We all know 2020 has been a dreadful year, and we are still in it. The world has given us this rather unusual task, to stay at home, and not party. Now, I am Dutch, and I've been partying since 1998, so to have a year where no parties are happening besides the ones that are streamed online without any audience, is just so surreal. But I think we've all just accepted that COVID-19 is a complete tool, so whatever party is hosted online, we just accept it. Be it obviously without an audience, but it's still our main source for wicked music.
One set I found on Youtube was D-Sturb at this year's Intents Festival edition. I just needed my daily Hardstyle dose, and with his set, yesterday's choirs were done easily. When you are doing choirs, like cutting the grass, it becomes a doddle. It gives me that extra boost, when I certainly need this boost. It did work, but now I am burned and look like a lobster. Yes, I forgot to moisturise my skin. Factor 100 next time. But for now, I've got a red face, red nose, and red neck. Ah well, a good reminder that I can do choirs with excellent music, but also a reminder to use sun lotion.
D-Sturb's records have been top notch since I first discovered them many moons ago. He's got this unique sound, and even though his records can be rough and raw, they all have this melodic sound. A necessity for me, to make a record work. And for his set at Intents Festival this year, he has picked a lot of excellent records. He's not just the new kid on the block, he's already an established name, and his set shows us why he's awesome. Fact.
The tracklist for anyone who's interested....:

Warface & D-Sturb feat Rafael Krux - Collective Paranoia
Rebelion - Bassline Junkie
Warface & D-Sturb - Extortionist
Deadly Guns - Get Dissed
This is one sick mix. I've really enjoyed this set by D-Sturb. Some sets just grab you from the first anthem, and won't let go of you. This is one of those sets. Flawless. And it gives the raver enough energy to party for 55 minutes non stop. D-Sturb certainly knows how to get everyone moving!
The set is filled with serious dancefloor anthems. D-Sturb is a real force, his anthems do tend to get played everywhere. And obviously used a few of his own productions in here. You know someone isn't the kid on the block anymore when his collaborations are with big names such as Warface, Sub Zero Project, D-Block & S-Te-Fan, and more.
The tracks are just sick. And to start with 'Hold On', you know the place will be lit. Such a suitable song for this dreadful year. 2020 can certainly fuck off. But it has given us a good anthem, to be fair. But is it the best one of this D-Sturb set?
Nope. I have to join many commenters on Youtube. Vertile's 'Change This Place' is the best one of his set. Fuck me, this gave me more boost than anything else in this set.
You can watch his full set on Youtube, see the player below. If you love D-Sturb and his music, you will NEED to listen to this monster set. To me, this has got to be the best set of 2020 that I have encountered so far!
