The Age Of Reverse Bass - Vol. 2 (2026)

Oh, Reverse Bass. Certainly a sound from the early years I can appreciate. I grew up with this sound, and the amount of CDs I've purchased over the years, which contained Reverse Bass driven songs, is insane. And I do believe that I've gone through so many speakers, after me blowing them up, and it could be down to this nasty bass sound. And also Jumpstyle, but that's just a different story altogether.
Today's focus is Reverse Bass. Well, the age of Reverse Bass. Which was, according to some info, between 1998 and 2005. And I simply cannot believe this: it is more than 20 years ago? Some would even argue that the sound emerged in 1995. It would be a pivotal moment for Hardstyle. as this sound would transcend the style into the stratosphere. It gained a new following, and became extremely popular.
So popular, I joined the movement. And I was a happy bunny. This got me excited, and certainly drove my parents mad. That bass went straight through the floor/ceiling, and it got my dad so angry once, he came in with a pair of scissors, and cut through the speaker cables. Well, he did warn me a few times (and I did not listen). And listening to Hardstyle music with shitty headsets from back in the day (with those foam cushions around your ears and NO bass), that was no joke.
Thankfully I'm an adult now, and can listen it whenever I like, at whatever volume! Ha, in your face, dad!

A very short but exciting tracklist. Silvio Aquila's selection is a good one, and it does contain a few records I've not heard in many years! Thanks for bringing back those memories from a forgotten era.
They don't make the songs like this anymore. This is certainly special music, and if you like it, you do. If you don't, then this mix ain't for you. But you have to love this a lot to appreciate it. And I'm one of those people. Truly admire this sound, and it is certainly a sound from a bygone era, and even when they try to replicate it, it just doesn't sound the same, like from 20+ years ago/
There is one track in this mix, which always makes me happy. Guess which one it is? Come on, it ain't that difficult! It's 'Auf Die Fresse!'. That is a certified banger from back in the day. When that song came on, the whole club exploded! And I can still feel excited every time I hear it.
Silvio's mix is dope, and I can't wait to hear more of these mixes. Keep that Reverse Bass coming through my speakers! I need to blow them up (again!).
