Rígur Lárus is back! According to Soundcloud, the last mix (''Take #20 - Eternal Habits Of The Spotted Mind'') was released a year ago. And it's been a very long year for those who are a fan of Rígur Lárus. And as you can gather, I am one of those. Not only are his mixes insanely good, he also seems to find those fantastic Tiesto sets, which I truly admire. But it's not about Tiesto, it is all about Rígur Lárus and his latest mix, which has as celebrity Charly Sheen. Or is it Charlie Sheen? I might have to Google it...

I have never been a massive fan of Charlie (yes, I have Googled the answer), but we have to agree that he's been a very influential figure in the 80s and 90s. He's been in some hit films, and obviously 'Two And A Half Men'. I don't know how Rígur Lárus comes up with each title, and how it's a pun. A funny word play. Every mix is a play on words, and I love it. I think that it is the reason why I discovered this mix series: it stands out by a mile.

While the previous mixes were nice and chilled, and there have been some amazing editions (number 20, number 17, number 0, and the list goes on), the 21st is going to be a tad special. A Trance focussed mix, and I get the feeling this is a more personal mix for Rígur Lárus. A more in depth mix, and if you want to know more, it is worth to read his description underneath this mix. You'll get a better understanding as to why this edition is a journey and a half.

But on that journey, which tracks were selected, to make it a pleasant one? Well, leave that to Rígur Lárus, as he knows exactly where to look to find those hidden gems!

A very pleasant mix to listen to. I had the pleasure to listen to this before it became live on Soundcloud, and I have been listening to this over and over. It is jam packed with some serious slammers.

I don't know how he finds them. He must be digging deep, as the only name I recognise, is 'Three Drives'. But Rígur Lárus is a coinnousseur, an expert in great music. And that is obviously the reason why my 'end of year playlist' on Soundcloud is always filled with his mixes, and his latest might be one of the best he's ever done.

I do adore Trance music, and with this mix, he shows me what he's capable of. I already knew he's great, but this time, a full on Trance mix. It gave me goose bumps. Obviously because of the records, not so much the actor Charlie Sheen. But what a journey he took me on. A 77 minute long mix, with some gorgeous, nostalgic sounding record.

He never disappoints. He always delivers. And it's yet another beauty. And when 'WITH YOU' hits, I felt like I was back at Tiesto in London, at Silverworks. Boy, what an anthem. The sun is setting, the planes are flying toward City aiport, great music is being played, and I'm getting very tipsy. That's how I feel when I hear this record.

Rígur Lárus, I hope it doesn't take a year for the next instalment. I need more. And the world needs more takes. The finest DJ I know. Mix after mix, a journey that you have to be on, alongside all of us. This is a genuine mix series I would urge people to listen to. Heavenly music.
