Monday is about to end, and what a long ass day it has been. Working since 6:15am, and it it still not done. Work never stops, which is a good thing, as it keeps you busy. But sometimes it can be very stressful and arduous, and the only thing that can help me, is a solid mix. And as I'm an 80s kid, the 90s were obviously important to me, and during this decade, I discovered Rave music, and its glorious sound (and scene too). It stuck with me to this day, and hearing those songs certainly gives me enough energy.

It has given me so much energy, since I fired up the laptop, I've been listening to this mix non stop. It's because I consider myself a raver, and this mix is filled with anthems from back in the day. The ones I grew up with. And they are absolutely fantastic to hear again. It brings a smile on my face, and energy galore! I'm bursting with energy, and don't know what to do with it!

Well, I know, listen to this mix again! Someone on Soundcloud, who goes by the name Gumbo DJ, made this mix, and it is packed with some serious goodies. The big hits from back in the day. If you were around in the 90s and old enough to understand rave music, you will remember each and every one of these beauties. I certainly do, because of this music, I started hoarding CDs, and have purchased (too many) CDs. I've spent a fortune, but it has made me a better human! And a lover of Rave!

This makes me happy. These were on all the compilations I bought. This was absolutely the best decade of them all. It was a growing scene, and would lead up to something more magical: the birth of Hardcore, also further developing already existing styles such as Techno, and be at the start of newer ones. But this was the decade all of this happened, and I'm glad to have raved during it.

Gumbo DJ (what a quirky name) has made a wicked mix, with some brilliant records. Only 62 minutes long, but some heavy hitters. 25 records in 62 minutes, couldn't ask for more, right?

I used to adore 'Rave Alarm', 'Sonar System', 'Quadrophonia', 'James Brown Is Dead' (my first single ever!), 'Energy Flash', but the one which still remains a hard hitting record, is 'Rave The Rhythm'. My God, it hits all the spots, and still make me feel warm on the inside.

A fantastic mix, one worth to check out. And even when you weren't around in the 90s, you can stil appreciate this mix, and how good the music sounded back in the day! Relive the past!
