Why does it feel like the weekend? Not really in work mode today. The weather is kind of pleasant, and I'm in short and a polo, working from home. And it is still quite muggy. And it's only freaking Tuesday! The weekend cannot come quicker. You might be wondering why I'm feeling so 'weekend'-ish? Well, that's because of Alex Threat's latest mix, which is full of Summer vibes anthems, from Twista Records. If you are a die-hard UK Hardcore fanatic, you know and adore the label, and it will give you the energy to get ready for the upcoming weekend, so you can rave to these tunes again!

Twista Records, which was run by Squad-E and Re-Con, had a very successful run back in the day. But what I didn't realise, is that the label only ran between 2009 and 2012? Well, that's according to Discogs, and they never lie, do they? But if you were around during those years, you do know that these songs appeared on so many compilations, and were played at every UKHC event in the UK. I can remember when I heard these for the first time. They are just legendary anthems, right?

Alex made this megamix, which is nearly 3 hours long, with 44 records crammed into it. And they are fabulous. I'm not kidding, they are truly amazing. I forgot how great these tracks were, and how they encapsuled the scene from 2009 to 2012, and even years after, we are still loving these, and they go down well at raves.

It's a wicked megamix, and Alex was kind enough to provide us with the catalogue number of each of the records used in this mix. It's a blinding journey back in time, when UKHC was my whole life, and so much more!

Wow. I'm sitting here, in complete awe. This tracklist is absolutely stunning, and only now do I fully realise how much of an impact Twista Records had over the years. Their songs are solid as hell, and have remained dancefloor smashers! Absolute insane to think that these tracks are still making people rave until the break of dawn, and they will do that for many generations to come.

Yeah, of course there are some 'lesser' tracks in it, you can't be that successful. But it is only a few. And the majority is what matters, and that's what kept me listening to this mix over and over. Alex Threat made a very interesting mix, and the flow is great.

Too many great anthems to mention. But I will mention the one which made me put this mix on repeat. 'Bring It Back'. What a beast of a record. Fantastic record. LOVE IT. The best in this mix, hands down. If you disagree, tough.

Admiration for this mix. It is one amazing megamix, and I cannot wait for the second one. And hopefully Alex will do more label-megamixes, as this one is certainly a very solid one, and made me think of the golden years of UKHC. Oh, how I miss those fantastic years, when these 44 tunes dominated everyone's life. I miss them.
