The weekend is about to land, and I'm a happy bunny. Why is that? Well, simple reason: tomorrow an event is taking place in Milton Keynes, which is called 'Electric Paradise'. We booked the tickets months ago, and we looked at each stage, who is performing there. There are 6 stages, and obviously the main one has got names all known, but the other areas had a few known, and some we had to look up. One of them was Kirollus. He's playing in the Glitterbox area, and I wanted to know what he played.....
So I went to my trusted source YouTube. And I was pleasantly surprised by those artists who are on the line up, but Kirollus certainly surprised me. I do love a bit of Disco and House, and truth be told, you have to be a horrible person to NOT like either of them. His set really surprised me, and it's been on repeat for a few days now, getting me excited for tomorrow. Me and the wife already made a list of people we want to see, and when it comes to Glitterbox, Armand van Helden is the GOAT, one I don't want to miss. But I want to see Kirollus too!
He's on my list, and even the wife wants to see him. We got excited to see a set of his, recorded at Lost Village Festival in 2025. Not heard of the festival before, but it looks fun. Everyone is happy, colourfully dressed, and just excited. And you can see the amount of people only increase from the first second. He gets everyone dancing, and the tunes he plays, they are golden anthems! Just look at the tracklist, and you'll know what I mean....

This is fantastic! Taking me back to the days I wasn't born yet! Some of these are just classics, and it's dope to hear them still being enjoyed, not just by the older generation, but the youngsters/hipsters, even they enjoy the classics. They do have good taste, that's for sure!
He keeps it simple. Not fancy 100 records in 10 minutes, just three hours and 45 records. Still a lot of records, but they are worth it. No skipping, quick edits, just pure full length records. And the people at Lost Village Festival are certainly enjoying themselves and the music. It just genuinely fun to be there, but as you can imagine, I wasn't there. Kirollus was, and he'll be in Milton Keynes tomorrow. It's going to be fun.
It just made me feel relaxed today. I've been WFH all day, and this has been on. At no point did I feel anxious, unhappy, or just stressed to the bone. I was content, and that's all down to the music. He's picked some amazing records, and I simply cannot pick one favourite. That's just a daunting task I cannot do. I do hope he brings a few of these tomorrow.
OK, 'Fly Away'. That's my favourite one.
His set might not be 3 hours long, but it will be certainly enjoyable. Hopefully he'll record his set too, so you can enjoy it (if you're not going). But if this Lost Village Festival going to be the benchmark, the thing to expect... it is going to be a great day tomorrow.
Bring on Kirollus! And bring back Disco & House! Disco never died.
