Now for something completely different. As you all know, I am a huge Freeform fan, and love it to the core. And I love to hear music from Finland. You know, Finland. The country that is famous for reindeers, saunas, lakes, skiing, Aurora Borealis, and many more things. I've sadly never been, but it's on my bucket list. Not just to see the country, but to also go to a rave there. A few Freeform producers have been going to this country (as it comes up on my Facebook timeline), and whenever I hear new mixes from the legendary label FINRG, I always find myself intoxicated by the sound that comes from Finland. And today is no exception: I am fully emerged into this New Age Rave mix by Decion.
A few days ago, I stumbled across this mix by Decion. And according to Decion's Soundcloud description: Psychedelic Energy Techno Clusterfuck. Whatever that might mean, I'm happy that these words were used, because it describes this mix beautifully. And it's not a derogative term, it's a term of endearment. As I'm really in awe, I am enjoying this mix a lot.
I do know of FINRG's existence, but I'm not 100% known with everything that this label releases, or all the artists they have got on their roster. I do try and listen to as much as I can, and Decion is certainly a new name I will follow, especially as one of Decion's track is the best one I've heard in 2022, and that's a huge statement, in my honest opinion!

A quick look on FINRG's website (link below review), it reveals that the man behind Decion is the actual label manager of FINRG! How's that for a plot twist, eh?
All jokes aside, let's focus on the mix. And it's absolutely epic. Not only do I share excellent mixes on here (my own website), but also on a Dutch music forum called Partyflock. Not many Dutchies do appreciate Freeform, UK Hardcore, or anything similar, but those that actually do, are there, on that site. We share and care for the music, nearly as much as the actual producers/DJs/label managers...
I really enjoyed this mix. It's got some big Hard Trance, Techno, Freeform tracks in here. But the best, BY FAR, has to be Decion's own record, 'Metroid'. My God, this is heaven compressed into a song. My only wish is... why can't this track go on forever and ever? Why does it ever have to stop? I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I keep coming back to this euphoric masterpiece!
A glorious mix by Decion. A new name in my books, but certainly one I would advice you to follow!
