Friday, the day to officially unwind. We've had a busy week, and we've got a new weekend to experience within a few hours. But there's a few hours left for us to get through. Let's get through it together, and let's amp up the BPMs with this liveset by DJ Cyrax, recorded at the latest edition of Sinistry. Only held last week, so it's hot of the press. So hot, I was one of the first people to check this set out. And with Cyrax you never know what he's going to do. But with this set he brings the heat, that's for sure!
The line-up looked tremendous: Zatox, Kutski, Renegade System, MKN, Jester & Kohl, Systembreaker, Hixxy, Sharkey, Kevin Energy, Fracus & Darwin, Sc@r, and many more. An impressive line-up. Normally I would say that I'm gutted that I missed the event and that I had no reason not to go, but in this instance, I had a reason. And another reason on top of that: I came down with the flu last week, and seeing as I'm a super spreader, I don't want to infect more people.

I didn't, as you can read, but I've got Cyrax's set to give me a glimpse of what I did miss. And his set is fire! He brings the heat, and the finest Freeform anthems available. An interesting tracklist. And a lot of records by someone called Stereotype. I'm not sure who uses this alias, but he/she/they have gained Cyrax's enthusiasm and he's added many of Stereotype's records in his set. Or it could even be his own alias, who knows?
I do love the energetic sound that is coming out of the scene, but I still need to get used to it. I'm more of a reserved Freeform fanatic, and always talk about the past, and how good it was. The new sound has got a lot of other influences too, especially the gabber sound. It is something different, something new, and I'm still getting my head around it. This Psycore is just too damn fresh for me...
Hence why you can imagine my favourite track is the track made by Gammer. 'The Power Within'. Oldskool vibes galore!
A nice set, and definitely one you should have witnessed. The tracks are good, and it's nicely mixed together. You will enjoy it, no doubt! It will give you enough of an energy boost to keep you going through today, and even through the weekend!
