Yes, yes yes! Oh, the image above just takes me back to the late 90s/early 2000. Why, you might ask? Well, it is because Trance compilations from around that time had these spacey looking front covers, these would not resemble anything, but looked spacious. A few squiggly lines and a rock. What's that got to do with Trance? Nothing. But it just worked. All these compilations were avid users of a similar program like Microsoft Paint, and they all had to look slightly different. Don't ask me why they did that, but it was just seen as cool, out of the blue. Different. But yeah, the image alone brings back memories. But it's certainly not the only thing that brings back memories!
Trance, don't you just love it? And especially when you are getting a bit older, you can reminisce, and think of the glorious years, when Trance ruled the world. It did. And to me, every mix I find that focusses on the early Trance sound, just brings me joy, and lots of it. Today's mix is made by Divine, who's made quite a few mixes already, but this one just seems to caught my eye, and now I'm writing about it.
I'm sitting here, thinking about the golden years, and how cool the music was. And Divine's mix is playing in the back ground for hours now. I feel blessed to have lived throughout those magical years. And whenever I see a 90s/00s Trance mix, I always jump on those immediately, and start playing them without hesitation. I am a sucker for Trance music.
But the question here is, are the tracks selected any good? Are they the finest records you can find?
Ascension - Someone (Original Vocal Mix)
The Space Brothers - Legacy (Original Mix)
Chakra - Home (Original Mix)
Jorio - Remember Me (The Space Brothers Remix)
Lost Witness - 7 Colours (Angelic Mix)
Matt Darey & Lost Tribe - Gamemaster (Original Mix)
Dune - Keep The Secret (Talla 2XLC Remix)
Binary Finary - 1999 (Matt Darey Remix)
Aurora - Hear You Calling (Darkmoon Remix)
Insigma - Open Your Eyes (Insigma Club Mix)
Orion - Eternity (Darren Tate Mix)
Ralph Fridge - Paradise (Nu-Gray Mix)
This brings back a lot of memories. And also a huge smile on my face. A few of these records I've completely forgotten about! They did appear on many compilations, but as most things nowadays, you just forget them. And in my case, I stopped playing CDs, because they were ruined anyway. Which is a pity, but also my fault: I never were cautious with these discs.
A solid mix with some glorious anthems. I really enjoyed the mellow and euphoric vibe throughout the mix. Divine's mix is filled with classics, and it's roughly 78 minutes of pure pleasure. And the songs, they are truly magnificent.
I've got nothing negative to mention. 12 amazing records. Nicely mixed together. All is well.
Best record? '7 Colours' by Lost Witness, remixed by Angelic. Truly a euphoric anthem you don't hear that often.
Go and check this mix out, you won't be disappointed!
