I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I know I had a brilliant one. And I know we are all still recovering from eating too damn much, and getting annoyed at the shitty presents we received (and obviously are ecstatic about the ones we really liked), and we just count down towards the end of the year. But if you are a fan of UK Hardcore and you want to go out raving during the end of the year, have you heard about this event in Milton Keynes?
The actual party is a mouthful. The event is called 'I Love Happy Hardcore & One Big Bash NYE 2018'. And if you haven't clocked it yet, it's on Monday the 31st. Where? In Milton Keynes, Unit 9. They will take you into the new year with a bang. The lineup consists of acts like DJ Seduction, DJ Sy, DJ Vibes, DJ Billy Daniel Bunter, Mr Ripley, Topkat, and more. And for only a handful of pennies you get entry to a wicked event. And guess what? Jenna is performing there, live on stage, singing 'Heart Of Gold'!
Why am I stating out the obvious? Just read the damn flyer! To get everyone hyped up, Mr Ripley has made a promo mix, 36 minutes long, containing true oldschool Hardcore classics. You will love this. It does contain the well known records and a few underground tracks I've not heard before.

Did you spot the recognizable records? The dancefloor smashers? Those records which have dominated the dancefloors for many years? Yeah, I did too! But for a UK Hardcore lover I did spot a few records I have not heard before! Don't know how Mr Ripley got hold of these, but I'm thankful that he used them in his mix. And if you are going to this event (which I would advise you should) you can hear more of this kind of music.
Just pointing out that I'm a huge Scott Brown fan, and have got a few of his albums, but none of them contained 'Return To Elysium'. How come I have missed that one, eh?
Anyway, Mr Ripley's selection is awesome. It has made me feel very good on the inside. A very cheerful mix with Happy Hardcore tunes: what can go wrong? Well, nothing. It's also a free download, so that's an added bonus. The conclusion is that this mix is kind of epic, and should get you digging into your wallet to fetch your credit/debit card and order tickets for this event. And I know Mr Ripley's mix has the power to do so.
