What a long week it has been, but the good thing is, is that the weekend is just around the corner. Just a few more hours until we can embrace the sunshine, without being stuck in an office, or in my case, home office. It has been boiling inside (32 degrees Celsius inside according to Hive), and living without airconditioning, it is certainly torture. At least I had my music keeping me company. And today's mix is certainly one getting me in the mood for this weekend.

Why this weekend, you might ask? Well, this weekend I'm going out out. DJ Tiesto in concert, here in the UK. Specifically, in London. It's going to be an epic event. Temperatures are going down slightly, which makes it more bearable, but it's freaking Tiesto! Come on, one of the greatest DJs of all time, and he's going to be in London. And hopefully he's bringing the oldschool classics with him. To get me in the mood, I've picked this Trance set, which does contain those fantastic anthems from back in the day!

Matheus made this mix, which is the sixth instalment of this series, and it's vinyl only. That's always an added bonus, but it's all about the music, as that's what gets us all on the dancefloor, nothing else will. And for this hour and a half mix, he picked 13 records, and they are all making me want the weekend to hurry the f*** up, so I can experience Trance music at its finest, with one legendary DJ performing in front of me, after 25 years of not seeing him.

Hopefully he'll bring a few of these tunes, as they are really good. Matheus picked some dope records!

From those glorious years do these tracks come from. The oldest one was released in 1998, and the 'newest' one 2004. And how funny that those were the years in which we saw the rise of this unknown kid called Tiesto. And some of these tracks did appear in his sets back in the day.

They still make me a happy bunny, many decades after they have been released. The quality is just on a different level. Matheus' sixth mix is definitely one you should be checking out, as the tracks are good, and the mix itself is solid.

Time has flown by so damn quickly, and I am replaying this mix over and over. So many great tracks, and they are all making me want to party and hear those glorious Trance anthems. I have to be patient, as the party takes place on Sunday, and I'll remain patient. Sunday is just around the corner, right?

Best track? 'Don't Hold Back'. Those vocals are just so damn good. 'Dream Machine' is also another classic by Ton TB, and anything by Fred Baker is just awesome, but Extreme Trax's track just stands out by a mile.
