You won't believe it, but I first started this review on the 31st of January of this year, but for unknown reasons did I not start typing anything, and completely forgot about its existence. After a few hours on my site, I found these as archived, and I just had to give this yet another go. I did listen to this mix, but never found the time to finish the review. So apologies for anyone hoping I would review this mix, but at least I'm doing it right now. Never to late to appreciate new mixes, by new artists.
So what's in store for you all? Well, this mix was made by someone called Diakronik, and I don't think I've seen his name before. Or maybe I have, but I'm just being an idiot (which is highly likely). The mix you are about to listen to, is filled with Happy Hardcore/UK Hardcore anthems. All new tracks, but still capturing the sound from the mid 90s. And I'm a huge Happy Hardcore lover, so to find 'new' music that resembles the old sound, that just makes me happy. And isn't that the reason why Happy Hardcore existed in the first place? To make everyone happy?
There are new tracks, and old tracks remixed in here. So a nice mixture of everything you want to hear. And also a few of his productions in here, so if you are a noob (like myself) and you want to know what Diakronik does, well, check this mix out.
It's got some big names in this tracklist. And most of the records are to be released on 24/7 Hardcore, so you know what you are getting. A full on happy Hardcore mix!

I am pleasantly surprised. I've heard this mix multiple times now, and every time I am smiling from ear to ear. The songs are just so dope, and capture that mid-90s sound beautifully. And it's not cheesy, like some tunes were back in the 90s. Not borderline cheesy at all. Just happy.
Well, maybe some of the lyrics are cheesy as f**k. 'I Just Called' and 'Deer Jessie'. Yeah, they are cheesy. I even dislike the original 'Deer Jessie' song. So overhyped and piss wet vocals.
All serious now, I really liked this mix a lot. It's made me appreciate the new/old Happy Hardcore even more. Or as they call it 'Retro Happy Hardcore'. The songs are good (even when the lyrics are a bit meh). The overall feeling this mix generates is pure happiness, and I'm not the only one who has appreciated this mix: on Soundcloud the generic feeling is the same. All positive comments. And I just underline their feedback.
Best track? 'Stay Tonight'. Beautiful record with amazing vocals! The vocals gave me actual goose bumps!
