I knew that this event existed, but it was still beyond belief that an event takes place on the Great Wall of China! It's like no place on Earth is free from partying: if people can dance, they shall dance! Not saying that I'm against it though, I want people to dance, and express themselves. But what's next: the tower rave of Pisa, the Eiffel Tower mad party, the tree hugging event at Babylon? I'm just not sure anymore, humans can do literally anything, and no wall will stop them.
Obviously, due to COVID-19, the event isn't happening this year, and that's a shame. But understandable. OK, so we need to see last year's line up to get an idea of what you could expect people dancing to on this humongous wall. To be fair and completely honest, I don't know the majority of these artists, only know Dirtbox, Voodoo, MC Swift, and that's it. Well, that's a coincidence, Lee UHF has just uploaded his recording from 2019's event. How lucky are we?
The set was around 48 minutes long, and contains 26 records. And it does contain ravers on the Great Wall of China. Still unbelievable to think that this happens on a regular basis. So damn cool though. China itself wasn't open to the world until only recently, and look what has happened in a short period of time! Never stop enjoying parties, China! That's so cool of you!

It's still amazing to think that people raved to Drum and Bass on the wall! I just can't picture it. I know it has happened though, but from it being a wall to protect people to a wall for ravers, that's just so insane!
I have to say that Lee UHF's set is really interesting. A vibrant set, surely keeping those who were there awake and dancing. This 48 minute set was really a rollercoaster ride of emotions. From the harder and rougher to the more melodic Drum and Bass. Everything was in this mix, including the ravers screaming on the wall.
A lot of excellent anthems Lee has used for his extraordinary set. A few tiny errors, but you have to understand it's a liveset, and anything can happen. I think that he was still blown away by the location? But during his set the best record by far has to be 'Let It Shine'. I do prefer the original version slightly more, but still, a good version of a very catchy anthem.
I'm not going to deduct points for the few small errors. They were really small, and not bothered me at all. It's still a highly enjoyable set, and Lee UHF has also given it to us for free (you can download this bad boy). Whilst you are at it, why not check out his home streams on there? You can find a lot of sets on his page that you might enjoy too?!
