It is Wednesday, and it's a good day. Today I am feeling a tad Dutch. Yeah, how do I explain that to the non-dutchies out there? It's a thing. You either have it, or you don't. It's reminiscing the roots of an individual. For me, being Dutch, it means to think about Dutch things, the Dutch language, Dutch food, basically everything Dutch. And what's the most Dutch thing of them all? Of course X-Qlusive Holland. Now that's an event I would like to go to, at least once before I die. It's so extremely Dutch, it could be embarrassing. But it isn't. Just wear your most orange coloured shirt, weird wig, and you will fit in nicely. One tiny side note: it is really Dutch, so all songs are focussed on the Dutch language, so if you don't speak it, you might feel left out. But don't worry: the Dutch have got you covered, and will embrace your presence.
3 years ago a mix was uploaded onto Soundcloud, and it contained all the cheese you'd wish for. Dutch? Check. Cheesy? Check. A lot of bass? Check. And what else do we need today? We don't need anything else. I am guessing the mix was made by Flux Overload, and I've got no information on the artist, so let's dive straight into the mix.
I don't know why, but previously I never liked songs sang in Dutch. I had this hatred toward it. And I'm not saying I've fully embraced the Dutch sung songs, but if you put a nice beat under it, and I can listen to it when I'm completely wasted, I am happy as Larry. I am originally from the South of the Netherlands, and we would listen to this kind of music during Carnaval, so this takes me back to my wonderful youth. But I've not been to a Carnaval party for many years, and I've lost touch on what's hot and what's not. Thankfully we've got Soundcloud, so I can hear what's cool.
Yeah, I know this is a mix from 2018, but still, it ain't an old mix. I might be only three years late, but to be fair, 2021 was a missed year. So only two years too late...

So, 27 records in an hour long mix. You will experience the full whack, if you want to know what the Dutch people like to hear on a night out. Not every night though! Don't get me wrong, it is nice to hear this once every blue Moon, but not every Moon. That would drive me mad, and my hatred for the Dutch lingo would drive me up the wall.
This mix is quite entertaining. Is the music any great? It's OK. It's party music. It keeps us going. It is funny to hear, and it will certainly get the people moving hard and fast. Is it high quality anthems? Nah mate, it's just cheese fest. And who fucking cares? Not me, not one single bit.
This mix has had a fair few plays, and good feedback too. It's light entertainment, and could be very powerful, if you are feeling down, and you need a boost. You need stimulants. You need something to get your blood pumping. This could be the right mix for you, if I'm honest. You can still listen to this mix, even when you aren't Dutch, but you might miss the good sing-a-long sections, such as the wonderful bit in 'Mexico', or Guus Meeuwis' song, or even Marco Borsato's all time classic.
Light entertainment, and I'm entertained. Especially when I heard 'Lekker Kort Gesprek'. Forgot about the original ('Wolfpack'), but it thankfully reminded me of it, so now I'm grooving to that song.
Brilliant mix. Hardstyle with a bit of Hardcore at the end. Enjoy it!
