It's that time of the week again, time for another mix. Hopefully this one you will like. Not always do people appreciate the music I share, and sometimes it does result in negative comments, but thankfully that doesn't happen that often. And come on, be honest, who hates Trance music? Obviously the harder style DJs don't like Trance music (mainly the Terror DJs), but besides that, who could actually hate Trance? If you do, make sure you leave this page right now, the following review is all about Trance music. Don't say I haven't warned you, eh?
Anyway, the mix that I've got for you all today, is a mix made by Audioholik a few years ago. Now you might recognise the name. And if you do, you are a regular to this page. He made the brilliant Scot Project dedication mix. And the mix I've got in front of me, well, you can say it's an Arty dedication mix, or appreciation mix. I don't know much about Arty, but have seen his name every so often in mixes here and there. And for me it's sometimes hit and miss. You'll understand later.
I did a bit of a Google research, and found out that he's a Russian producer, who has worked with big names in the scene. And I'm talking about Arty, not Audioholik. That's the only thing I have found, and after reading 2 lines I got bored, I went straight back into the music.
It's not just an Arty mix, but there are a LOT of his tracks in this mix. An hour and 13 minutes of Trance music on an already dreary and miserable Wednesday, who doesn't want to hear that?

Well, I said there were others in this mix, but fuck me; it is definitively an Arty appreciation mix! Shitting hell Audioholik, I am guessing you were a huge fan of him, or am I too suggestive?
I have to say that with certain records Arty makes really groovy and Trancy anthems, but sometimes the records are just too pop-ish for my liking. And that kind of Trance isn't my kind of Trance. No worries, if that's yours, I respect you. At least you are enjoying it. But I am a rather conventional music lover, and mainstage stuff has left my passion a few years ago. Give me the darker and edgier and more underground music, and I'm happy as Larry.
Anyway, that doesn't mean that he only makes cheesy anthems. On the contraire! Three records in this mix are absolute beasts! 'Kate', 'Rebound', and the biggest hit in this mix 'The World Doesn't Know'. I think that 'Rebound' was actually my first introduction into Arty's world. I heard it in a Sied van Riel mix a few years ago, and it kind of stuck to me. That's the kind of Trance I can tolerate. But come on, name one track in this mix better than 'The World Doesn't Know'?
Quallity of the mix is good. As good as I would expect it to be from Audioholik.
A good mix by Audioholik. Not every track was pleasing to me, but at least it got me through the day. Make sure you like this DJ on Soundcloud. He's got a lot of excellent mixes on his page.
