The weekend has landed. And it's looking great: sun is shining, and the temperatures are slowly going the right direction. And what is it that I'm doing? Sitting indoors with my laptop on. But I was thinking 'why not have some nice and exclusive music play through whatever media player it is you are using?'. And for that, we are going to listen to Chris Blaylock's mix, posted roughly a month ago, and it contains only unreleased tracks. And boy, are these unreleased anthems big!
According to his Soundcloud comment for this mix, this mix contains bootlegs, reworks, and unofficial tracks. And some of these tracks are humongous! And when I use that word, I don't use it lightly. I do actually mean it. It is good to hear some big anthems being reworked or remixed, and sometimes these songs are even better than the original. But that's up to you to decide, and the only way to do that, is to sit back, relax, and press play.
I haven't even mentioned what kind of music it is. But if you haven't figured it out by looking at the image above, are you really into dance music? This mix is packed to the max with Trance anthems. An hour and a half pure pleasure for your ears, carefully mixed together by Chris Blaylock. I can't think of anything else I'd rather be doing right now. Obviously most of these tracks I know, and I know them because I know the original version of them, but now I'm being shaken to my core. So the originals are great tracks, but are these unreleased records hidden gems? Are they even better than the original? Or just OK-ish?
I have to say that I'm loving the vibes. It's something different, something exciting, yet something oh so familiar. And to be fair, I wasn't expecting to see two The Prodigy records and a Daft Punk song in here. But it's the weekend: who gives a flying fuck?
