Today was a good day. The day after Good Friday, and I'm guessing it could be 'OK Saturday'? I don't know the official title of the day after, but who cares? Me and the missus went out for our 'shopping' trip to M&S, only to find out that most of the stuff wasn't available, so our journey back to normality was cut short. Not bad to be fair, at least we left the house and got some fresh air. We also visited relatives in Milton Keynes, which in hindsight was a good thing to do, and should do more often. Sometimes staying indoors for too long might drive you mad, and will create havoc. If your house has suffered from havoc, this mix might be perfect for you.
That was a word play on the title of this mix, which on itself is a word play of a TV show of the 90s, which was on RTL4, if I can recollect correctly. 'Eigen Huis In Puin' means 'own house in ruins'. Well, if you didn't figure that out by looking at the image above, you might need to redo your Dutch language lessons.
On a serious note, let's talk about this brand new mix that I'm sharing with you all. This is yet another mix series I need to follow. Pff, like I haven't got other mix series to follow. My timeline is getting more and more filled with mix series. But some are worth it. This is one of them. I've not heard a Rawstyle mix in a while, so it was a nice thing to press play and wait for Bionicle to provide me with the finest and rawest beats available.
As this is the sixth instalment, I've got some catching up to do. But for now let's focus on this instalment, which was only released 4 months ago. And it's an hour of Rawstyle madness. That's nice to hear on a Saturday evening, right? Might give you some boost to get ready for the upcoming Summer period, when we are back out raving, right?
So, which records has Bionicle used for this mix? Well, these:
Warface - Catalyst
Rebelion - Bassline Junkie
B-Front & Deetox - Cosmos
Bloodlust - Smash Your Brain
Zany & DV8 - Fever
Tommyknocker - Twist
Deetox - Bring The Riot
Minus Militia - Riot Music
Warface - I Need You (Bionicle Edit)
Vazard - Return To The Rhythm
Laminate - Misunderstood
TNT & Ruffneck - Mindcontroller 2k20
Bionicle - Pressure
B-Front & Digital Punk - For The Girls
Vazard & Delete - Explosions
T.C.C. - That Acid Tho
Ncrypta & Fraw - Omega
The Purge & Sickmode - Right Now
B-Front & Thera - R.E.M. Coma (DJ Thera Live Mix)
Rebelion - Corruption
Rooler - Extinguish
Tommyknocker - T-2002
Partyraiser - Prankish Masterpiece
Tripped - Fuck The Millennium
As you can see there's a lot of Rawstyle in here, but at the end we go slightly faster and tougher. Now, what's harder than Rawstyle? Hardcore. So in general, you will get an hour of hard music pumping through your speakers. And isn't that what we are all craving for? But it obviously depends on what kind of music has your preference? Hardcore? Rawstyle? You choose.
Tonight I'm in a more Rawstyle-y mood. After hearing the first few records in this mix, I got hyped up to the max, and have to choose Rawstyle over Hardcore. And it's also because I've not heard Rawstyle in a while. Bionicle's mix is a very interesting one, with a few newer and older anthems, but all in all a very interesting mix. Some seriously impressive tracks, and also a track by Bionicle himself.
But which is the record of this mix that gets my heart pounding the fastest? Rebelion's 'Bassline Junkie'. This record has appeared in many mixes, and still packs that punch. Really dope anthem.
A fantastic mix. Really got me happy. No need to experience a boring Saturday evening. If you can't be fucked to watch Ant & Dec on TV, and you want to hear something cool, why not play this mix? This will be at least 10 times better than anything on TV. And that's a fact.
