Epic Trance - Vol. 2 v2 (VinylOnly) (2026)

In September of last year, I discovered a new mix series on Soundcloud, which I started to follow. It was made by bbtomie, and the series is called ''Epic Trance''. Now, that's a bit of a statement, as I'm an avid Trance enthusiast, and I've listened to hundreds, if not thousands of Trance mixes, and some might use the same phrase (epic), but the mixes weren't that epic. Or the mix might have been, but the songs certainly weren't that epic. They were OK, but not epic. Is this mix series worth your time, and are the songs truly epic?

That's for you to decide. I am going to decide too, but let's first enjoy the mix. An hour and 40 minutes of pure Trance classics. The weather outside is atrocious, and not worth going outside (unless you really have to). And it is also Sunday, a relaxing day. So stay indoors, turn up the heating, get a nice comfy blanket, and turn this mix up to the maximum volume. You will not regret it.

bbtomie has selected again 15 records, some I've not heard in years, and put them all together in one wonderful mix. It is the perfect mix for a day like today. Very chilling, very smooth records, and probably one of the best Trance anthems ever made, in this mix. You are eager now to see the tracklist, or am I just imagining it? Solid mix. It's a nice mixture of known hits and some of the 'forgotten' ones. And I do mean that lightly, as they aren't truly forgotten, but not played that often. Even though they should. But it's a nice one. The hour and 38 minutes do fly by before you know it.

This brings back memories. Of me, on the dancefloor. Raving the night away. They were the best days of my life. No care in the world. Well, the only care I had, was the amount of money I had left in my pocket: could I get another drink, or did I drank all my money already? But everything else, all the other worries, disappeared. The dancefloor is a magical place, one that no one can take away from you.

I love seeing Fred Baker in this mix. Turns out, I do love quite a lot of Fred Baker songs. The ones in this mix are tight. But not as tight as ''The Morning After''. Boy, that's just the pinnacle of Trance. Perfection, that's what it is. And closely following this track, is ''Reincarnations''. Another blinding track!

Another epic edition, that's for sure. bbtomie, keep those mixes coming. Dig deep in your collection, and find more obscure anthems. Bring back the classics, and let us relive the golden years!
