So, Happy Hardcore, eh? This mix was made by DJ Bass-D, an all time legend in the Happy Hardcore scene back in 2006, and re-released for Rainbow Rave Outdoor, back in 2016. Leave it to Bass-D to make a super duper Happy Hardcore mix. He's an oldskool legend, a real OG in the Happy Hardcore scene. I grew up with Happy Hardcore, so for me it's a personal preference. It's the reason why I always fall back to Happy Hardcore, whenever I require to be slightly happier. It might be a tad cheesier if you compare it to the general Hardcore/Gabber music from the 90s, and you might loath it, but you cannot hide the importance of the music. Hell, I even had a few Happy Hardcore songs played at my wedding last year! That's how important it is. And why this mix made me slightly happier today.

I had to type the whole tracklist, so my fingers are now hurting like fuck. But it was oh so worth it. It truly was. So many classics in here, and also a shit ton of forgotten records by artists you don't hear from anymore.
If this doesn't make you happy, nothing will. And that's a fact. Happy Hardcore is just so blissful, so honestly innocent. Cheerful, and all in all, happy. It can be a tad cheesy, and Bass-D added a few of those in here as well, so don't you worry. The cheese lovers are pleased too.
I am really happy after hearing this mix. So many classics. So many underground anthems. He must have dug deep to find these bad boys. Yes, of course the big anthems are in here, but also a lot of the B-sides. And I sometimes prefer them over the A-side records.
I do not care if they are cheesy or not. They are so suitable today, the 28th of December. We've just been through a festive period with a lot of too cheerful anthems, so this mix suits this time period extremely well. Another wicked mix by Bass-D, and for that we should honour him! The real OG, the don of Happy Hardcore!
