Whenever Jason S uploads a new mix, I am always a bit anxious. Not really happy regarding the tracklist, because it would mean that I'd have to type the whole bloody thing. Music-wise it's always a blessing. And only a few days ago, via Thunderdome's Facebook page, the world got the second instalment of the legendary Thunderdome megamix. The previous one was uploaded 4 months ago and got positive feedback, from true Hardcore fans and yours truly (TCD). The first mix contained records from Thunderdome 1 to 10, and now it's the follow up mix, with records from 11 to 20. So expect some fucking madness.
According to Mixcloud it's the second of four. So there are more mixes coming. And one is expected to be recorded live at Thunderdome - Die Hard Day III (which has already been sold out). It's like us gabbers can't get enough of Hardcore, and especially the majestic brand that is Thunderdome. The legendary wizard has been dominating our lives since the early 90s, and to this day it has a humongous following. And I'm one of them.
Since we got our first taste of Thunderdome, the love for the wizard and the label has not died down. Yes, maybe around 1999 it lacked a bit of enthusiasm, and got destroyed by the media, but deep down inside Thunderdome has meant the most. And when it comes to the music, it has always been an established name, a safe haven for us. You knew that whenever a new Thunderdome was released, that it would be good (with a few exceptions).
It's been not just in our lives for so long, but in our hearts. And with this megamix Jason S shows us yet again that he's a megamix professional. He knows damn well how to produce one. And the actual video on Facebook (I would suggest you watch it, click here) already got 113 thousand likes. So that's a fucking epic achievement! Something to be proud of!

I am picky. Yes, you might notice that there are only 99 records in this tracklist. Well, I found a little mistake between track 8 and 10. There's no track 9. Ah hell, who actually gives a shiny shite about it, eh?
As I said before, Thunderdome has given us many good records. Which resulted in memorable moments in our lives. There's always a link between a gabber and Thunderdome. You might not have liked their direction, or something about them, but there's always a link going on. Be it the events, the merchandise, the compilations, or whatever. And Jason's mix contains anthems so good, it makes you feel sad. The time has flown by, and this kind of Hardcore will never be produced again. It just sounds different.
He has done a marvellous job. He knows a thing or two about megamixes, and he has delivered yet another astonishing mix. Sad that he starts with the most overrated anthem ever (never really liked 'Flesh Is The Fever', so dreary). But after that the awesome records come flying at you.
Which record was my favourite? Well,it's like asking who your favourite kid is, if you've got more than one. It's just too damn hard. But I'll say it. 'Evil' by Neophyte. I loved the darkness of it. Neophyte has made some so-and-so records, some so stupid and some so good, but this one has to be their best.
Thunderdome and Jason S. A good combination. And the result? A motherfucking wicked mix!
