted to walk around butt naked, I could. But not anymore. I lived in a house with three women. It was a blessing in disguise. I left my country, and moved into the country I always loved and adored. North London was amazing to me and my wife, and we've created many memories there. Working for the manufacturer was also amazing, even though they paid me little to nothing, I still made friends, and learned the trade, which came in handy later in life. But my health deteriorated, and my GP send me to the hospital to have my body checked. 50+ scans, ranging from the benign to the big boys, and it was only after the 51st scan at a different hospital, that my kidney had to be removed. At this stage I moved from one car brand to the next, as the one I worked for, moved country (Budapest or Bucharest, I can never remember). I didn't want to move with them, as I just made the move to the UK. So I jumped ship. I was still in my probation, but they were kind enough to let me have my surgery, and determined as I was, the following week I was working from home, still recovering, but working. Life continued as normal, and we've spend many hours down the local pub, eating beer battered onion rings, and having the time of our lives. We were together, not separate anymore. And it was about time we tied the knot. We had to. Together since 2009 (met in 2008), so we decided to pick a date, and set it all in motion. But a little virus was going to put a downer on not just us, but the whole freaking world. The virus' name? COVID-19. Obviously, we had to postpone the wedding, and we were not blessed to be furloughed. We were still working for the duration of COVID-19, but we were happy. Together, at home, side by side. But it aso gave us the opportunity to save up for our own place. The deposit came in handy, and we managed to put together a nice fund for our future home, wherever that would be. But the wedding happened first. Family and friends came over, and we had a wonderful time at the Holiday Inn in Hemel Hempstead. But we were ready for the next chapter in our lives, and we went hunting for our own place. And we visited a few houses, but nothing really appealed. One evening, I went through my junk folder, and saw this email, and it was a new build in Stewartby. I clicked on it, and got asked to meet the people behind it all. On the day we met, they asked us to put a deposit down, otherwise it would have been sold. We did, and now we had to wait. Our house was still to be build, but it was going to be a new home, not a second hand one, not used. A new one. We moved in, in 2022, and we finally had our own place. New memories to be made. A bit further out of London (where the wife works) and Epsom (where I work), but it was going to be so damn good. The house was decorated the way we wanted, and we had some amazing parties here. Even to this day do we have parties, and get absolutely hammered. That's who we are. I found a job near where I live, literally 10 minutes driving, and decided to give it a go. Unfortunately it wasn't for me, an after a year and a bit, I went back to the previous employer, who welcomed me with open arms. So far, I've worked for three car manufacturer's, and all by a mistake, or some misunderstanding of the meaning 'service station'. I am so glad that this happened. Where would I have been without that first initial job? I moved in 2016, just before Brexit happened. Obviously Brexit ain't pleasant, and whatever you voted for, i couldn't car less, as we are entitled to have our own opinions. But for those who emigrated from another country, it was hard to prove our willingness to contribute to the UK society. I did, and was given the permanent status (I am not leaving at all!). This obviously took a few years, but once I received the document, I knew: the UK is the place I'm living in, and will die in. I am not going back to the Netherlands, ever again. I've met so many people over the years, Created so many great memories. And it has only been 10 years. Not many people will actually care, as their lives are also important. But this milestone for me, is certainly important. From being too nervous and not knowing if I would ever be in the country with the love of my life, to now never wanting to leave. I've now spent 25% of my life in a different country. It feels weird to state, but it is the truth. Would I recommend it to anyone? Well, if you do it because of a romantic reason, I would say yes. Always follow your heart. Back in the early days, Skegness/Ingoldmells stole my heart, and has given it back to me the second I came back. And I feel blessed. For all those I met on this journey which took 10 years, hello. For all those I will meet in the next decade, hello to you too! And for those we have lost over the years, we will meet again. I hope this blog kept it interesting for you to read until the end. I've missed so many great memories, but at least you get the gist of the 10 years+. The UK has always been special to me, and will remain my home until my last breath. Which isn't to happen for at least another 60 years. If you are planning on moving to the UK to follow your heart, please make sure you read up on all the information available. After Brexit, a lot of rules have changed, and it isn't as 'easy' as it was. It is certainly more challenging and difficult to make the crossing. But determination can create momentum, and once moving, there's no way of stopping you! It didn't stop me, and look where I'm at? Fun side note to finish this blog with: I came over to Fantasy Island because of my dad being a supervisor (and he made both the Millennium coaster and the Odyssey), and now, less than 10 minutes walking, there will be a Universal theme park in 5 years time. What a coincidence, right? I'd be too old to work as a ride operator, but one can only dream??

  • Scott Brown's Evolution Records (2026)

It is Monday, and it's going to be a very long day. Especially after I've been on the socials and have seen posts of people who have been to HTID - The Homecoming. Gutted I didn't get a ticket and rave my arse off, but seeing the responses online, it sounded like it was a great party. And one of the main acts at this event was the legendary DJ Scott Brown. And if I'm being honest, how can you have a UK Hardcore party and not have this mighty DJ perform? It wouldn't make any sense. Scott Brown is UK Hardcore, and I'm gutted to have missed HTID. But at least I've got my trusted Soundcloud, which has got thousands of mixes dedicated to Scott Brown. One of the more recent ones was made by DJ Adrenalin, and it is roughly an hour and a half, all goodies which were released on Scott Brown's own label, Evolution Records. And I'm a massive Scott Brown fan, so I've jumped straight on it, and haven't stopped listening to it. This label has produced so many great records, which have become timeless classics. And everyone would agree with me that Scott is probably the greatest UK Hardcore producer of all time. To me, and that's just my personal view, Scott has got to be the best producer out there. He's truly great in making melodic UK Hardcore anthems. He's got the gift of making tracks sound so melodic, and the melodies remain in your head for hours, if not days. He's a gifted producer, who keeps on pushing the boundaries, and he is keeping us raving until we are 80+. That all depends on your physical state, of course. But if you are still able to rave, Scott will keep you on your toes. Adrenalin's mix is a good one, and you are now curious to find out which records were used, right? Scott Brown & Marc Smith - Hardcore U Know Scott Brown - Blue Room (Kev Willow Remix) Interstate - Move Your Body Scott Brown - How Many Sukkas (Plus System Remix) Scott Brown & Marc Smith - Juggernaut Scott Brown - Do It Like We Do It (Scott Brown Remix) Plus System - Commence (Jonny EL Mix) Interstate - Lift Scott Brown - Make You Freak (Scott Brown Remix) Scott Brown - Rock That Body Scott Brown vs DJ Rab S - Now Is The Time (Scott Brown's 96 Remix) Scott Brown - Detonated (Scott Brown 2005 Remix) Plus System - Please Don't Cry Scott Brown - Memories (Plus System Remix) Scott Brown - I'm In Heaven Scott Brown & DMO - Fade Away Scott Brown - Heaven In Your Eyes Scott Brown - Johnny Scott Brown - Viroid (Nu Foundation Remix/Q-Tex Mix Up) Scott Brown - Sensation Brisk & Scott Brown - Back & Forth (Original Mix) Amazing. This takes me back to the good ol' days. Scott Brown is just one amazing producer who had the ability to capture what the scene needed back in the day, and came out the gate storming. The amount of records he released over the years, and the amount which remained most ravers 'all time favourite' records is immense. You cannot discuss UK Hardcore with a fellow raver and NOT mention a Scott Brown record. You simply cannot. This has got some amazing records, and they are truly amazing. There's not a raver alive who doesn't love these tunes, and does not go bonkers whenever they hear them. Scott's records are always hitting the spot, and making us rave even harder. He's a true icon. OK, now the less interesting part of the review. Not a fan of 'Johnny' or 'Do It Like We Do It'. Those are the two records I've not liked since day one, and I found a certain hatred for the Bloodhound Gang song. Boy, I hate the original, and I truly dislike the vocals. But, on the plus side, only two out of twenty-one records. That's an achievement. And of course did Adrenalin play the big hits. The big dancefloor smashers, the hits which became timeless classics. And normally I would go for anything similar to 'Make You Freak' or 'Blue Room', but in this mix, the record which stood out the most, was 'Move Your Body'. Now, that's a banger! A solid mix with some minor errors. Nothing to worry about. In the end, anything Scott Brown related wil be devoured by the raving community. Bring on more of these mixes. • Trance Classics (Guest Mix for TAMMAC) 18.02.2026

Saturday, the day of rest. And today is such a day. Not doing much, but the standard chores and Playstation time. And in the background some excellent music playing. Today's mix comes from the channel Legacy Trance on Soundcloud, and it's a 68 minute long mix, with some interesting Trance anthems. It was actually a guest mix for another channel called TAMMAC, which I've not heard of before, but I will give a follow today. Anything Trance related brings a smile on my face, and this mix is certainly a good one. It takes me back to the wonderful years of Trance, when it absolutely dominated my life. If anything can bring a smile on my face, it's great music. And once you press play and you hear the first song in this mix, you know you are about to listen to a great mix. And I'm not lying: go to the player underneath this mix, and check it out for yourself. Am I lying? No, I certainly am not! I grew up with mostly Millennium Trance in my life, and when I saw the tracklist, and spotted the names of the artists, I knew the mix was going to be awesome. Rank 1, Cosmic Gate, Signum, Sander van Doorn, Mauro Picotto and more? Sweet baby Jesus, that takes me back immediately! To me, I call it the 'ID&T Trance years', and these songs were on so many of their compilations, and played at their events. And I was a massive ID&T fanboy, that's for sure. And Trance was just better back then. Am I lying? I am preaching! Mauro Picotto - Lizard (Tall Paul Remix) Sander van Doorn - Riff Cosmic Gate - Fire Wire JamX & De Leon - Can U Dig It? Rank 1 - It's Up To You (Symsonic) (Instrumental Dub) Signum - Second Wave Brisky - Celestial (Original Mix) Nu NRG - Last Experience (Digital Nature Remix) Magenta - Twisted Spirit Saltwater - The Legacy (Alphazone Remix) I am a massive fan, and this takes me back. When my love for Trance music peaked, it was when these artists dominated the dance scene. You could not escape these tracks, as they were everywhere, and it has only left them permanently attached to me, and imprinted in my head for life. And you know what, I am happy that I'm alive and grew up with these songs. They are fabulous! The DJ who made this mix, has made a mix so good, and close to my heart. You might not have grown up with these songs, or this era of Trance music (you might have grown up with early 90s Trance, or current day Trance), but I did, and I'm so glad to have heard these songs played at the many events I've visited over the years. They are so damn good! And to find them in one mix, is always a bliss. I know each track, and have adored them since the first time I heard them. It is tricky to pick a favourite, as they are all excellent, but maybe 'Second Wave' by Signum can be considered my favourite, as it's a no-nonsense all time favourite Trance anthem to many, including yours truly. Another epic mix on an epic channel. Worth your time, go and check them out. Expect more of this awesomeness. Bring on Trance, and more of these excellent tunes. • Tiësto Live @ Dance Valley 02-08-2003

Who remembers Dance Valley? I certainly do, even though I've never been to one. It was always on my list, but it never came to fruition. It remains a wish to this day, even though the line-up doesn't appeal to me anymore. Maybe the early years were more my cup of tea, especially the years surrounding the Millennium. What I did do, was buy all the Dance Valley albums over the years, and listen to the livesets, which were broadcasted on Dutch radio. And one set I've found only a few days ago, did remind me of the glorious days of old. Sitting at home, listening to the radio, and recording sets on cassettes. Dancing in silence and with a massive headphone on, as we couldn't wake up mom and dad, who were asleep upstairs. I recorded a lot of sets, but unfortunately, time has not been pleasant to my cassettes. But I remember it like it was only yesterday, but deep down inside, you know it's 20 to 25 years ago. Not yesterday. I'm getting too damn old. Tiësto is obviously a legend, and his sets were extraordinary. Not a fan of his current stuff, but more of his late 90s to late 00s. Basically when he ruled the world. From this small DJ to a world wide phenomena, that was Tiësto. He changed the rules for all of us, and gave us countless sets, and the one you are about to listen to, was recorded at Dance Valley in 2003. I do remember hearing this set on Yorin FM (which used to be Veronica Radio back in the day), and hearing those horrendous bits every 5-10 minutes, reminding us who we were listening to, on which radio station. ''Fun'' times... (not really). Kay D. Smith & Marc Tall presents Passive Resistance - Praiseworthy Tunes (Hoipolloi Remix) Randy Katana - Fancy Fair Ton TB - Electronic Malfunction Cern - The Message (Northern Mix) Igor S - Boomerang (Igor S Remix) Tiësto - Flight 643 Ricky Fobis - No Regular William Orbit - Barbers Adagio For Strings (Tiësto Remix) Armani & Ghost - Airport A very short tracklist, but a very solid one. The set itself is only 45 minutes long, so I'm guessing it's not the full set (which is a pity). I can't remember how long the set was, but guessing that it was 2003, they must have done at least an hour set. Can't have the biggest DJ in the world do a 45 minute set, that's just ridiculous. Whoever took this recording, took it from the live broadcasting on Yorin FM. And you are reminded every so often who you are listening to and on which station. That's annoying AF. It ruins the atmosphere. And what also ruins the atmosphere, is the MC. Really not needed, kind of unnecessary, if you ask me. But the tracks in this set, they are golden. The golden years of Trance music, especially when it was this experimental. Even Tiësto went all out, and when needed, went a bit darker and rougher. But he always played the best tunes which were available at the time, and in this set, it has to be ''Electronic Malfunction'', one of the greatest songs of all time. A true Trance classic, one that goes on forever, and I wish it would continue for even longer, as it's an astonishing record. The radio recording ruins it slightly and the MC, but besides that, it's a solid set. And did the record skip during his 'Flight 643', or was it just poor recording? Who knows, eh? Take me back to 2003. The music was 10 times better, and non replaceable. The best. Just listen to this set. And if you want to go back to 2003 too, join the queue. • Thumpa pres. Dance Or Die! Vol 3 (1997 / 1998 Thunderdome Anthems) (2026)

It's Monday already. Where has the weekend gone? Truly astonishing how quickly time goes, especially when you are getting older and older. Valentines day only feels like yesterday, but it's now 2 days ago. Regardless, I hope you had a wonderful weekend, and that you were spoiled and you spoiled the one you love. And now, back to reality, and something I truly love. Hardcore music. It might not be your cup of tea, but it is certainly mine. But I do take mine with sweetener (maybe that's why I love Happy Hardcore?). DJ Thumpa started uploading some brand spanking new mixes, all dedicated to Thunderdome. There are now four mixes in this series, and they are gorgeous, to start with. I love the fact that the images he has used for each mix, use a distinctive look from a Thunderdome album from back in the day. The one you are about to listen to, shows Thunderdome 16, 17, and 20. They were great albums, but the decline was slowly visible. Obviously the earlier albums were better, but there were some hidden gems on these later Thunderdome albums. I did buy most of the Thunderdome CDs, and have listened to them ferociously. The 90s were my years, and during those years, I've driven many people mad with my obsession for Hardcore. And probably caused some ear damage by playing it out loud. Maybe too loud? Who knows. But how else can you enjoy Hardcore music? Not at minimum level, this needs to be played out loud. I could have picked any of the four mixes, but I've chosen this one, as the tracklist did something to me. Made me feel a bit excited inside. And that's what you want, right? Mister DJ - Completely Fucked Up (2nd Approach) DJ Sim - Simbiosis Cixx vs The Vinyl Junk - The Tough Guys Miss Flower - Mr. Randall Urban Menace - Phenomena Hardcore Brothers - Smoke Motherfuckers Rotterdam Terror Corps - We're Gonna Blow Your Mind The Masochist - No Newstyle? (DJ Buzz Fuzz Mix) Pino D'Ambini - Up & Down Ballz DJ Isaac - Another Dream Bodylotion - No Worries Leviathan - Yes, No Myztic vs Myrmidon - Pop Goes Da Pistol Buzz Fuzz - Frequencies Da Mindcrusher - Mindcrushing Scumbag - Hit The Crowd Buzz Fuzz - Fuck Happy (Its Bullshit!) 3 Steps Ahead - Money In My Pocket Shadowlands Terrorists - Shadowlands Anthem Bodylotion - Happy Is Voor Hobo's 3 Steps Ahead - Thunderscream (Thunder Anthem) Wow. I feel 25 years younger again. Or a bit more. Some of these songs are older than 25 years, and it makes me feel fucking old. Christ. Thanks Thumpa, for making me feel old. Old, but rejuvenated. This brings all my happy thoughts to the surface, and even though not many people around me share the same feelings regarding Hardcore from the 90s, as long as my inner self is happy and content. And I'm certainly content with everything after listening to this mix. It's a nice selection of records. A few lesser tracks, but hey ho, can't please everybody. But it has got the tracks in it which made me listen to Hardcore at max volume. 'Yes, No' is one of them. An underrated 90s gem. But the ones which makes me feel something, are definitely 'Tough Guys' and 'Simbiosis'. The bass on both tracks, it is just insane. I can make our whole house tremble with these two songs. Haven't played it in the car yet, but I reckon the speakers will be damaged, my eardrums too, and the windows will be shattered. A very pleasant mix to listen to. If these two years aren't your cup of tea, have a browse through the other 3 mixes on Thumpa's Soundcloud channel. Worth a listen to. Bring back the 90s Hardcore! Hardcore will never, ever, die. That's for sure! We all might age, but Hardcore never does, nor will it ever. Timeless music. • A State Of Trance Year Mix 2005 - Mixed By Armin van Buuren

The year is 2005, and I'm still living in the Netherlands. And I'm a massive music freak. My life changed during the early 90s, but during the 00s did my music collection grow in size. I got a steady job and made a decent wage, and my money was spent in my local CD store. Back in the day we had three in Heerlen, Limburg. It would either be a Van Leest CD store, a Free Record Store (but the records were never free, the bastards!) or the one that still remains, Satisfaction Records. Boy, did they make enough money out of me. Not sure in which store I found this CD, but it was one of these three. Hell, it could have even been at a petrol station (we did sell CDs back in the day, wasn't very successful). But regardless where I purchase this, it has remained in my head ever since. One of those Trance albums I've listened to ferociously over the years. And even though my perception on megamixes has changed over the years, in 2005 I was all over this. 82 records on two CDs. Couldn't go wrong, right? And it was mixed by Armin van Buuren. Anything Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, or Armin van Buuren was bought by myself. And even though I've heard of Armin before, this was my first CD. And what a glorious introduction into the 'A State Of Trance' world. I've not stopped listening to this since the day I purchased it, as the songs are so damn good. 2005 was a great year for Trance music, that's for sure. Remember, back in the 90s, megamixes were everywhere, and my views on them were great. Why hear a song which takes 7 minutes, when I can enjoy the highlights in 40 seconds? My view has changed over the years, and I'd rather listen to a full on extended song instead of a megamix. But I was still young and inexperienced. I'm now old, and inexperienced. And don't really know what I'm talking about. CD 1 Intro - What The Bleep Do We Know? What a wonderful megamix, and the tracks are insanely good. As said before, 2005 was a great year, and this shows why. Armin has selected an insane amount of records, mixed them all together, and voila: a State Of Trance Year Mix. The first of many. Obviously as a young lad, I would devour this, and thought megamixes were the dogs bollocks. Now I'm 21 years older and a tad wiser, and I still love megamixes, but I have to acknowledge that some snippets of songs weren't long enough. It makes me crave for more, I want to hear the full version of the song. So guess what I'll be doing after this review? That's right, listen to all of these, full versions only. It's a solid mix, and I truly admired it. Obviously now comes the time which is the most critical moment of the whole review: favourite record. And to make it slightly easier for me, I have split it into two: one from each disc. So let's start with the first one. Primer with 'Everlast'. Big anthem. Simple answer. But now the second disc. And I have to give it to one of my all time favourite Trance anthems, which is 'Close Horizon' by Thomas Bronzwaer. Fucking epic track, and not many tracks come close to the beauty that is this record. Only a handful of Armin van Buuren's CDs would follow, but this would remain my favourite CD of his. And one of 2005's finest CDs. If you are ASOT fan, which year mix is your favourite, and why? And if you owned this specific edition (the 2005 edition), which tracks were your favourite ones, and why? Leave a comment below! Can't go back in time, mankind isn't yet clever enough to figure that out. But at least we've got physical and digital versions of great CDs, which immediately takes us back to the long lost years! • Alex Threat's Valentine's Mixtape '26

Valentine's Day is tomorrow. The 14th of February. Millions of people have gone all out, and posted cards, booked a romantic dinner, or just bought each other presents. It's a romantic day, and I don't even know the true meaning behind it. Why the 14th of February? And why is it after the most depressing day so far of the year, Friday the 13th? Ah well, tomorrow it's all about love, and who you appreciate the most. You could share the love with whoever you love, and it doesn't need to be a partner. It could be a family member, a friend, or even an animal. Love, according to Love Actually, is all around. It certainly is. And the most love I have, is obviously for my wife. 17+ years together, many more years to come. But second to my wife, is music. She knows it, and she's cool with it. And even though I normally don't listen to lyrics (I'm an individual who just 'feels' the music), I thought I'd give Alex Threat's latest mix a go. It's a yearly thing, this Valentine's day mix. And I do believe I've heard most of his before. A pleasant surprise, and maybe a wake up call to a few out there: you need to get your loved one a nice present. You've got a few hours, and your local service station will sell a nice box of chocolates, and/or flowers. This mix contains records which you might consider to be romantic UK Hardcore tracks. The theme is love, in a wide range of emotions which are part of love (love can also go into other emotions). But they are all banging UKHC anthems, which could go down well on Valentine's day. Unless your loved one doesn't love UKHC, which my wife doesn't. This mix is unfortunately to no avail for her, and she will not appreciate it. Fuck it, as long as I appreciate it, and I certainly do! JTS & Technikore feat Lisa Marie - Only One Dougal & Gammer - Fires In The Sky (Fracus & Darwin Remix) JDM feat Marie Louise - Love Everlasting (Gisbo Remix) Helix - U R Everything (Klubfiller & Miss Special K Remix) Ramos, Supreme & MOB feat Mandy - Catch You (Re-Con Remix) RedMoon feat Meron Ryan - Never Let Go (Fracus & Darwin Remix) Dougal & Gammer feat Jenna - All The Tears I've Cried (JB-C Remix) Lethal Theory - Dirty Talk (Powerstomp Remix) Squad-E vs Dougal & Gammer - You U Eye I Michael Mansion - Another Notch (Dy5on Remix) Robbie-S & Ajaay vs Webbe - Satellite Kirsten Joy - Only Your Love (Re-Con & Unknown Remix) Beat Commander - Make You Mine (Supreme, UFO & MOB Remix) Styles & Breeze - You're Shining (Squad-E Remix) Darbo - Futuristic Lover Darren Styles & Francis Hill - Come Running Chris Unknown & Technikore - Let Me Go Nocturnal By Nature - 0800 Heaven Dougal & Gammer vs Hixxy - Dark Skies Darren Hotchkiss & Stu Infinity - Last Goodbye (Squad-E Remix) What a lovely tracklist. All of these records work well throughout the year on their own, but put into one mix, and released just before Valentine's day, that just makes it even better. A very romantic mix. And they are all dancefloor anthems. They make the dancefloor tremble, and maybe even some beds? The songs are all beautiful. Those vocal UK Hardcore songs just do it for me. Alex has picked yet another 20 amazing songs, including a few classics, and a few new ones I've not heard before. It's a very pleasant mix, and makes my dark heart actually feel something. He's made a stunning mix. A few small mixing errors, and I feel that sometimes the recording quality/volume is a bit down, but that's minor compared to the actual mix. I have to share the love, and I do appreciate this mix a lot. And certainly the tracks selected. There are a few, and I cannot choose a favourite out of these following records: ''Catch You'', ''Last Goodbye'', ''Never Let Go'', and ''All The Tears I've Cried''. They are magnificent records, that's for sure. If you haven't got anything for your partner, but your partner loves UK Hardcore, why not put this one on. Free, and it might get rid of any tension in the household (expecting gifts etc). This can be considered a gift to many, certainly to me. A wonderful mix with smashing records! Happy Valentine's day! • The Prodigy Experience 27th Anniversary Megamix (2019)

The Prodigy. A group well known, and much loved, all over the world. They are known everywhere around this massive globe, and they've been pushing boundaries since the early 90s. Their first album, released in 1992, was such a successful and ground-breaking album, it caught everyone by surprise. It is still loved and appreciated by so many, it is unbelievable to think that this album was released 34 years ago?! And even though it is 34 years old, it is still a fresh and exciting album. And of course I had to review this megamix, I simply had to. I am a fan of The Prodigy. And I'm not the only one. There are millions of us, all over the globe. But we all have our own opinions, which I truly admire. But in my honest opinion, their first album is certainly the best, closely followed by 'Music For The Jilted Generation'. And 'The Fat Of The Land' as third. The albums that followed, are OK, but they are not on the same level as the first three albums. Nothing can top the Prodigy's legendary 90s sound. How they shaped the rave scene, is beyond belief. They've been so influential to us all, and have given the raving community so many hours of music. And not only is their music something to look forward to, but also their live sets. Sold out so damn quick, but for good reasons. Dave Junglist decided to create a megamix, back in 2019, and all the tracks he used, are from the mighty 'Experience' album. It is such a wicked album, still one of the most played albums in my life. Top quality songs, and pushing so many boundaries of what we were capable of doing, back in 1992. The only thing he did, was rearrange the songs in the order suitable for this mix, and turn them all into one megamix. Don't let the ''27th anniversary'' alarm you, as this mix is 7 years old. The album is actually 34 years old now. Time does fly when you are having fun. We might age, but this album never has, nor will it ever age. It ages like fine wine (I believe, I'm not a wine drinker!) The Prodigy - Weather Experience The Prodigy - Jericho The Prodigy - Fire (Sunrise Version) The Prodigy - Music Reach (1/2/3/4) The Prodigy - Charly (Trip Into Drum And Bass Version) The Prodigy - Wind It Up The Prodigy - Out Of Space The Prodigy - Your Love (Remix) The Prodigy - Hyper Speed (G Force Pt. II) The Prodigy - Ruff In The Jungle Bizniz The Prodigy - Everybody In The Place (155 & Rising) The Prodigy - Death Of The Prodigy Dancer (Live) This still gives me goose bumps. What a fantastic album. I do believe that this album is a timeless masterpiece, and many would agree. Rave music's finest album, or at least one of them. The Prodigy gave us this album, and then tore us a new hole with their live performances. They are causing ear damage since 1992, that's for sure. Dave Junglist's mix is a very pleasant one to listen to on this Monday. We need something raw and rough to get us through the week ahead. But not raw, rough and unpleasant at the same time. On the contrary. This is a very pleasant listening experience. But an experience, nonetheless. All 12 records are amazing Maybe 'Weather Experience' the least appreciated one, but a highly praised one by yours truly. 8 minutes and 6 seconds long, but boy, does it take you on a journey. A beautiful masterpiece. A thought provoking record. Without words, it can make you feel a tad emotional, and you need to tap into those emotions. This is such a beautiful record. Slow and steady, always wins the race. The mix has got some minor errors. Nothing to worry about, but I thought I'd let you know. This mix reminds me: I should blow off the cobwebs of the album, and listen to it again. Or stream it somewhere. Time to relive the 90s again, and rave like never before. A true definitive album, one that defines rave. Youngsters might not know of this album, but the 'older' generation will do. The jilted generation, if you like.... • Promo | Thunderdome 2024 | Omega

A true Hardcore fan will know Thunderdome, and will also know the legendary location in Antwerp, called 'Sportpaleis Antwerpen'. It has held some amazing events back in the day, and for the die-hard fanatic, we've all devoured Thunderdome - Global Hardcore Nation, the actual live CD. Or is that just me? They've had some amazing events over the years, and last year, they had the honour of having Thunderdome, stretched over two days: Omega and Alpha. And the Omega side was solely focussed on the early stuff, which is my cup of tea. Alpha was more focussed on the 'newer' stuff, but give me Omega all day, every day! Franky Jones, Rob & MC Joe, Critical Mass, Buzz Fuzz, Leviathan, Panic & The Viper, Marc Acardipane, Ruffneck, Bass-D, Neophyte & Tha Playah, Ophidian, Lenny Dee, The Darkraver, and of course the main man, DJ Promo. A huge fan from the early days, I cannot resist seeing anything Promo related on Soundcloud or YouTube. And I'm blessed to have his Thunderdome 2024 set on both platforms. To return to such a magical place must have been amazing. I am jealous of those who witnessed either Omega or Alpha sets. Tickets sell out quicker than ever before. But that's for good reasons. Thunderdome is just dope AF. And they've been pushing the boundaries since day one. I do appreciate they give new artists a platform to perform their skills on, but I am one of those fans who reverts back to the 90s, when all these artists dominated my life. And of course the Hardcore scene. And Promo has been a top notch DJ and producer since day one. Obvious choice to have him perform. What did he play? Well, only the best! Bountyhunter - Whoops w/ Jones & Stephenson - The First Rebirth (Mashup) Promo - The First Rebirth Promo & X-Ess - Vicious Circle Promo - King Of Pain The Masochist - Killing Scum (Promo Meets Shaolin Mix) Catscan - The Agency Promo - Patterns In Chaos Hardcore Borthers - Lost Minds Promo - Among The Best G-Shock - Demons (Promo Remix) Promo - I Come Correct Promo feat Digital Boy - Serious Damage Promo - Airwalker (OMI Remix) Promo - Phreak Ya Speaka (N-Vitral Re-Phreak) Promo - Cold As Stone Promo - Falling In Love (With Music) (Gabber Mix) Promo - Cheating Bitch Promo - Wayz Of The Underground Promo feat Brian Acardy - Beat Ya Brain Again Promo - Shut Up! What a fantastic set. He always delivers, never disappoints. Promo is always the king, not just of pain, but of Hardcore. Come on, name me one individual who had this much success with at least 95% of their back catalogue, and whose tracks can be considered classics. Not many come close. Promo is ahead of them all, by a mile. He's the obvious choice to have a set at Thunderdome. Only a few days ago did I review his and Catscan's opening set at last year's Thunderdome, which was an epic set, but this one is even better. More Promo, the better. The tracks are solid as a rock. Not so much 'Airwalker', but the same logic applies here: it might have been because Thunderdome took place near Christmas. But it's not Promo's best song. But that's the only negative when it comes to Promo. The biggest negative, is the MC. Holy Christ, is he annoying. I still wonder why we have MCs just blurting out lines when no one needs them. A set like this one does not need any MCs: the crowd knows the songs, as they are all made by a legend himself. And the MC just ruins it a lot. Shouting ''DJ Promo'' does not help: everyone knows who's behind the decks. Can we just stop having MCs? They are as useless as toe fungus. Sorry for the short rant, but MCs aren't needed. You only need DJ Promo and his awesome back catalogue. And big ass speakers. Nothing more, nothing less. Oh, and of course wicked lights. Stroboscopes. But you know what I'm saying. I'm going out on a limb here, and I'm going to give 'Demons' the title of best record in this set. Pure banger, no nonsense. Promo's filthiest record (in this set). I truly love it. Can't give it 5 out of 5. The MC is just boring AF. • Chronicles of Progression Ep 3 (2025)

A few months ago, I discovered a new channel on Soundcloud, and it is run by someone who goes by the name Perky. Immediately my brain went there. The Pinky and Perky show. Granted, I'm guessing the name isn't based upon the TV show, but my mind went there. Where the TV show was dull and boring, this channel certainly isn't. I've jumped straight into the second instalment of his 'Chronicles Of Progression', and I've been hooked ever since. The second one got a review, and now it's time for the third one. I don't know what it is, but it seems that this year, so far, has all been about progressive House music. I've always been a fan, and I've listened to many mixes over the years, but I've been repeatedly been listening to Perky's mix (and others too). I just love to be extremely chilled, and when I am, my brain just goes places. And with this third instalment, he took it to the next level. A level I've not encountered before. I do seem to love these mixes. It kind of reminds me of Rigur Lárus and his chilled mixes (which you should also check out). Nice and very chilled: no days goes by without me going back to the third mix in this series. I could be stuck on the M25 or M1 (which are highways in the U.K., for those that don't know), or I need to do a job that I'm not willing to do. If I want my mood to change, I just put this one on, and I'm ready to tackle everything I need to do. And I do it with a huge smile on my face. At the same time, I probably drive everyone around me mad, as I listen to this at max volume. Passenger 10 - Nothing But You (Extended Mix) Thaddeus - Is This Real (Original Mix) Cosmic Ocean - Black Parameters John Creamer & Stephane K - I Wish You Were Here (Paul Thomas Extended Mix) Redspace & Martin di Sciascio - Subliminal Verses (Original Mix) Freefall feat Jan Johnston - Skydive (Paul Thomas & Bluum's Midnight Extended Mix) Trilucid - Kasamansa (Original Mix) Inon Bramy - Tears Of Angels (Skyhunter's Progressive Remix) Skyhunter - Tears Of Happiness (Original Mix) Trilucid & Brett Gould - The Purpose (Extended Mix) Orbital - Belfast (Yotto Remix) Boy, this is an emotional journey. From the first record to the last. You are going to enjoy this, and you'll thank me for sharing this with you all after. This mix starts with a fantastic record. What a way to start your mix with. And from that moment on, it's hit after hit after hit. Perky has made sure we stayed focussed, and our enjoyment level has gone through the roof. I think the first record set the tone for what is about to hit you. And it hits hard. Each record is highly enjoyable. These 11 records have been carefully selected, and mixed together beautifully, and the result is astonishing. If I were to hear these tunes and be on the dancefloor at the same time, I would be standing still. Eyes closed, hands in the air, and for a split second, I can imagine what Heaven feels like. That's the power behind this mix and the 11 anthems picked. Out of the 11 records, three are sublime. ''Nothing But You'' is breathtakingly beautiful. '''I Wish You Were Here'' astonishingly gorgeous. And ''Kasamansa'' an anthem that takes you to a higher level. It's another epic mix by Perky, and I'm glad I've discovered this series on Soundcloud. There are now 5 mixes in total out there, so if you are into this, make sure you jump onto his channel, and stream the fuck out of the others. I sure as Hell will. More of this, please. • DJ A.K. - 94-96 Hardcore Mix 10.01.26

It is Monday! Where has the weekend gone? It disappeared, and I didn't even realise it. Time has flown by too darn quickly, and I was just having fun. Now Monday is here, but thankfully by the time I finish this review, it should be nearly done. But the weather outside is grim, and very unpleasant. We need something to keep us going, and keep us bouncing up and down. Enter DJ A.K., a regular contributor to this page. Another day, another mix by this legend, and this time we are going back to 1994 to 1996. The golden years of Hardcore, right? I would certainly say so. I did grow up in another country, and the meaning behind the term 'Hardcore' is slightly different (people elsewhere might have called it Gabber). But in the UK, the term 'Hardcore' meant something completely different. And I love it. Most of these songs, selected by A.K., have got this Breakbeat vibe, and even though they weren't as populair as they should have been, I do still enjoy them a lot. 30 to 32 years later, these songs still sound amazing, and extremely powerful. I can imagine myself on the dancefloor, whisked away by these tunes, and being deafened by the whistle crew. And don't forget the horns! Thank God we did not have the vuvuzelas, that would have been even worst on the dancefloor: you would not hear a single thing at a rave with those bad boys. Let's go back in time, and let's hope it has got enough energy to get me through this week! 01. Moby - Feeling So Real 02. Storm Syndicut - Hold Me...In Your Arms 03. A serious mix, only for those who actually appreciated Hardcore from the mid 90s. Thankfully, I am one of those people who LOVES it, so it's never an issue with me. Give me 1994 to 1996, any day of the week, and I'll be happy. I'm not the only one who was happy about this mix. Someone actually contacted me, stating that DJ A.K. made a brand spanking new mix, and that she really loved it. Someone who goes by the name of KazAhston on Soundcloud. But I would have noticed this mix regardless, as it's a mix by DJ A.K., and his mixes are always dope. I do not think I've ever encountered a shitty mix, or a mix that bad. He always delivers. A true die-hard Hardcore fan, and he keeps us entertained. But it is nice to hear/see others being enthusiastic about these mixes, and in this case, DJ A.K. It is yet another epic mix. And it's also scary to think: is DJ A.K. in my house? I was only in my house the other day, going through some old tunes, and (no joke) I wanted to hear Moby's ''Feeling So Real''. And see what he put in this mix as the first record?! That's bizarre, right? It's not the best song, but it's certainly a wicked one. The best one has to be 'Energy' by Mercurial. What a blinding anthem. Can't get enough of this record. Worst track? 'Power Of Love'. Not a fan of the original, and this version does nothing to me. DJ A.K. has done it again. This man surely deserves all the praise for this mixes. He keeps on making them, pleasing us listeners. And he never stops. A true Hardcore fanatic, and a wicked DJ! • Epic Trance - Vol. 2 v2 (VinylOnly) (2026)

In September of last year, I discovered a new mix series on Soundcloud, which I started to follow. It was made by bbtomie, and the series is called ''Epic Trance''. Now, that's a bit of a statement, as I'm an avid Trance enthusiast, and I've listened to hundreds, if not thousands of Trance mixes, and some might use the same phrase (epic), but the mixes weren't that epic. Or the mix might have been, but the songs certainly weren't that epic. They were OK, but not epic. Is this mix series worth your time, and are the songs truly epic? That's for you to decide. I am going to decide too, but let's first enjoy the mix. An hour and 40 minutes of pure Trance classics. The weather outside is atrocious, and not worth going outside (unless you really have to). And it is also Sunday, a relaxing day. So stay indoors, turn up the heating, get a nice comfy blanket, and turn this mix up to the maximum volume. You will not regret it. bbtomie has selected again 15 records, some I've not heard in years, and put them all together in one wonderful mix. It is the perfect mix for a day like today. Very chilling, very smooth records, and probably one of the best Trance anthems ever made, in this mix. You are eager now to see the tracklist, or am I just imagining it? Nah, you want to see it, don't you? 1. Underwater - Water Planet (Activa's Liquid Globe Remix) 2. DJ Tab - Verso 3. Simon Patterson - Always 4. Fred Baker presents Iguana - Sweet Moonlight 5. Volition - The Spell (Vengeance Original Mix) 6. Ronski Speed presents Sun Decade - Follow You (Original Dub Mix) 7. 8 Wonders - The Morning After (Thrillseekers Mix) 8. Koris vs DJule - Sense Of Time (Ferrin & Low Remix) 9. Steve Morley - Reincarnations (DJ JamX & De Leon's DuMonde Remix) 10. Svenson - Sunlight Theory (Original Mix) 11. Dyyni - City Of Moving Waters (Original) 12. Will Holland - Summer Breeze 13. Inzite - Everest 14. Firewall - Touched (Original Mix) 15. Fred Baker - Forever Friends (Original Extended Mix) Solid mix. It's a nice mixture of known hits and some of the 'forgotten' ones. And I do mean that lightly, as they aren't truly forgotten, but not played that often. Even though they should. But it's a nice one. The hour and 38 minutes do fly by before you know it. This brings back memories. Of me, on the dancefloor. Raving the night away. They were the best days of my life. No care in the world. Well, the only care I had, was the amount of money I had left in my pocket: could I get another drink, or did I drank all my money already? But everything else, all the other worries, disappeared. The dancefloor is a magical place, one that no one can take away from you. I love seeing Fred Baker in this mix. Turns out, I do love quite a lot of Fred Baker songs. The ones in this mix are tight. But not as tight as ''The Morning After''. Boy, that's just the pinnacle of Trance. Perfection, that's what it is. And closely following this track, is ''Reincarnations''. Another blinding track! Another epic edition, that's for sure. bbtomie, keep those mixes coming. Dig deep in your collection, and find more obscure anthems. Bring back the classics, and let us relive the golden years! • Thunderdome 2025 | Catscan vs. Promo

Thunderdome. An institute. A legacy from the early 90s. A brand still kept alive, and for good reason. Many would say that without Thunderdome we would not have a scene as big as it is today. Thunderdome is indeed legendary, and most of us grew up with those legendary songs from the Thunderdome compilations and many have visited the event. Unfortunately, I did not visit last year's edition, which was sold out quicker than I could blink my eyes. The line-up was insane, it was a raver's wet dream! 6 areas filled with the finest acts out there. But the one which stood out the most, was an opening set by Catscan vs. Promo. They opened the main area, and had everyone by their balls (or any other reproductive organ). 3 hour long, just Catscan and Promo. And their whole set is now on both YouTube and Soundcloud. And it includes a tracklist, which is obviously insane too. You can literally see them starting with only 1 individual in the area, and it slowly builds up after the doors opened. In my honest opinion, I don't think I've ever seen a video of an empty area slowly building up. Opening sets are always tricky, as the crowds are coming in, settling in, finding out where everything is, getting drinks etc. And to start off with two of the finest DJs out there, that's something exciting. And they both brough the heat. My God, this set was fire. They made sure the audience were in for a treat! I don't know how many times I've already listened to this set on Soundcloud, but it still surprised me to hear these two legends for 3 hours, non stop. And the tunes?! They are awesome! 1 Miro - A Better Tomorrow 2 DJ Niel - Battlefield 3 Noize Suppressor - Mysteryland '00 4 Nosferatu - The Underground Stream 5 Catscan & Starving Insect - Merged With Silence 6 Mad Dog - Time 7 Catscan - Love Thy Enemy 8 Floorkiller Project - Nosferatu 9 K Placid - The Roots 10 Promo - Guns 'n Ammo (Under Construction Mix) 11 Catscan - Enemy On The Run 12 The Chicken Farmer - Cyclone (Live 2002 Mix) 13 3 Steps Ahead - Strictly Business (Catscan & X-Ess Love 'N Respect Remix) 14 Miro - Purple Moon (Promo Remix) 15 Base Alert - OjeeOink 16 Promo - What the Fuck (D-Passion Remix) 17 Catscan - Arp 18 Promo - Life From The Other Side 19 Korsakoff - Powerrave 20 Miro - E-Shifter 21 ID - ID 22 Meagashira - Swarm 23 Armageddon Project - Spawn of Misanthropy 24 Outblast - Communication (Catscan Remix) 25 Promo - The Bad Guy 26 Mad Dog & Promo - The Realness 27 SRB - 2 Ure Head 28 Tommyknocker - The Aftermath 29 Catscan & Starving Insect - The Rainmaker 30 Promo - Patterns in Chaos 31 Catscan - My Region 32 Promo - Counter Attack 33 Korsakoff - Separated World 34 Ophidian - Black 35 The Blaster - War Is Coming Man 36 Promo - The First Rebirth 37 Catscan - How Much Can You Take (RMX) 38 Promo - Vicious Circle 39 Catscan - The Agency 40 Promo & Catscan - Midnight Impact 41 Korsakoff - Still Wasted 42 D - Passion - What's Going On? 43 Catscan - Gravedigger 44 Promo - Among the Best 45 Catscan - Dissis 46 Neophyte - Till I Retire 47 Catscan - WOIII 48 G-Shock - Demons (Promo Remix) 49 Catscan & Promo - Lords Of The Underground 50 Promo - I Come Correct 51 Catscan & Starving Insect - The Plaguemaker 52 Neophyte & Panic - Skullcrusher (Catscan Remix) 53 D-Passion - Fuck the Free World 54 ID - ID 55 Promo - Past To The Present 56 DaY-mar - Embrace The Night (Outblast Remix) 57 Catscan - Capture in Distress 58 The Stunned Guys & DJ Paul - Thrillseeka 59 Marc Acardipane - Stereo Murder / Atmosfear (Promo Mashup) 60 Base Alert - Zoo 61 The DJ Producer - The Signal ( D-Passion Remix) 62 Catscan & Promo - Toch Welleuk 63 Ophidian - Butterfly V.I.P. 64 Menace II Society vs. Catscan - Chronic Counter 65 Catscan - Drive By 66 ID - ID 67 Neophyte & Promo - Another Dimension 68 Hysta & Korsakoff - Little Things 69 Promo - Phreak Ya Speaka (N-Vitral Re-Phreak) 70 Catscan - Finishing Profiles 71 Promo - Airwalker (Omi Remix) 72 Diss Reaction - Jiiieehaaaa (Angerfist Refix) 73 Promo - Brother Of Conflict 74 Razzle Dazzle Trax - Rattlebrain (Korsakoff Remix) 75 Project Omeaga - Prednison Attack 76 Korsakoff - My Empty Bottle (ID Remix) 77 The Viper - Control the ReFix 78 Unexist - Attack 79 Noize Suppressor - Fingerz By the time the send is ending, the whole area is filled. For good reasons, as Catscan and Promo got them all excited. The main area opening would happen after they did their set, but they surely got everyone hyped up, and raving their arses off. I can only say that, out of the 79 records, only one minor record was played. ''Airwalker'' has certainly not been my favourite, but we got to remember that Thunderdome took place near Christmas, so it did fit in well. But yeah, not Promo's finest record. But which are great? Well, all the 78 other records. A few ID-less records, and it's the first ID-less record which seems to be (according to 1001tracklist.com) Starving Insect & Catscan - The Creeper. If it is, that's one banger of a track. Can't find it anywhere though. The other one which always gets everyone off their chairs and raving is ''Attack'' by Unexist. One of the finest Thunderdome anthems, without a shadow of a doubt. Last year's edition might not have had good reviews (too busy, issues with payment, queues everywhere etc), but during this set, and just basing my judgment on what I can see, there is nothing wrong. The two legends do their best, and deliver us a mighty set which most of us won't forget. They didn't go in softly, as they were the opening act, and they made sure you didn't forget their set. Blinding set. Worth checking out, if you haven't already! • Kings Of The Amen Jungle Mix One - 30-04-22

It is Monday, and it is going to be a long week. I don't know what it is, but certain weeks you just know, will be a drag. And even though it's Monday, I just know it will be a long week. But don't you worry, TCD have got your back. I went to my trusted Soundcloud, had a look around, and landed back onto Craig Scott's page. I could have picked any of his mixes, as they are all superb, but I decided to go for this 'Kings Of The Amen' mix. We all love a bit of the Amen break, right? Who doesn't? I certainly do love the famous Amen break, and it is the most used sound bit in our history. Many artists have used the sample, but in Jungle and Hardcore music it has obviously been used quite a lot. And Craig Scott has picked 25 records which do contain this famous sample, and crammed them into a splendid mix. But I am not surprised, as he always delivers, and every mix I've encountered so far, has been amazing. This mix has been on repeat for hours, and my neighbours must think I've gone mad. I couldn't care less: the Amen break is to be shared with all. Everyone should enjoy it. And hopefully you will now go to the bottom of this review, see the Soundcloud player, and press play. And while you are listening to it, just have a quick look at this tracklist, as it's a great one. But the main focus here is the music, and Craig Scott is making us feel the Amen break, yet again! 1 - Jason Ball - Horns For 94 2 - Sully & Tim Reaper - Mindswept 3 - Kid Lib - Original Roughneck (Tim Reaper VIP) 4 - Mister Shifter - Dreada Than Dreada 5 - Morphy & Skitty - Put Down Ya Gunz (Spirits Riot Mix) 6 - Bizzy B - Listen Tune 7 - DJ Hybrid - Rumble In The Jungle 8 - Veak - Sweet Madness 9 - Dwarde & Tim Reaper - Globex Corp Volume 8 (A1) 10 - Lavery - 94 War 11 - Kid Lib - Living In The Zone 12 - Sam Binga - Wasted Days (Sully Mix) 13 - Dubtronix - Fantasy (Remix) 14 - Johnny Jungle - Johnny (Dubplate Mix) 15 - Sonar’s Ghost - Souldrop (FFF Mix) 16 - Breakage - Kill Dem (Boizo VIP) 17 - Damian Marley - Welcome To Jamrock (Veak Mix) 18 - Homemade Weapons - Sweet Nothing 19 - Asylum - Da Base II Dark 20 - Special Request - Vortex 164 (Sully Mix) 21 - Bizzy B - Totally Destroy 22 - Dark Man - Dis Sound Ruff 23 - My Selecta - Get Up 24 - Special Request - Spectral Frequency (Boizo VIP) 25 - Veak - Roll & Come In This is a tracklist and a half. And as much as I love a bit of Hardcore and Jungle, and some Oldskool too, there are a lot of unknown names in this list. But, as previously stated, it's not about who made it, but the impact the song has. And these songs all had a wonderful impact on me. How this one sample became the most used one in dance music. It's insane to think that. But where would we be without it? It is so recognisable, so distinctive, it's the break of all breaks. The hour has flown by, and my whole afternoon has been a pleasant one, hearing those familiar breaks over and over. This mix never got boring, nor would I have expected it from Craig Scott. Always delivers, never disappoints. And these 25 records are all amazing records. Couldn't tell you more, as my knowledge is limited, but when it comes to the music, they do hit the spot. Best record? ''Fantasy''. That one stood out for me the most. Which one stands out to you? Which one do you like/love? It has made me love the week ahead of me. Bring on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday and Friday. Fuck it, I'm loving it. And to keep me occupied, I am to listen to more mixes by Craig. • DJ CHOSEN FEW Tribute Mega-mix by DJ BUZZ FUZZ (2026)

Last year has been a tremendously bad year for Hardcore music. In roughly 2 months we lost two Hardcore legends, two amazing pioneers. First we lost Chosen Few, and then Bass-D. I remember where I was, when I heard the news. I read it (when Francois Prijt a.k.a. Chosen Few) on Facebook, when fellow Hardcore DJs and producers started to change their profile pictures to complete black images. I felt lost on both occasions, as obviously both DJs and producers meant a lot to me, when I grew up in the 90s. And loosing someone gives you a shit feeling, regardless who it is. For the Hardcore scene, it's an obvious loss. But it is harder for the family and friends of Francois. He has left a legacy behind that no one can take away from him, and he has been honoured on multiple occasions already, which he truly deserved. A pioneers since 1993, and the maker of one of the most well known and loved anthem ''Name Of The DJ'', he has given us so many great records over the years. He kept on pushing is own music but also music by others forward, over the years, and has been a huge artist for the label Mokum Records. To honour him, another legendary DJ who goes by the name Buzz Fuzz, made this tribute mix. And as shit as it is, to see a tribute mix for a pioneer who has gone to the afterlife, at least it does bring a smile on my face, knowing that Chosen Few's music will last forever and ever, and we will rave until we can't anymore. And deep down inside, being a reformed individual who is more of a realist (I've been baptised), I do hope there is a Heaven, and if there is, I know those we lost over the years, are throwing a massive rave. A rave that will last a thousand years. And we will have Bass-D, Chosen Few, 3 Steps Ahead, and many more warming up the decks! Let's see what Buzz Fuzz selected for his mix. In Memoriam Chosen Few - Doomzday (Original Mix) Chosen Few - Da Bellz Chosen Few - Freedom Chosen Few - To Dominate Chosen Few - I Move Heaven And Hell Chosen Few - Hustlers & Hardcore Chosen Few - Fucking Psycho (Original Gabber Mix) Chosen Few - Hardcore Religion Chosen Few - Tranceparant Chosen Few - Kicking Time Chosen Few vs DJ Pila - The Breaks Chosen Few - Dog 4 Life Chosen Few - Bring It On Chosen Few - Danica Chosen Few - Haterz Chosen Few vs S'Aphira - Da Funky Beatz Chosen Few - 0 Chosen Chosen Few - Mokum Worldwide Chosen Few - Hardcore Drama Chosen Few - After Hourz (Technohead Remix) Chosen Few - All You Motherfuckers Chosen Few - Name Of The DJ (DJ Buzz Fuzz Remix) Chosen Few - Number One Chosen Few - Say It Loud Chosen Few - In Da Air Chosen Few - Chosen Paradise Chosen Few - Own Gods Chosen Few - Kold Dayz It is amazing to hear all these songs together in one mix, but it is also amazing to hear what Chosen Few brough to the table, for the three decades he was in our precious Hardcore scene. His music, his legacy, and his personality will be sorely missed. Buzz Fuzz's mix is good. Chosen Few would have loved this mix. 71 minutes of nothing but Chosen Few. How cool is that? Even with this mix does it surprise me the amount of wicked anthems he released over the years. And how much of an impact he had on many, but certainly my life. I don't think you could go to a rave in the 90s and early 00s and NOT hear a Chosen Few record. They were rough, tough, and the kicks were so uniquely Chosen Few, but he still kept on innovating himself, and the style followed with him. He kept his own style, but progressed over the years. He kept it all Hardcore. And his style I really appreciated. I can't tell you when I first heard a Chosen Few record, but it must have been ''Tranceparant''. That record sticks out to me, well before he made the biggest Hardcore anthem ever. But it's ''Doomzday'' which is his biggest record, in my honest opinion. And I know this sounds a bit cringe, but he was a follower of my little website, on Facebook. I feel humbled by the knowledge that this legendary pioneer did follow the site. I did do a few reviews over the 10-15 years, and whenever it included his music or Mokum, he did share/read it. Buzz Fuzz has done an amazing job. Go and check the video out on YouTube. The only thing I have as a comment: the video is so mesmerizing. I couldn't take my eyes of it. My eyes are now extremely dry and blood shot. Chosen Few, a legend. To answer the question which you've raised many years ago: ''I want you all to tell me the name of my DJ''. And that name is Chosen Few. Keep those decks spinning in Heaven, and we will keep your name alive for as long as we are alive! • Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - Oldschool Hardcore Megamix (2026)

Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo. Who doesn't recognise these two (Happy) Hardcore legends from the 90s? Like every kid/teenager in the 90s, growing up in the Netherlands, you grew up with songs from these legendary producers. And they've been a stable force within our scene since the early days. And I can't remember what my first introduction was, but it must have been when they started releasing House Party 10 (alongside the Dark Raver). What followed, was me following their music for more than 3 decades! I was such an avid fan, I bought three copies of their 'Speedcity' CD, as they would be worn due to the amount of plays. And of course, I did buy every top 40 single they ever released. They dominated my youth, even with the harder Gabber sound, but it was the happier sound which made them stand out by a mile. They were everywhere, and I was glad that they were there. Their songs were cool, exciting, and happy. It only turned when they started to make cheesy Happy Hardcore ('Just Can't Get Enough', 'Girls'), which we could have spotted back in 1995 ('This Christmas'). But overall, I am still a huge fan. And to see a megamix on Soundcloud, that just makes me happier. Guessing it is based on their album ''Oldschool Hardcore'', but I'm not sure if it is an official megamix or a fan made mix. Guessing it's the latter, and you will know why that is. From 1994 to 1996 they dominated my life. And now, many years later, I still feel young whenever I heard a song by Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo. The duo I grew up with, and admired (I did do the same with 2Unlimited, but they thoroughly disappointed me). Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - Get Free Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - Your Smile (Hardcore Mix) Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - Once Again Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - DJ Fuck (Bass-D & King Matthew Remix) Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - Speedcity (M-Jay & Dan Vee Remix) Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - Live At London (Hardcore Mix) Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - Rebel (Live At The Metropolis Remix) Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - Together In Wonderland (Hardcore Mix) Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - Wonderfull Days (Hard Mix) Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - Motherfuck Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - Angels In Your Head Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - The Ultimate Sex Track (Bass-D & King Matthew Remix) Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - Skills (Straight Mix) Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - Verrotted (Stunned Guys Remix) Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - Gabberfood (Step On Stage Mix) Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - Descontrolla Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - Hardcore Dance (Sydney Remix) Obsessive - Tune In Turn Out (Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo Remix) Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - The Bird The tracklist is interesting, that's for sure. It combines both the well known anthems and the slightly forgotten ones too. It is always nice to hear a Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo song, or even a mix . It brightens up my day. And it makes me feel young again. But not this mix. This wasn't a mix for me, unfortunately. Sorry to be maybe a tad harsh, but this wasn't the mix I was hoping to discover. The mixing of all these tracks is off, by a huge margin. I could normally tolerate some mistakes, but this isn't pleasant to hear. It doesn't flow well. The tracks might be good, but the mixing of these records isn't great. I am kind of disappointed: I was hoping for this mix to rock my world, on this dreary Monday. It certainly didn't. Let's talk about the positives: the tracks. Thankfully they are good. And I think I have mentioned this track before in another review, but 'Get Free' is stil an underrated Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo song. Love it to pieces! This could have been nice, but not to me. I've got to give it some credit, but it won't be a high score today, unfortunately. Which is a pity, that's for sure. • Lunatic - Bass-D Tribute Mix (2026)

2025 has been a horrendous year for many people. And our precious Hardcore scene suffered by the loss of two Hardcore legends, two pioneers who co-created the Hardcore scene: Chosen Few in October, and Bass-D in December. And both times was I shocked to read the news on social media. How, and why? It's certainly a loss for not only the scene, but for their friends and family, who will all mourn the loss of these legendary human beings, who were also excellent producers and DJs, and pioneers of the Hardcore scene. I will review a mix dedicated by Chosen Few soon (a mix by Buzz Fuzz), but for now, let's focus on a tribute mix by Lunatic, for the mighty Bass-D. Bass-D started his DJ career many moons ago. In 1992, he became a Dutch DJ Champion, and his life would never be the same again. He met King Matthew around that time, and together they went on this journey through the wonderful world we call Hardcore. And they were a force to reckon with. The truly dominated the scene, and have remained highly appreciated throughout the 90s, and well after. I've seen and heard many sets over the years, but I'm not sure if I have actually witnessed Bass-D perform live (in front of me). But in a way that wasn't needed, as his sets always appeared everywhere, including on the legendary album Thunderdome '96 and '97. And his songs, be it on his own or part of the duo Bass-D & King Matthew, they appeared everywhere. They were so influential in the 90s, it is insane to think that we owe him so much, and he co-created and shaped the Hardcore scene, just the way I like it. I drove my parents mad in the 90s and early 00s when I lived at home. I always had Bass-D songs playing out loud. In later years he started to do more mashup songs with Potato, which were a bit hit and miss for me, but still enjoyable to a degree. But he still remained a Hardcore legend, a pioneer, and we all knew it. Intro Bass-D (incl. Mouth Of Madness) Distortion feat MC Raw vs Bass-D & King Matthew - Raveworld Bass-D & King Matthew - Fly Away Isaac & The Viper - Freak That Shit (Bass-D & King Matthew Remix) Bass-D & King Matthew - Masterplan Bass-D & King Matthew - True Legends JDA - Voel Je Die Bass (Bass-D & King Matthew Remix) Bass-D & King Matthew - Nuclear Hardcore Bass-D & King Matthew feat XD - Like A Dream Bass-D & King Matthew - In The Mix Potato & Bass-D - Huzarensalade Re-Style & Bass-D - Keep Freakin Buzz Fuzz & Bass-D - It's Alright (Nytro Remix Bass-D Hardcore Edit) Re-Style & Bass-D - Out Of Darkness The Viper - Control The Refix Highlander - Hold Me Now (Bass-D's 2018 Remake) Forze DJ Team - '98 To Your Mind (The Viper & Neophyte Mashup) The Masochist vs Bass-D - Get Retarded (Bass-D 2011 Refix) Re-Style - Wasteland + Get Crackin (Mashup) Ricardo Moreno & Potato - Back To The Roots Potato & Bass-D - Appelmoes Potato & Bass-D - Compote 4 Tune Fairytales - My Little Fantasy (Bass-D & King Matthew Remix) This is a very glorious looking tracklist, and it's a good reminder of how important Bass-D was for all of us, and how his music shaped the scene into this wonderful thing it is today. But one thing we have to agree: Bass-D dominated during the 90s. He certainly did. Bass-D had an extensive back catalogue, and you can find a few of his records here. Not sure about the few in here which do not carry Bass-D's name, but they are nice fillers in this 66 minute long mix. And to many he was a legendary producer and DJ who made his furore in the 90s, but let's not forget the millennium years, during which Masters of Hardcore reigned supreme. During those years, I truly liked the Bass-D songs. They were more sophisticated, more elegant, more what I wanted Hardcore to be. For so many decades did Bass-D inspire ravers, and got millions of people dancing to his tunes, and millions have heard his sets throughout the years on certain platforms such as YouTube, Soundcloud, and more. And his contribution to our scene will certainly be missed. Thousands of ravers will truly miss his enthusiasm for Hardcore, and his skills behind the decks. But that obviously fades into obscurity when you talk about the loss for his close friends and family. Devastating times, that's for sure. Bass-D is truly missed, and the scene has lost yet another pioneer. Lunatic's mix is a great one, honouring the late and great Bass-D. Rave in peace, and rave forever. Keeps those decks spinning in Heaven, Bass-D. Best record? Hands down, Happy Hardcore's finest track ever: 'My Little Fantasy'. • Trance Classics Reworked 004 (NYE Special) (2026)

Monday has come, and is nearly gone. And I'm glad. It's been a long and arduous day. Nothing unpleasant has happened, but after a very cheerful and happy weekend, you might loose a bit of energy. And today is the day I've lost my oomph. But not to worry, as I had something keeping me company throughout the day. It's a very pleasant, mellow, and very smooth mix by Andresen. A 2 hour long mix, with some of the finest Trance songs out there. But hang on, not the originals, but reworked versions of them. How cool is that? In September I reviewed the second mix in this instalment, and I was very pleased. Not just pleased with the review, I am always pleased with whatever I write, but with the mix. And this new mix, is certainly one I thoroughly enjoy. The same concept, but different songs. And a 2 hour long mix. 20 tracks. I couldn't wish for anything more, right? I am genuinely baffled, how did he find these records? They seem to have come out of nowhere, as I've not heard them before. The originals I've certainly heard before, but never these reworked versions. And I have to give credit to those who did those reworked versions, as some in this mix are better than the original. And that's a statement you wouldn't hear from me that often. You will love this mix, trust me! Solid Sessions - Janeiro (Stan Kolev Remix) Jakatta - American Dream (PROFF Interpretation) Solarstone & Jes - Like A Waterfall (Forerunners Extended Remix) Max Graham - Airtight (Henrik Zuberstein Remix) Lustral - Everytime (Sultan + Shepard Extended Remix) Andy Ling - Fixation (Dylhen Remix) Luminary - Amsterdam (Grum Extended Remix) Three Drives On A Vinyl - Sunset On Ibiza (BLR Extended Remix) Format - Solid Session (Joris Voorn Remix) BT - Remember (Space Motion Extended Remix) Jam & Spoon - Follow Me (Jerome Isma-Ae Extended Remix) Pink Bomb - Indica (Orkidea & Solarstone Pure Progressive Extended Remix) L.S.G. - Netherworld (Rise And Fall Remix) Airwave - Save Me (Jamie Baggots Remix) The Thrillseekers - Amber (Hydra's Altered State Extended Remix) The Space Brothers - Shine (Paul Thomas & White-Akre Extended Remix) Tiesto - The Tube (Matan Caspi Remix) Golden Girls - Kinetic (Genix Extended Remix) Da Hool, Cassian & YOTTO - Love Parade M.I.K.E. - Strange World (AVIRA Remix) A majestic mix. I know each and every song, but not these versions. How exciting, right? To find some hidden gems, lurking in the darkness, finally seeing the daylight. Andresen's mix is very tight, and very exciting to hear. And so smooth: the 2 hours do fly by before you know it. I did love every second of this mix. Andresen has kept the entertainment level high, and has given us a splendid mix. The tracks are all solid. Blinding tracks, to be fair. This is a mix series I can stand behind, and I do love the concept. As good as the originals might be, to hear a slightly different version of each, and these versions were done right, that's just gorgeous. ''Airtight'' is probably the best song in this mix. Closely followed by an all time classic ''American Dream''. You cannot go wrong with either of these records. Only love and appreciation. And rightly fully so. I'm currently holding the top spot on this mix when it comes to listens, and this will remain the same for a while. On repeat, for days on end. More of these please!? • DJ Heinrich - (Mostly) Gammer Slammers To The Bone - January 2026 Mix

The weekend has landed, and what a way to start the weekend. A proper UK Hardcore mix, with mostly Gammer songs. You couldn't wish for anything else, to be fair. Unless you live in the North of the UK, or the rest of Europe, where snow and ice is taken over normal life. I hope you are safe indoors, and to keep the temperatures enjoyable, why not crank up the volume to the max, and create a little rave in your house/flat/appartement, or wherever it is you are currently staying. I do love me a bit of Gammer. Especially the early Gammer, when he emerged onto the scene, and became this powerful source of excellent music. And his mixing was through the roof too! I still remember those videos on Facebook and YouTube, in which he mixed 100 tracks in 10 seconds (or something similar to this). Gammer became this stable force, and his music has touched many people. And it was always pleasant to hear them not only in mixes, but also at raves. Last time I actually witnessed Gammer, was 15 years ago, at Uproar Summer Sounds. And that's a long time ago. A lot of things have changed, and so has Gammer. His music has changed, and the mix you are about to listen to, is focussed on the 'early' stuff he made. Be it on his own, or with friends. The mix was made by DJ Heinrich, and it contains some very big UK Hardcore anthems from a long gone era. Pulsonix - Lift Me Up (Geos & Gammer Remix) UK Hardcore feat Niki Mak - Need Your Emotion (Dougal & Gammer Remix) Dougal & Gammer - Rock This Dougal & Gammer feat Lisa Marie - All The Tears I've Cried United In Dance feat Lisa Marie - Still The One Audiolush - Feel The Power (Dougal & Gammer Remix) Dougal & Gammer feat Jenna - Paradise Hixxy - Sacrifice Gammer - Let It Go Dougal & Gammer - Lifting Me Higher Gammer feat Cat Knight - A New Feeling (Let It Shine) (Original Mix) Gammer & Whizzkid - We Are The Vampires Frisky & Hujib - Get Away (Gammer Mix) Mickey Skeedale feat Jenna - Through The Darkness (Dougal & Gammer Remix) Dougal & Innovate feat Jenna - Fires In The Sky Dougal & Gammer feat Jenna - Heaven On Earth What a wonderful mix. DJ Heinrich selected a few records, and they are all epic UK Hardcore anthems. And how do I know they are anthems? Because they ALL make me extremely happy. And they still get everyone on the dancefloor. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what makes a song an anthem. Gammer worked a lot during the golden years with Dougal, and together they were the most powerful duo we had ever seen. Their music was just next level, and they've made and/or remixed some of the best records ever. The best one is obviously in this mix: 'Through The Darkness'. That is just an epic song, and a true raver knows the song from the first to the last second. Heinrich has made a very interesting mix, and even though the mix has made me extremely happy, it has also made me very sad. This always happens when I see a mix dedicated to the golden years of UKHC. It reminds me that those days are behind us, and they don't make music like they did back in the day anymore. Things have changed. A solid mix. Never heard or seen the name Heinrich, but he's got a new follower on Soundcloud! • 008 - Christmas '25

The weekend is about to land upon us, and I'm excited for it. Not that I've got something special planned, it means that I get to do absolutely bugger all. Chill, a bit of PS5 time, and some awesome music playing in the background. And have I got something special for you to listen to! A mix by Jay Ryder, celebrating not only the Christmas and New Year gone by, but also Jungle and Drum & Bass. And I love myself a bit of both, Jungle and Drum & Bass. This mix landed on my timeline a few days ago, and I jumped straight on it. I don't know why but I just had to listen to it. I've never heard or seen the name Jay Ryder before, but all that is irrelevant: it's all about the music. And a few days ago, on the M1, I decided to give this mix a go. I went in blind, did not check the tracklist, but I am pleased that I did. I am sitting here with a massive smile on my face, listening to this mix for coming up 8 hours straight. Those journeys on the M1 and M25 have been extremely pleasant. And even though I haven't got the highest spec Toyota Yaris, the speakers did tremble. Only at maximum volume though, but how can you listen to a mix like this one with the volume low? Are you mad? Jungle and Drum & Bass, they need to be played at max volume, without a shadow of a doubt. So, if you were on the M1 and M25 on Tuesday and Wednesday, you might have heard me. And if you did, I could not care less. I was enjoying myself, in my little Yaris bubble of happiness! Sonar's Ghost - Mindrumming Dub One feat Blatant - Inner Sense Dub One feat Blatant - Hesitation Atlas & K Super - Dex's Funk Digital & Outrage - Dillengence Polarity - Redeemer Dub One - Da Artical Bushman Loxy & Resound - Dunn's River Falls Dub One feat Blatant - Overdose Dub One feat Blatant - Future Of The World DaRuff - Abyss (Dub) Mshcode - Silver Dub Sonar's Ghost & Acid Lab - Is Jazz Is Double O - Thankful I do love myself a bit of Jungle and Drum & Bass, but last year I've neglected it a bit. Which in itself is a shame. But 2026 will be a different year. More Jungle, more Drum & Bass. And we are starting off strong, with a very good mix. Jay Ryder has selected 14 big tracks, and I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of them. They've been a pleasant companion on both the M1 and M25. And they've made me extremely chilled. Not as chilled as the outside temperatures, but close enough. The mix itself is dope, and the tracks too. One thing I did notice: I do not recognise any of the names in the mix. Time for me to re-educate myself, and dive back into it. Jay seems to upload a new mix every so often, so I've got new music coming soon. And besides: Soundcloud is filled with excellent music, so I'm not worried. Best song in this mix? Without hesitation: 'Artical Bushman' by Dub One. Big boy anthem! Never heard it before, but it has been on my mind ever since. Big track. A solid mix. Worth your time. It might only be 57 minutes long, but it packs a punch. A hefty punch! • Syntax Error - 00's UK Hardcore Favourites Pt. 2 (2025)

Happy New Year. Is it still OK to wish you all a happy 2026? Who knows. You could be reading this review on the day of its release (02.01.2026) or later in the year. If you are reading this later in the year, apologies, this intro wasn't meant for you to be read today. But what can you consider to be for you, whenever you read this review? The mix you are about to press play on, made by Jezz Toon a.k.a. Syntax Error. If you love UK Hardcore, you will be extremely excited to hear this! I am currently working from home, and as I'm the only one (all my colleagues are off), I can do what I like. Even my wife is on annual leave, so I can literally just crank up the volume, and have a party in my office. And that's exactly what happened. Not really cranked up the volume, as I am still considering my wife asleep in the other room. But now she's awake, so the volume goes up, and let's 'ave it! What a way to start the year. First mix of the year, a mix dedicated to UK Hardcore. Does that mean 2026 will be a good year? I do hope so. Syntax Error's mix does contain the big hits from back in the day, and a few lesser known or forgotten tracks. The tracklist might put a smile on your face, but I'm doubtful it will be as big of a grin as the one you can see in the image above! Leda vs Denja - Dance Island (Weaver Remix) Uplift & Cat Knight - Deep Inside Allysha - Late (Sparky & Syntronik Remix) Antix & Tommy feat Renee - Can You Feel It Beatplayers feat Lara McAllen - Piece Of Heaven (Re-Con Remix) Breeze & Re-Con - Love You For A Life Time Chris Unknown & Hixxy - Slow And Steady Rush Cynix feat Kelly C - Hold On Tight Darren Hotchkiss & Mark Sloan - Doing It Over Darren Styles vs Hypasonic - Baby I'll Let You Know DJ Rhythmics - Follow Me Dougal & Gammer feat Lisa Marie - Right Here By My Side Gammer & Francis Hill - It Will Be Alright Hixxy feat Taya - Take Me To Heaven Hypasonic feat Jord Schmidt - Doesn't Matter (Dougal & Gammer Remix) Insight feat Emily Reed - Heaven Help Me Now It is a good looking tracklist. And Syntax Error indeed put a lot of tracks in here I've not heard before, especially the first few tracks. But then the party really starts, and it's hit after hit. It's a good glimpse into our UK Hardcore history, and how great the music used to be. I do miss it a lot. I might sound like an old man now, but they don't make them like they used to. And that's the truth. These 16 songs have got this distinctive sound they don't use anymore. And it makes me wonder why? The music was good enough, and the sound should have been kept alive, forever and ever! Syntax Error's mix is a very pleasant one, and I've been listening to this one throughout my day. It has made the first working day (for me) of 2026 a more pleasant one. There are a few mixing errors, which is a bit of a pity, as the tracks are all solid. Especially 'Doesn't Matter', that's certainly a timeless masterpiece. Go and jump on this right now! And again, happy New Year. Unless it is later in the year. If you are reading this too late, you might be too late to celebrate the beginning of 2026, but never too late to appreciate UK Hardcore! • Yearmix 2025 - Make RAW not WAR #6

The end of the year is in sight. Less than 14 hours from time of writing this review, do we enter the new year. And what time to be alive and kicking. It's been an interesting year, and we've had our ups and downs. And not just on a personal level: the whole world is going through a lot. Global warming, crisis here and there, food shortages, and wars still ongoing. For what reason? Why are we still fighting? For a bit of land? For pride? For what purpose are we slaughtering people? I just don't understand why war is necessary, during this time. We need to go into a future without any way, maybe only in a digital world, but not the real world. Wars are truly unnecessary. We don't need it. And it's so blasé. Not to sound like a hippy from the 1960s or 1970s, but we should make love, not war. Peace, not war. But according to the DJ who made this mix, jOahz, you only need RAW, not war. And I would agree. Not only would RAW help us all, it would unite us all. Unless RAW isn't your thing, then you choose whichever genre or style you prefer, and that will unite you with other humans. But we certainly don't need a war anymore. It has been a great year for music, and especially Rawstyle music. I've not really invested too much time this year, as I was focussed on other styles. But the good thing about the end of the year is the amount of yearmixes you will hear and see, and you can get a quick glimpse of all the goodies released during the year, or invest some time in what you have actually missed. And I've missed so much. Thank God for his yearmix, right? Cold Confusion - Touch My Body Cold Confusion - Own The Game Nightcraft - Part Of Me Level One & Nightcraft - Afterlight Polish Punisher - Your Mind Hard Driver & Unresolved - Keep It Movin Revolve & Cold Confusion - Rock 'n Roll Unresolved & Polish Punisher - Funky Beats D-Sturb & Polish Punisher - Rocking With Polish Punisher & Nightcraft - Hold On Level One & Digital Punk - Power Of The OG Adaro & Level One - The Curse Of The 909 Radical Redemption & Nightcraft - The Black Symphony Digital Punk & Ncrypta & Tha Watcher - The Fallout (Spectre Remix) Act Of Rage - Like Thunder Crypsis & Nightcraft - I Don't Miss Rejecta - Darkness Rejecta - Patient Zero Brutalizer - Eastside Inflame - Saved From Hell Polish Punisher & Deluzion - Bassline Overload Deluzion - Bring It Raw Deluzion - Break Ya Face Polish Punisher & MC Nolz - Sharpen The Blade Uncaged & Sub Sonik - Aggressors Of Violence Rejecta & Deluzion feat MC Flo - Desert Of Doom Rejecta & Regain & Unresolved - Rock It Polish Punisher & Unresolved - OG Damage Unresolved & Revolve & Cold Confusion & Uncaged feat MC Flo - Blood Warriors Level One - The Question (Cold Confusion Remix) Aversion & Rejecta - Go For Your Stereo Deluzion & Unresolved - Untouchables All that in a 73 minute long mix. That's a lot of goodies for all of us on the 31st of December. And as there isn't an official genre or style to listen to on the last day of the year, maybe we should call it the RAW day, on which all the radio stations should be playing this. I'd much rather prefer this over any Abba crap. They are a solid group, but their song just sounds too depressing to listen to today. Give me RAW all day, every day. It is a solid mix, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I really like the direction RAW is going to. More melodies, more hands in the air moments. Not just stomping constantly, we need some melodies. And this mix contains records which made me put my hands in the air a lot. A good selection of records, that's for sure. I do have to give one tiny criticism in regards to the style. Not a fan of ''MCs'' just screaming the lyrics. Not a fan of MCs in general in the harder styles, but they don't add anything special to songs. They are irrelevant to me. A track can be better without MCs, that's just my honest opinion. MC Nolz and MC Flo, yep, not my favourite whatsoever. That's just me. Give me tracks like 'Touch My Body' where there are actually nice vocals by a solid vocalist, not just screaming words through my speaker. But which track did do the most damage to my ears? 'The Question'. That's a solid track. What a way to end the year! Make sure you press play and go RAW into the New Year! Why not? Have a blast, have fun. And make peace, not war. • Noisetalgia Podcast 079 : Best of 2000 (2025)

The end of the year is coming. Tomorrow we will celebrate the last day of 2025, and what a year it has been. The time is right to reminisce, and think back. Not only of all the things which have happened in 2025, but also from the years gone by. A quarter of a century has gone by, since the Millennium started. 25 whole years, and now we are about to enter the 26th year. Time does fly by so darn quickly, it is unbelievable. And as time is relevant and only goes forward, at least we've got the opportunity to go back in time, every so often, and whenever we feel like it. Today is that day. It's not the first Indecent Noise mix of the year, but it will be the last of 2025, and in this mix do we celebrate the year 2000. I can't believe that this happened over 25 years ago. It is insane to think, but it is the truth. We are already closer to the year 2050 than to the year 2000. Insane, right? But what isn't insane, is the music from that glorious year. For Trance lovers, this was a fantastic year. We had so many great records released, and we danced to all of them. And now, in the 79th edition of his Noisetalgia podcast series, do we embrace them all, and dance the year away! I grew up with Trance music, but around the year 2000 did it become an obsession for me. Hardcore music went underground, and I stayed above ground. The harder styles did appeal to me, but Trance was just something exciting, and something that filled a massive gap. It could not resemble Hardcore in any way, shape or form, but it kind of worked for me. The euphoria and the uplifting elements did appeal to me the most, and 2000 was certainly a great year, as so many epic anthems were released, and you will find them in this mix! Push - Strange World (2000 Remake) Alibi - Eternity (IC Mix) Svenson & Gielen - The Beauty Of Silence Mauro Picotto - Komodo Paul van Dyk feat St. Etienne - Tell Me Why (The Riddle) Fragma - Toca Me Delerium feat Sarah McLachlan - Silence (Tiesto's ISOS Remix) Moogwai - Viola (Armin van Buuren Remix) Mario Piu - The Vision (Vision 1 Mix) Yves Deruyter - Back To Earth (Rave Mix) Lunatic Asylum - Cabal (Energy Flow) (Hitch Hiker & Dumont's Gorn Jabar Mix) Storm - Time To Burn Gouryella - Tenshi Delerium - Heaven's Earth (Matt Darey Remix) Cygnus X - Superstring (Rank 1 Remix) Coast 2 Coast feat Discovery - Home Lange feat Morrighan - Follow Me (Lange Remix) Blank & Jones - The Nightfly Vincent De Moor - Fly Away Barthezz - On The Move Lost Witness - 7 Colours 4 Strings - Daytime System F - Cry (Ferry Corsten Remix) Yahel & Yeal Barkan - Voyage (Tiesto's Magikal Remake) Marc et Claude - I Need Your Loving (Dark Moon Remix) Public Domain - Operation Blade Hennes & Cold - The Second Trip (Scot Project Remix) A mix that can take you back, 25 years in time, within a split second? Sign me up! This mix has got that capability, to transfer us back in time. And boy, do I feel younger? I certainly do. I remember hearing them where, when, and how. And even on which compilation it was on, which disc, and which track number. I am a nerd like that. The music was different back then, better. Much better. The quality of the songs are all insane, and they got a whole generation to dance to Trance music, from dusk til dawn. And I was one of them. Raving the night away. And also a memorable side note: we still had CD stores everywhere in the Netherlands, and I've spent multiple thousands of Euros in those shops. I could have purchased myself a brand new car instead, but I didn't. And I'm glad that I didn't. Music is life. Indecent Noise has selected a few nice records. 27 in total. And I would say 24 of them would fit extremely well in a 'appreciation mix' for the year 2000. 3 I would not add, as they were OK, but there were others better than those three. But let that not spoil the fun, as it is certainly a very entertaining mix. It is difficult to pick a favourite. There are so many in here. It turned into a tie between ''On The Move'' and ''The Nightfly''. These are the most memorable songs for me, as they have a personal link to them. But everyone is different, and you might have another record which you prefer over mine. Leave a comment below, always interesting to read which record you prefer. A wonderful mix. And what a way to end the year. Can't wait for 2026 and more Indecent Noise mixes! • Si Thompson - 20 Years Of 2005 UK Hardcore Mix Part 2 (17-6-2025)

Let's go back, 20 years back, to the wonderful year of our Lord, 2005. Remember that year? Where were you in 2005? What were you doing? And most important of all, what were you listening to back then? I was certainly listening to a lot of genre/styles: Hardcore, Gabber, Trance, Jumpstyle, Hardstyle, Techno, and this lesser known style UK Hardcore (lesser known in the Netherlands). Did I play this kind of music a lot back in the day? Hell yes, I sure did. I drove everyone around me mad, including my neighbours. But I could not give two shits. No shits were given.... Hardcore is life. And UK Hardcore is part of my life too. And in 2005 I was a full on raver. Remember the days when artists such as Brisk & Ham, Dougal & Gammer, Sy & Unknown, Scott Brown, Kurt & Joey Riot, etc, they ruled our scene. Their songs dominated my life, and I'm still extremely happy that I grew up with UKHC in my life. I would not be able to cope without it. It is probably the most energetic and happiest scene out there, in the whole world. Prove me wrong. Si Thompson's mix is the second in the series. I've already reviewed the first one back in October, and now the year is coming to an end, I thought it would be suitable to review the second mix. It is 52 minutes long, and of course the focus lies with all the goodies released in 2005, which is 20 years ago. Where has the time gone? Why does it fly by so damn quickly? It feels like yesterday, but obviously it isn't. Crikey, I'm getting old! Scott Brown vs Hyperbass - We're Droppin' This (Plus System Mix) Gavin G - Great Journey Scott Brown - Serial Killer Joey Riot - Hardcore 2 Da Bone Adam Harris - My Star (Brisk & Vagabond Remix) Scott Brown - I Call The Shots Scott Brown - Detonated (Plus System Remix) DJ Seduction - Raise Your Hands (Bouncy Mix) Joey Riot - Take Me Higher Gavin G & Dan Rolla - Happiness Seduction vs Dougal & Gammer - Happy Days Seduction & Sy - Bring It On Down DJ Kurt - U Wanna Rock? If a mix can make you feel 20 years younger, it immediately gets bonus points. And this one certainly makes me feel old again. Living in the Netherlands, being one of only a handful of ravers who actually loves UKHC. Times were different. Less stressful. And the music released in 2005 was so damn good. Seriously, what has changed? Why is the scene so disrupted? Why isn't it as joined up as it used to be? Obviously, regulars to this page know I'm a massive Scott Brown fan, and during the Millennium years, he dominated my life. Yes, Brisk & Ham, Dougal & Gammer, Sy & Unknown etc, they were part of it all, but Scott B, he was everything to me. And it's nice to see his songs making an appearance in this mix. But truth be told: you cannot make a mix without having at least one or two Scott Brown records in it. Especially when the mix is focussed on 2005! Si has made a very interesting mix with some serious dancefloor smashers in it. And normally I would go for a Scott Brown track as my favourite, but in 2005 ''U Wanna Rock?'' was the track that appeared everywhere. Christ, no mix or compilation or event could happen without this record being played. What a massive, stomper of a track! A solid mix. Some tiny errors, and ''Happiness'', which isn't the greatest song ever made, but still, this is a serious mix, and requires appreciation by all the UKHC fans from back in the day. If you raved in 2005, you will embrace this mix. And why not, have a listen to the first mix in this series. Hopefully Si will do more, as we do require more of these mixes! • Chronicles of Progression Ep 2 (2025)

The end of the year is in sight. And what a year it has been. It's been a year, filled with emotions. And it has ended in a bit of a peculiar way. But when it comes to the music I discovered throughout the year, it's been an amazing year. With a lot of excellent mixes on Soundcloud. I've spent so many hours/days/weeks/months on Soundcloud, it is unbelievable. And to end the year properly, let me introduce you to a very mellow sounding mix, you'll certainly enjoy this one! I don't listen to enough Progressive House mixes, which is obviously a shame. But when I do hear them, I am always blown away by the quality of the songs. One month ago, I found a mix by Perky (wasn't he a cartoon character from the 90s?), and it's the second instalment of the 'Chronicles Of Progression' series. I've not heard the first one, but I was certainly blown away by the perkiness of this mix (see what I did there?). I've seen and listened to a few Progressive House mixes throughout the year, and they always seem to put a massive smile on my face. Will Perky's mix do the same today? I am fairly confident that the mix you are about to listen to, will be one that will generate smiles for miles. Or, it could just be a very pleasant alternative to whatever is playing on your radio or streaming platform. Christmas isn't officially done, but the songs are definitely behind us.... So the names in this list might not create an instant emotion, one that resembles recognition. But what speaks volumes, is the actual music. And the music, selected and mixed together by Perky, is certainly great! It has been a very pleasant hour, that's for sure. Perky has picked 12 amazing and smooth sounding records, and blended them together nicely. The hour does fly by, and you will feel more relaxed and mellow compared to when you started this mix. You'll feel blissful, and extremely happy. I know I was extremely happy during, and after this mix had ended. You might be wondering why? Well, simple reason: I could start the mix again! This has been a very pleasant mix to listen to. I've thoroughly enjoyed myself. The selection of songs were really good, but when you hear both Corren Cavini's songs, that's when it all comes together. They are absolutely blinding records. Never heard of Corren Cavini, but I'll be on the hunt for more. Get this down you, right now! • Daniel Skyver - The 21st Century 001 (2025)

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. And you got all the presents you were wishing for. And obviously, you got fed well. Or maybe too well, as most families around this festive period go overboard with the amount of food. I hope the food was sufficient enough, and that you are now feeling as stuffed as the turkey. But Christmas is so much more than just food and presents. Depending on your beliefs, it could be to celebrate the birth of an important figure in human history. I hope your Christmas day and Boxing day have both been pleasant enough. I know for a fact that my Christmas was good. We had good food, and we played board games. We even had a power cut in our little village. That was a bit awkward, but we still made it entertaining. Board game, a bit of Christmas food, a torch to keep our house a bit lit, and Christmas music. That's now all behind us, and it is time to say goodbye to Christmas music, and play good music again. And the mix I've found today, is one you will certainly appreciate. The mix you are about to listen to, is the first instalment of a series focussed on Trance songs released in the 21st century. The mix was made by Daniel Skyver, who has had a previous entry on this site back in 2022. I have not reviewed anything in between 2022 and now, but what a mix to end the year with. And as I can tell, it's split into two mixes (so far). There could be more mixes coming, who knows? The century started in 2001, and has been ongoing for 25 years.... so many good Trance tunes have been released, and there will be more and more.. Stoneface & Terminal - North Cape Andy Moor & Adam White presents Whiteroom - The Whiteroom Ferry Corsten & Betsie Larkin - Made Of Love Solarstone - Solarcoaster (Midway Remix) Raz Nitzan & Moya Brennan - Find The Sun (Solarstone Remix) Breakfast - The Horizon Daxson - Aurora Solarstone & Clare Stagg - The Spell Super8 & DJ Tab - Helsinki Scorchin M.I.K.E. Push presents Overtone - The Sun Rises Who.Is - We.Are System F - Cry The Thrillseekers - Just Because John O'Callaghan feat Josie - Out Of Nowhere (Stoneface & Terminal Remix) Factor B feat Arielle Maren - Connected (Lostly Remix) The Thrillseekers presents Hydra - Standing On The Edge Of Space (Cold Blue Remix) Nu NRG - Dreamland A very splendid mix to listen to on the 27th of December. Come on, we're done now, listening to Christmas songs. Let's enjoy the good music released in the first quarter of the 21st century. It's been a tremendous 25 years, and I hope to witness more quarters, at least one more. This mix has made me very happy. So many wicked anthems, ranging from 2000 up until the present year we are in. It's a nice selection of records, and they all blend in nicely together. This is a nearly 2 hour long mix with some serious hitters. You will thank me after this review, for giving you the opportunity to listen to this mix. And obviously we are thankful for Daniel Skyver to have made this mix. It's a splendid mix. It has given me goose bumps, hearing those euphoric anthems again. The one that got me the most euphoric, is 'Made Of Love'. Leave it up to Ferry Corsten to make a song so damn beautiful. It was closely followed by 'The Spell' and 'Just Because', but it is still miles ahead of the others in this mix. Maybe because of the gorgeous vocals? A solid mix. Go and listen to it right now. It is cold outside, and no real reason for you to be out. Turn the heating up, and whilst you are at it, turn the volume up too! • Culture Beat - Serenity (1993)

This is a bit of a weird review. Not because of the music, but more what happened on the day I started this review. It was the 16th of November of this year, and I was just listening to this album, as I wanted to write something about it, and we had to rush back to my wife's mother's house, to find her unfortunately not alive anymore. Obviously I did not continue writing this review, as it left a bit of a nasty aftertaste in my mouth, which is obviously not Culture Beat's fault. More than a month has passed now, and I think it's OK to pick this up again, where I left it behind.... Culture Beat was important to me, as a kid. Growing up in the 90s, you listen to whatever your parents were listening to, and I was getting a bit fed up with hearing Abba, Queen, Barry White, and all these softie artists. I needed something a tad harder and faster. Hence why my dad comes into the picture. He was always a bit of a fan of the harder sounds, and when he purchased Culture Beat's album 'Serenity', I ''borrowed'' it and never gave it back. What was his, is now mine. I only knew Culture Beat from their hit single 'Mr. Vain', which got played on each radio station, and reached number 1 in multiple countries, including the Netherlands. But that's not when they started: their roots lie within the late 80s. But the mainstream pop culture only became aware of them because of 'Mr. Vain', which is still a massive hit. A few other hits followed, and then they kind of disappeared. They still kind of release music, and their latest hit from 2017, ''Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas'', it didn't chart anywhere, and truth be told: I've not even heard it. The album is still in my possession, and I do not believe my dad knows I actually borrowed it. Culture Beat - Serenity (Prolog) Culture Beat - Mr. Vain Culture Beat - Got To Get It Culture Beat - World In Your Hands Culture Beat - Adelante! Culture Beat - Rocket To The Moon Culture Beat - Anything Culture Beat - Key To Your Heart Culture Beat - The Other Side Of Me Culture Beat - The Hurt Culture Beat - Mother Earth Culture Beat - Serenity (Epilog) Culture Beat - ID Tania Culture Beat - ID Jay It was a very short album. Only 64 minutes long, which obviously is a tad weird. But it also had a weird ending segment, which we'll get to in a minute. The opening is great. And after the 'intro', it goes straight into Culture Beat's biggest hit, 'Mr. Vain'. What a classic song that is. And it just goes on and on. What I did notice, is that the band actually had a more spiritual message, a message about Earth, relationships, and so much more. Not just some Europop trashy songs, but ones with a deeper meaning. Until you get to track 13 and 14. I don't get, to this day, why they've got these +/- 10 seconds tracks on here, where the two main artists talk about where they are and telling you what you are about to listen to. It sounds more like snippets from a radio show, during which the artists introduce their next song. Not really fitting on this album. Weird ending: they should have added 1 more track to it, or have 'Serenity' be the last track. The more 'mellow' sounding songs are OK, but they wouldn't get me dancing until the Sun comes up. It's the more faster and more vigorous songs that get me and everyone else on the dancefloor. Yes, 'Mr. Vain' is cool, but there are three records that are the best on this album. 'Serenity (Epilog)', 'Adelante!', and my most favourite, and clearly the most underrated song of Culture Beat: 'Anything'. The version on this album I do not come across that often, and it hits hard. Proper rave anthem, if the ravers actually knew it existed. A wicked album with mixed emotions attached to it. But I will have to push my emotions aside when 'Anything' comes on. One of the greatest Eurodance anthems of the 90s, that's for sure. • Revokez presents: Orange Heart 🧡 [Headhunterz Tribute Mix] (2025)

What a year it has been. It's been a tremendous year for music. And one of the artists who has been successful, is Headhunterz. I've been following his music for a few decades now, and he still keeps the entertainment level extremely high. For 22 years he has been giving us excellent music, and he doesn't stop. Well, if I'm not mistaken, he did stop performing after 2023. But then he did do a Project One set? He is still around and still making music, and that's all that matters, right? And he is certainly spreading the Orange Heart. I don't know what it is, but every song he releases, he seems to make it as catchy as possible, and make it sound extremely euphoric. To me, and that's my personal view, he started off more on the harder side, but over the years he has implemented the need to make a track more euphoric, and have more vocal elements in each song. He even got the singer from Kosheen on a few songs, how cool is that? This isn't the first mix by Revokez on our site, and it won't be the last one either. But maybe the last one of 2025. And what a mix to end the year with. A full on, hour and a half, mix of all Headhunterz songs. I couldn't wish for anything else, and it has been on repeat ever since I discovered it. I am a sucker for Headhunterz, that's a genuinely known fact. He is a fantastic producer, and I've seen a few sets online, and he nails it. Within that hour and a half, we go backward and forward in time. A bit of the old Heady, and a bit of the new Heady. Whatever you need, it is in here. All the classics, all the big hits, all the dancefloor and festival destroyers! Imagine being at a festival and NOT hear a Headhunterz track. That must be a weird event, right? Headhunterz - From Within Headhunterz - Rock Civilization Headhunterz - Hate It Or Love It (Live Edit) Headhunterz - Subsonic (Hardbass Edit) Headhunterz - Digiwave Headhunterz - A New Day Headhunterz feat Miss Palmer - Now Is The Time Headhunterz feat Malukah - Reignite Headhunterz - The Power Of Music Zedd - Spectrum (Headhunterz Remix) Headhunterz - Dragonborn Headhunterz - Destiny Headhunterz - Takin It Back Headhunterz & Sub Zero Project - Our Church Headhunterz - Still Standin Headhunterz feat Malukah - Dragonborn Part 2 Headhunterz & Sound Rush feat Eurielle & Ryan Louder - Follow Me Headhunterz - Home Headhunterz feat Sian Evans - Orange Heart Headhunterz feat Sian Evans - The Hunter And The Prey Headhunterz feat Sian Evans - Dragonborn Part 3 Headhunterz - Oxygen Sound Rush - Take It All (Headhunterz Remix) Headhunterz - The Flame Inside Illenium - Paper Thin (Headhunterz Remix) Project One - The Upside Down Headhunterz & D-Block & S-Te-Fan - Keepers Of Our Legacy Headhunterz & Vertile - Before I Wake Headhunterz & Vertile feat Sian Evans - Lost Without You Headhunterz - Live Forever A wonderful list. This brings back a lot of memories. You might look at this and think ''oh, that's too much Headhunterz'', and I would say to that ''fuck off''. You can never get too much Headhunterz. The mix could have been 8 hours long, and still sound fresh, euphoric, and dope as fuck! He has had so many great anthems under his belt, and he keep on releasing new and exciting music. I did like 'Spectrum' a LOT, and 'Our Church' is catchy as fuck, and of course 'Orange Heart', because I'm half Dutch, but 'The Flame Inside' is the one that got me excited the most. In this mix it was the one song that stood out the most, which had the most heft. Closely followed 'The Upside Down'. 2025 has been a great year for both Revokez and Headhunterz, and I hope 2026 will be an even better year. More of these excellent mixes, and more of these awesome records! I can't predict the future, but if it continues like it has been, it will be a smashing year. Time to sign off, and getting ready for Christmas. Why not make it more interesting and have this play during your Christmas dinner/lunch/breakfast, and tell Mariah to 'f*** off'. We need more of this, please! • Classic House Mix (2024)

This is the weekend of diversity. Started off with some Hardcore, then to some Jumpstyle, Breakbeat Hardcore followed, after that Trance, and now some lovely House music. There's so much good music out there, and I could not keep it from you. But this mix you are about to listen to, has already had a good amount of plays in 1 year. But all for good reasons: it is House music, and who doesn't love House music, right? We all grew up with it, and it's a safe genre. You cannot go wrong with House music. The channel who uploaded this mix, is called 'cunny_mixes'. Not sure if they are behind this mix, but if they are, they've made a cracking mix. The tracklist is a work of art, and you will know in a second why that is. But you could have a guess? It is probably because the music is ace. And that's certainly the case. It resembles the image above: people around a swimming pool (floating on water?), sun going down, and people chilling. Not really dancing, but sometimes you've got to take a short break from dancing, and start floating on water..... Before you get all excited and hope it's early House music, it isn't. It's late 90s and early 00s House music. You know all these records, as you've danced throughout the nights 20+ years ago. Life was a bit less worrisome, and the only thing we were worried about, was what the next drink was going to be. Alcoholic or non alcoholic? We had less worries, and better music. And as I mentioned before, they are safe anthems. You still hear them today, and you feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. They have become certified House classics! Blaze feat Barbara Tucker - Precious Love Todd Terry - Keep On Jumpin Johnny Corporate - Sunday Shoutin Pete Heller - Big Love (Dronez Remix) Afro Medusa - Pasilda Shapeshifters - Lola's Theme The Goodfellas - Soul Heaven Deepswing - In The Music Blaze - Do U Remember House Soulsearcher - Can't Get Enough Michael Gray - The Weekend Shakedown - At Night Jon Cutler - It's Yours Sunkids - Rescue Me Supakings - Back And Forth Lolletta Holloway - Dreamin Soul Providers - Rise Rui Da Silva - Touch Me Layo & Bushwaka - Love Story It is currently the 21st of December, and it is 8 degrees Celsius outside. Not very warm, and not pleasant. At least it's not snowing, right? But with this on, you can close your eyes and imagine a sunnier climate. Somewhere very sunny, with a nice beach, some big ass speakers, a drink in one hand and some lovely food in the other, and hearing these anthems come at you. Oh, that sounds lovely! This is an excellent mix. Good anthems. And even a few versions you might not even know, or heard of. A nice blend, and the 71 minutes do fly by before you know it. 20k+ listens so far, and the numbers will only go up and up, because it's a nice and tight mix, and the songs are beautiful! Seriously beautiful. There are two tracks in here I truly adore. ''Rise'' is one amazing track, and reminds me of Innercity 2000 (saw them live there), and 'It's Yours'. I remember receiving a free CD at Sensation White 2001 from a tobacco company in conjunction with ID&T, and this song was on there. You won't find the album anywhere, but it was a very good album, on which this was one of the finest songs on it. I can't wait for more of these mixes. I'll check their Soundcloud channel for more House mixes. Bring back the classics, and bring back this sound! We need it now more than ever! • Vocal Trance Tonight And Forever - Episode 29 (2025)

It's the last Sunday before Christmas. And I bet you my life that the shops are all busy right now. Or the Amazon drivers are clogging up the roads with all the deliveries. I could not imagine anything worst to do right now: shopping must be horrendous. A horrendous experience no-one wants to witness or go through. Best to stay at home and listen to a mix I was informed about a couple of days ago. Much better, and much cosier too. It is raining outside too, so stay warm and dry inside. And have this blasting out loud. It's yet another mix by bbtomie, and this time the focus lies with tracks which contains good vocals. Vocals make or break a song, right? And when it comes to Trance music, the vocals can take it all the way up, way up in the stratosphere. Or plummet it all the way down, to the deepest depths of Hell. Trance vocals always seem to be more emotional, if you compare it to other genres/styles, such as Hardstyle, House, Hardcore, and more. I can have it either way: with or without vocals. A good Trance track does not need vocals, but when it does, it becomes even better. This hour long mix contains only 10 records, and they all have fantastic vocalists on each of them. And it is really needed to hear good Trance anthems: I'm getting a bit annoyed, hearing those Christmas anthems. Much rather prefer this over any Christmas song. So what's in store? Well, these anthems: Reflekt feat Delline Bass - Need To Feel Loved (Thrillseekers Remix) Lange feat Kirsty Hawkshaw - Sincere For You (Thrillseekers Remix) Matt Hardwick vs Smith & Pledger - Connected Davy van Eynde feat Fara - Irawadi (I'm Leaving) (Duderstadt Vocal Mix) Chicane feat Bryan Adams - Don't Give Up 2004 (Alex Gold & The Sound Xpress Mix) Tenth Planet - Ghosts (Vincent De Moor Remix) Koris vs DJule - Sensor Of Time (M.O.R.P.H. vs Scirocco Remix) Tilt - Invisible (Lost Tribe Vocal Mix (Matt Darey & R. Jerry)) Signum - Come Around Again (DJ Danjo & Rob Styles Remix) Above & Beyond - Far From In Love It's another solid mix. With only 10 records in this mix, it's a short one, but very powerful mix. The tracks on their own are very good, but put together, it gives you an hour of pure bliss. This is the kind of Trance I really like. Good vocals, and good tracks. The hour has gone by without hesitation. And each track has left a mark on my brain, especially the biggest track of them all. Those vocals, by Bryan Adams, were EVERYWHERE when it was released. You could not put on a radio show without hearing him blasting out the words ''Don't Give Up''. And that's already 2 decades ago?! My God, where has the time gone. ''Need To Feel Loved'' is also a fantastic anthem. A good track to start with, that's for sure. But the one that did the most damage, because of the vocals, has to be 'Come Around Again'. Sweet Lord, what an anthem. The original was great, but this remix is also very excellent. bbtomie's mix is yet another wicked one. Hope he does more of these vocal ones, as there are millions of awesome records out there, not discovered yet, or forgotten about, which deserve more credits. But for now, put this on instead of Christmas songs. You'll thank me later! • Mogley - SK Mannerz Weekend - Energy1058 (2) (2025)

From Hardcore to Jumpstyle, to Hardcore. I've been listening to a lot lately, and Mogley's set was one of those sets which I did devour. It's been an interesting couple of weeks. Interestingly enough for me to wish 2025 to be well behind me. Bring on 2026. And let's go into the new year with some proper oldskool slammers. Mogley made this mix especially for the SK Mannerz Tribute weekend on Energy1058. And a tribute mix is always special to hear. Not an avid listener of Energy 1058, but SK Mannerz was someone important who unfortunately passed away. The tribute was made especially for this tribute weekend, and the result is a very wicked mix. A lot of early rave anthems, and he kicked his set off with some legendary Prodigy anthem. And the mix continues. It's an hour full of early goodies. And we are all massive fans of the early sound, aren't we? I've listened to this mix over and over, and I would highly recommend it, as the music always brings a smile on my face. Some Hardcore, Breakbeat, Jungle Techno, oldskool, and nuskool. Everything you want to hear. And it also contains a few records I've not heard before. But what has to be said, is the fact that this is a very nice tribute mix, but the hour does fly by quicker than ever. Before you know it, you are already one hour ahead, and look back in awe: where have those 60 minutes gone to? The Prodigy - Everybody In The Place (155 And Rising) Rachel Wallace - Tell Me Why (E-Type Remix) Structural Damage - The Unforgettable Feeling DJ Junk - Gold Stars Fast Floor - Phlight Of The Innovators (Remix) Freshtrax - Version Excursion Innercore feat Lilliana - Chequered Floor Dead By '94 - Drop The Needle The Prodigy - Weather Experience (Top Buzz Remix) Outer Time - Beware Of My Love International Rude Boyz - Drum Programme (Remix) Enzyme & Malice - Colonies Enzyme - Bass Driver Vinyl Junkie & Sanxion - Just Easy Neuromancer - Pennywise (2 Twisted Mix) The Prodigy - G-Force (Energy Flow) Hyper On Experience - Thundergrip (Pete Cannon Remix) Ramos & Supreme - Crowd Control (Pete Cannon Remix) Jack In Box x Darwin - Not Colourblind A mix is always made better with The Prodigy songs in it, right? Can't go wrong with The Prodigy. But there's so much more to this mix. It has got a very pleasant flow. The hour does fly by before your eyes. Last year, when I discovered Mogley, his mix made me interested, and a year later, I'm still interested in the sound he represents on Energy 1058. I don't have the actual time to listen live, but thankfully we've got Soundcloud. Some lovely anthems in here, but you all know that I love my music to be rougher and tougher, and 'Version Excursion' is just that track for me. Fast and vigorous, just how I love my music. And the simple lyrics 'version excursion' will remain in your head for hours, if not days. I've thoroughly liked this mix a lot. Worth checking out, and if you want to hear more, why not check our Energy 1058? There are plenty of other DJs on here, representing the old and nuskool. And those are the only two skools we actually give a shit about. Who cares about school, when you've got the oldskool and nuskool? • Sodomising the Earth #15 (2025)

Growing up, Jumpstyle would be everywhere. And I certainly listened to many mixes online. I can't remember which website it was, but it was filled with homemade sets. And I downloaded hundreds, if not, thousands of mixes, and they were listened to a lot. Jumpstyle was so damn cool, and especially certain tracks, they would get me off my chair, and jumping up and down. Not the silly dance the kids did, that was just idiotic. But the music was awesome, and I do miss it. It is a shame it went down the way it went. It died quickly in 2007.... But it is certainly missed a lot. I bought so many albums and listened to so many mixes, I can still dream them, imagine them in my head. But did it completely disappear? Not really, it went more underground, and can still be heard here and there, mainly at parties where Freestyle is played. It is still an important part of dance music history, and we should embrace it. Again, not the dance, as that was a tad silly, and too commercialised. But the music. That's all that matters. I did love it a lot, until certain songs appeared in the top 40, and even Scooter joined the madness. That was for the time to jump ship, and discovered other styles, or rediscovered those which I've loved before but fell out of love with. But deep down inside, I still love Jumpstyle a lot, hence why I was a happy chap when I discovered the latest mix by Sodom and Gomorrah. 48 minutes long, and 31 tracks. That's like how the mixes used to be, right? Sodom & Gomorrah - Intro Furax - Fuck Orgus (Dr. Rude Remix) DJ Fox feat Chicago Zone - Just A Melody The Game - Crash Test (T-Nikko & Bjorn Smith Remix) Xtortion - The Ultim8 Sodom & Gomorrah - Rough Stuff (Extended Edit) Dustin Hertz, Da Rick & Pat B - Ketamine Ruthless & Orphan - Bass Droppin 9 Milliz - Shikaka (Extended Mix) Lethal MG - Youeternal (Official Bootleg) (Ronald V Remix) Francois & Pat B - Mix The Master Sodom & Gomorrah - Terminate (Demo) The Dreamteam - Thunderball (Serano Remix) Vorwek - Cambodia (Sodom & Gomorrah x BLVCKPRINT Remix) Lethal MG - Mary Go Wild (The Insiders Bootleg) GJ Warez - Popcorn Dustin Hertz & BLVCKPRINT - Disconnected (Sodom & Gomorrah Vocal) Polycarpus - Soda Pop DJ Fox - Again's A Melody DJ Coone - Infected (Original Mix) Lethal MG - Pandemonium Robert Armani - Hit Hard (Sodom & Gomorrah Edit) Relic - The Hard Dancer (Sodom & Gomorrah Edit) Polycarpus - Hypnotized Jeckyll & Hyde - The Flipside Dave Davis - Transfiguration (Lethal MG Remix ) Ruthless & GJ Warez - What's Wrong Sodom & Gomorrah - Bells Of Awakening (Extended Mix) Chicago Zone - Speaker Antonio & Cristiano - Dirty Cash Sodom & Gomorrah - Eschata This is a very nice mix, with some amazing tracks. Nostalgic feelings I am currently experiencing. I feel young again. Haven't really got the body anymore, as I'm now 20 years older, but in my head I'm still 20 years younger, and very active on the dancefloor. This sound is truly missed. But it is still kept alive, and you can even find a few Sodom & Gomorrah records. I've not heard them before, but they certainly nailed the Jumpstyle sound from back in the day. That sound cannot be forgotten, as it certainly has some heft to it. And both Sodom and Gomorrah picked a few epic records from back in the day. Seeing Lethal MG and Chicago Zone, that's always a win for me. But the track that got me feeling young and energetic, it has to be ''Crash Test''. That's a track that screams Jumpstyle to me. Maybe an underrated record, but certainly one I enjoy a lot. Not so much my car speakers, as they are trembling in the door panels. But they should not have been speakers if they disliked music, right? A wicked mix. That's all I can say. And if you like this mix, there's 14 other mixes you can check out. And I would urge you to do so, as there's so much more to discover. Final note: bring back the Jumpstyle sound from back in the day. Not the commercial rubbish, but the proper anthems. And don't tell Scooter, as they might ruin a style yet again. We don't want that malarky to happen again. • Thunderdome Mini Tribute (2025)

I am a Thunderdome baby. Well, technically not true, but I am true to the brand. I am loyal. And like many others, during the 90s, I've bought everything imaginable. From CDs to t-shirts to special editions, and even went to a Thunderdome. Not had the honour of having the Wizard tattooed on my skin: I am a bit of a wimp. But everything else I did do, and the main honour for me, and many around me, was the fact that I played the albums over and over. I drove everyone around me absolutely mad, and I could not care. I was, and still am, a Thunderdome fan! The Wizard has followed me everywhere throughout the 90s, and I did collect every single CD I could find. I think I stopped around 2004/2005, when the CDs weren't my cup of tea anymore. And it missed the legendary artwork. It wasn't like it used to be. And I ventured into other styles too. I tried to buy new albums, but the direction the brand went into, it wasn't for me. So I left the 'newer' albums behind, and stayed true to the 90s and early 00s. The last couple of years, after Thunderdome sets being uploaded onto YouTube, I started to feel 'young' again, and required a bit more Thunderdome in my life. Obviously I went back to the classic albums, but those new live sets on YouTube, they did do something to me. There was hope. 3 Steps Ahead Tribute, The Dreamteam back together, and all those great, legendary acts, on stage. Not a fan of any of the Uptempo sets or Frenchcore sets, but the classics still do enough damage to my eardrums. Why am I talking about this? Well, it's because I've been listening to a set by The Finnishing Dutch, and it contains a few of the Thunderdome anthems, new and old. A nice mixture of everything. Unfortunately not ALL the anthems, but 11 of them. Which is still sufficient. And it's the newer anthems, which I've not paid attention to, who are certainly making me open my ears again. They peak my interest, to say the least. Bass-D & King Matthew - The Thunder Anthem DJ Delirium - Dance Or Die (DJ Delirium Remix) DJ Weirdo - The Thunder Anthem (Weird Siren Mix) Promo - Feel The Thunder Nosferatu & Tha Playah - Move As One (Official Thunderdome 2025 Anthem) Ophidian - Who You Are Nosferatu - Destination: Thunderdome (Official Anthem 2024) Mad Dog - Xtreme Audio (Official Thunderdome 2023 Anthem) DJ Dano - Welcome To The Thunderdome 50% Of The Dreamteam - The Thundertheme 3 Steps Ahead - The Thunder Anthem (Thunderscream) Wow. This is cool. 11 of the anthems all in one short mix. And as much as I love Tina Turner screaming ''Thunderdome'', the newer, darker and manlier vocals also does a lot of damage. And it makes me feel something in my belly. I don't know what it is. But just the word gives me goose bumps. I have to admit, that 'The Thunder Anthem' by Weirdo, that's my least favourite anthem. AC/DC in this song? That just ruins it for me. But that was Weirdo back in the day. Not the best anthem unfortunately. Obviously one of the greatest ever made, is by Dano. His 'Welcome To The Thunderdome' is an anthem that gets everyone dancing/raving. Iconic, legendary, and now the follow-up comment, which might be a bit controversial: the anthems from 2023, 2024, and 2025, they are better than the song by Dano! Yes, it is true. As good as it is, those 3 years have give us anthems so freaking good, and they still made them feel and sound new and old at the same time, yet still being unique and refreshing. Those three anthems resemble the new generation and the old, all in one. It's a very nice but short mix. I do miss a few anthems. Maybe one day we will get the full anthem-back catalogue mix by The Finnishing Dutch? I couldn't get enough of this mix, so maybe we might get a mix one day. Who knows? The only thing I do know, is that I'm Thunderdome until the day I die. And I will dance, not die! Like Hardcore, it will be a legacy I will keep with me, forever and ever. • Here Comes The Sun '08 (2016)

It isn't sunny anymore, nor is it Summer anymore. It is quite pleasant outside though: currently the temperature is 11 degrees Celsius, which is quite mild for mid December. Global warming isn't just a myth though. But it isn't in full effect yet, as we are still not wearing flip flops in the winter, or ditching the thick coats. At night it does get a bit chilly, and we still have the thick quilt on the bed. The only thing that keeps me warm throughout the day is the music, and what a fantastic mix have I found today for you all!? It's an 'oldie' but golden one. Another mix by the famous channel 'History Of Happy Hardcore', and it's yet another non-Happy Hardcore mix. Truth be told, there are more than 700 mixes on their page, and the chance to find anything but Happy Hardcore is probably very high. You might wonder how I found this 9 year old mix among all the hundreds of mixes on their page? Well, there's a reasonable explanation for that. I have been on a nostalgic trip down memory lane, and have been watching/listening a lot of Sensation White CDs. And I do mean a lot. I think I listened to all from 2000 to 2008, and I have to conclude that dance music was much better back then. One of the tracks, which was played by DJ Chuckie in 2008, makes an appearance in this mix, hence why I discovered this mix, and now I'm all over it. 2008 was a wicked year for music, in general. Just have a quick glance at the list below, and you'll know exactly what I mean! Chicane vs Natasha Bedingfield - Bruised Water (Mischa Daniels Club Mix) Kristine Blond - Loveshy (Allan King 2008 Remix) Axwell - Together (Albin Myers Remix) Delirium - Silence (Niels van Gogh vs Thomas Gold Remix) Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar (Out Of Office Remix) Dabruck & Klein - Cars (Tommy Trash Remix) Paul Johnson - Get Get Down (Jason Rooney Remix) D.Ramirez feat TC - With Me Or Against Me (Original Club Mix) Ce Ce Peniston - Finally 2008 (Kam Denny & Paul Zala Remix) DJ Sender - Operator (Dabruck & Klein Remix) Arno Cost - Souvenir Cassius - Sound Of Violence (Teo Moss & Fredelux Remix) Syke 'N' Sugarstarr - No Love Lost (D.O.N.S. & DBN Remix) Tom Novy vs Snap - Rhythm Is A Dancer 2008 This is a throwback mix to 2008! What a fantastic year it was, and these songs surely make you wish you could go back, 17 years in time, and relive those glorious moments. They are long gone, way behind us, but at least we've got mixes like this one. What a smile inducing mix. I'm sitting here, smiling, and enjoying life. Yes, the weather might not be suitable for this mix, but deep down inside I'm glowing. I'm hot. But that could also be because I'm sitting near a radiator. Who knows? The HOHH have made a wonderful mix, and it went unnoticed by so many. Not like their usual mixes. Don't really know why though, this mix deserves more credit. And we need more mixes dedicated to the year 2008. In my head it was the year of the remixes, or the reworks or mashups. Am I wrong in assuming that? Let's dive straight in: favourite song. ''Together''. Nothing can compete with this song. A seriously underrated song I've not heard in at least a decade. Bring back these hidden gems, and make them known to all on the dancefloors, all over the world. HOHH, you've done it again. A wonderful mix. The weekend can now officially start! • I Think I Love You UK Hardcore (2025)

It's been a weird few weeks. Unpleasant weeks. And it just continues. Which is certainly unpleasant, but we are to try and find some kind of happiness among it all. And I've found something which certainly makes me happier. A UK Hardcore mix by Lone Raver. It's been on Soundcloud for a few months, and has had good reviews so far, and I'm slowly going up the Top Fans list on Soundcloud. You'll know why in a second! I have felt the same as the Lone Raver. He fell out of love with UKHC, but now he has regained his love again, which led to this mix. And of course there's an added bonus: it is linked to one of his own releases. But it contains a lot of new music I've not heard before, and it's a very special mix. It is getting me through some darker times now. I'm fine, it is just everything around me. Don't worry about me too much: I've got this mix, and it is making me extremely happy! Obviously I've got a lot to catch up on, and all the tracks in this mix were unknown to me. Not that much focussed on UKHC at the moment, but maybe I should reinvest some time into this music, as it brought me a lot of happiness. And it's a nice blend of everything new and exciting. And it certainly sounds fresh as fuck! Brett Cooper feat Nya - In My Dreams Diakronik - Home Ectomorph & M-Rei - Hold Me Tonight Alaguan & Al Storm - Rushin' Around (Back To 2009 Mix) Jack In Box & Darwin - Beautiful Maze Diakronik - Medicine Of Love Flakee, DBL & Darwin - Good Without Technikore feat Lisa Abbott - My Intention (HTID Mix) Brett Cooper - Dreams Fracus feat Fraz - Save Our Love (2025 Mix) Jack In Box & Darwin - Every Moment (Back 2 2005 Mix) Alaguan - Balance Fracus & Jack In Box - I Don't Need You Eufeion - Jump Up Lone Raver - Think I Love You (On Top) An amazing looking tracklist. Not come across these songs before, but once I started listening to this mix, they've not left me. This mix has been on repeat for the last couple of days, and even today, starting at 7am, it has been on for 9 hours continuously. This is a very happy mix, with some very happy tunes. Beautiful and happy at the same time. It has brought a smile on my face, and has given me enough information to get my life back on track, and move forward with a huge smile on my face. Obviously, if you've not encountered the Lone Raver before, you might appreciate the closing track, which is his own. It wouldn't surprise me if you like all 15 records, like I do. But unfortunately, my favourite record in this mix has to be 'I Don't Need You' by Fracus and Jack In Box. Such a big anthem, love it. Go and jump on this right away, you won't be disappointed. You might even have a smile as big as mine. Who knows, only one way to find out! • Rave Tape's Vol.1 - White Dove (2025)

Isn't it wonderful, to find mixes/livesets and there's not a lot of info available? This is one of those: a nearly 2 hour long set, and the only bit of info is that this set was recorded at Doncaster Warehouse back in December 1994. And that's all there is to it. Not much more information available. Who made this set, and how come a set recorded in 1994 sounds so damn good? I mean the actual audio recording. It sounds so damn good. Which is weird. But it's a good set, nonetheless. It takes us all back to 1994, and the fantastic songs released. Whoever did this set, it's a remarkable one, and the 53 songs selected are all fantastically good. They dominated the Hardcore scene everywhere. And as a little raver myself, in 1994, I started to get used to it, and listened to as much as I could muster. But as a young lad, you try your best to listen to everything. And this set has got everything. A mixture of UK and European Hardcore/Gabber. And the nice touch, which you might appreciate, is the audience. You can hear them in the background, alive and kicking. Which does make me wonder, if this is indeed a set from 1994, and it poses another question: how did they get the quality up to 2025 standards? How's that possible? I remember hearing all these sets back in the day, and the quality was shockingly bad. But this one seems to be the best of the best. Amazing. If you haven't checked it out yet, here's the tracklist: 1. Q-Tex - Acidulous 2. Acid Heads - Acid Thunder 3. Sub Source - Hardcore Anthem 4. Hocus Pocus - Here's Johnny 5. Renegade Static - We'll Delete The Weak 6. Mr. Brown - Jump 7. Dance Overdose - Overdose Stomp 8. Dr. Pravda - Krankenhaus 9. Technotrance - YRS Stomp 10. Ramos, Supreme, Sunset Regime - Metamorphosis 11. Genaside - Reactor 12. D-Tox - Thrash 13. Charley Lownoise & Mental Theo - Live At London 14. Active Force - Head Like A Pac Man 15. Ultimate Buzz - N-R-Gize 16. Marc Smith - Techno Dup 17. Scott Brown & Omar Santana - Ain't It Wild 18. Scott Brown - Brain-Damaged 19. Too Fast For Mellow - We Gonna Get This Place 20. Darrien Kelly & Scott Brown - Meer Kaas 21. Ni-Cad - Brainwash 22. Chosen Few - Gabberdam 23. Predator - 1, 2, 3, 4 24. Bodylotion - Rock Until The End 25. Bodylotion - Hurt You Bad 26. Bertocucci Feranzano - XTC Love 27. The Bazeman - Can You Feel The Baze 28. The Wasteland - Is It Acceptable 29. Darrien Kelly & Scott Brown - Vijandelijk 30. Lord Of Hardcore - Hellbound 31. Sulfurex - Point Break 32. Lord Of Hardcore - Attack The Dancefloor 33. Genaside - Eliminator 34. Prototype - Mental Floss 35. Lenny Dee & Darrien Kelly - Speed Bump 36. Bald Terror - Drummachine 37. T.N.T. - Brainwash Killer 38. The Nightraver - So 39. Davie Forbes - Fallout 40. T.T.C. - Where Angels Fear To Tread 41. Cyclopede - Bad Motherfucker 42. Rexantthony - For You Marlene 43. Creepozoids - One More Time 44. Search & Destroy - Madness Revisited 45. Juggernaut - Communism 46. Juggernaut - Don't Fuck With A Ruffneck 47. Charley Lownoise & Mental Theo - Ultimate Sex Track 48. Haardcore - Toxic 49. Nasty Django - Hardcore Mothafucka 50. Predator - Mind Of A Lunatic 51. Wavelan - It Will Stand 52. Nasenbluten - Concrete Compressor 53. Chosen Few - After Hourz A fantastic trip down memory lane, with some heavy hitters. I've had this mix on repeat for the last few weeks, and it has made me happy. Some of these tracks I've not heard in a while, and in this mix, they all come together, and it works extremely well. Whoever made this set, credit where credit is due. A solid set, no errors, and a cracking set overall. Obviously it's made better due to the excellent songs selected. And 1994 was a fantastic year for Hardcore. And there are too many awesome tracks to choose from, but it has to be the best song of 1994. T.N.T.'s ''Brainwash Killer''. Such a classic, and a powerful anthem too. You could not listen to an album or a cassette without this song on it. No nonsense, just stomping hard Hardcore from the early 90s. I could not wish for anything more, or less. This brought a smile on my face, and made me stomp my feet harder than ever before. A pure nostalgic trip for me, and if you are into this kind of music, you will love this set too. Still curious to find out who made this set. And how the fuck it can be in such an awesome recording quality? How's that possible? • Rave The X-Mass (1993)

I was genuinely under the impression that I did review this CD many years ago, but I can't find it on my website. Maybe on a previous iteration of the site, maybe? But that got lost due to some Trojan horse viruses, so we are f**ked. So here's a review which might have been one I already did many years ago, or not. No one knows. Only Santa Claus knows. And he knows everything: if you've been nice, or not nice. He carries that magical book with him, and in it, you can find literally everything. Including the knowledge of me writing this review in the past. Santa, if you are out there, please give me a sign! He's not given me a sign. So let's pretend it never happened. Well, the CD I've listened to over the last few days, is a special one. Not many of these were made, and it was only a thing during the early 90s. Christmas Hardcore/Gabber CDs. Now that's a statement I thought I'd never make. And it feels weird to say. Christmas and Hardcore music, that doesn't go together, it doesn't blend. Or does it? If we go by the demand from the raving community, there's no such demand at all, and they quietly decided to make it go away. Rave The City is a well know concept within the Hardcore/Gabber world, and played a huge part in the development of Hardcore. In 1993, they tried to make a CD that could be sold during the festive season, and to see if this would catch on. It didn't, and even though I don't know the sales volume (numbers sold), I can imagine that they weren't high. It was weird, hearing Hardcore songs with Christmas elements, like all the bells and whistles. It was the early days of Hardcore, and it was trying everything. To no avail. No one was waiting for this, nor was the world ready for it. This sub-genre can be seen as quite niche, and obscure. Over the years there have been this resurgence of people who think this is cool and exciting, and I'm one of those people. Not sure when I bought this CD, but it must have been after it was released in 1993, and when it was a tad cheaper, as I would not spend any hard earned Dutch Guilders on this. DJ Paul - Hosanna Jesus On Speed - Jingle Hell DJ Gizmo - Ghost Of X-Mass Future Noise Gate - The Magic Sack Gate 6 - The Snowman Scrooge - X-Mass Alone Underground Dwarfs - True Mean Christmas (Freestyle Incl. With Santa) The Falcon - Speed Battle D & F - No Sleep 'Till X-Mass Bang Crosby - I'm Dreaming The Triplets - Marry X-Mazz Silverbells - Ring My Christmas Bells Sensor - Rudolf The Rednose Ravedeer Claus S - Family X-Mass X-Mass Raver - Hallelujah Scarface - Santawaus It isn't looking great, does it? Just looking at the tracklist, you know there's going to be some cheese in it. And trust me when I say, there's cheese AND a lot of Christmas glitter sprinkled over all the songs. But you know me, I love a bit of cheese. And this CD has been with me for many years. I still own it, not physically, but digitally. Threw away all my CDs about 7 years ago, as my cars didn't have a CD player, so what was the point. Burned them all onto a hard drive, and rediscovered this CD a few weeks ago. And we are going into the festive season, so why not give this yet another listen? It is a bad CD, but oh so funny. I couldn't imagine it being played at a major rave nowadays, like Thunderdome or Masters Of Hardcore. It just wouldn't be right. But for little parties, which are focussed on the festive season, it would work. And it could be a guilty pleasure thing: driving in your car, listening to Hardcore/Gabber Christmas songs. As this was still the early years of Hardcore, it feels slightly unpolished. Rough and raw. But as niche as it is, I do like it. Especially 'The Magic Sack'. That's a true Christmas banger. Worst one? 'I'm Dreaming'. But they are all as good and as bad as each other. It is difficult to describe it, but it's weird to listen to this one. It's a funny CD. Fun to have. Not valuable or cherished, but surely entertaining. It's something different, and maybe slightly better than the Thunderdome Christmas CDs. The best of the worst. Couldn't make it up, really! • Keeping it Ardcore 3 (2025)

Saturday. For many the time to get ready for a night out. I'm not. It's too damn cold, and had to get the house ready for Christmas. The tree had already been set up last week, but that was such an ordeal, we decided to split into two bits: tree last week, this week the rest. But as the weather was absolutely crap today, we left the outside bits for next week. And we also did not have enough batteries to make them all shine as bright, so that's for next week. But our house looks snazzy, after a bit of a cleaning and redecorating session. All thanks to me and the missus. And secretly some Hardcore too. Not the Dutch Hardcore, but some lovely UK Hardcore. The DJ Crossfire uploaded a mix a few days ago, and I've been all over this mix. Soundcloud doesn't show it unfortunately, but I have been listening to this vigorously. You don't see that many UK Hardcore mixes on Soundcloud, or maybe that's down to the algorithm? Who knows. But when I do spot one, I'm all over it. And it came with a tracklist, which is always an added bonus. And it's full of tracks I've not heard in a while. And within a second I felt a few years younger again, listening to those mixtapes. You remember those, right, or is that just me? I was a full on mixtape fanatic, and could not stop listening to them. And now I get the chance to relive those golden years again. And The DJ Crossfire picked some classic anthems, totally forgotten about. But oh so damn good to hear again. B.B.E. - 7 Days In 1 Week (Joey Riot Remix) Joey Riot feat Kelly C - The Power Within Darwin & Obie vs Mr E - Hits You Like Thunder Marc Smith - Gravity (Gammer's Ever So Slight Re-Edit) Marc Smith - Pump Up Da Noize 2010 DJ Pikey - Renegade Brisk & Stormtrooper - Feel The Friction Pikey vs Joey Riot - That Bouncy Track Sharkey & CLSM - Wicked MC (Marc Smith Remix) Darwin - Coral Beach Nu Foundation - In Kontrol (Bonkers Mix) Scott Brown - Viroid (Nu Foundation Remix) AMS - Greedy Bastards Kevin Energy & Marc Smith - That's The Hardcore (AMS Remix) Sharkey & Arkitech - Dual Illumination (Arkitech's HHC Remix) Be honest, how often do you hear these tracks, or when did you last encounter them? It must have been a while, right? It's nice to hear them again, they make me feel fuzzy on the inside. And that's exactly what I needed to hear. Those glorious UK Hardcore anthems again. Yes, this page has been focussed on other genres lately, but every so often I do love to go back to the main reason I started blogging: to share the love I have for UK Hardcore. And unfortunately my love has not transferred to others in the Netherlands (I lived there when I started blogging). So I still feel blessed, honoured, and yet disappointed that this kind of music did not take off. Such a shame. The DJ Crossfire's selection is really great. So many beautiful records. But the one that makes me smile the most, is the most diverse track of them all, ''Coral Beach''. Leave it to Darwin to make something that represents the 90s, 00s, and the future. What a blinding record. I can only share my love and enthusiasm for this mix, like I've been doing for 15+ years. And I hope my love for UK Hardcore never dies. It would be such a waste, to loose the main reason I am The Crazy Dutchman. Keep those mixes coming, and make more 'mixtapes', please. More of this. • Iridium DJ Presents a Tribute to Sensation Black - November 2025

Oh, the good old days. I remember it extremely well. Most of it, at least. Mostly up until the moment I got wasted, and forgot everything that happened after. But when it comes to Sensation, I remember it all. Sensation 2002 White Edition was superb. I did go to that event, as the people I went with, weren't into the harder styles. I was (and still am), a bit bummed, as I really wanted to go to it. And the mystery surrounding Sensation Black got me even more hyped up after buying the CD. Boy, was Sensation Black not great, and wasn't the music freaking good? What became this well known and loved event, quickly grew in size. From the first edition in 2002, it held its name and legacy up until 2007, when it was announced it would undergo a small change, and would be called ''Black'' from that year onward. I don't really know why, or what the purpose was, but to me, the name change wasn't needed. I still consider Black to be part of the Sensation experience. It was only a thing until they pulled the plug in 2012. Sensation itself continued for a few more years, but Black was no more. I did love those CDs, and bought them up until the 2007 edition. After, it wasn't for me anymore. And the white editions, well, they changed too, and it became less of a thing for me. Which is seriously a shame, as I had a blast during those early Millennium years. As great as White was, the Black CDs were just astonishingly good, and had some memorable anthems on them. And you've guessed it: the mix you are about to listen to, contains some of the finest songs from those CDs. Mixed together by Iridium DJ! Sensation Black Intro Fierce Ruling Diva - Rubb It In (Raoul Luciano Remix) Benjamin Bates - Locked Up! (Tin Men Sensational Rework) X-press 2 - Smoke Machine Cirez D - Control Freak Mauro Picotto & Riccardo Ferri - New Time New Place System F - Dance Valley Theme 2001 Marco V - More Than A Life Away (Original Mix) Sander van Doorn - A.K.A. (Sander van Doorn Remix) Remy & Roland Klinkenberg - Till Ya Drop Mauro Picotto & Riccardo Ferri - Alchemist Marco V - Atlanta 02022002 Don Diablo - Anarchy (Don Diablo vs Meredith Mix) Marcel Woods - Static State (Original Mix) Armani & Ghost - Funk That Lambda - Hold On Tight (Kaylab & Reeloop Remix) DJ Frost - Poison (Grey & Frost Club Mix) E-Craig - The Beat Goes On (Sam Sharp Remix) Sa.Vee.Oh - Loop Hole (Original Mix) DJ Luna - Mindspace Tommy Pulse - Land Of The Lost Norman DJ - Go Back (DJ Session One 303 Remix) Essential-DJ-Team - Bad Boyz (Club Mix) Walt - Bring The Pain DJ Jorn - This Is Your Brain (Original Mix) Ultra Tech - Bel-E-Ve The Beholder & Max Enforcer - Pulse Protraction (Bitcrusher Mix) U-Turn - Dead End (Original Mix) Sensation - The Anthem 2002 (Dana Remix) What a tracklist. This takes me back 2 decades! The kids nowadays don't know what good music is, and how good the music was for us. This is just great, wholesome music. And music that could keep us away from our mobile phones, and raving throughout the night. Granted, drinks were a bit more affordable and so was the entry price, but still. Good and fun times. Got to catch the bull by the horns, and have to say the following: Iridium DJ, this is a Sensation Black focussed mix, right? What's happening with track number 7? Dance Valley theme? Lol. Not the same event! And to me, one of the worst anthems ever made. So bland, and the breakbeat segment in the middle just doesn't do it for me. Not a Sensation track, and not a great song overall. But everything else is. I've danced the night away with all these tunes, and have got fond memories with all of them. Those Black CDs ruled my Millennium years, and I have devoured them like never before. I've had multiple copies of them, as I ruined them by playing them over and over, and scratches took over. Tricky now, to determine my favourite record. ''Smoke Machine'' is such a great record, ''Control Freak'' has certainly got that darkness element I miss, ''Bring The Pain'' doesn't bring me any, ''The Anthem 2002'' one of Dana's best remixes, but ''Hold On Tight'', that has to be the best one in this mix. And an underrated song, to say the least. Sensation Black, like many other events organised by ID&T back in the day, holds a lot of memories, and I'm gutted those events disappeared. Time moves forward at such a tremendous pace, I cannot keep up anymore. Why is time moving forward? Couldn't we just go back to 2002-2007 and be dancing until the night fades into the early hours of the next day, and we all stumble back to our homes, with that beeping sound in our ears, and headaches for days? Boy, I miss the good old days. • Tranceformerz Presents Classic Trance Anthems Reworked (2025)

It is Tuesday, Trance Tuesday! Don't know if it is an official term, but if it isn't, I'll make it official. You've heard it here first. But what you might not have heard, is this brand spanking new mix by TranceAdikt. And the mix is filled with Trance classics, which I love, so that's always a bonus. But what could be even better, are the reworked versions of these classics. A few months ago I discovered a mix which contained similar tracks, and I really loved it. This reworked vibe, we need to keep it alive. Keep the classics alive and kicking, by reworking them! Obviously nothing can compete with the proper classics. That's just a statement you can rely on. Nothing is as good as those glorious anthems. But sometimes, a rework or remake, or even a remix, can make it sound even better. That's not always the case, as the original can be so damn good, nothing can top it. But it can elevate a record to an even higher level. And in rare occasions, it can even be a fantastic experience, to hear a rework that sounds better than the original. It is a rarity and it doesn't occur that often. But every so often you hear it, and you immediately prefer it over the well known record. This is a nice and gentle mix, with 15 records, of which you know the originals. But these are reworks you might have heard before. To be fair, I've not heard any of them before, so I went into this mix without any judgment. Going in blind, and was pleasantly surprised. Not the first mix I've encountered from TranceAdikt or the channel which posted this, TranceFormerz. But certainly one I was interested in, and so should you! Mauro Picotto - Komodo (Lilly Palmer Extended Mix) Tiesto - Lethal Industry (ALAT Remix) Armin van Buuren & Adam Beyer vs D-Shake - Techno Trance (Extended Mix) Svenson & Gielen x Nifra - The Beauty Of Silence (Extended Mix) Neal Scarborough - Madagascar (Sophie Sugar Remix) Ultra Shock - The Sound Of E (Jorn van Deynhoven Extended Remix) Insigma - Open Your Eyes (Asteroid Extended Remix) 4 Strings - Take Me Away (Arbe & Dann Rework) Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes (Tymo White Rework) Lange & The Morrighan - Follow Me (Sky Sound Bangin' Mix) Rank 1 - Airwave (Gaia-X Extended Remix) Hi-Gate - Pitchin' (Andy Newtz Newtralized Remix) Gouryella - Gouryella (Andy Newtz Newtralized Remix) Quench - Dreams (Nicholson's Extended Cathedral Remix) Zombie Nation - Kernkraft 400 (Ezequiel Lovera Rework) Wonderful mix. What a tracklist, one I wasn't expecting. And it takes you on a pleasant journey through the Trance classics selected by TranceAdikt. It's a nice selection. Great to hear on this cold and miserable Tuesday evening. And so many great memories are linked to the original versions. But we aren't talking about the originals, we are talking about the reworks. And they are great, really great. I don't think I've heard these songs before, so I was kind of baffled to hear them at first, but I've warmed up to them. Especially when I heard ''Dreams''. What a magical song. Love it. It builds up to a tremendous moment, when everything just comes together. Unfortunately it has got ''Kernkraft 400''. That's the only downside to this mix. Boy, do I dislike the original. That song is like the flu, it's everywhere, constantly. And it gets in my face a lot. When it was new, it was exciting and fun. Now it's just meh. And the rework isn't for me, as it reminds me too much of the original. A great mix nonetheless. Worth checking out, if you want to hear something familiar yet slightly different. Open your mind to something exciting, and this mix won't disappoint. • Revokez presents: An Ode To The Early Days Of Hardstyle (2025)

Last week, or the week before, an event took place in the Brabanthallen in 's Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. The event is called ''Vroeger Was Alles Beter'', and it translates to something similar to ''things used to be beter back in the day''. Obviously referring to the music from the good old days. And I do wholeheartedly agree. Someone who went to this event, had a whale of a time, and decided to make a mix, to honour the early days of Hardstyle, as that seemed to be the main focus of the event. The one in question is Revokez, and his mix is one you have to listen to. I do love the early days, and have listened to many mixes over the years. And even when it wasn't early but the present day Hardstyle, I bought many albums, and been to a few raves. What Revokez mix did to me, was quite astonishing. It has opened my eyes, and made me realise that I'm not a freaking expert. The majority of songs used for this mix are complete unknowns to me. And here I am, thinking I knew at least 80% of the early Hardstyle anthems. I have to adjust my percentage, as there is a whole world out there I've not discovered, it turns out. But that's the great thing about these mixes, they do take you back, and realise what you know, and what you've missed. And I've missed a lot. Flipping heck, I should have bought more albums. But most of my money already went on music, and I couldn't get more, as I wasn't making millions of pounds a year. A simple petrol station attendant, that's all, so you can imagine what my income was. And most of it went on music. Life's different now, thankfully. Let's take a trip back in time, right now! Headhunterz & Wildstylez feat Villain - Stuck In Ur Head Tatact - Seiv Mai Nait Josh & Wesz - Overdrive O A-Lusion - Don't Wanna Know Adrenalize - Magical World D-Block & S-Te-Fan - Dreamers Of Dreamz Code Black - Brighter Day Josh & Wesz - Autumn Green Krusaders - Reinvented Low-E & Zero Sanity feat Maia - Crusade Max Enforcer & Waverider - Epic Second Identity - Atlantis Technoboy - Vanilla Sky DJ Phil Ty - Miami Belch (Polite Mix) Krusaders - Be My Guest Wasted Penguinz - Freedom Is Mine Second Identity - Live Without Existing Activator & Francesco Zeta - Fuoco E Fiamme The KGBs - Yerba Diabolika (TBY Mix) Activator & Doctor Zot - Un Disco Per L' estate Showtek feat MC Stretch - Freak Citizen - If I Say Stop Headhunterz - Aiming For Your Brain Fenix - Drug Collection (Coone Remix) Tatact - Taac! (Renato Mix) Showtek - Black 2008 Star Creatorz - Killzone (Hunter Remix) Dark Oscillators - Nobody Is Perfect Tatact - Your Body (Tatanka Remix) Showtek - Save The Day (DJ Yoeri In The Sky Mix) This sound just take me back so many years. Normally I would immediately go on Google and found out when a track was released, but I cannot bare the thought of finding out that time goes so damn quickly, and I've grown old. Grey hair is already appearing slowly, and my bones & muscles hurt whenever I get out of a chair. When this was hot, I was still young, no care in the world, and my body didn't ache. Times are different. Revokez's set is great. Currently I'm holding the top spot of most listens, and for good reason. I love me a good set, and this one keeps me on my toes. And again, it has amazed me of how little I know of the early Hardstyle scene. I thought I'd knew everything, but there still enough for me to discover. There are so many great songs in here, and out of the 30, I had to pick two, as they are both really great. ''Don't Wanna Know'' and 'Be My Guest''. Equally great records. They did make me stomp my feet harder (at home) and raise my hands higher than ever before. Which one is your favourite? Only love and appreciation for this mix. More of these please, and please dive deeper into the rich history of Hardstyle, like Revokez. These hidden gems need to be rediscovered again, brought back from the dead, or cleaned from the collection of dust. They need to be brought to the forefront, and if you do, it will make a lot of people happy, including yours truly!
