I love myself a bit of 'back to the past'. It is just the way of living, right? You either love the current, or you stick with what you know, and remain in the past. That's where I remain, and currently live. As much as I do like some of the new stuff coming out, I do prefer the older stuff. That's the kind of music I grew up with, and it makes me extremely happy. And when you think of it, there's still a lot of 'new' music to discover, some of these songs have slipped by you, for no reason whatsoever. So every day could be an adventure, be new and old at the same time.

Only a week ago or so, did I discover a record, which blew me away. And I tried to find it on Soundcloud, which led me to the following mix. A mix by Kris Redding, and it's the first of 12 mixes, all focussed on the past. And I have got to tell you, the first one was insanely good, and the others I've listened to, are also good. It's been on the Cloud for 13 years, and I can't believe I've missed it.

It does contain some beautiful anthems from back in the day, and it makes you wonder: how does time fly by so darn quickly? It only felt like it was yesterday, when they were released. But that's not the case. I quickly Googled one record, and that one is 22 years old! OMG, I do feel old now. Old, but still fully aware of what great music is. And the mix you are about to listen to, you'll thank me (and obviously the DJ) after. This is a great mix to end your week with, and start a new one!

It's a short tracklist, but a very powerful one. Kris has picked 9 amazing records, and they suit the current climate in the UK. It's muggy, it's warm yet cloudy, but acceptable hot at the same time. These records are hot, but very emotional at the same time. Especially the one record I only discovered last week (or was it the week before?)

It has been on repeat ever since I discovered this one. And as said, it suits the current climate extremely well. I could close my eyes and I could feel like I'm abroad, enjoying these tunes at a bar next to the beach, with a drink in one hand, and in the other absolutely nothing, but I'm raising my fingers high in the sky.

There are actually two amazing records in here. One is 'The Fusion', which is a gorgeous record. The second one, I have to give credit to 'Daylight'. What a beast of a record. All the others are great too, don't get me wrong. But these two stood out.

Enjoy this mix as much as I did, and you will have a splendid Sunday, or whenever you are listening to this. You will thank me, and Kris, later.
