Yes, yes yes. I do know I have been reviewing a lot of Pat B lately, but that's all because of him being awesome. After being hospitalised for 5 days I do wanted nothing else, I wanted Jumpstyle. I wanted to hear those classic anthems. And Pat B's Soundcloud is the right place to be. This enthusiastic producer/DJ has been demolishing all over the continent, and even here in London he's demolishing my speakers. I'd wish he would visit London: I'll be the first to purchase tickets.
This liveset was recorded at this year's Reverze. Taken place at the Sportpaleis in Antwerpen, he and Ruthless they went back in time, playing the finest Jumpstyle/Hardstyle anthems from a forgotten era. Underneath this review I will add the actual Youtube video: I think it's a real blessing to see it. You will see thousands of people loosing themselves. This was a bitch typing. Not sure if the whole tracklist is correct. Well at least it's something. And it's a testimony of how powerful these two are behind the decks. And how amazing it is to mix these records all together, and making it all sound so easy. I know they've got some experience, but it's still impressive that they jump from one record from one to the next.
There are shitloads of amazing records in here! Pick one. It's too darn difficult. It's really good to hear several styles being used: from Happy Hardcore to Hardcore to Jumpstyle to Freestyle to Hardstyle and everything inbetween.
Ruthless and Pat B keep the entertainment level way up high. You can see them having fun in the attached video. And the crowd are loving it too. There's no hate to be seen throughout the video. Yeah, there might be a few shite tunes, but the general gist is extremely good. We need events like Reverze in the UK. Or, to phrase it much more appropriately, we need more Jumpstyle. I do miss it.
A good journey through our past. Leave that with Pat B and Ruthless. They know exactly how to please the listeners.
