Friday has landed, and I cannot be any happier. The weekend is about to land, and I want it to happen, for a multitude of reasons. But Friday is still here, so we need something to get us going. And will you believe it, Audioholik only uploaded this mix within the last 12hours, so it's fresh as a daisy, and I'm one of the first to pick this one up. It's a mix dedicated to the early Hardstyle sound, made by the Hardstyle legends that go by the name of The Beholder, and Max Enforcer. If you are into your early Hardstyle music, you will recognise their names, and you'll be as pleased as I was, once I discovered this mix.
I still find it amazing to know who was behind these names. And if you don't know, make sure you are sitting down for this: The Beholder also goes by the name Neophyte, and Max Enforcer is known as Evil Activities! Yes, they are the Hardcore legend, that dabbled in the Hardstyle scene, back in 2006 to 2010. And this has led up to a lot of excellent tunes, which you can find 15 of them in this mix, by Audioholik.
The boys took their Hardcore experience to the Hardstyle scene, and it worked a treat. These songs do have a resemblance to the Hardcore sound, but they were tweaked enough to not be classified as Hardcore anthems, but more Hardstyle anthems. And they've remained that way ever since they were released.
A few Hardcore artists worked in other genres, but I think the most went into the Hardstyle scene, and for good reasons. This mix is dedicated to those who gave it a go, and made it work. And it's an hour of pure early Hardstyle anthems, carefully selected and mixed by Audioholik.

Wow. What a brilliant tracklist. And should this mix even be called an appreciation mix, dedicated to The Beholder and Max Enforcer? Or should Zany's name be present in the title too, as he's worked alongside these boys a fair few times. But yeah, that's not up to me, but up to Audioholik.
The tracks are as glorious as you want them to be. It takes me back 13-17 years in time. Wow, where has the time gone to? Why is it flying by so damn fast? I still feel like the early noughties were just yesterday, but they aren't. I still remember buying compilations that had songs on it, made by The Beholder and Max Enforcer.
It is yet another wicked mix by Audioholik. He always seems to fabricate mixes at the right time for me. I wasn't waiting for a mix like his latest one, but after hitting the play button, I knew immediately that deep down inside I was waiting for such a mix. Subconsciously I was waiting. And I'm happy I played this mix.
They are all big hitters. Boy, do I miss this early Hardstyle sound. Shame it's not the same anymore.
