Here Comes The Sun '08 (2016)

It isn't sunny anymore, nor is it Summer anymore. It is quite pleasant outside though: currently the temperature is 11 degrees Celsius, which is quite mild for mid December. Global warming isn't just a myth though. But it isn't in full effect yet, as we are still not wearing flip flops in the winter, or ditching the thick coats. At night it does get a bit chilly, and we still have the thick quilt on the bed. The only thing that keeps me warm throughout the day is the music, and what a fantastic mix have I found today for you all!?

It's an 'oldie' but golden one. Another mix by the famous channel 'History Of Happy Hardcore', and it's yet another non-Happy Hardcore mix. Truth be told, there are more than 700 mixes on their page, and the chance to find anything but Happy Hardcore is probably very high. You might wonder how I found this 9 year old mix among all the hundreds of mixes on their page? Well, there's a reasonable explanation for that.

I have been on a nostalgic trip down memory lane, and have been watching/listening a lot of Sensation White CDs. And I do mean a lot. I think I listened to all from 2000 to 2008, and I have to conclude that dance music was much better back then. One of the tracks, which was played by DJ Chuckie in 2008, makes an appearance in this mix, hence why I discovered this mix, and now I'm all over it.

This is a throwback mix to 2008! What a fantastic year it was, and these songs surely make you wish you could go back, 17 years in time, and relive those glorious moments. They are long gone, way behind us, but at least we've got mixes like this one.

What a smile inducing mix. I'm sitting here, smiling, and enjoying life. Yes, the weather might not be suitable for this mix, but deep down inside I'm glowing. I'm hot. But that could also be because I'm sitting near a radiator. Who knows?

The HOHH have made a wonderful mix, and it went unnoticed by so many. Not like their usual mixes. Don't really know why though, this mix deserves more credit. And we need more mixes dedicated to the year 2008. In my head it was the year of the remixes, or the reworks or mashups. Am I wrong in assuming that?

Let's dive straight in: favourite song. ''Together''. Nothing can compete with this song. A seriously underrated song I've not heard in at least a decade. Bring back these hidden gems, and make them known to all on the dancefloors, all over the world.
