  • Goldie's Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1 - 08-04-2007

Why am I reviewing an old Goldie set from 15 years ago? Well, it's because I read Goldie's autobiography yesterday in one sitting. It's called 'Nine Lives', and it's an oldie too. I think it was released back in 2002. But it was a nice read. The weather seems to be perfect to chill and enjoy a good book, and it was a book I read in one sitting. I might have read the book and left it at that, but I had a craving for Goldie. I needed to hear some of his tunes, and I landed upon this set, recorded back in 2007, and aired on BBC Radio 1's 'Essential Mix'. It has got raving reviews, but what would you expect? It's a set by Goldie, and it's always good! Good, if not excellent... I think I might have reviewed this set many years ago, but it got lost due to Trojan horses destroying my previous website. So yeah, it's a reintroduction to what Goldie did back in 2007. 15 years old, and still timeless. 2 hours of the finest Drum 'n Bass, from one of the pioneers of the scene. The man who knew how to make a fine record, but also how to spot amazing talent, and get them on board his label, Metalheadz. Make no mistake, Goldie is a pioneer, and someone who knows, lives and breathes DnB, but he's also a very fine artist. Painter/graffiti artist, you name it, he can do it. But we diverge too much. Instead of talking about his artistry side of life, let's focus on the mix, and which records he selected. Obviously his Essential mix of 1996 was the finest mix ever made, without a shadow of a doubt, but his 2007 mix is also among the highest ranked mixes ever, for me personally. I can see me having a debate internally, as to which mix was the finest: the 90s one of the 00s? Difficult question, and not easy to answer. Let's see which tracks he played. And obviously I don't need to mention that they are ALL the finest DnB records money could buy. From the main man himself, but also from his partners in crime, his BFFs from the scene. 2 hours of pure DnB madness, are you ready for it? Rufige Kru - Monkey Boy (G Dub Remix) Dillinja - Fly Away Commix - Be True Digital & Lutin - Cool & Deadly Photek - Untitled Kiat - Diablo Doc Scott - Drumz 9507 Commix - Strictly Rufige Kru - Malice In Wonderland Amit - Gatecrasher Rufige Kru - Infamous Rufige Kru - Scar Rufige Kru - Grouper Sabre & Alix Perez - Everglade Rufige Kru - Is This Real Rufige Kru - Ever Wanted Optical - To Shape The Future (Remix) Rufige Kru - Digital Warrior D Kay - Wax'd (Remix) Break - Combination Style Vapour - No Smoke Case & Demo - Ladies Night VIP Commix - Sattelite Type 2 Rufige Kru - Space Funk Dillinja - Warrior Jazz Lemon D - Chainsaw Doc Scott - Unofficial Ghost Rufige Kru - Paris This is a lot of Goldie, and more. More than you actually need, but you should not complain. Accept the madness, accept the essential mix, and go into a state of trance for 2 hours. While the rain is pouring down massively, I am playing this mix out loud, and I couldn't care less. This mix seems to be perfect for today: a tad rough, tough, and dark, with a sprinkle of light and happiness. But don't just think that Goldie takes any prisoners. From the moment 'Monkey Boy' kicks in, he grabs you by the throat, and doesn't let you go. He holds you, embraces you, caresses you at the same time. It might feel slightly uneasy, but it's worth it... All jokes aside, 'Monkey Boy' sets the tone, and it's fucking hard as hell. Cut a long story short, it is actually the one track that is the finest out of all 28 records selected. Fucking dark, and I LOVE IT. Today is not the first day I've heard this mix, and it will certainly not be the last time I'll listen to this mix. Goldie's mixes always follow me wherever I go, and I still find his 1996 edition the best mix I've ever heard, closely followed by 2 Bad Mice's 'Fact' mix. Goldie was and still is a pioneer. He dominated the DnB scene in the 90s, for good reason. After reading 'Nine Lives' it gave me a bit more insight, perspective on the character Goldie, and if you after a good read, I would suggest you buy the book. And in the meantime, you might give this mix a go? 2 hours of DnB's finest selected records, by the legendary DJ, producer, label owner, and all round artist Goldie! • Memories Of Ibiza (2000 - 2005) (2021)

The last few hours have emerged. The heatwave is about to end. Hopefully with a bit of rain, and some thunder storms. Don't need hail or anything devastating, but we need some rain. The grass looks as dry as hell, and the temperatures inside of our homes are still above 25 degrees. Windows are open, fans are constantly working, and yet we are still experiencing the heatwave. So let's remember the Summer of 22, and how weird it was. And we should end it on a high. No, not temperature wise, but music wise. And J.O.E.'s mix is the right one for us all. Ibiza. I've never been to Spain, as far as I can tell. When I was younger I've seen a bit of the world, but never went to Spain. Greece and Italy, those were the countries my parents took me when I was a wee little lad. But as I got older, my first holiday on my own was England. So yeah, you can see I am a world traveler. Been with the wife to Greece and Curacao, but that's it. Never Spain. We were close this year in going to Spain, but it just never happened. But in a weird way,I can imagine how awesome it must have been around the Millennium. And the music that was played on Ibiza. J.O.E. has been a contributor to this page, and many of his mixes have found their way to this page. And today's mix isn't his latest one, but one that popped up on my timeline on Soundcloud. Still very suitable to the present day, and you might even be currently in Ibiza, enjoying a nice refreshing drink, dipping your toes in the sand, and watching the sun set beautifully in the evening. If that's the case, ENJOY it as much as you can. We go back in time, to the early 2000s. Trance music dominated the world, and found its way to Ibiza. Many compilations were dedicated to Ibiza, and many livesets can be found on Soundcloud, Mixcloud, and other websites, and many people have got fond memories of those years. Let's relive those years, or imagine how cool it must have been, clubbing the night away... A tracklist that makes me happy. Even though the majority of names aren't known to me, I do know the songs. And some I haven't heard for at least a decade! And I'm not exaggerating. Again, it could be because I've never been to Ibiza, and the algorithm knows that and hides these tracks from me, but clearly it shouldn't. I've purchased many compilations in the past with tracks on it which were played in Ibiza (and other islands too though)... I am really feeling the vibes. I am sitting here, covered in sweat, but having a huge smile on my face. Yes, it was music perfectly made for the clubbers in Ibiza, but it was also enjoyable wherever on this massive Earth. I was listening to this in NL back in the day, and enjoyed it a lot. J.O.E.'s mix is yet another entertaining one, and one we can definitely listen to during the last few hours of the Summer. The tracks are all solid, and it's carefully mixed together. What else is there to say? Enjoy it while you can. How can I pick a favourite, when all 30 are excellent Trance anthems? How it is even possible? Can you? DJ: J.O.E. • Daniel Skyver - Truancy 009.1 (2022)

A random find on Soundcloud. Random as hell, because I wasn't looking for it, and it just popped up. And it's something I wouldn't normally look out for. But maybe I should. It's a mix that is suitable for today, and I'll explain it to you why. Well, I think it should be self explanatory, but in case you don't know, it's hot outside. Really hot. It's not even 10am and the temperatures are already mid 20s. It's going to be hot, and you need something to relax yourself, cool yourself down. Yes, it's nice to have something hard and rough playing through your speakers, but today it's not really needed. Wait until the weather turns cooler for the harder stuff, now it is time to unwind and relax... It's a bit like our yesterday, Me and the wife were sitting in the garden, reading a book. Today will be the same, just chilling. And Daniel Skyver's mix suits our state of mind beautifully. Not really sure who the person is that made this mix, because it just appeared on my timeline, but after a quick press on the play button I knew that this mix was going to be very special. It resulted in me following this artist on Soundcloud, and if you feel the same way after listening to this mix, give this DJ a follow. This is a very smooth sounding mix, perfect for today. It's cool and chilled. Filled with Trance anthems, it's a nearly 2 hour long set. And if it generates the same feelings as the ones I'm currently experiencing, you will thank me after for finding this mix and sharing it with you all. Not familiar with the current Trance scene, as my focus is normally on the older/early Trance music, so the tracklist didn't tickle my pickle. But maybe it does something to you, to your pickle? Kristina Sky & Danny Stubbs feat Evan Henzi - Rollercoaster (Sunset Horizon Mix) Seth Vogt - After The Turn Massane - Wintry Wind Orkidea - Sublime Andromedha - Only Wide Open Space And Me L.Gu & Kryptic - Void Arturia & Jodie Knight - Dream In Colour Matt Nash - Forever Paul Thomas - Lorax (Heerhorst Remix) Christoph & Ross Quinn - Turning Away Cubicore & July Mell - Remember Me Another Dimension - Eternal Voices Dennis Sheperd x Brandon Le - Intouchable Bryn Liedl feat Bethany Marie - Sing To Me Harry Square - Two Sides Hausman - Techtonic Narel - Assonance Chicane - Offshore (Kryder Remix) BT - Paper Chairs (Alex Sonata & TheRio Remix) ASCO - Born Slippy Marco V - Aurora Ben Hemsley - Erase Me Sao Miguel - I Feel Loved Very nice. Only a few names do ring bells, sound familiar. But the majority are complete unknowns, and I'm loving it. It's like delving into the abyss, eyes closed, but the outcome is pure bliss. All philosophical bits aside. Let's focus on the mix. And there's nothing much to say. Daniel Skyver has made a very interesting mix. I wasn't expecting anything, if truth be told, but after listening, it has become apparent that his mix is dope, and I can't wait to check out more mixes like this one. It's a blessing to hear this mix, and all the tracks are solid. I feel immediately calm and relaxed. My heart beat won't go above 60 BPMs. It does good things to me, this mix does make me really calm and all anxiety disappears. Don't know what else there is to say? I could ramble on and on, but there's no point. Just chillax, enjoy, and embrace the last few hot days. And why not let Daniel Skyver take you through these hot days? • Radiate - Ode To The Ruffneck Sound (2020)

It's Saturday, and it's roasting. I'm sitting here, and the Sun is already blasting as strong as it could be. Most of the UK are experiencing a heatwave, like the rest of Europe, and it's messing up my brain. Am I abroad, or still in the UK? This heat is normally experienced somewhere abroad, like Greece, Spain or Italy, but here, in London? It isn't normal, but you just have to get used to it, and move on. To be fair, there ain't a lot of moving going on, as it's too damn hot. The only body part moving at the moment is my head, as it's moving to the tunes I'm listening to right now. A mix made by DJ Radiate. Not the first mix I reviewed in the last year or so, as he'd been very active during lockdown. I, for some reason, missed this mix, and only saw it the other day. Which is a pity, as I'm a fan of the Ruffneck sound from back in the day. And he's made this mix using vinyl only, so all you oldskool fanatics, be quiet, Radiate has got your back. The labels run by Ruffneck were successful and the releases were immense. Still highly regarded as the finest Hardcore from back in the days. And Radiate picked these dancefloor slammers, and crammed them in a 53 minute long mix. If you are oldskool like myself, you will know each and every song in this mix. And you'll probably miss this sound a lot. It's interesting, this mix. Not suitable today, as it's too hot to dance anyway, but head bopping is still allowed. Therefore, my suggestion would be, to listen to this mix right now, save it as a favourite, and revisit it in a few weeks, when it is cooler. Listen to it again, and move your body like never before. You could try and do it now, but you might pass out due to the heat, and we don't want that to happen. Pinhead - Slammin Beatz Lockjaw - Smoke Diz One Predator - Mind Of A Lunatic Paradox - The Guillotine Knightvision - Who Is It? Phoenix - Dominate Da Predator - Art Attack Wedlock - Children Of Artcore Nosferatu - Inspiration Vibes Juggernaut - Got 2b A Ruffneck Wedlock - Ruffneck (Sound of The Drum & The Bass) Juggernaut - Ruffneck Rules Da Artcore Scene!!! This is a very good looking tracklist. If you were into Ruffneck and all the subsidiaries, you will know these records, and love the Artcore sound. It's glorious, and they still hold their place in Hardcore history, many years after their release date. Good choice by Radiate to make this mix, and it's been received very well, judging the comments on Soundcloud. There are 19 epic anthems in here. And my most favourite would always be 'I'm a Ruffneck!!' But today I might sway a different way, and choose a different record. And I have. 'Dominate' is now my favourite record. Can't remember which Thunderdome CD it appeared on (guessing 12, the one with the spider on it?). But it has been a favourite of mine for years, and even though the others are good, today I'm feeling this Phoenix track even more. An underrated classic anthem. The Ruffneck vault has got a lot of awesome records in it, and Radiate made a dedication mix. A very good one, and it's also downloadable. So why not go on the page, click download, and let this mix DOMINATE your weekend (see what I did there?). It's a glorious mix, and to this day the best Radiate mix I've found. Could be better ones out there, but I've not found them yet. • A tribute to Marco V & Benjamin Bates (2021)

It's Friday, time to unwind and chill. And earlier today I spoke about Innercity 2000, and now I'm talking about a mix, made by Silvio Aquila, focussed on two artists, of whom one played at Innercity 2000, mainstage. It's Marco V of course. But not just Marco V, also his partner in crime, Benjamin Bates. I had to quickly check, but it seems (according to Discogs) that Marco V is still pushing out records here and there, and Benjamin Bates has gone a bit quiet. Not sure why, if anyone knows, please enlighten me? I do love me some early Marco V music. I just can't help myself. I am in love with his music from around the Millennium, especially the Innercity 2000 CD. That was (and still is) an epic CD. One of my most favourite CDs of all time. And his set was also epic (I think). His partner in crime also worked on an Innercity CD, I think it was the 2002 edition (the 2001 edition was the Japanese styled disc, yes?). I still find that disc the second coolest Marco V CD I've ever listened to. I knew that Benjamin and Marco were partners in crime, but never knew they were involved in all these tracks you will see in this mix. Never knew they collaborated so much, and didn't even know their aliases. Out Of Grace? Southside Spinners? The Fusion? The things you learn every single day! This mix contains the records from around the Millennium by both individuals, on their own, or working together. And if you look at the tracklist, you will know most of these tracks, if not all of them. And it kind of makes me sad that we don't hear this kind of music anymore. The golden years of Trance and Club House music, eh? Benjamin Bates - Locked Up Paul van Dyk - Connected (Marco V Mix) 2 Brothers On The 4th Floor - Heaven Is Here (Marco V & Benjamin Bates Remix) Marco V - Stimulated Benjamin Bates - Morning Glory Rew feat Debora - The Runner (Marco V & Benjamin Bates Remix) The Fusion - Don't Be Afraid Cygnus X - Positron (Marco V Remix) Benjamin Bates - Lost Myself In The Way You Close Your Eyes Tales From The Club - The Clubkeeper Benjamin Bates - Whole Solarstone vs Scott Bond - 3rd Earth (Marco V Remix) Southside Spinners - Luvstruck DJ Ton T.B. - Dream Machine (Marco V Remix) Out Of Grace - Anglia Marco V - Automanual Diminish - Feel That (Out Of Grace Remix) Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar (Marco V Remix) Out Of Grace - Obscura Marco V- Godd Jens - Loop & Tings (Marco V Remix) Out Of Grace - 140 BPM It's an interesting concept, and haven't found any other mixes focussed on these partners in crime. And it's quite diverse, a few Marco V tracks, a few Benjamin Bates songs, and a few collabs between them both. It looks great, but the finishing touches was to be applied. What I mean by that is that it's got a few errors here and there. And even the sound quality seems to be changing. It's not a solid mix, sadly far from it. And that's a shame. It could have had potential, and some sections of this mix are just what I wanted to hear, but it's not perfect. Let me focus on the records instead. The best from Benjamin is 'Whole'. Forgot about this track, on how good it was (and still is). Marco's finest is 'Automanual'. And as a due I would pick 'Obscura'. But these are personal choices, you might have a different list. It's an alright mix. Not perfect, but it gives you enough enthusiasm to go and dig through your collection, to find those golden records from both Marco and Benjamin from around the Millennium era, and reminisce on how good they were. They ruled the dancefloors! • Paul van Dyk - Live @ Innercity, RAI, Amsterdam 30.12.2000

Innercity 2000. One of my first events. And one of the most memorable events ever! Even to this day do I have fond memories of this event. I went with my friend Tom, and had a blast. Also had chewing gum stuck to my backside, but that's a different story. Memorable for all the good reasons. So many great DJs/acts, and even a UK Garage area. So damn freaking cool, it was ground breaking! And of course the legend that was DJ Tiesto. I remember it being a struggle to get in the Progressive area, because EVERYONE wanted to hear him play. But I got a glimpse of him, and then realised it was too damn crowded, so went back to the mainstage area. Truth be told, there were too many great artists to go to, it was difficult to stay in one area the whole night. Just look at the freaking line-up in the picture above. How cool was that? One of the areas I didn't go into much was the 3FM area. But yeah, it was the mainstage, Techno, Club, Progressive, and UK Garage area which appealed to me the most. Back in 2000 this was the ultimate line-up, and it was gorgeous. You might be wondering why I am talking about an event which took place 21 1/2 years ago? Well, I wanted to go back in time, and found this liveset. A set by the mighty Paul van Dyk. Recognise his name? You must know him, right? He was one of the artists on the mainstage, and yes, I did witness his set. Can't remember much from the set, because I was slightly intoxicated, but what I do remember is that the whole night was amazing and I walked for hours. If I had an iWatch back then, my step counter would have be right up there! The Amsterdam RAI is massive to walk through. But yeah, thankfully we've got the sets to listen to, and reminisce to. Paul van Dyk does not need an introduction, but neither does Innercity. This concept was sadly killed/written off by ID&T, but when it emerged out of nowhere toward the end of the 90s, it was so popular. Unbelievably popular. And just look at the line-up, and even the ticket price: €41. That's a bargain. Even to today's standards. Before I get too emotional, let's dive into the tracklist and see what Paul played 21 1/2 years ago, at the might Innercity 2000 - Large & In Charge! I completely forgot those flying through the air. Can't remember how we all got hold of them. Were they distributed freely, or something similar? Not sure, but it was cool as fuck. What I also read was that most people appreciated Marco V's set and Paul van Dyk's one. And will you Adam and Eve it, the set you are going to listen to is Paul's one from the night. And it's got the finest tracks from early 2000/late 90s, when Trance sounded so different. And I have to say that the tracklist shows so many tracks I've not heard in a long time. Probably since the mid 2000s, at least. Underrated, and under appreciated songs. Really cool set, and it stood the test of time. This just reminds me of the glory days of Trance/Tech Trance. And of course I get flashbacks to the actual event. One of the weirdest moments was the Green Velvet on stage. If you were there, remember him screaming in his mic the whole bloody time? It was certainly weird. But back to Paul van Dyk's set. Really good, and highly enjoyable. Put this on, and let the music take you back to 2000. Sit back, and relax. Best track? There are two. 'Sparc' and 'Uno, Dos, Tres, Quatro'. • 2007 - 2011 Classic Hardstyle Mix Part 1 (2 HOURS) - by Scope DJ (2017)

It's Thursday, office time. But in the office you can do two things: listen to your colleagues talking louder than normal, or listen to music. Still performing though, not saying you shouldn't be do anything when listening to music, but I always perform 100 times better with music perforating my eardrums. And that's only a personal preference though. You might like the noises around you. But if you don't, and you want to listen to something cool, hear me out! It's not a brand spanking new mix. It's an oldie, and by old I mean 5 years old. It's not really that old, but some might be thinking 'this isn't a new mix', and those people will get the following response: ''you are absolutely right, well done Sherlock''. This has already been listened to quite a few times, and for some it's not new, but a reintroduction into this mix, which was made by Scope DJ for Scantraxx Records. Scope DJ, a well known producer and DJ, has made this mix, and I had to remind myself what he had made in the past. So I went to Discogs, and found that he's not had releases for a good few years, which seems a shame. During the 2000s and early 2010s he was on it, like a car bonnet. If you want to know what it sounded like, don't worry: Scope DJ has got your back. He made sure that the classics were in this mix, and also a few of his own productions. So without further ado, let me show you the tracklist, if you haven't seen this mix before. If you have, let this be a reintroduction... I can't speak at the moment. I am... speechless. What a brilliant looking tracklist. And it's also a mix you don't want to pause at any stage, but seeing as I'm not WFH but working in the office, I will be disturbed...aaaarghh, the hassle! I am kidding, as you can tell. I do love my work, but I do prefer to hear music. So as long as I can listen to this mix (with or without being disturbed), I'm happy as Larry. This mix is really tight, and Scope DJ has done a marvellous job 5 years ago. He's made a very awesome mix, and the two hours will fly by. You've got 28 of the finest Hardstyle anthems from 2007 to 2011. Not the early early stuff, but still cool enough. And you can tell by just looking at the tracklist who dominated during these years. So many memories, so many hours spent on the dancefloor, listening to these anthems. I feel young again. It was difficult to pick one record, but I choose the last one. 'Warphole'. A timeless masterpiece by Frontliner! I might be 5 years too late, but I'm enjoying it in 2022. See you in another 5 years, I might review the other Scope DJ mix then? • Hardcorn 4 Everypony!!!! (2022)

I know I've done 3 reviews already today, and it's nearly my bed time, but I came across this mix and I had to share it with you all. Why, you might be asking yourself? Well, that's a good question. The main reason being that the mix is fucking dope! The wife is currently having a nice bath, and I had to do the dishes, and I always listen to my music when washing up. When I say always, I do mean always. When I spotted this mix, I gave it a go because it looked quirky and had a weird ass title, and I wasn't even aware it had a tracklist, but what I can say to you now, is that I've got energy! I've got plenty of energy now, after listening to this, and I could not keep this mix away from you all... The mix is made by Fluttershy. Now I'm not familiar with this name, or even why this mix is called 'Hardcore 4 Everypony'!!!!' I am not aware of ponies appreciating Hardcore? Isn't that called animal cruelty? Anyway, whatever the title of this mix might be, or whoever is behind this mix, the end result is something I can really appreciate! As it kind of describes me in a nutshell. My youth was dominated by a few styles, but these were the most listened to: Happy Hardcore, Hardcore, Gabber, and UK Hardcore (not the UK Hardcore I fell in love with after 2003, the really early UK Hardcore stuff). And I always knew I had a weird music taste. I like music to be rough and happy at the same time, or dark and edgy. Or whatever is presented to me. I like 'em all. But not always do you find a perfect list of tracks that all have had an impact on my younger self. Not as diverse as this one. Fluttershy's selection is great, and as random as the tracks are, they fit in really well. Again, I don't know much about this DJ, so we will delve straight into the mix and the tracklist, and it's a beauty! Unknown Artist - Mad-Donna Superior - Plastik Leaders Miss Groovy - Naked Aggression Miss Groovy - Shake It Miss Groovy - Search & Destroy Phoenix - (Now) Who's In Control? Twin Terror - Harmony Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - The Ultimate Sextrack Bass-D & King Matthew - Dance Bass-D & King Matthew feat XD - Like A Dream 4 Tune Fairytales - My Little Fantasy (Bass-D & King Matthew Mix) Nakatomi - Sing (Happy Gabba Mix) Ina-State - Mirror Of Love (U.V. Goosebumps. And you know exactly why. If not, let this be a lesson. This is me in a nutshell. Yes, I like music to be happy and cheerful, but remember that, when these songs were big, I was a teenager. I absorbed everything like a sponge, and music was my water, my liquid. So I know each and every song in this mix, and I adore most of them! I say most of them, because 'Sing' is a great song, but this Happy Gabba mix is just a tad awful, isn't it? The original is slightly better (I say slightly, but it's a thousand times better). Fluttershy has done a great job, and it's an hour of pure happiness. And it's given me so much energy, hence why I'm typing this review at 8:45pm. There is one track in this mix that I cannot stop listening to, and revisit over and over. Whenever I hear it, my face just lights up, and I'm smiling. I'm lightning up like a bloody Christmas tree. And it's probably my ULTIMATE Happy Hardcore song. It's 'My Little Fantasy' by 4 Tune Fairytales. Oh how I LOVE this record. The pinnacle of Happy Hardcore in one song. I have listened to Fluttershy's mix a few times, but I keep on playing this record over and over and over and over and over again. It's just that good. The heat might make us all a bit unhappy and miserable, but enjoy it while you can. And you don't need the TV on to give you some pleasures, just listen to this mix. Just do it! Sorry, it couldn't be 5 stars, the 'Sing' song isn't just my cup of tea lol. DJ: Fluttershy Genre/Style: Early Hardcore, Gabber, Happy Hardcore, UK Hardcore Mix Info: Hardcore 4 Everypony!!! • Innovative @ Millennium Mountain @ Harmony of Hardcore 2022

Harmony of Hardcore. Another event I've never been to, and I call myself a die-hard gabber? More like a zwabber! I feel ashamed, but yeah, that's just how I am. I write these reviews, but never go. Sometimes I'm just being lazy, or sometimes I am too late to purchase tickets. Or maybe I'm just getting too old to go raving all night? Maybe I'm just happy as Larry, sitting at home or driving my car, listening to music? I hope not, but you might never know. I might be a 'young person' with an older person's mindset... But let's not become Benjamin Button or be similar. Let's be TCD and talk about a set I've found today. A set by Innovative. This duo have been the last few editions, and have played the finest Hardcore anthems money can buy. Their sets have been received well, and a lot of positive feedback/comments can be found on Soundcloud. It's not like they are new to the game, as they've been active since the last 2000s, so they've been around for a few years. And you can tell. The set was only 45 minute long, but within those 45 minutes, they raised the madness to a new level. And obviously they brought their A game. They had to. The songs selected are true Millennium anthems. If you don't like it, why the fuck are you even reading this? But if you are into Hardcore, especially Millennium Hardcore, you are going to love this set. A short one, but a powerful one. Today might not be the greatest of days as the temperatures reach peak level (30 degrees as we speak), but make sure you note this mix down, one to check at a later stage, when the world is a bit cooler. It might warm you up then. But don't do it, unless you want to experience a heat stroke. 30 degrees Celsius and this blasting through your speakers, you won't be able to sit still... don't say I didn't warn you? DJ Sim - Simbiosis Nosferatu - Human Experiments Evil Activities - What's Inside Me The Rapist - Mortal Fear Tommyknocker & MC Lob - The Realm The Blaster - War Is Coming Man The Viper vs Mad-E-Fact - The Beatz The Suckerz Wish They Had Bionic Commanders - All Good, All Right Omar Santana - Get Straight To It DJ Vince & DJ Zany - More Bazz w/ Rave Creator - Atmos-Fear DJ Dione - Just Kickin' Ass Bass-D & King Matthew - The Masterplan (DJ Outblast & Dr. Z-Vago Remix) Meagashira - End Of Line Placid K - Stealin' Beats Placid K - G Member E-Noid - I Don't Give A Damn Endymion - Mind And Body As One Nosferatu & Endymion - Drunk With A Gun This is a hard as nails mix. 45 minutes do fly by without you knowing it. They've surely selected a great bunch of records. I've been playing this mix over and over for the last few hours, and thoroughly enjoying myself, and my neighbours probably did too. If not, they can sod off. They are a bunch of miserable people anyway. How can you live without Hardcore, how can you? There's nothing much to say, in my honest opinion. 18 great records, all mixed together beautifully. The only thing I could highlight is my most favourite record of this set, and it's not going to be a debate: it's 'End Of Line' by Meagashira. Come on, no discussion possible, one of the greatest records ever made. Go and listen to this set. It's hot, sweaty, and not a mess (the opposite to what I am now). You won't be disappointed. Well, maybe one side note: should have left 'Simbiosis' play for a tad longer. The full length would be a better option. Why? Because it's fucking SICK! • Pample'mouss - Hardstyle Classic's Session (Part 2) (2017)

From Melodic House to Hardstyle. How can one morning be as diverse as mine? Well, it's because I'm a music lover, and not bound to one style or genre, and I am always happy just hearing music, no matter if it's 100 BPM or 1000BPM. But for today, let's keep the BPMs at an acceptable level, don't want to experience more heat in my office as we speak. It's already 20 degrees Celsius, a nice temperature, but surely the temperature will rise after you start listening to this mix. A mix filled with early Hardstyle anthems. I was looking for more DJ Zany anthems, and I stumbled across this mix. That's how easy it was. Otherwise I would have never found this mix. Never heard of the DJ Pample'mouss, but from now on I will know of him, and will see if he's got more Hardstyle mixes on Soundcloud. I wasn't great at college, and my French wasn't the greatest. But I think the text underneath the mix mentions early Hardstyle from 2000-ish, taken from vinyl and CDs. If I'm incorrect, please let me know, but I think I'm right. Listening to some early Hardstyle mixes throughout the week, I was in need of some more. And I've saved a few mixes, and maybe I'll review them later this week, or never. Who can tell? No one, only me. This mix contains 14 records, and you will surely love them. Early Hardstyle is always the solution to every problem. Headache? Play early Hardstyle. Going through a tough time? Play early Hardstyle. Are you sweating like a pig because of the heat outside? Play early Hardstyle. You catch my drift, yeah? Which records did Pample'mouss use for this set? Well, these... Noisecontrollers - Shrump (DJ Tool) Zany - Animated Audio Noisecontrollers - Gaia 2008 Mr Puta - Green Stuff Josh & Wesz - Overdrive O Toneshifterz - Can't Fail Showtek - FTS (Hard Mix) TNT - Double Dutch Darkies DJ Duro - My Style Is Dutch The Prophet feat Headhunterz - Scar Ur Face Donkey Rollers - The Fusion Of Sound The Prophet & Deepack - Stampuhh Donkey Rollers - Lmpsjnk Zany & The Beholder - Midnight If you are into your early Hardstyle stuff, you will certainly love this mix. It's got a few of the biggest dancefloor anthems from back in the day. Would I pick early Hardstyle over the current Hardstyle? Yes, I certainly would. The tracks from back then were much better. And sometimes borderline hard and rough, or more melodic, etc. It was still in its development stage, so more was possible. Producers were still finding the grounds to build the style onto. They did succeed, but what it shows to me that the early style was so fresh, the current style just build their presence on top of what was already awesome. Or, in short, no need to amend it, as it was already epic. Yes, they did implement some cheese into it. And sometimes it did work. Like 'Stampuhh' and 'Green Stuff'. Yes, they are cheesy as fuck, but oh so recognisable and so early 2000s. Pample'mouss' mix is an interesting one. One that might reignite the spark, and get you back on the early Hardstyle stuff. I was already on it, but it has just made my eagerness for the early stuff explode. I need more early Hardstyle. Cool tracks, but 'Animated Audio' is certainly the best. Early Zany stuff all the way! • Crystal Podcast 01 (2022)

Picture this. You are about to embark on your daily journey home, but the fuel is running low. The journey is roughly 60 miles, but it's driving on the M25 via Heathrow, and you know it's always going to be slow and steady. The service station that you normally go to, is shut down due to work being carried out, and you decide to risk it. The journey becomes more of a challenge: can you make it home before the car conks out? Will it be doable? Will you make it? You start driving cautiously and carefully, but it's still a journey you don't want to make every day... you need something to calm your nerves. Normal journeys for me are filled with harder styles mixes, but yesterday I couldn't. Too much sweating going on, and not because of the heat... And during the journey yesterday, that's when I played this podcast by Crystal Metropolis. Never heard of that name, but don't need to really. My mind was focussed on my fuel and the lack of it. So what a normal sensible person would do, is just to press play, and that's exactly what I've done. And it certainly calmed me down, and lower my blood pressure. And it was good timing too, as the mix ended just as I was driving on the forecourt of the service station. It just had to be like this... But all storytelling aside, let's focus on the mix. The vibes throughout this mix were awesome. Nice and relaxing melodic House music. And that's a style I do not listen to very often, so the names on this tracklist aren't recognised by myself at all, but the music speaks to me directly. I feel connected, and in a state of absolute bliss. It's 77 minutes of smooth and sensual House music. You'll love it. Unless you need something hard and rough. But as the temperatures are going up and up (be careful out there, a weather warning ain't to be taken lightly), we need something suitable, and I think this mix fits in well today. Jerro - Coming Home Nox Van & Marsh - Come Together Eskai - Tides Tagavaka - Mostraumen Klur - Odysee Tim Green - Moss Jerro - Pantheon Nora En Pure - Life On Hold Marsh - Lost In You Nora En Pure - Tantrum (Dark Temper Mix) Volen Sentir - Arrival TInlicker feat Thomas Oliver - Need You Volen Sentir - Ororel A short but very sweet looking tracklist. 13 tracks in 77 minutes. So that tells me Crystal Metropolis takes his time and will let tunes play out as long as possible, and you can certainly hear that during this set. I really enjoyed this mix yesterday, and today too. I'm sitting here, WFH, temperatures are currently manageable (13 degrees Celsius), but they will surely go up and up. And even though it will increase quicker than expected, I am prepared for it. I'm chilled, as we speak. Cool as a cucumber. Not just because I'm sitting here pantsless, but also because of this mix. The tunes might be made by unknown artists (to me), they've certainly left an impact. It's an hour and 17 minutes of pure bliss, and that's what keeps me going through today. And it made the journey home yesterday less stressful. Got no negative feedback, only positive feedback. Loved the mix. And love all 13 records. Suggestion to you to jump on this mix right now, and let it chill you down. Oh, and it's downloadable too, so another reason to give this a go. • Early Hardcore #4 ('93'94) - The Car Park Sessions (2018)

1994 is such an underrated year. Hardcore/Gabber was so damn good , but it seems all other years are talked about more than 1994, which is a shame. I got into Hardcore back in 1993, but in 1994 my love for Hardcore grew even more and more, and I became obsessed with it. Obviously when the years went by, my love just continued, but 1994 was important to me. Hardcore was still in its infancy, but it was growing into this major player in the Dance scene. The sound was still in the development stage, but it was going somewhere. Was it great? Yes and no. Some records were instant dancefloor smashers and some just so damn obscure, you would only hear them once, and they would disappear from the face of the Earth. But whatever your stance is on 1994, it was an important year. So why am I talking about 1994? Well, it's because of DJ Radium's mix I found the other day. one he uploaded it 4 years ago. Normally I would just listen to such a mix but wouldn't write a review, but someone was so kind enough to add a tracklist to the mix, so I had to jump on it, and write a review. And seeing as DJ Radium has been in the game since the early 90s, he definitely knows what to play. And this mix is dedicated to the early Hardcore years... You might like it or you don't. It could be that you are too young to remember the early days, or you aren't into Hardcore at all. But if you are too young, you might want to be educated? You might want to know what the majority of ravers used to listen to during the early years? You might be interested in the kind of songs that shaped Hardcore for years to come? 31 records in 70 minutes long mix. Glorious. It will bring a huge smile on your face, and will leave you speechless. The tracks are gorgeous, but I'm rambling on for too long. Time for you to see the tracklist! Too Fast For Mellow - In My House Wedlock - I'm The Fuck You Man! D.J. Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - Harm Me Two Terrorists - M.F. D.J. The Original Gabber - The Headbanger Sensor - A Sick Mind Is A True Delight Noisegate - Goddamn' Mind F. Salee - The End Of The Beginning Neophyte - Last Recall Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - The Bird T.O.P.D.R.O.P. - Achtung! You might think it's a tad too hard, but if that's the case, maybe listen to something from 1996? Not 1994. But if you think that this tracklist is a work of art, just scroll down and press play. You won't be disappointed. Radium has done his best to make this mix work, and it's got raving reviews on Soundcloud. Radium knows his stuff, but he's one of the OGs. Active since the early 90s, you can leave it up to him to produce a wicked mix. I really enjoyed this mix. It's got a lot of the well known anthems, but also a few obscure ones. You probably know them, but you don't hear them that often. Which is a pity, if truth be told. We need a bit of everything: known and unknown. Remember the glory days in its fullest way. Are all tracks great? Well, some are superb, some are OK. But the general gist of this mix is a positive one. I really appreciate Radium going through his record collection, and playing the tracks that demolished the dancefloors back in 1994. It's 70 minutes of pure pleasure, that's for sure. Best record? A bit biased, but '6 Million Ways To Die'. Still a great anthem! • Smith & Brown - Situated Beneath 006 (2022)

I've been on a roll today. And I've got yet another mix you need to listen to. One by Smith & Brown. Remember those names? Yes, you obviously do. A long time ago they were regulars to this page, and I have reviewed a few of their mixes. Don't know why they flew under the radar for a while, but thankfully I found a new mix, mixed by them in July 2022,It might be worth your time, if you love Trance and a bit of Hard Techno, all in one mix. I certainly do, so when I pressed play and listened to this mix, I knew it was going to be a great hour. An hour of pleasure. I do love a bit of Trance and Techno, all in one mix. And Smith & Brown have done their best to deliver. The mix is an hour long with a few of the greatest tracks in here. Certified speaker blowing anthems. And this being the sixth instalment, it gives me a lot of hope that there are 5 other mixes out there, as good, or even better than this one? The music is great. Already listened to this mix multiple times today, and it's been blasting through my speakers, and shaking my desk hard. A nice blend between Techno and Trance, and it works extremely well. And, as an added bonus, if you haven't heard of Smith & Brown before, they've played two of their own records in here. So this could be the ultimate introduction? You will certainly embrace them both after hearing this mix. But what's in this mix, I hear you say??! Well, these records were selected by Smith & Brown: Renegade System & Marty Cassidy - Escalate H! Dude - Albert Tasso & Pulse Code - Activate H! Dude - The Deal Project 8 - Move On Shugz - Blood Rush Smith & Brown - Supercell Camelphat x Artbat feat Rhodes - For A Feeling (Greg Downey Rework) Mark Sherry meets Space Frog & Derb - Follow Me (N.O.B.A. Remix) David Forbes - Octagon Will Atkinson - Rush (John O'Callaghan Remix) Smith & Brown - Survival It's a short but very sweet set. And there are two records in here which stand out by a mile. Have a guess which two I'm talking about? Any ideas? Well, let me just keep you in suspense even longer, or shall I just say it? Both records by H! Dude are freaking epic. I've never heard of H! Dude before, but certainly the two records in this mix have made me a fan! My God, can they be any darker, rougher, and tougher? Obviously it's not just about these two records. The 12 selected by Smith and Brown are all top notch records, and the hour flies by. But I just keep on rewinding back to both H! Dude records. Because they give me the most energy out of all of them. But the biggest surprise of this mix, Smith & Brown's last track... just tore me a new one! My sweet Lord, what a way to end this mix. Thumbing beats, and I love it! • The Early Hardcore Megamix .mp3 (2021)

I love me a bit of Early Hardcore, especially from the albums you can see in the above picture. And it can give me goose bumps going up and down my spine. I am a sucker for the early stuff, and whenever I spot a mix on Soundcloud with a tracklist, it just makes my day even better. Todays mix already gets bonus points for a wicked image. Yes, it's just a bunch of CDs on top of each other, but to me that is just pure pornography. As I had all of them. Well, not the specific German editions I can see here? Don't even know why there were so many different versions of one CD? The mix is a megamix with 55 records in a 2 hour long mix. Not true to the word megamix, if I'm being honest. If I were to think of a megamix, I would think of 100 records in 10 minutes. Not that they are any better, as some are just utter garbage and not worth of having the title megamix. But the person behind this mix (Diagno!ze) did his best to provide us with a 2 hour long Hardcore fest! And yes, it does contain the forgotten anthems, the early early stuff. The records so unique, you couldn't even classify them as Hardcore, as Hardcore was still in the development stage. You could call them Acid Techno House or whatever floats your boat. It did have certain Hardcore music requirements, but yeah, not 100% Hardcore. Like, for example, Zekt's 'External'. When the beats and bass kicks in, yeah, it's rough, but the majority of the track is extremely Acid Techno like, it becomes this mixture of a track, suitable at any event. But I'm getting too picky now. Let's focus on the tracks selected for this mix. And they are glorious! Looking at the tracklist will take you back immediately to the early years. Anyone feel like a teenager again? Because I do! Salee - A Night In Boston The Prophet - God Dione - The Flipside Lenny Dee & Ralphie Dee - I Control Your Body Tschabos - Gib Mir Die Bass (Noch Korrekter) The tracklist looks great. And it's a nice mixture of the really early stuff, to the mid 90s, to the late 90s. Credit where credit is due, Diagno!ze has created a very nice tracklist. Different, that's for sure. Now comes the hard bit. The mix itself. It's OK. Not perfect, and full of little mixing errors. And even the build up of the set can be a tad off. Going from the early stuff to the later stuff and back. It would have been slightly better if it were to follow a pattern: from old to new? Here it's like whatever is on the decks is being played. And not always carefully mixed together. That's a shame though. It's a breath of fresh air to see this tracklist. Not following the conformity, but doing whatever they like. And I appreciate it. It could have been better. It is highly enjoyable, but could have been so much better. Best track? One you don't hear that often, but deserve all the love and credit it deserves: VCD - Hydrochloric. • Makina 2 (2022)

A few months ago, DJ Skyline uploaded a nice mix, all focussed on the 200th release on Scarred Digital. And now he's back with yet another mix. Yes, he did another UK Hardcore mix (the third instalment), but I'm more interested in this Makina mix. As I'm not 100% familiar with the music, I had to do some research. I came across this short video from the BBC, where they were talking about how popular it is up North. But that still didn't answer my question. So I had to Google it a bit more, and it was interesting to find the roots of it all... Spain... It started back in the late 80s in Spain, and obviously grew over the years. As it's known for being a sub genre of Hardcore, and it being similar to UK Hardcore, it might be something you are into? DJ Skyline's mix does contain records so similar to UK Hardcore, it's difficult to distinguish them from each style, as they could work in both styles. It does sound a tad different, but only in the slightest. I'm not familiar, but will happily listen to it. And Skyline's mix contains so many unknown records (and artists) to me, I am jumping in this mix completely blind. But the main question is, is it worth it? If you like UK Hardcore and a bit of cheese, this mix might be perfect for you. Or if you are from up t'North (is that the way to spell it?), you already know the style and love it. I'm just going to give you the tracklist now, and it might persuade you? Deivid Sound - Reborn xavi BCN vs Kroma - Up Da Beat deneb - Oriental Fantasy II Elmo - Age Of Wonder M+ - 2k16 Rework yoldi psicotic - Memories Irish Kappa - The Wheel Of Time fires - 680 Ohm Base Rodger Hard - Makina Propeller Alex Slim - Knights And Pirates MasonicAMV - Gucci MasonicAMV - Circus Rodger Hard - Poison Synth Wow. A tracklist with artists I've never heard of before. I've never looked at a tracklist and it not doing a single thing to me, it doesn't make me happy or sad. It's just like a blank piece of paper. The names don't ring any bells, so I can't judge them at all. What I can judge, is the music. The music is good! Really cheerful, happy, and uplifting. Yes, it does sound a lot like UK Hardcore, but it's doesn't fully copy UK Hardcore. It does sound slightly different. Bit more bouncier, bit more happier. And it's been an hour of happiness, that's for sure. Skyline's mix is interesting, and certainly had the bounciness I needed this morning. It's happy, chirpy, and extremely bouncy. It's given me enough energy for the rest of the day. I will certainly check out his first instalment, but for now I'm all over this mix, and I will go on a hunt on Soundcloud to find more of these. Really cool mixes. And the best song in this mix has to be 'Up Da Beat'. Yes, I'm WFH again. You can tell when I'm in the office or working from home: if I'm in the office, no reviews. Simply because I do not have the time. Travelling for 1 1/2 hour in the morning, and 2 to 3 hours in the evening home. Don't want to review after that. And I don't blame myself, but what it does give me, is an opportunity to listen to some new mixes on the way to and from work. And as I've been in a specific mood lately, you can guess what this review is focussed on? Correct, the early 90s and Rave music. So yeah, this mix you are about to listen to was the one keeping me entertained on the M25 yesterday. 1991, I was 8 years old. And sometimes I wish I was born a few years earlier, so I could have experienced the 90s fully. Not saying that I didn't listen to Rave music in 1991, because I did (my dad was a fan back then), but I didn't knew the meaning of Rave, I just thought it was cool music, different to the standard top 40 shite on the radio. I think it would have been a different experience for me if I was born in 1973, and I would have been able to actually go to raves during the early 90s. That would have been so freaking cool! Why would it have been cool? Well, multiple reasons. But the main reason being that the music was super fucking dope! It is a shame, but you can't change the past, but we can try and relive the moment. Just pretend it's 1991 and we are raving. Just close your eyes and let the music take you on a journey. Today's mix was made by Daz, and the tracks selected are the following few: Ray Keith - Mutations Rhythm Section - Check Out The Bass Cedric Winkleburger - Take It Easy Rhythm Section - Atomic Fast Eddie - Hip House N Joi - Manic Beltram - Energy Flash Dave Angel - R&S Rhythm Section - Coming On Strong Kick Squad - Champion Sound D Zone - Club Quest 4 Hero - Scorcher Fantasy - UFO 2 Bad Mice - Bomb Scare 2 Bad Mice - Hold It Down 2 Bad Mice - Ware Mouse Turntable Overload - T.T.O. Meat Beat Manifesto - Babylon Da Juice - C'mon C'mon Gathering Momentum - Trance Mission D Shake - My Heart, My Beat Industrial - Severe Trauma Hypnotist - Rising High Shaggy & Breeze - Sabatt Dave Angel - Poison Hypnotist - Hardcore Flashback time! Did anyone request a time machine that takes us back to 1991? Anyone? Well, if no one is joining, I'll be going back in time. Every mix I find online has something new and exciting to bring to the table. Yes, each mix has got the big anthems, but also a few obscure ones too. And this mix is no exception. We all know the 2 Bad Mice songs, D Shake, Fast Eddie, Joey Beltram etc, but there's a few in here I've not come across before, or haven't heard in years! But come on, how can you not pick a 2 Bad Mice song as your favourite? 'Bomb Scare' is a true dancefloor smasher, and holds its value to this day. A timeless classic. Can't believe it's 31 years old! Unbelievable. Daz has made an interesting mix. Good selection of tracks. A few mixing errors, but nothing major. Still a highly enjoyable mix, especially when you think 1991 was a great year. • Bass - D - Ground Zero 2022 Multigroove Stage Warm Up Mix

If I remember correctly, Ground Zero couldn't take place last year, right? Well, it does make sense, as the first one was held in 2006, and 15 years later takes you right to 2021. But obviously COVID has changed the world, and has been generically a pain in the rectum for everyone on this Earth. But do not fear, 2022 is here. And Bass-D is here to entertain those that are going, or those who just want to hear an ace mix. It's a big mix, but I would not have expected anything else from this mix master! Ground Zero has got a sick line-up, and it's really awesome looking. Spread over a few areas (Mainstage, Bonnie & Clyde, Infernal Thunderstorm, River of Blood, Death Of The Firstborn, Wild Creatures, Plague Of Locusts), it does have the finest artists out there. And you will certainly find an area suitable for you. The names of the areas are weird, but hey, that shouldn't affect you. But if you are going to Ground Zero, make sure you visit the Wild Creatures area. Also known as the Multigroove stage. Why, you might be wondering? Well, Bass-D is playing there. You don't want to miss this set. The ambassador of Ground Zero is playing there. You do not want to miss this. He will surely take you on a trip down memory lane, and even with this promo mix, he takes you back to the early days. But TCD, which tracks did he select? Good question, and thankfully I can answer that for you. It came with a tracklist, and it's a glorious and sexy looking one. So, here it is: Dream Your Dream - Soushkin Rotterdamnation - Trashdamien (Martello) X Change - Ready To Rock X Buzz - Overload 25th Frame - Percolator Atomium - Speedy Gonzales Bisart - Wrong Is Right (Franky Jones Remix) Frantic Explosion - Frantic The Brain - Crasy One Manuel E.S. - Old Soul Undercover Anarchist - Yo Te Quirro Waxweazle - Hardcore Power '97 (Promo Remix) Firestarter - Burn Mother Fucker Steve Shit - I Wantcha All 2 Say Shit George Vagas - Hyperdome Dr Pravda - Krankenhaus Gizmo - Don't You Want My Lovin' Asylum - Mescalum Undercover Anarchist - Ass Off (Remix) Omar Santana - Step The Fuk Back (Omar Santana Remix) Myztic - Dangerous Battle Rotterdam Terror Corps - Horror (Buzz Fuzz Remix) Bass-D & King Matthew - Let's Get Fresh Genaside - Eliminator (Live Version) Fun A Tic - The Final Dimension Buzz Fuzz - D-Leria Reyes - My World The 2 Macks meet Buzz Fuzz - Love & Devotion Gizmo - Monological Destruction Dr. Macabre - Gates Of Hell Deaz D - Acid Yell (Gizmo Remix) This is a great looking tracklist, and made me yearn for more. Bass-D's mixes are always highly entertaining, and always contain the records you do not hear often. And this mix contains a shit ton of them. So many great anthems, and oh so suitable for Ground Zero. There are a shit ton of records in here you don't hear that often. And there's no clear reason as to why, as they are all 'fresh'. But what the reason might be, at least Bass-D is playing them in this promo mix. And he doesn't care at all: he throws in whatever he feels like playing. The result? An hour of Hardcore classics. Bass-D doesn't care. He does whatever he fancies. And it's good. For who? For us. We love a mix here and there, that doesn't fit in the 'standards' of mixes. He just plays whatever he feels like playing, and it brings a smile on my face. And he also makes it work beautifully in this mix. Don't forget, he's the mix masters! This mix might not have 3800 records in 2 minutes, but it's still impressive. 31 records in 65 minutes. I just screamed at this mix, screaming for mercy. The piano bit in 'Love & Devotion'. He decided to go to the next track, and completely miss the best bit of this record. It would have been my favourite song in this mix, based on that piano section. Damn you Bass-D, that piano bit is the best! But, instead, I've gone for 'Acid Yell' by Deaz D, remixed by Gizmo. You cannot think of anything early or oldskool without this record. This has got multiple styles in it, and still maintains to be a wicked Hardcore anthem. Timeless classic, so underrated. A solid mix. And a mix that keeps me going through this Sunday. I hate to say this, but everyone going to Ground Zero, have fun (why hate this? well, it's because I'm not going). Have fun, and make sure you see Bass-D. You just have to. Pioneer, and mix master! • Foul Play Vs. Omni Trio Mixtape (Side A + B) (2022)

It's Wednesday, time to relax, and rewind. And today I've got a brilliant two piece mix by Selectabwoy. As we all know, Selectabwoy is a regular to this page, and we've reviewed many mixes over the years. The last mix was the birthday mix he made for his wife, and now he's back with a mixtape. A mixtape, I hear you say? What's that? Well, kids, that's a term we used to describe a cassette with songs on it. Mixed together, obviously. But if you don't know what a cassette is, then all is lost.. but fear not: Google is your friend. Just Google what the older generations used to listen to. What kind of media there was. And you'll be astonished. Now you all know I'm a huge Drum & Bass, Hardcore, Jungle, etc fan. And I know my bit. But I never went into making the effort in finding out who's behind each alias. The mixtapes I'm talking about, is all focussed on Foul Play and Omni Trio. I've seen the names in many mixes, and heard many of their tunes, but never done any research. And I still won't. Who do you think I am, a gossip website owner? Nah, I'm a music blogger, and my focus is on the music. Couldn't care less if it was an alias created by Santa Claus: as long as the music is ace. So let's focus on the music. The mixtape was split into two: side A and side B. The first side contains the early Hardcore anthems from around 92/93, and side B more on the music from 94/95, atmospheric Jungle. So you get the best of both worlds. Who doesn't love Jungle, and Hardcore? These mixes will put a smile on your face, and will take you back roughly 30 years in time. You are going to love this mix, but truth be told, when has Selectwaboy ever released a mix that was bad? That's right, NEVER. SIDE A Foul Play - Open Your Mind (Foul Play Remix) Omni Trio - Feel Good (Original In Demand Mix) Foul Play - Dubbing You Omni Trio - Renegade Snares (Foul Play Remix) Foul Play - Survival Omni Trio - Original Soundtrack Foul Play - Murder Most Foul Haute Control - Future Stylin' Foul Play - Screwface Omni Trio - Stronger 4 Horsemen Of The Apocalypse - We Are The Future Omni Trio - Mainline Foul Play - Feel The Vibe (Again) Splice - Falling (In Dub) Foul Play - Finest Illusion (Illegal Mix) Omni Trio - Step Off (Gold Blend Mix) SIDE B Omni Trio - Nu Grooves '94 Foul Play - Strung Out Omni Trio - Rollin' Heights 4 Horsemen Of The Apocalypse - Drowning In Her (Phantasy & Aphrodite Remix) Foul Play - Total Control (Origin Unknown Remix) Omni Trio - Renegade Snares (Foul Play VIP Remix) Omni Trio - Thru The Vibe (Bongo Mix) Foul Play - Ignorance Foul Play - Chrysalis Omni Trio - Living For The Future (FBD Project Remix) Omni Trio - Soul Promenade Omni Trio - Feel Good '95 Foul Play - Being With You (E-Z Rollers Remix) Foul Play - Cuttin' Loose That's a great looking tracklist. Nice that it's split into two mixes. And as mentioned before, you get a bit of both worlds. The early Hardcore stuff, and the early Jungle stuff. And both are present in the mix. Both Omni Trio and Foul Play get equal amount of airtime. Which is good, because it balances this mix out a lot. And who doesn't want to hear the tracks by these two legendary names in the scene? There are so many great songs in here. It's only roughly an hour and a half long, but Selectabwoy crammed in 29 records. And they are all worth your time. Obviously the biggest hits are in here, and yes, I do like 'Renegade Snares'. And everybody who loves Hardcore/Breakbeat/Jungle loves it too. A certified classic, that's for damn sure. Both sides are truly great. A nice and relaxing mixtape, that will give you warm and fuzzy feelings. Never during this mix (be it side A or B) does it become obnoxious, it remains pleasant throughout the set. And that's how music should be. The flow is extremely good, and leave it up to Selectabwoy to make a mix sound epic. He's done yet another epic job, and these two mixes are yet another success story for Selectabwoy. But if you had to pick, who would you pick? Omni Trio, or Foul Play? I know my answer, but do you? • No Frills - Just Good Music Vol 1 - Oldskool Rave Vinyl Mix - Chase Water (2022)

A couple of weeks ago I reviewed the second instalment of Chase Water's 'Oldskool Rave Vinyl Mix', and to me it was a brilliant mix. Really cool to hear those classic anthems again, it made me feel young again. As the second instalment was a success, I had to jump the bandwagon and listen to the first, and boy, it wasn't a disappointment. And as I mentioned, I know nothing about the DJ, but what the DJ has done, is create a memorable mix. But is the first one as good as his second mix? We're here to find out! If you love your oldskool rave anthems, you are in for a treat. If you need to go back to the early 90s, Chase Water has got your back. BUT, is it as good as the second mix (sounds like I'm reviewing a Star Wars film... never know which order they were released... confusing). I might give away spoilers (not to the Star Wars films), but the answer is yes. And the reason to that is, well, only one reason: the tracks are bigger than the second mix. More dancefloor smashers. More club bangers. More memorable rave anthems. Chase Water has really underlined his mix title 'just good music'. That's certainly what you can find in this mix. And I'm not kidding you, if you scroll just slightly down, you will see the tracklist, and you know that he's picked big anthems. How big you might say? Well, big enough to destroy the bass bins, I'm telling ya. They are the crème de la crème. If you use the word oldskool, you immediately think of these songs. They've been carefully selected, and mixed into an hour and a half long mix. 27 records. What else could you wish for? A tracklist, perhaps? Well, aren't you a lucky person? Here it is: Terrorize - Feel The Rhythm (Firing Remix) Liquid Crystal - I'll Take You SY-KICK - Take A Look D.M.S. - Vengeance The House Crew - We Are Hardcore Altern 8 - Activ 8 (Come With Me) Ratpack - Captain Of The Ship The Prodigy - Charly (Original Mix) Sonz Of Loop Da Loop Era - Far Out 2 Bad Mice - Hold It Down Rhythm Quest - Closer To Your Dreams (Hybrid Mix) Manix - Feel Real Good Kicks Like A Mule - The Bouncer (Original Mix) Zero B - Lock Up (Monolith Mix) System Exclusive - Parallel Dimension SY-KICK - Nasty (Remix) The Ratpack - Searchin' For My Rizla Dub War - Dub War (Chapter Three) Acen - Trip II The Moon (Kaleidoscopiklimax) Acen - Trip II The Moon Liquid Crystal - You Got Me (Remix) SY-KICK - Harmonizer Messiah - Temple Of Dreams Bizarre Inc. - Playing With Knives (Quadrant Mix) Xenophobia - Rushing The House (DJ Mix) The Awesome 3 - Don't Go Shut Up And Dance feat Peter Bouncer - Raving I'm Raving Will you look at this? Gorgeous looking tracklist, with the right tracks. Yes, the second instalment had a brilliant tracklist too, but this one just looks slightly better, and sounds better too. I had this set up to be reviewed sooner, but for whatever reason, I didn't. So it was saved as draft, but today I needed to hear rave anthems, and I thought I'd give this another go. So glad that I did that, because I'm sitting here, in my office, WFH, enjoying the mix a lot. No better way of starting the day than with a good set. And Chase Water has delivered another epic mix. Hit after hit. That's what you find in this mix. It's so damn good to hear them in a 97 minute long mix. And it's difficult to pick one track as my favourite. I'm still in love with 2 Bad Mice's 'Hold It Down', but in this mix 'Rushing The House' did more damage, so I'll pick that as my favourite. A gorgeous mix. Nothing wrong, everything's perfect. Make sure you check out this mix (and the other one too), and enjoy it as much as I have. Let today (Tuesday) be a throwback to the 90s. • Billy Daniel Bunter – 1989 (Journey Through My Record Collection Part 2) (2022)

The year is 1989. I was only 6 years old. And my wife was born in that year. Can't think of anything else happening in 1989. There were probably a billion things happening in that year, but as I was too young and more focussed on kids TV shows like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Transformers, and more. Funny to think that the dance scene was becoming bigger and bigger, and those old enough to go out were hitting the dancefloors all over the world. Or some were DJing. And some weren't into dance music at all, but they missed out on such an important time in our lives. Dance music, as new and fresh as it was back in 1989, was going to undergo massive changes, starting in the late 80s. Whenever I think of 1989, I think of House. More specifically, Acid House. And one of the DJ names that I think of, is Billy 'Daniel' Bunter. I remember years ago he did a few Acid House sets on his radio show, which I adored. He introduced me into so many 'never heard of' anthems, As mentioned before, I was only 6 years old in 1989, so I've got a lot of catching up to do. And today's mix is one filled with brilliant anthems, all from his personal collection. It's been a while since I last reviewed a BDB mix. Most mixes I come across do not have a tracklist, so I was pleased to find 2 in one go, both having tracklists. The other mix is also a new one, which is focussed on Breakbeat Hardcore, with tracks up to 5 years old. So fairly new and fresh sounding tracks. And as much as I adore Breakbeat, I had to jump on this oldskool Rave/House mix. You know I'm a sucker for the older rave classics... can't help it. We all know BDB knows his stuff, and is very passionate about music. But is his mix worth listening to? Is it worth 69 (hehe) minutes of your time? Is it a dope mix, or just yet another 1989 mix we've seen and heard before? Well, time for you to figure out: Rave 2001 - Seduce Me K Tronics Ensemble - House Of Calypso (Dub) Virgo Four - Do You Know Who You Are No Smoke - Koro Koro Akasa - A Night In My Life Rickster - We Got The Music Precious - Definition Of A Track (Back To Basics) 4 Play - Feel The Music (Nix Mix) Da Posse feat Martell - Searchin Hard (Mike Dunns AC Mix) Debbie Malone - Rescue Me Beloved - Sun Rising (Deeply Satisfying) Mondee Oliver - Stay Close (Fingers Club Vocal) Jesus Love You - After The Love Bas Noir - My Love Is Magic (Dub) LandLord - I Like It The Style Council - Promised Land Petra & Co - Just Let Go (Dub) R Tyme - Illusion (Mayday Mix) Reese - Rock To The Beat (Mayday Mix) Tranzy T - Give It Up A very sensual tracklist, it has to be said. It starts with a very sensual song, and it ends with a big tune. And all the tracks in-between are also big anthems. It's an hour and 9 minutes of pure pleasure. Leave that to mr. Bunter, he will certainly find the best of the best, and plays them all. This mix has got the best tracks from 1989. Well, there are more than 20, but at least it shows how good 1989 was. Dance music was still developing itself, and you can tell that certain tracks are already way ahead of their time, and would influence future artists in creating new styles and genres. But the birth place of many new styles has to be House music. And Techno. This has been a very pleasant mix, but I would not have expected anything else from BDB. He always delivers, and when it comes to the oldskool sound, he's a master. But if you look closely at the picture, you can see the walls are covered in vinyl. Can't even see any walls anymore. He's got a lot of tracks on vinyl, so endless music. And a lot of pennies spent on vinyl, that's for sure. This mix is vinyl only. And you wouldn't be able to tell. The quality of the songs is truly astonishing. Some people say that vinyl isn't great, as the quality sucks, but in this mix I couldn't really tell. Yes, every so often you hear the famous crackling noises, but all in all a very high quality mix. It's a splendid mix with splendid anthems. Leave that to BDB. He's got our backs. I will listen to the Breakbeat mix, but only after I hear this 1989 mix once more. I just have to. Best record? 'Rock To The Beat'. No debate. No discussion. Big monster anthem that stood the test of time rather well! • Balearic Ibiza Inspired Trance Classics Summer Mix (Mixed By Divine) (2022)

Monday has arrived, and I've lost my mojo. It always happens on a Monday, or even a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or even Friday. Enough mojo during the weekend, but yeah, today is a day where I know for sure, it won't go by quickly. Normally I would need something hard, raw, and rough, just to keep my energy levels way up high, but when I spotted this mix on Soundcloud the other day, I knew I had to give it a go, and see if it would boost my levels. And it's a set full of Trance classics. A set your neighbours won't mind if you play at maxed out volume, right? Balearic Ibiza inspired Trance. Isn't that just a fancy way of saying 'Trance music that's played in Ibiza'? To be honest, I've never been to Ibiza, but heard many stories of those who actually went. It sounded like the perfect island for clubbing. For me it was Greece, but for many fellow Dutchman (and woman) it was Ibiza. And for many Brits too. The island has got many memorable memories, and has cemented its place in modern day music history, as the place to be. And Trance music just sounds perfect: nice temperatures, nice drinks, beaches everywhere... and music blasting through the speakers. Sounds like the perfect package. To be completely real with you all, I don't need to be in Ibiza to fully appreciate the music selected by Divine. But it would be a nice added bonus. Sand, sea, beaches, cocktails, etc. It's slightly different compared to a beach holiday at Great Yarmouth... wouldn't you agree? Let's focus on the mix and the tracklist. See what Divine has selected, and how awesome they are. Are they really Trance classics? Well, only one way to find out: Tiësto - Ten Seconds Before Sunrise Age Of Love - The Age Of Love (Jam & Spoon Watch Out For Stella Mix) Nalin & Kane - Beachball 2003 (Original Extended Mix) Lustral - Everytime (Nalin & Kane Remix) Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar (Three 'N One Remix) Chicane - Saltwater (Tomski vs Disco Citizens Remix) Agnelli & Nelson - Everyday (Original Mix) Three Drives On A Vinyl - Sunset On Ibiza (Original Mix) Art Of Trance - Madagascar (Ferry Corsten Remix) Aurora - Hear You Calling (Darkmoon Remix) Chicane feat Justine Suissa - Autumn Tactics (Thrillseekers Club Mix) Chicane - Halcyon (Airscape Remix) That's one sunny looking tracklist. At the moment here in London, the sun isn't out yet, and it's only 17 degrees Celsius, but hopefully it will return later today, peaking through the clouds, and giving me a glimpse of Ibiza, and those that are raving the day/night away. Just that tiny glimpse will do me. I really enjoyed this mix. Yes, they are filled with the big anthems, but hey, it's the Summer, why wouldn't you want to hear these classics? Divine's selection is great. Yes, they are the classics we all know and love and heard a billion times, but it seems to work for me. Starting off with a big anthem by Tiesto, followed by Energy 52, Art Of Trance, Nalin & Kane, and more (not in this specific order, mind you). The 71 minutes do fly by before you know it, and you are in a state of Trance when you reach the end of the set. Got nothing negative to mention. Want to hear good Trance music? Trance classics? Well, you are in luck: just check out this mix by Divine, and let it take over your dreary Monday, and turn it into a blissful one. Best track? Simple. Without question, it has to be 'Cafe Del Mar'. • Euro Core Volume One (2022)

I just finished Sied van Riel's set at ASOT 600, Minsk, and I just jumped back on my saved favourites on Soundcloud, and saw this mix. Only uploaded a day ago, but you know I was on it immediately. It's a mix by DJ Virus, why wouldn't I jump on it? A few months ago I discovered his page, and it's been one of my favourite pages to visit. So many great mixes, and his latest mix is just perfect. If you had to describe me in the 90s, this would have been the right mix. I was a full on Happy Hardcore fanatic, and even in 2022 I can announce that I'm still a cheese lover. And that's exactly what DJ Virus has done: he made a mix with the most cheesiest European Happy Hardcore songs from the 90s. And it suits me well. Yes, I've got a love-hate relationship with cheesy music. Yes, I love me a bit of cheese, but it needs to be cool cheese. Not the commercial cheese, songs that were just made to cash in on the success of Happy Hardcore. But to be fair, aren't all tracks made to make a few pennies here and there? Well, you know what I'm saying anyway. Ah, maybe I'm just talking bollocks. Maybe I just hate a few songs, because I find them crap. Maybe that's just it. And at first glance this mix doesn't contain any songs I despise, so that's a good thing. It's filled with the classics, that's for sure. Good selection, DJ Virus, good selection! I always look back at my youth, and during the 90s I was a full on Happy Hardcore fan. And the tracks Virus has selected, are ALL from my youth, and I loved them, and adored them. I was such a fan of Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo, Paul Elstak, Dune, T-Spoon, and more. So to hear them in one epic mix, just makes me a very happy person. Happier than I am already. Kina - Heaven's Door Pearl - Go Higher (Happy Hardcore Extended) T-Spoon - Smiling (Before The Storm Mix) Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - Stars (Rave Mix) Dune - Are You Ready To Fly Visa - Fly Away (Visa Vocal Club Mix) Club Factory - Time After Time Nakatomi - Children Of The Night (XXL Version) Unicorn - Living In A Fantasy (Extended Radio Mix) Interactive - Forever Young (Extended Version) Damnation - Raving & Grooving (Wonderland Mix) Tokyo Ghetto Pussy - I Kiss Your Lips Uranus - Flowed On A Vibe (Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo Remix) Pulp Shock - Take Me Away Paul Elstak - The Promised Land (Digidance Extended Mix) Dune - Can't Stop Raving Tiny Tot - Discoland (Raveland Mix) Phoenix - Feel My Love 2 Brothers On The 4th Floor - Come Take My Hand (K&A's Happy Hardcore Blast) Mega 'Lo Mania - Emotion Dune - Million Miles From Home Andrea True - Lovin' You (Black Cat Mix 2) Eye2Eye - Set Me Free Nyed - Everybody Pom Pom (Start Up Mix) Captain Hollywood Project - Find Another Way Body Parts - Without You Paul Elstak - Rainbow In The Sky (K&A's Extended Blast) Daddy's Little Girl starring Angel & Miker G. - Catching The Stars This takes me back to when I was a teenager and full of spots. And no clue of how the world worked. To me, the world was only filled with cheerful and exciting music, nothing else. Nothing could prepare me for what was ahead of it all: me growing up, knowing what all the adults know. Being young is the best, no worries at all. Wish I could go back in time. Virus has made a very interesting mix. One that I will cherish until the end of days. I adore Happy Hardcore, and will say it again and again. It's such an underrated sub genre of Hardcore which should get more credit and more appreciation. You might not appreciate it as much as you should do, but it was important to many in the 90s. And it's part of our youth. And I'm asking you. Shouldn't that be enough for you to acknowledge it for what it was, and still is? I've only got love and admiration for Virus' mix. Please please, pretty please, make more of these mixes. This is just so freaking good. More of this cheese, please? Best record? I really liked the first one by Kina, but Tokyo Ghetto Pussy is the best one. It's one that stays in your head the rest of the day! • Sied van Riel - Live @ A State Of Trance 600 Minsk - 07.03.2013

It's Sunday, time to relax. And there's only one way to do that. If the temperatures are soaring today (like here, 26 degrees Celsius), most people will sit in their garden, having a BBQ. You need some banging tunes to go along with it, so why not listen to some Trance music? I know for sure that the BBQ session will become a more pleasant one, and it will be an even better one if the set is done by one of the coolest dudes in the Trance scene. Yes, I'm obviously talking about the man who resembles Ross from Friends the most.... Sied van Riel! I've been checking his FB and Soundcloud a lot, to see if there's new music from the man, but it's been very quiet. I hope he's OK. A few years ago, when I discovered him, I knew it was going to be special. I purchased all of his albums, and listened to many of his mixes. I am a SvR fan, and so should you be, if you aren't already. I've never been to a ASOT event, but they always have the finest DJs playing. And this 600th edition seems to had a big line-up too. Come on, every line up with Sied van Riel on it becomes big. So when I spotted this on SvR's Soundcloud channel, I had to give it a go. I was craving for a bit of SvR after playing one of his albums earlier this week, and now I've got the time to sit back, relax, and enjoy his ASOT set from Minsk, back in 2013. Sied van Riel & Radion 6 - Radiator Emma Hewitt - Rewind (Mikkas Remix) ID - ID If you are looking for Trance music from a decade ago, you are in luck. As mentioned, this was recorded back in 2013, and it's a damn good set. A lot of bangers (and mash), and it certainly gets you going through the weekend. A nice set to end the weekend with, that's for damn sure. It's a very good set, with a lot of epic tunes. Sied knows exactly which ones to play, and the crowd interaction is great. You can hear them screaming for more, screaming for mercy at the same time. Especially when Sied's own productions are played. Come on, this man is a living legend, a man who knows exactly how to make Trance sound epic, and for me the moment is shows, is when he plays his own song 'Past, Present, Future'. Typical SvR sounding song, and I fucking love it! Big track. The quality of the recording ain't great, but that's not a bad thing. At least you can hear what the people at Minsk were experiencing. An hour and a half flew by, and I really had a blast. BBQ is going to be on in an hour or two, and I will for sure play this. Can't imagine a better set to listen to. • DJ A.K. - Club Kinetic Classics Vol 4 Mix 02.07.22

Started today with some Oldskool rave anthems and Acid Trance, and now I'm going back in time, again to the 90s, but this time it's a different kind of Hardcore. Hardcore I know as Happy Hardcore, which the UK embraced from the early 90s, and made it their own. But it wasn't just the Brits making it their own, but also the Dutch, Italians, Germans, etc. It was a pan-European style of Hardcore, and to me a very important style. Some hate it, some love it, but even if you disagree with the music, it was important for the raving community during the 90s. But not just the music was important, it was also the events that took place, and the locations they were held at. One of those clubs was Kinetic. Club Kinetic started back in 1992, and had their last event back in 1998. They did make a return in the 2000nd, but the 90s, those were the years people talk about the most. Especially DJs like DJ Brisk, Stu Allan, Vibes, and more. But it's mainly those that raved at Kinetic who talk fondly about it. I've never been, unfortunately, but I can imagine how cool it must have been. DJ A.K. had already uploaded a few mixes focussed on this legendary club, and this fourth instalment is focussed on the cheesier side of Hardcore, the style we call Happy Hardcore. Me being Dutch, I fully embraced the style in the 90s, and even in the 20s I'm still in love with it, and sometimes even prefer it over anything else. And this mix contains a few of the big anthems. You'll know them all, once you look at the tracklist. They are big, very big!! Hearing this during the 90s meant you were going to have a great time. Yes, A.K. also played a few very cheesy anthems, but that's just part of the deal. A cheese mix cannot have only 'normal' cheese, but also some so bad, it becomes the opposite within a second. 'I Wanna Be A Hippy' is one of those records. Hate it or love it, you will embrace it for what it was and is: a timeless classic. And suitable in this mix. Time for you to go back in time, and be young again (unless you were old already in the 90s)... DJ Vibes & Wishdokta - Rave Is A Mystery DJ Vibes & Wishdokta - Motorway Madness Tiny Tot - Discoland (Giorgio Prezioso Remix) Brothers In Law - Happy Motherfucker DJ Paul Elstak - Do Not Go In There Q-Bass - Hardcore Friday DJ Paul Elstak - Pump This Party Dance Overdose - Overdose Kinetic Pleasure - Higher External - Circles (Hardcore Edit) Hixxy & Sunset Regime - Peoples Party (Remix) Tokyo Ghetto Pussy - I Kiss Your Lips (Music For The Girlies Extended Mix) Love Child - All Out Of Love (DJ Weirdo & DJ Sim Remix) Forbes & Cyclone - Full Force DJ Hixxy & MC Sharkey - Toy Town ('Noddy & Bigears' Mix) Billy 'Daniel' Bunter & D-Zyne - Ride Like The Wind Brisk - Airhead DJ Chewy - Rock This Place DJ Paul Elstak - Boom Boom Who Human Resource - Fuck Them (Undercover Anarchist Remix) Sandman - Can Can Chaos Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - Fantasy World (Hardcore Mix) Scooter - Move Your Ass! Knightvision - Who Is It Predator - Mind Of A Lunatic Predator vs Wedlock - Get On Down Technohead - I Wanna Be A Hippy (Original Mix) Yes, yes, 1000 times yes. This is what I want to hear right now. So happy and cheerful, you cannot deny its importance in the Hardcore scene. Yes, some are fucking cheesy, but that was just part of the package, part of the deal. But A.K.s selection is really great, and it's cool to hear these songs again, after so many years. Obviously you hear the Paul Elstak, the Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo, Technohead, everywhere, but it's also about those that people have forgotten about. Or never even heard of. There are a few in here which I've not heard before, be it the original version or even the remixed version. For example Human Resource's 'Fuck Them'. Of course I know the original, but not the remix... every day you learn and hear new things. I was a huge Happy Hardcore fan, and even liked Scooter's big hit 'Move Your Ass!' when it came out around 1995 (I think). And of course Charly & Theo, Paul, but even though they made memorable songs, it's 'Forbes & Cyclone's track that resembles Happy Hardcore at its most pinnacle moment. That, to me, is the most Happy Hardcore track out there. But boy, 'Can Can Chaos', 'Toytown', they are certainly not my favourite records. I do understand they were big in the clubs, but if they would be played and I was clubbing/raving, that would be my moment of visiting the toilets or the bar. All in all a great set. Never been to Kinetic, but if they played this kind of music, it would have been right up my alley. The right music. Why was I born in NL and in 1983, and not in the UK and before 1983? It would have been epic. DJ: A.K. • DJ Jedi Live @ Calling The Hardcore Brighton July 2022

Calling The Hardcore. Interesting concept. And no, it's not the Dutch kind of Hardcore. It's the old UK sounding Hardcore. More likely to be Breakbeat focussed, and a lot of piano bits and bobs. Only recently did I review another mix by DJ Jedi, and it was interesting, to say the least. It got me hyped up more for Breakbeat Hardcore, and when I found this set on Soundcloud, you know I had to save it, and come back to it as soon as time permits. Today is the day I've got some spare time, hence why you are reading this, and you are about to listen to a wicked Hardcore set. You know a set is going to be big, if the first song has got a saxophone and piano bits at the start. It literally set the tone for the rest of the mix. We go back in time, and DJ Jedi is taking us on a journey. No bullshit, no time to waste. He goes straight in, and it's a pleasant journey from the start. You immediately feel young again (unless you were already old in the 90s), and words like 'illegal' , 'warehouse', 'underground', 'rave' , 'Hardcore', etc, appear in your head. Oh, the old days... I was only a nipper when Hardcore became big, so I'm not up to speed. Well, what I'm trying to say is, I know a lot of songs, but there's still a lot of anthems out there I'm not familiar with. Hence why I like to jump the bandwagon, and listen to every 'oldschool' mix. I just need to know and experience the music from the glorious 90s. And sometimes you do hear something new and exciting, and this was one of those sets that contained a few unknowns to me, and I immediately fell in love with them. Therefore I had to share it with you all, and it also came with a tracklist, which makes it even better! So, without further ado, here's the list: Head Factor - Nuff Respect Timebase - Unity (Ragga Mix) Scott & Keith - This Is Deranged Doc Scott - Surgery (Remix) The Turk - The Lover The System - Get The Music PP Orange - My Feelings (Rhythm Mix) Stu J - Bodyrock Freezone - Feel Free Humanizer - So Many Ways (Bongo Mix) A-Sides - News Flash DJ Jedi - Can't Stop The Feeling Terrorize - Only Your Love (Tuff Beat Mix) Cosmo & Dibs - Bodywork Mine & The Rhythm - Break 3 Tike & Krimson - Reggae Reaction Audio Assault - Party Time Bubbles - We Can Ride The Boogie Force Mass Motion - Annihilating DJ Jedi - Jedi On E's (Side B) Krispy Krouton - Can You Feel The Sunshine A fantastic mix. DJ Jedi has done it again. And it also has a few of his own productions in here. But if you are in it for the oldskool vibes, you are in for a treat. There's one track in here so damn hard and rough, it's going to blow your speakers (and your mind, if you aren't careful). When the mix hits the 7 minute mark, it becomes dark and edgy, and it's at that specific moment 'This Is Deranged' is played. My sweet Baby Jesus, what a monster of a track!!! Yes, this is what I feel is the pinnacle of Hardcore. It's got everything you need in one track. And when it goes in 'reverse', that's when my mind blew into a billion pieces. Fucking hell, what a monster anthem. Give this track more exposure, this is certainly a ridiculously insane track that needs to be played everywhere, at any given time. Fucking hell... RAVE ANTHEM ALERT! I've been listening to this set over and over, and it's certainly an epic one. Not feeling the MJ song, 'We Can Ride The Boogie', but maybe after a few drinks I might just like it. But don't ruin a classic... All jokes aside, a wicked set. An hour of DJ Jedi and the finest records he found. If you were at 'Calling The Hardcore' and you witnessed his set, you must have been a great night out. I wasn't there, but just listening to this set puts a smile on my face. Big big mix. • Trancing With Acid June 22

Acid Trance. Now that's something I like. Not just the fact that it's Trance, which is already epic, but more Acid-y. Music I don't hear very often. And it's music that is still appreciated a lot around the world. So when I saw this mix the other day, I had to jump on it. And thankfully it came with a tracklist, so that's another added bonus. Acid Trance AND a tracklist? It's like Christmas has come early this year. Oh, and it's also downloadable, so not only has Santa arrived, he left us a present too. Unless you are old enough to NOT believe in Santa... As much as I love Acid Trance, I'm not a connoisseur. I know a few tracks and a few artists, but that's it. I'm more of a person who appreciates it, but hasn't spent a lot of time investigating the style. I should, but I simply haven't. If you are the same type of person, it is like the blind leading the blind. But maybe I shouldn't be leading, and it should be the music leading you on a journey into the wonderful world of Acid Trance. The DJ in question who made this mix is also unknown to me: Jase Fase. So instead of giving you more useless bits of information, shall we instead just focus on the mix and the tracks used? Maybe that's a better idea, because my rambling does not contribute to anything at the moment. So, the tracklist, here it is: Cores - Oxygen Emmanuel Top - Acidphase Remote - The Spirit Kenji Oguri - Cybertech Ludo - Time Kai Tracid - Trance & Acid Shredda - Chainsaw DJ Dean - Bad House Music Mike Nero - Hardcore Feelings Aponauth - Warpath Ludo - Transfixed Dizmaster - Acid Blade A short but sweet looking tracklist. I think. Only know 20% of the artists, but yeah, I think it does look good. What do you think? To me this sounds like the music released back in the early 2000s. I could be completely wrong and out of touch, but it feels like it. This Acid sounding Trance music was so big back then, I remember buying a lot of compilation containing this kind of music. I think the most Acidic sounding Trance could be found on Bitte Ein Beat, right? Or am I talking nonsense again? Again, I don't know much about the style or the DJ who made this, but I really liked the outcome. The hour has flown by, an it's been a pleasant journey. When I saw the title of this mix, I jumped straight on it, and I knew instantly that this was the right mix for me. Yes, it's got some small mixing errors, but nothing to write home about. A good hour of Acid Trance to get you through the weekend. Who doesn't like that? Best track? Kai Tracid's 'Trance & Acid'. Classic Trance anthem. Really love it! • 50 Shades Of Headhunterz | Hardstyle Set (2015)

I had a nightmare yesterday, and it wasn't a pleasant one. I know, a weird way to start a review with, but hear me out: I dreamed that I lived in a world without Headhunterz. Yes, that's fucking weird, right? I cannot tell you the reason behind this dream, but what it gave me, was anxiety, and a sudden urge to find something made by Headhunterz. In this case it was a mix full of Headhunterz records, and when I say full, I do mean full. 3 hours of Headhunterz madness, and that's exactly what I wanted to hear, to turn the nightmare into a dream that just never happened, or would never happen at all! I've been a fan for many years, and I always enjoyed his productions. They've always been more euphoric, more melodic, and more chirpier compared to other artists. His music spoke to me, and made me a happier bunny. I am not a person to become an obsessive fan, knowing the artist fully (don't even know his real name), I am more focused on the music. And his music is great. Not every track, don't get me wrong, but the majority of his records are ace. And this mix has got the big records in them. Can't believe I only discovered this mix just now, and not when it was released. But at least I found it. And it was yesterday when it happened, and during my working hours in the office I had this mix on repeat, and even on the way home I had this on loud. If you were on the M25 near the Dartford tunnel between 4-5 and you saw a car's rear window bouncing and heard obnoxious music, that was me. I had to listen to this at max volume. And it did something no other mix had done before... I've got the best spec-ed vehicle, and it's got the nice JBL sound system. And this mix and all the tracks in it, they just made the system work hard. The result? The car trembling. I could feel the bass coming through the seat frame, and I fucking loved it. It's like this is the perfect mix for driving. Not just on the M25, but anywhere, at any given time. Loved the journey home, not just because of the experience, but because of the music! Great mix by Masona. You want to know the songs used for this 3 hour long mix? Well, here they are: Headhunterz - Psychedelic (Monochromatic Edit Qlimax) Blutonium Boy - Make It Loud (Headhunterz Remix) Chuckie - Let The Bass Kick (Headhunterz Remix) Project One - Rate Reducer (Headhunterz Remix) Builder - Her Voice (Headhunterz Remix) Headhunterz - Scrap Attack (Defqon.1 2009 Anthem) Hardwell - Spaceman (Headhunterz Remix) Headhunterz - Hard With Style Headhunterz vs Wildstylez - Blame It On The Music Headhunterz - Muzical Revolution Project One - The Story Unfolds Headhunterz & Noisecontrollers - The Space We Created Headhunterz - Subsonic Headhunterz - Hate It Or Love It (Live Edit) Zedd - Clarity (Headhunterz Remix) Headhunterz & Brennan Heart - The MF Point Of Perfection Headhunterz & Wildstylez feat Vilain - Stuck In Ur Head Brennan Heart - We Are Possessed (Headhunterz Remix) Chuckie & Gregor Salto - What Happens In Vegas (Headhunterz Remix) Headhunterz - Dreamcatcher Project One - The World Is Yours Project One - Life Beyond Earth Project One - Halfway There Project One - Fantasy Or Reality Headhunterz vs Wildstylez - Project 1 Headhunterz - Rock Civilization Headhunterz - Dragonborn Noisecontrollers - Shreek (Headhunterz Remix) Headhunterz - A New Day Headhunterz - Woznotwoz Zedd - Spectrum (Headhunterz Remix) Headhunterz feat Malukah - Reignite Proppy & Heady - Summer Of Hardstyle Headhunterz - Emptiness Headhunterz - Megasound Headhunterz - Save Your Scrap For VIctory (Defqon.1 Australia Anthem 2010) Headhunterz - The Fear Of Darkness Headhunterz feat Miss Palmer - Now Is The Time Kaskade feat Neon Trees - Lessons In Love (Headhunterz Remix) Headhunterz - Headshot Headhunterz - Eternalize (HardBass 2012 Anthem) Headhunterz - From Within Headhunterz & Wildstylez & Noisecontrollers - World Of Madness Project One - Art Of Creation Headhunterz & Wildstylez vs Noisecontrollers - Tonight Headhunterz - Reloaded Part 2 Headhunterz - Doomed (Bla Bla Edit) Headhunterz & Zatox feat Nikkita - The Perfect Weapon Headhunterz - The Power Of The Mind (Live Edit) Project One - The Zero Hour This tracklist is just sublime! It's absolute gorgeous to the point whereby I can't contain myself, and want to play it out loud right NOW, but I can't, as I am WFH, and this residential area has people living in it who don't appreciate good music. They don't like music to be blasting through their walls. Shitty neighbours... meh. Anyway, the mix. It's 3 hours long, and it contains songs by Headhunterz, him on his own, or as part of a collaboration, or tracks remixed by him. So a nice mixture of anything and everything Headhunterz. And I'm loving it. So many great anthems. Some even forgotten about. Those are the ones I really love. But the ones I seem to love the most, are the remixes. Yes, he's made some anthems on his own or part of a collab, but it's the remixes he did for Zedd and Kaskade that still get me moving the most. Those are my three favourites of this mix. No joke though, they are bangers, and you can play them at any event in 2022, and the crowd will loose themselves. Or even in 2055! Yes, Hardstyle will still be alive and kicking 30 years in the future. I really love this mix, and I'm not the only one. This mix has got so much positive feedback and plays, and it's also downloadable. So instead of you sulking of not having the right music to get you through today, why not press play/download this right now, and get the energy boost, one that will certainly get you through today. We all love a bit of Headhunterz. Hate it or love it, you still cannot deny his impact on the scene. Thanks Masona for making my Friday special. • Decibel Outdoor 2022 | Warm-up Mixes

I've not been online for the last 10 days, because I was on holiday. Or I was at work, at HQ. But reviewing was put aside for a bit, as the Summer is in full effect, and had other priorities. But now I'm back, not just with one mix, but with several. At the time of typing this review, there are 6 mixes, but there could be more. Not sure if there will be more than 6, but if there are to be more, well, at least you know why I only mention the number 6. B2S has got a few 'warm up' mixes, for everyone getting excited to go to Decibel, which is held on the 19th, 20th, and 21st of August of this year. Not that we need any 'warming' up, as it was 41 degrees Celsius yesterday.... Decibel 2022 is going to look great. The line-up is (as always) humongous, and hopefully the weather will be good (not too bloody warm though, don't want to get a sunburn when raving). And to increase peoples excitement, a few of the artists have made a warm up mix. And it's a nice mixture of what you can expect at Decibel. The mixes were made by the following artists: Bass Chaserz, Promo, Deadly Guns, Gizmo, AniMe, and Cryex. Enough reasons to get hyped up for Decibel Outdoors, right? This event has been on my bucket list for many years. Sadly never been, but always wanted to. Now I'm getting older, I do find less time to go raving. Work commitments, right? And being married changes things too. But I am not to get rid of my bucket list: maybe one day I be raving at a Decibel. Couldn't give a shit if I'm 80 and still raving. I will be taken off my list when I've visited it. So, without further ado, let's dive straight into these mixes. And yes, each has a tracklist, so I'll be typing my ass off right now. But it's all worth it. Each mix, so I'll be doing this for the next 10 minutes.... but here it goes: Bass Chaserz Mix: Bass Chaserz & Darkraver feat Eelco - In Mijn Bloed D-Block & S-tepack - Rise And Fly Ricardo Moreno - Blending Tape #2 The Opposites - Licht Uit (Coone Remix) Kriss Kross Amsterdam - Vluchtstrook (Bass Chaserz Edit) Het Feestteam - Malle Babbe (Bass Chaserz Remix) Ransom - The Countdown Zombic, Danimal, Influencerz - Be My Lover (Bass Chaserz Remix) Outsiders & Bass Chaserz feat Anita Doth - Popcorn Marshmello feat Khalid - Silence (Sub Sonik Remix) Freqliner - Allright Spacer (Bass Chaserz Mash-up) Frequencerz & Bass Chaserz - Renegades Shadowprophet & DeeFace - Happy 1,2 Stampen 5.0 Bass Chaserz feat Last Word - Hero's Journey Bass Chaserz - Big Dick (Spuit Me Vol Remix Crude Intentions) Dr. Rude feat Ratkid - Self Esteem Promo Mix: Jones & Stephenson - The First Rebirth (Promo Remix) Promo - Emotions Over Anger Promo - Vicious Circle Bodylotion - How Much Can You Take (Catscan Remix) Promo - King Of Pain G-Town Madness & The Viper - Buck 'em Down Promo - Among The Best Endymion - Payback G-Shock - Demons (Promo Remix) Ophidian & Nosferatu - Psychiatric Ass Ophidian - Butterfly Promo - Serious Damage Tha Playah - Walking The Line Catscan - Capture In Distress Promo & Alex B - Bij Gebrek Aan Beter Neophyte & Tha Playah - Still Nr.1 Tommyknocker - Domination Deadly Guns Mix: Deadly Guns - We Always Rise Dither - Beat My Drum Deadly Guns - The Illest Days (Thunderdome Tribute) Deadly Guns - From The Underground Deadly Guns & E-Force feat Carola & Livid - Inflict The Pain Deadly Guns x D-Fence - Battle Tonight Angerfist - Bad Attitude (Deadly Guns Remix) Elite Enemy - Never Change N-Vitral & Deadly Guns - Smells Like Teen Spirit Trespassed feat MC Robs - Terrified Deadly Guns - The Black Reaper E-Force & Deadly Guns feat Carola - Aerials Deadly Guns & Dither - Sick In The Head Elite Enemy - Won't Sleep Deadly Guns - Get Dissed Killshot & Deadly Guns - Loca Deadly Guns - Fake Shit Deadly Guns & N-Vitral - Burn MF Deadly Guns - Killer Heart N-Vitral presents Bombsquad & Spitnoise - Death Blow D-Fence & DRS & Mr. Hyde - Bass Till I Die Gizmo Mix: DJ Da Rick - Attention DJ Gizmo - Claustrofobie (Hall Of States Mix) DJ Yves meets Chaps & Rolay - Devils Fiction D-Devils - The 6th Gate Zenith vs Avex - I'm Your Deejay (Attack Mix) Private Productions - Looped (P.P.'s Private '97 Specimen) Immaginazione 2 - La Musica Del Futuro (Techno Version) Tellurians - The Navigator Armani & Ghost - Airport Zombie Nation - Kernkraft 400 (DJ Gius Remix) Mike Dunn - Magic Feet (DJ Francois 2012 Edit) DJ Youri - Fuck On Cocaine DJ Massive vs The Rebel - Like This Marc Acardipane vs The Prophet - Stereo Killa (Prophet Mix) Rattlebrain - Razzle Dazzle Trax Pavo & Zany - Sex Gizmo & Rude Noize - Universe Mashup 001 Cryex Mix: Hard Driver - Embrace The Physical D-Sturb - Party At My Place (Vertile Remix) Apex - Combining Forces (2022 Edit) Frequencerz - Brave The Storm (Radianze Remix) Cryex - Falling Up Aversion - Renegades Cryex - Madness Saga (Mashup) Hard Driver & Rebelion - Earthquake Scarra - Underground Energy Bloodlust - Freefall Adaro & Crypsis - Legs In The Air (Cryex Remix) Imperatorz & Livid - Fanatics Vasto & Scarra - Drop It Mish - I Go Hard Warface - Worst Nightmare Vasto & Scarra & Cryex - Bassline Madness Rebelion - The Funkie Junkie Sickmode & Rooler - Clubbanger Scarra & Vasto - Bassline Detonators AniMe Mix: Mad Dog - You Don't Belong Broken Minds - Bomb Bass Boom Delius - Levitate Through Sound Angerfist - The Other Side Tears Of Fury - Violence Sickmode & Rooler - Too Cold AniMe - No Matter AniMe - Fight AniMe & Dave Revan - The Third Invasion (2022 Refix) Miss K8 - The Last Spartan Mad Dog - What Is Hardcore Miss K8 & AniMe - Legacy Bloodfire - Pain AniMe - Somebody Scream Mad Dog & AniMe - Hardcore Machine (Edit) AniMe - Playing Terror (Tears Of Fury Remix) AniMe - Bam Bam (F.Noize Remix) AniMe - Fine Night 6 tracklists, made by the big names in the industry. Basically, there's a mix for everyone here. Unless you aren't a fan of the harder styles. If that's the case, why are you even reading this? Hours of fun. That's what you get. And I've really enjoyed most mixes and most tracks. Not all of them, if I'm brutally honest. But it still made me hate the fact that I'm missing out on Decibel this year.. The mixes are good. Some are better than the others, but that's just a personal preference. My top three would be Promo, Gizmo, and AniMe. My least favourite mix was the one by Bass Chaserz. I know it's in the style of Pussylounge, but it's too cringe for me. Maybe with a few beverages down my throat I might like it, but I would not listen to this when I'm sober. Maybe a bit too harsh, but this is just not for me. The mixes themselves are a mixture of everything. Old, new, Uptempo, Hardstyle, Millennium, and more. So you will certainly be pleased to find a mix suitable for you. And again, at this stage there are only 6 mixes, it could always be more and more. So for now I can only judge the 6 made. They are very nice, and hope these tunes are played at Decibel. But I don't need to 'hope', I know for sure they will. And the ravers will have a blast! Rave hard, and rave safe! • GECK-O Classics Showcase Vol.2 (10.07.2022)

It's Monday today, and it's going to be very hot today. And I'm working from home, in an environment without air-conditioning. And I'm sweltering. I am not a huge fan of the heat, especially when you have to work in the one room that traps the heat extremely well, and it basically turn the room into one massive sauna. I was hoping for something cool today, something that could lower my body temperature a lot, but sadly that's not the case. It is a cool mix, but it's going to increase my temperature even more. Thank you Audioholik for doing that. But he's made a very excellent mix. It might increase the temperature of your body, mind and soul, but today I will accept it. It's a splendid mix that will give you enough energy to remain perky for the rest of the week. A Geck-O mix, who doesn't want to start their Monday with a mix like this one, eh? Full of early Hardstyle anthems by the legendary Geck-O. I've only got introduced not so long ago to Geck-O. I always thought it was a Jumpstyle artist, but I was wrong. I'm not familiar with his back story fully, so if you know, please share. But what I do know is that his productions are ace (the tracks I've heard so far, probably got a lot of tracks to discover still). But Audioholik kindly gave us nearly 90 minutes of Geck-O, and it turned out to be a full on madness mix. One that will certainly get you going, and it will create a craving for the early Hardstyle sound which is sorely missed at the moment. So, are you ready to see and hear what Audioholik made for us? An early Hardstyle mix full of Geck-O. Are you going to ignore this mix? How dare you?! Gatty - As It Appeared (Geck-O Remix) Geck-O - It Never Sleeps Geck-O - Don't You Lose It (Wooze Mix) Geck-E - Think Big (Geck-O Remix) Noizy Boy - Man Made Drug (Geck-O Remix) Freqs vs N3ck & Deception - Hallucinating (Geck-O Remix) Geck-O - How Low Can You Go Geck-O - Sticky Disco (Backstreet Banana Mix) Phrantic - Freestyle (Geck-O Oldskool Remix) Geck-O - To The Core Thera vs Geck-O - Hel Help (Geck-O Mix) Geck-O - Broken Glass Geck-O - I eat Woofers Toxic - Root Down (Geck-O's Old Skool Remix) Geck-O - Torture Geck-O - All Night Geck-O - Alliance Geck-O - Suck The Speakers (Geck-O Edit) Geck-O - Technoir The Machine - Self Esteem Fund (Geck-O Remix) You have to listen to this mix to believe how great it is. Audioholik's mix is a dope one. but that is to be expected. And there's one track that literally blew my mind into a billion pieces. A true Hardstyle classic, and at the moment one of my most favourite tracks ever! And that's a statement and a half, isn't it? OK. Let's talk about that track. 'Hallucinating' is such a monster hit! Can't believe I've not heard this one before, and I question myself why I haven't. This is one you would want to hear when dancing the night away. Proper oldskool vibes. Hands in the air, stomping your feet, and leaving the world behind. Euphoric as it can be! But that's not the only track in this mix. Audioholik has picked 20 of Geck-O's finest tracks, and it's a solid mix that came out of it. A very delightful and intoxicating mix. I know the tracks were made by Geck-O, but we've got to give Audioholik some credit for making this excellent mix (yet another one!). If you are into the early Hardstyle sound, and want to increase your body temperature, jump on this right now! And it's also a free download, so another added bonus. Thanks Audioholik! • 1 More Mix 002 - gladde paling (2022)

It's Friday, and you can certainly tell. This review might be a tad weird, but the mix you are about to listen to, does not make any sense. Especially when you are not familiar with the Dutch language of their sense of humour. Or there lack off, depending on your views. But this has to be one of the weirdest mixes of 2022 so far, and the year has still got a few months left. Could this also be one of the weirdest and quirkiest mixes ever made? It's certainly a contender for that title. And the mix in question is made by gladde paling. Translated into English it's sleek eel. This mix contains Drum & Bass, but not just that, but oh so much more. It starts off with the Dutch national anthem (het Wilhemus), going into Drum & Bass, but throughout this mix you jump from one thing to the next. This is literally a rollercoaster ride I wasn't not expecting. This mix is basically one big ass meme. What gladde paling has done, is add a shit ton of humour to his records. Which mostly are Drum & Bass records, but they could be so much more. So for this website '1 More Thing', he made a mix. Which contains only his records, and a lot of weird noises and sounds, or weird words, or just things normal for Dutch people. And a lot of songs that would normally make no sense, but it seems to work. And the names of these songs is another epic thing I have to give the artist credit for. It makes no freaking sense, but I'm loving it. I am Dutch, and I try to understand, but what happens instead is that I'm sitting here, laughing my ass off. Crying of laughter. And most mixes I review are serious enough, and sometimes you just need to laugh. And that's certainly what gladde paling does. I'm digging this mix a lot. Reminds me of the Netherlands. And also a bit of the meme culture, which I do miss a lot. And it's also nice to hear Drum & Bass from the Netherlands, and it being slightly different to your standard DnB. All in all, a very entertaining mix. gladde paling – wilhelmus 2022 intro gladde paling – een vliegtuig gladde paling & vieze vaatdoek – jetzt geht’s los gladde paling – brutale aap gladde paling & brokko piloot – fissa x 13 gladde paling – eekhoorn gladde paling – een vis gladde paling – bluetooth baslijn gladde paling – intermezzo gladde paling – hap slik weg gladde paling & UH! – lalala gladde paling – mijn superheld gladde paling – innerlijke kracht gladde paling & brokko piloot – wastedd gladde paling – overstroming gladde paling – oei gladde paling & vieze asbak – draaiorgel gladde paling – big paling sound ame bibabi – chin up high (gladde paling dnb mix) vieze asbak & dikke baap – WHATEVER (gladde paling remix) gladde paling – supermarkt baslijn gladde paling – dodelijke 5G paling gladde paling & vieze vaatdoek – nieuwe tune gladde paling – fiësta-modus (insta special) gladde paling – sprinter/intercity gladde paling & hYn – broccoli beat gladde paling – miel monteur (150 mix) gladde paling – lekker dansen gladde paling – 2 violen (1 jaar gp) The tracklist was taken from the website. But if you are Dutch or familiar with the Dutch language, you can clearly see in an instant that this tracklist is weird as fuck. Artists are called gladde paling, vieze vaatdoek (dirty tea towel) , brokko piloot, vieze asbak (dirty ashtray) etc. And the titles are just fucking weird. But, as weird as it is, I fucking LOVE IT. During the mix there's many moments where the music takes over and destroys your speakers, and it might have some meme influenced sound bits, but it can be hard when needed. So this combination of fun and cool music works for me. It brings a smile on my face, and I haven't stopped listening to this mix since I saw this on Soundcloud. If you are not Dutch, the meaning behind these songs might be lost on you, or even the humour. The only thing I can advice you is to listen to this, and have a laugh. Still enjoy the music though, but you can smile from ear to ear when you are. There are a few quirky songs in here I like a lot, and I just can't name them all, because they are ALL 29 RECORDS. They are all epic. 'eekhoorn' is fucking hard, 'broccoli beat' an epic one, 'sprinter/innercity' nostalgic. A mix I wasn't ready for, but glad I found. This has made my weekend, and the weekend hasn't even officially started. But in my head I'm already there. gladde paling, you are legendary! • #2 The Beukage You're Looking For (2020)

Beukage. Not a word you hear very often. Or even ever. It's a weird Dutch 'word'. But even though it doesn't make any sense, I do know what it means (I think). In short, it just means 'hard tracks'. As in, they are hard as nails. Imagine a lot of BPMs, sick bass and beats. And when required, filled with melodies. But that's not always needed. Sometimes you just need something filthy, hard, and rough. Melodies? Who needs those? But in this mix the melody plays a huge part, so we'll leave that in. This mix has flown under the radar on Soundcloud, and only has a few plays, but by looking at the tracklist there's no reason to why it hasn't got more plays. The tracklist looks good, and has got some heavy hitters. And all tracks are Millennium Hardcore anthems, so no real reason as to why the plays are not higher than expected. Maybe people are getting fed up? Or maybe it's not promoted? Don't know. I remain a Millennium Hardcore fanatic, so I will move out of my way to find stuff on Soundcloud, hence why I saw this mix and thought it would be a good one to share with everyone. Don't know a single thing about the DJ in question (Reminisce), so let's go straight to the tracklist: Dione - The Way Is Shut (Remastered) Ophidian - Butterfly Amnesys - Worldwide Crisis Masters Of Ceremony - Rocking With The Best Art Of Fighters & Tommyknocker - Follow Me Angels Of Darkness - Cold As Ice (Tha Playah Remix) Tommyknocker - Domination Evil Activities & The Viper - Raw To The Floor Tha Playah & Nosferatu - Requiem Of The Fallen Amnesys - I Justified Tha Playah - Hit 'Em (Evil Activities & The Viper Remix) Tommyknocker - Crunk Dune - Hardcore Vibes (The Viper's Mashup) Kasparov - Pessa Pessa Hooligan Mash-up Nosferatu - Bloodlust Mad Dog & Tommyknocker - DJ Tool 1 Masters Of Ceremony - Dirt Tommyknocker - Demolition (Evil Activities & Lenny Dee Remix) The tracklist looks good, and the tracks are solid. A good selection that will certainly keep the energy level way up high. There's a stinker in here that gives me no energy whatsoever, but we will talk about that one in a minute. Nah, let's talk about it now. Kasparov's song isn't my cup of tea. Horrible track. Now we've got that out of the way, let's talk about the 17 other tracks. Solid as a rock, and still my favourite songs from around 2000. Or in that decade. Reminisce has selected a very good selection of tracks. No question about that. Kasparov's song is debatable, but hey ho, can't get them all right all the time?! The mix isn't flawless. It's enjoyable, but still got a few tiny mixing errors/fading errors. If you just want no nonsense Hardcore, go ahead and check this mix out. Let the BPMs come at you through your speakers. It's not the best Millennium mix out there, but still enjoyable. • Hard Dance Heroes - Squad-E Tribute (2021)

A couple of weeks ago I reviewed the Squad-E album, and now a new mix has emerged on my Soundcloud timeline. Another appreciation/dedication mix to the late and great producer/DJ Squad-E. I don't need to remind everyone what has happened, but if you have lived in a cave for over a year, sadly Squad-E passed away last year. Many have shown their respects to this legendary DJ, producer, and to many a close friend. And it's a shame to talk about this mix in this specific way, that it's a in memoriam mix, but at least we can honour what Squad-E left behind: a legacy that will outlive us all! The mix I found was made by Macca, uploaded last year, and contains the 'harder' tracks by Squad-E. He wasn't only active in the UK Hardcore scene, as most of us know, but let's talk about his UK Hardcore music. The music I fell in love with during the early 2000s, and Squad-E was also one of those producers who I instantaneously fell in love with. You couldn't find a compilation without a Squad-E record on it back then. Or even go to a gig where he didn't play. I remember listening to the old 'tapes' and hearing a few of his songs, and I knew that this was someone special. He knew exactly what the raving crew needed, and his sound just appealed a lot to me, and many others. And in this mix only a handful of tracks were selected, but they were gorgeous. Timeless classics, and certain dancefloor hits. Hearing this mix takes me back to the 2000s when Squad-E was everywhere. And when UK Hardcore was at its peak. Fight me in the comments, but if I had to choose, I would choose Millennium UK Hardcore over the present day. It's all about the vibes, and the vibes were great back then. And maybe it's nostalgia: it's when I fell in love with UK Hardcore. Let's see which tracks Macca used for this appreciation mix... Master Blaster - Everywhere (Squad-E Remix) Agnes - Release Me (Squad-E Remix) Jorg Schmid vs Hypasonic - Doesn't Matter (Squad-E Remix) Styles & Breeze - You're Shining (Squad-E Remix) Ultrabeat - I Wanna Touch You (Squad-E Remix) System F - Cry (Re-Con & Squad-E Remix) Velvet - Fix Me (Squad-E Remix) Squad-E - Turn It Up Re-Con & Squad-E - Claim 2 Recycle Killa Deejays - Lucky Star (Squad-E Remix) Re-Con & Squad-E - 1000 Kisses Eclipse - 24/7 (Squad-E Remix) Squad-E - Stay These are great! Obviously all of these are known to the raving masses, but some I haven't heard in a very long time. It's been a while, but it's good to hear them again. It's like being embraced by something very comfortable.. Macca has selected 13 great anthems. We all know and love them, and they've been played in many clubs and at many events all over the UK, and even the globe. But which record gets me the most, and has the most memories to me? Well, it's 'Doesn't Matter'. This literally is a trip down memory lane for me, and it's the one track in this mix with the most nostalgia factor. This literally was my jam when it was released back in the early 2000s, and still remains one of my favourite songs of that era. A great mix, and I know you will love it too. I won't talk/write any more, the only thing you should do is just embrace this mix, and embrace the legacy left behind by the man we all know as Squad-E. Let's start the day well, and start listening to this wonderful mix. Rest in peace, Squad-E! • Millennium Hardcore Mix (2020)

Jason Payne. Isn't he the one who does a lot of Rawstyle stuff? Well, clearly it's not the only thing he does. Back in 2020 he did a livestream due to COVID-19 (like the rest of the DJ community), and his set was focussed on Millennium Hardcore. A man with an open eye to more styles than just one. It's great to hear people playing something different compared to their usual style. And this Millennium Hardcore mix is just the right mix for today. A dull and dreary Saturday. We need that bit of oomph just to keep us going.... And Jason has got your back! During the lockdown period the whole world went online and we saw a lot of livestreams, and sadly I missed this one. And most of the livestreams if I'm being honest. But thankfully Soundcloud has come to the rescue, be it 2 years too late. No worries though, this mix won't disappear from Soundcloud, as it's reviewed extremely well, and has reached 15.4k+ so far. Let's crank up the numbers, and spread the Millennium Hardcore love, eh? This mix didn't come with a tracklist, but Hansolo on Soundcloud was so generous to compose one, so we all know which Millennium Hardcore anthems Jason Payne selected for this mix. And yes, they are the most well known songs, but who is complaining? Who doesn't want to hear these 27 excellent tunes? As weird as it might seem, and we've heard them a billion times, they still bring huge smiles on people's faces, all over the globe. It has become timeless music, that's for sure. But which songs did Jason use for his set? Well, these: Evil Activities & Endymion feat E-Life - Broken DJ Neophyte vs Tha Playah - Still Nr. 1 Amnesys - Elevation Art Of Fighters - Redemption Endymion - Payback (Tommyknocker's Yes I Am Remix) Art Of Fighters - Artwork (Tha Playah Remix) Tha Playah - Fuck The Titties (The Viper & Tommyknocker Remix) Evil Activities & DJ Panic - Quiet Dedication (Neophyte & Tha Playah Remix) Tommyknocker vs Sunbeam - Twisted World (The Viper Mashup) Ophidian - Butterfly VIP DJ Promo - Phreak Ya Speaka The Stunned Guys & DJ Paul - Thrillseeka Hard Creation - I Will Have That Power (The Stunned Guys Remix) Men Of Steel - The Future Is Ours (DJ Panic & Tha Playah Remix) G-Town Madness & The Viper - Come As One Masters Of Ceremony - Bottoms Up Outblast - Pride & Pain Ophidian & Ruffneck - So Many Sacrifices DJ D - Shock The Future (Hellsystem Remix) Nitrogenetics - Pledge Of Resistance DJ Promo vs Digital Boy - Serious Damage Neophyte - Braincracking G-Shock - Demons (Promo Remix) Denekamps Gespuis - Gas Met Die Zooi (Tha Playah Remix) Menace II Society meets Catscan - Chronic Counter Neophyte & Tha Playah - Great Success Neophyte, Tieum & Rob Gee - Coming At You Strong I can say in all honesty, that Jason's mix contains the records I was desperate to hear. They were the songs I wanted to hear, and I'm glad that I found this mix. There's also another reoccurring theme here, don't know if you've spotted it? Jason seems to love records made by Tha Playah, or have his involvement. So many of Tha Playah can be found in here, but it's all great tracks! I love Millennium Hardcore. More melodic, more hands-in-the-air moments compared to present day Hardcore. Nowadays it's too rough, too hard. We should look back 10-20 years and listen to what was made back then, and bring it back to life. The music was top notch. I remember hearing these at multiple raves, and the crowd would loose themselves. Raving Nightmare in Maastricht was so dope. Hearing Neophyte play the classics, it was my kind of Heaven, and it's like Jason heard my cry for 'help' and made a mix so damn good: it takes me right back to the early 2000s. Only love and appreciation for this mix. He mentioned that he would do a second mix, but it seems that it might appear soon. Can't wait for the second volume. The first one was great! Can't find any flaws. A few small mixing errors, or it could even be recording errors, but nothing to write home about. The message behind this mix is still present and can clearly be heard: Millennium Hardcore will be with us forever and ever, and is timeless music. And to some it might even be the best out there. What's your opinion? 90s, 2000s, or 10/20s Hardcore? And what do you think of this mix? Best record? 'Redemption'. Boy, that track just ticks all the boxes of being an all time classic! • RengDengDeng Contest Mix By Rave System (2016)

It's Friday everyone! Time to get ready for the weekend, and have I got a nice mix for you all!? A mix uploaded 6 years ago, for this DJ contest, to play at the 10th anniversary of Reng Deng Deng. I've never been to a Reng Deng Deng gig, but this one seemed to have a decent line-up, with artists such as Dyprax, D-Passion, Neophyte, Noize Suppressor, Art Of Fighters, Ophidian vs Ruffneck, Tieum, and more. To play among these great DJs is an honour, and it's nice to see that it still happens (well, at least 6 years ago). Don't know if it's still a big thing, DJ contests, but it's great to give a newcomer a stage to perform at. I'm not sure who won, but maybe a quick side story as to why I found this mix: I was listening to a Millennium Hardcore set and heard a Masters Of Ceremony song, and went searching for other sets that included this specific song. And voila, this mix appeared. So even though I'm 6 years late, I'm still on it, and enjoying it... Don't know anything about the artist, so let's focus on this set. It's got some big songs. Some really big dancefloor songs. And even though this set is only 34 minutes long, it packs a punch. And of course it's got that one Masters Of Ceremony song I love. Wish there were more appreciation mixes focussed on Neophyte and MoC, they deserve everything. They made some serious goose bump enticing records. Let's dive straight into the tracklist and see which tracks Rave System used for this contest mix.. Masters Of Ceremony - Rocking With The Best DJ Neophyte vs Tha Playah - Still Nr. 1 Tha Playah - Bling Bling (DJ D vs Nitrogenetics Remix) Furyan & Kasparov - Nightfort Dyprax - The Future (Tha Playah Remix) Angerfist feat Dyprax - Afraid Of Me DJ Mad Dog - Good Old Times The Viper & Nosferatu - Kingdom Come Angerfist feat N-Vitral - The Envy Titan & DV8 Rocks!- Flip Uhm op Zn Kantje (Tha Playah Remix) This is short but sweet. 10 tracks, and obviously starting with a big crowd pleaser. That's the way I would like to see a set start. Good choice to start with MoC, but then the beats, bass, and melodies keep on proceeding. 34 minutes of pure pleasure, that's for sure. This mix hasn't got a lot of plays, but deserves more. Really cool tracks, and even though I found this because of its first record, it's not my favourite in this set. Can you believe it? All this effort, and wouldn't even choose it as my favourite? Well, that's because 'Bling Bling' is in here, which is one of Tha Playah's finest records ever. Fight me in the comments, if you dare. I can keep this review short and sweet, the same as this mix. This is a very good mix, and has made my day. So many great records in here, some sadly underrated. But certainly cool enough to keep me going throughout the day. My energy levels are way up there, and if you want to fly through today and land into the weekend quicker than expected, check out this mix! • It's Ya Birthday Mix (Part 2)

Birthdays nowadays are completely different to when I was young. I got Lego, Matchbox cars, and cassettes. Nowadays people make proper mixes, and in this case Selectabwoy made a mix for his missus, to celebrate her birthday. Wish my missus would make me a proper mix, but sadly she's not gifted behind the decks lol. The only music related thing she ever gave me, was a mix tape. Which wasn't a tape, nor was it a mix. It was a CD with romantic tunes on it. Still cool though, but a mix just sounds cooler, especially when it's filled with excellent Hip Hop and Rap music from my youth. I do love listening to Hip Hop and Rap, and sadly never hear enough. I do listen to certain radio stations, but they always play the same crap over and over again, which frustrates me. Selectabwoy played the well known tunes, which you sadly don't hear on the radio anymore (can't understand why imho). Maybe it's because of swear words (which they can take out), or maybe another reason, but these tunes deserve a bigger stage. Selectabwoy is a legend, and his birthday mix he proves again why he's ace. The tunes he's selected are all fucking epic. Don't know if his missus actually likes them, and that's the reason why played them, or he just made a mix with tunes she might like? No matter the reason behind these tracks, I find it awesome to hear them all together in one big mix. When you've got a moment, why not have a look at the tracklist, and see the wicked tracks he's picked for his missus? Really big tracks, and I'm not exaggerating. Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five - The Birthday Party MC Lyte - Cold Rock A Party (Bad Boy Remix) Mark Ronson feat Ghostface Killah, Nate Dogg & Trife - Ooh Wee (Radio Edit/Instrumental) Main Source - Live At The Barbeque MC Lyte - Ruffneck (Beatnut Clean Mix) Amy Winehouse - You Know I'm Good Pete Rock & CL Smooth - They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.) (Instrumental) Ol' Dirty Bastard feat Kelis - Got Your Money (Acapella) Ol' Dirty Bastard feat Kelis - Got Your Money EPMD - So Wat Cha Sayin' Ice Cube feat Das EFX - Check Yo Self (The Message Remix) Digable Planets - Rebirth Of Slick (Cool Like Dat) Massive Attack - Daydreaming Radiohead - Creep Nas - Halftime Method Man feat Mary J. Blige - I'll Be There For You Mark Morrison - Return Of The Mack Ice Cube - What Can I Do Blackstar - Definition Public Enemy - Give It Up (Instrumental) Nas - Made You Look (Acapella) Portishead - Sour Times Common feat Lily Allen - Drivin' Me Wild Dr. Dre - Let Me Ride The D.O.C. - It's Funky Enough Dr. Dre feat Snoop Dogg - Lil' Ghetto Boy Dr. Dre - Stranded On Death Row Eminem feat Dr. Dre - Guilty Conscience (Radio Extra Clean) Eminem feat Dr. Dre - Guilty Conscience (Acapella) The Notorious B.I.G. - One More Chance (Instrumental) Eve feat Gwen Stefani - Let Me Blow Ya Mind Mr. Scruff - Ug 50 Cent - In Da Club (Acapella) Massive Attack - Lately MC Lyte - I Go On The Isley Brothers - Between The Sheets The Notorious B.I.G. - Big Poppa Jean Grae feat Natural Resource - Bum Deal Eminem - Lose Yourself (Instrumental) Eminem - Lose Yourself The Isley Brothers - Footsteps In The Dark (Loop) Ice Cube - It Was A Good Day Jonwayne feat Scoop DeVille - The Come Up (Part 1 & 2) Portishead - It Could be Sweet Glorious. Amazing looking tracklist. So many great anthems by the greatest. You know a mix is going to be epic when you see Eminem, Ice Cube, Biggie, Dr. Dre, MC Lyte, and more. And Radiohead? Bit of a weird one, but yeah, the way this track has been mixed in, it just works. Hope the missus of Selectabwoy had a nice birthday. With a mix like this one you know for sure she had a nice one. There's no rhyme or reason why he has selected these records (as far as I can tell), but they are all fucking solid. Individually amazing records, but all in one mix just makes them even better. Got nothing negative to mention. A great mix with some great Hip Hop & Rap songs. The best songs are by MC Lyte. Brilliant MC. Brilliant songs. Love them! Get on it right now, and if it's your birthday today or soon, just imagine Selectabwoy making it especially for you! And he's giving this as a free download too! So not just a mix, but also a small present you can take everywhere... unless you are a constant streamer, of course. • Nosferatu Tribute (2022)

A tribute mix. Oh how lovely. And this one is focussed on one of the legends in the Hardcore scene, a true pioneer, and an innovator. You might know him by one of his aliases, the main one: Nosferatu. Only a few months ago I reviewed a set by Nosferatu, one he did back in 2009, and I've saved countless dedication mixes on Soundcloud, and I do remember one that I should have reviewed, but it was so damn long, I think I would have fallen asleep typing it halfway through. This one I only found today is short(-ish) and sweet, so perfect for me. I am a fan of Nosferatu, especially the Millennium sound he created. He gave us so many memorable anthems, which are still highly regarded as top notch songs. Quality over quantity, that's for sure. Whenever he did release a song, you knew for sure that it was going to be a banger. He took his time to make each song work, and they all worked extremely well. And maybe that's why the Finnishing Dutch decided to do a dedication mix? Yes, it's the Finnishing Dutch who made this mix. Didn't he do a DJ Promo mix recently, and I reviewed it? Can't remember, seem to do a lot of reviews lately. But I've seen his name before, and have started following him on Soundcloud. You can imagine my happiness when I discovered his latest mix. The mix is 2 hours long, and has got some big anthems in it. And when I say it, I do mean it. So many wicked Nosferatu records, made by himself or as part of a collaboration. You will certainly love this mix, that's for sure. This mix proves why Nosferatu is a legend, and why he's regarded as one of the finest producers in the scene. To me he has shaped the Millennium sound into something beautiful. Others were also involved, don't get me wrong, but he was part of the main group of producers who single-handedly shaped the sound into the sound we all love! Really impressive to me that I know at least 95% of these records. But what is more impressive, is the fact that you can see the progression in Nosferatu's producing skills. You can hear him develop constantly, redeveloping himself. And also the music grows more and more into this specific style only Nosferatu knows how to make. I love the music Nosferatu made. It's just so exquisite! It's like each of his songs has a deeper meaning. And to get the message across, the build up is tremendous, and once the beats and bass kicks in, there's no stopping Nosferatu. And the selection of the Finnishing Dutch certainly gives us enough Nosferatu to keep us going throughout the day. My Gawd, the man is an unstoppable force. He's been on top of his game since he emerged onto the scene, and has been given us countless dancefloor smashers. This mix only contains a handful of them, but still enough for us to feel the power and strength of Nosferatu. My favourite record? Well, there are two: 'The Undead' and 'When Angels Cry'. Two top notch records, which have stood the test of time! Timeless classics. It's a nice mix, with a few small mixing errors. But I love it. It's a nice dedication mix to one of the heroes of the Hardcore scene. Boy, I miss that Millennium sound so much, this mix proves how good it was. And how Nosferatu was one of the leading producers. And still is, to be fair! • SUMMER HARDCORE 2022 MIX

'Fun For The Whole Family'. That's written on the above image. Well, I might disagree, but it could be a very sarcastic statement by Lil Texas. Because it would certainly not apply in my household. No one, and I mean no one does appreciate the harder styles more than me. But leave the entertainment in the hands of Lil Texas: he's got our back. And if you seek entertainment, he will certainly bring a smile on your face with his latest SUMMER MIX. But be warned: if you've never heard of Lil Texas before or aren't a fan of the harder styles, you might need protection. No, not condoms, you silly sausage, you need ear protection. Because this set is hard as nails! I have listened to Lil Texas' previous mixes, and they always seem to be as random as f*ck. Not your standard hard mix, but a mix that cannot be classed as 'normal'. That's good though, don't get me wrong, but it's certainly one that stands out. The way he puts the mix together, it's a mashup of everything he can find. A bit like having cereal with the first liquid you find in the fridge: if it's milk, it's OK. If it's coke or apple juice, it's wrong. It works, but wouldn't advice to give it a try. Where the f*ck am I going with this? I've lost the plot.... See! That's what this mix does to me. I've already played it 5 times in a row today, and my mind is mashed up. It's more like mashed potato up there, instead of actual brains. He does whatever he sees fit, and in a weird way it works. From Uptempo to UK Hardcore (the happy side of UK Hardcore) to Hardstyle to Hardcore to Terror to whatever you want to call it. It's all in this mix. Sometimes a mix doesn't need to make sense, as long as it's making your ass move. And it certainly did. My ass has been moving up and down on my office chair... WFH has got its perks! The Summer has now officially landed, and now we can fully appreciate Lil Texas' mix. But what's in it, you might be asking? Well, these records: Krowdexx - Raised From The Dead Da Tweekaz & Warface - Intents Highscore Qriminal - Warzone 2022 Lil Texas - Revelation (Live Edit) Element - Throw 'Em Up Riot Shift & Anderex - Hyperdimension Ncrypta - Scars (Deezl Remix) Sickmode & Rooler - Club Banger Lil Texas - ID Malice - Bloodbath (Live Edit) Ressurectz - Higher Dead X - ID Warface - Sensory The Purge - Metapurge Malice - Fear (Live Edit) Lil Texas - ID Technikore & Jennifer Rene - The Power Of You TNT & Darren Styles - Got The Music Novakaine - Holding Me Up Joey Riot & Mike Reverie - Another Dimension Dither & Nolz - Shockwave Blaster - Kiss A Goat Stereotype - The Dark Star Iridium - Another Victim Miss K8 - The Last Spartan Re-Fuzz - Trickster Gridkiller - Wasteland Wreck Reality - Bone Chilling Hardcore Lil Texas - ID Subgravity - Rookie Nosferatu & Alee - Crazy Namara - Inner Demons Chaos Project & Griever - Brotherhood Hysta - Antidote Lil Texas - Terror To Your Ear (2022 VIP) PsykoPhonic & BreakStyle - Everybody Gridkiller & Karun - Guns Out Detest & MBK - Death Squad Restrained - Exception 2 The Rule Lil Texas - ID Barber - Go Loco Anime - Bam Bam (F.Noize Remix) Lil Texas - Turn The Volume Up (EQUAL1 Edit) Noxiouz - Hak With Shaq Trespassed & MC Robs - Terrified Lil Texas - ID Tharoza - Boundaries Dimitri K & Roza - X UP Lil Texas - ID Lunakorpz - Buster Sandy Warez & Jimmy Twin - Don't Stop Manifest Destiny & Lara - Beat On My Drum Unproven - Take Me Home (Bootleg) Equal2 & Hvrdtonic - Same Fucking Shit SRB - The F Word Big & Rich - Save A Horse (Lil Texas 1000 BPM Edit) I've now heard it so many times, I can actually dream this mix. I can hear it in my head, and know which track comes next. As weird as the build up is toward the end (not really there, it builds up throughout the set constantly, goes up and down BPM wise), it's as weird as you expect it to be. But I'm feeling it. It's something unordinary. Something different. Why make the same mix like thousands of others have made, or be different? You stand out for being different, right? As hard as nails this mix might be, it's one of the softer tracks that got me. Technikore's song with Jennifer Rene. What a monster track. It's nice to see UK Hardcore slowly making its way into the wider world, and it's reaching a bigger audience. It's cool! A weird, quirky, but very cool set. And maybe that's how this Summer should be. Different, quirky, yet exciting. Don't be a fool and be boring, be unique and fresh. Be like Lil Texas. You might like or dislike this set, but that's your problem to sort out. Why not have a listen to this, and see if you agree to the listeners already (me included), or disagree with them? What's your opinion? Happy to hear your thoughts! Ps. this comes as a free download, but I don't have Spotify (can you believe it?). If you do, you are in luck! • No Frills - Just Good Music Vol 2 - Oldskool Rave Vinyl Mix - Chase Water (2022)

Today we go back in time. To the glorious rave days. The early days. And when I say Rave, I do mean it. The early 90s sound that emerged out of nowhere, and took the world by storm! The sound that embraced us all, and has left a mark in the dance history for years to come. And those wonderful years has given us many memorable songs, and the mix you are about to listen to, is packed to the max with those awesome tunes. How did I find this mix? Well, by accident! Not familiar with the DJ who made this mix (Chase Water), but only know how awesome his latest mix is. Thankfully it has come with a tracklist, so I can share with you all the excellent tunes selected for this hour and a half long set. And he's got a point: no frills, just good music. And judging this tracklist it seems that Chase Water did just that. The tunes are excellent, and there's no mucking about. He doesn't take any prisoners, and from the first second you are caught in the web, the Rave web! I wasn't ready for this yet, when I started my PC up this morning, but I've certainly embraced this mix a lot. You cannot just skip this mix, knowing what's being played, right? If you look at the tracklist, how can you just ignore these bad boy tunes, and just move on? That's blasphemy! And this is the second instalment of this mix series, imagine what the first mix' tracklist looks like? So, without wasting any more time, let's show you the tracklist: DJ Seduction - Hardcore Heaven (The Reincarnation) QBass - Hardcore Will Never Die (E Type Version) Urban Hype - I Feel The Heat Manix - I Can't Stand It Release - Dance In Eden (Interface Remix) Acen - Trip II The Moon (The Darkside....) The Brothers Grimm - Field Of Dreams Nino - World Champion (I Feel So Real) The Prodigy - Wind It Up (Rewound) Altern 8 - Everybody (Easy Chill Mix) SL2 - Way In My Brain (Original Version) The Scientist - The Exorcist DJ Edge - Compnded Future Assassins - Future Sound (Future Dub) 4 Hero - Cookin Up Ya Brain Ellis Dee & Swan-E - Roughneck Business The Brothers Grimm - Exodus (The Lion Awakes) Liquid Crystal - To The Top Sy-Kick - Follow Me Altern 8 - Brutal-8-E (Jungle Brutalism Mix) The Art Of Noise - Instruments Of Darkness (All Of Us Are One People) (The Prodigy Mix) Top Buzz - Living In Darkness Terrorize -It's Just A Feeling Sonz Of A Loop Da Loop Era & The Scratchadelic Experience - Peace & Loveism (4 Hero Remix) Baby D - Let Me Be Your Fantasy (Ruffer Remix) Blame - Music Takes You (2 Bad Mice Remix) Acen - Close Your Eyes (The Sequel) (Remix II) DJ Seduction - Live Together Liquid - Sweet Harmony (Original Mix) This is a very big tracklist, with a few big hitters, and a few versions of tracks I've never heard before. But all in all, the big tracks are in here. And even though I've not checked the first mix by Chase Water, I bet it's going to be filled with 'similar' songs, big dancefloor anthems too! The selection is great. I really enjoyed it. Big tracks by big names in the Rave scene. Some have faded into obscurity, but their legacy remains. You can play these in 2022, but also in 2088, and the world would still rave their socks off. This was (and still is) groundbreaking, and gave us a glimpse into the future of Dance music, what was to be expected. And these songs selected by Chase Water were all played from vinyl. Got only love and appreciation for this mix, and I'll surely will check out the first instalment in a minute, after I've finished this review. But if you want to go back to the 90s and be on a trip down rave lane, jump on this mix! • Rottencore LIVE @ Berzerk - March 16, 2019 / Eindhoven - Holland

Bezerk, I thought that was a Buzz Fuzz thing. But it clearly isn't. Oh wait, it was BZRK, right! Ah I see. So Bezerk is something completely different. And it certainly is. I found a set from their event back in 2019, and the artist in question is Rottencore. On the event itself they had a few playing Hardcore music, and I only know Rottencore, Hellcreator, and Pdevil. Those are the only names I do recognise, but yeah, it's not about the names, it's all about what they bring to the table. And thankfully Rottencore's set is on Soundcloud, so we can hear what he did back in 2019 at Bezerk... I have to confess: I don't know much about Rottencore. I've seen the name appear in many mixes, but never had the opportunity to dive deeper into the history of Rottencore. But what I do know is that he makes early Hardcore sounding tracks, and this set contains a lot of the early sound, but made in the present day, using present day equipment and software. Another artist who loves to keep the old sound alive and kicking, and for good reason! But obviously, as he uses the old style as example, he keeps things fresh and doing it his way. So this set contains all tracks by himself, and as oldskool as they might sound, they are still tracks made by him, if that makes sense? He's got a distinctive sound and approach, and I really like it. If you were looking for a full-on Rottencore set, you are in luck. This set only contains his records, or records he remixed. So let's jump straight into the tracklist, and show you what he played at Bezerk! Rottencore & Rodox Trading - Galaxy Core Rottencore - Ouwe Stijl Is Botergeil (2014 Anthem) Rottencore - Multiverse Rottencore & Fuckear - You Will Die Rottencore - Give Me Your Soul Rottencore - The Dance Of The Bass Rottencore - Just Go On It Rottencore - This Kind Of Shit Rottencore - I'm Mental Rottencore - I Need Money Rottencore - Assassin Of Terror Nasenbluten - Dirty Rotten Bastard (Rottencore Remix) Mordekaiser - IFYM (Rottencore Remix) Rottencore - The Evil Inside Me Rottencore & Tantulum - Fatality Rottencore - Sei Un Coglione (feat KCMA Vocal) Rottencore - Brain Pressure Rottencore & KCMA - You're A Fucking Bitch! Rottencore - Fuck Off Rottencore - Who The Fuck I Am M1dlet - Take Yo Ass Home (Rottencore Remix) You get 21 records in an hour, and those tracks will certainly keep you moving! And the songs are all hard as nails, and stayed true to the pre 2000s Hardcore sound. Hardcore, and of course, a bit of Terror. You cannot do a set without playing a bit of Terror, or closely sounding Terror. The BPMs should always go up and up towards the end of a set. And Rottencore's set just exactly that. To me the music Rottencore makes is just sublime. It's just slightly harder, faster, and a bit rougher. If the songs were around during the 90s, they would have fitted the Hellsound compilation the most. And I like that a lot. Gabber/Hardcore is great, but sometimes it needs a bit of oomph. And Rottencore certainly makes records that fit that nicely. I've really enjoyed this set a lot. Had it on once while driving home from work, and my speakers were nearly blown up to pieces! Love it. There's no other way of listening to this: volume on max, and ears bleeding. A wonderful set, that takes you back to the 90s. Fantastic songs. Everything about this set tickles me. In a good way! • Timewitch - Miniature Trails Of Light (2022)

Yesterday (or the day before) I received a message on Facebook from one of the regulars to this site, AoS, and he mentioned that he contributed to this new EP from Timewitch. As I'm still fairly new to Bandcamp, and some might call me a noob, I do miss out on a lot of music being uploaded onto this site. But thanks to AoS' message, I was made aware of this EP, and now I'm doing the same to you, the reader. If you like a bit of 'oldschool' Techno, you might actually appreciate this EP... It all depends. Do you like the early Techno sound, from the early 80s? The underground and a tad spacious Techno? A very psychedelic approach to Techno, with spacy lyrics being repeated over and over. Minimalistic approach to Techno, and I kind of like it. It has a bit of Aphex Twin vibe around it, but also the early Techno pioneers sounds, but sadly my mind has gone blank now, and I can't mention any, besides Aphex. So where does AoS come in play? Well, his input was a Freeform styled remix of 'Miniature Trails Of Light'. He wasn't the only one, but for me personally, anything Freeform gets my attention straight away. But to fully understand the track that was remixed by AoS, I had to listen to the full EP, and let the music sink in. See what it does to me, and how AoS' version fits in (or maybe doesn't?).. Timewitch - Miniature Trails Of Light Timewitch - Miniature Trails Of Light (Psychic Sarahs Remix) Timewitch - Miniature Trails Of Light (Lazy Couture Remix) Timewitch - Miniature Trails Of Light (AoS Remix) Timewitch - Miniature Trails Of Light (Creeping Man Remix) Timewitch - Miniature Trails Of Light (Divider Line Remix) Timewitch - Miniature Trails Of Light (Puzzleboy Remix) I've listened to this EP a few times now, and it's given me mixed feelings. I'll explain to you in a minute what I mean.... Minute gone, and the reason why it gives me mixed feelings is because of the following: the original version by Timewitch is a nice track to listen to, and even AoS' version is great, but some versions I cannot seem to graps. I love Techno, and I love when it is minimalistic, but when it's too minimalistic, it just looses strength and potential. It's more 'background' music instead of listening music, if that makes any sense? Like the 'Creeping Man' remix (credit for the name though). It doesn't get me moving. Same with the 'Divider Line' remix. That sounds more like a computer game soundtrack. Which isn't bad. But it's not really something I would listen to, outside of a game. The original version is very cool. Unique, and very 80s sounding. Never heard of Timewitch before, but I'm liking this specific approach to Techno. You don't hear that very often, or maybe I'm not listening well. AoS' remix is ace. It's cool to hear Freeform slowly creeping up into the 'normal' dance scene, and it does get my appraisal. Even Psychic Sarahs remix is dope. Not sure about the others though. Half and half. Love it, and find it a tad boring at the same time. Still, if certain versions would be played in the background or in a video game, I wouldn't turn it off, it would only enhance the experience. Maybe I'm not into that kind of music yet? • Detest @ Above The Roofs Of L.E. (Summer Hole Revelation 2022)

The next mix on this sunny and glorious Wednesday is a hard one. This time it's made by Detest, who is know for playing extremely hard and loud music. From the first mix review of today (uplifting Hardstyle) to this, it's a completely different approach to dance music. Whereas the previous review/mix was nice and melodic, this Detest mix is one I wasn't ready for. I woke up, all cheerful and chipper, and now hearing this mix, it just makes me have energy levels above 200%. My body wants to stomp the floor and raise my hands at the same time, vigorously. But I should have known: just look at the image above: it comes with a bloody warning!!! You might be thinking 'oh this is yet another Hardcore mix', but it certainly isn't. When I did my research for this mix, I tried to define Detest, and categorise his music. But I simply can't. Seriously, I cannot. If there's one diverse artist/producer, it's Detest. And this set proves just that. My God, it's just a rollercoaster ride full of emotions, and ranging beats, bass, and melodies. I can try, but I will certainly fail. So let's call it all Hardcore, and get it over with. Why would we do that? So we can focus on the actual set. And as much as I've done my research on the artist, I'm not familiar with the event he played at? Does anyone have any more information. The set itself is hard. If you were going to listen to this mix, thinking it was your standard 'Hard' music, it certainly isn't Fuck me, this is loud, and rough. You certainly needed that warning sign, and if possible, try and use protection. This mix is hard as fuck! An hour of Detest will certainly get your energy levels all the way up, and your heartbeat will follow. My God, this isn't what I was expecting to hear on this Wednesday, but I'm glad I've checked Soundcloud, wouldn't want to miss this set... Detest - Here For You eDub - Gallo Warface - Guccie Boy Detest - Fuck You Detest - Tokyo Detest - London Detest - Manic Bitch Detest - Hyper Schranz Alfred Heinrichs - She Could! (Detest Remix) Detest - Acid Poke (Edit) Detest - Oldschool Trash Detest - Killing Spree The Clamps - Seduction Scale (Detest Remix) Detest - Happy Rave Mash-Up Detest - Midnight Motherfuckers (Edit) Detest & Tripped - Revolution Detest - TBH Detest & BMG - Ghetto Bass Detest - Uma Furyan - Bass Journey (Miss K8 Remix) Detest - DTS Detest - Stallion Girl (Edit) Detest - Alice Detest - Sleep Knowledge (Schranz Edit) Detest - Escape From Fucking Nowhere (2022 Remix) False Idol - Time To Destroy Detest - My Porn (2022 Edit) Detest & MBK - Cobra Kicks This is hard as fuck! This set goes through all the harder styles, like Breaks, Hardcore, Rawstyle, Techno, Schranz, Uptempo, and even a bit of Industrial, and to top it all off: Terror. And I freaking love it. So diverse, so unique, and refreshing. More of this, please! I've been listening to this mix over and over again, must have at least listened to this 3 times in a row, and my energy levels are way up there. Who needs energy drinks when you can have a bit of Detest? All jokes aside, this mix is truly amazing. As mentioned before, it's diverse, and that's what so intriguing. You cannot categorise this under just one style or genre. This is the multiverse of Hardcore in a nutshell. And it's freaking awesome. From the first to the last song, Detest grabs us by the balls, and doesn't let us go. At certain stages it becomes painful: not just for my balls, but also my speakers. My speakers are literally moving on my desk! Imagine hearing this live... you wouldn't have a clue what hits you! Hard as fuck this set. Nothing more to add. A brilliant set by Detest. Superb way to start your Wednesday with. We don't need anything, just this mix. Big and epic set. Detest shows us how thing should be done, and he does it extremely well! • Monkey Kong Presents: The Summer Of Hardstyle 2022

The Summer is here. It literally started yesterday (which is a coincidence, as I just Googled it, as I didn't know the start date). Time to get out of our cocoons and show our true colours again. And gain a nice colour too, but make sure you use factor 50. Whatever you do during the Summer, make sure you do it safely. Most of us might go on a holiday, or some go to big events and rave their arses off. Or some do both, if they've saved up enough cash. Whatever it is you are going to do, make sure we make the Summer of 2022 the best one we've had in the last 3-4 years. Especially now COVID-19 is not fully gone, but we've all embraced it, and been vaccinated. Life can return to normal.... So to start the Summer, let's start with a Hardstyle mix by Monkey Kong. His Soundcloud channel is the place to be, if you are a Hardstyle lover. A lot of mixes can be found on his Soundcloud, and if you haven't checked Monkey Kong's page, you should. Let's talk about this mix. It's a Hardstyle mix, focussed on the Summer period. What does that mean? Does that mean all are fluffy songs, and all as sunny as the Fresh Prince's 'Summertime'? Well, they are fluffy, but I would like to use the word uplifting, it's more suitable. The tunes selected are all anthems that can be played at any event, but preferably at events taking place in the open space, the outdoors. It just comes to fruition more when the sun is beaming down on your scalp, and the atmosphere is generally much better: people are happier and more upbeat. So the tunes do reflect our generic state of mind when the sun comes out. And of course Monkey Kong's selection is filled with the finest and uplifting Hardstyle anthems money can buy. If this doesn't get you moving, nothing will. Bass Modulators - Mantra Noisecontrollers - Feel So Good/Feel So Good Again Atmozfears - Gold Skies Audiotricz - Don't Hold Back D-Block & S-Te-Fan & Isaac - Alive Adrenalize - Far From Home Coone - Defqon.1 All Stars 2014 Builder - Her Voice (Headhunterz Remix) Atmozfears & Audiotricz - Reawakening Refuzion - Without You Refuzion & Noiseshock - Another World Audiotricz & Atmozfears - What About Us Zedd feat Foxes - Clarity (Headhunterz Remix) Adrenalize - All The Memories Frontliner - Summer Frontliner - Discorecord Tatanka - Africa Noisecontrollers & Wildstylez - Stardust Bass Modulators & Max Enforcer - Our Soul Break Of Dawn feat Meryll - High Headhunterz & Sound Rush & Eurielle & Ryan Louder - Follow Me Sound Rush & Villain - One Psyko Punkz - Spaceship D-Charged - Arrival D-Sturb - Legacy Da Tweekaz & Warface - Intents Highscore Warface & Max Enforcer - Sundown Frequencerz & Villain - The Power Of The Wolfpack Rejecta - Set Myself Free Yes, yes, yes! The sun is out, guns are out! Time to get rid of the long sleeved shirts, and time to wear short sleeved shirts, or even no shirt (if you are confident to show off, which I'm not). And if you are lucky and booked a ticket to go to an event near you, have fun! Enjoy the Summer of 2022. I sadly cannot go raving this year. Bought ourselves a new house, so all the money goes into that. But maybe 2023 will be the year for me, the year I'll turn 40. But until then I need to sit behind my computer and watch YouTube & Facebook videos of people having fun at events. I feel jealous, but happy at the same time. Life can return to normal. Hopefully this COVID-19 was the only big virus in our lifetime, and we can continue as normal. Monkey Kong's mix is tight, with a few serious dancefloor hits. These will certainly get you going, and will get you excited for what's to come. A Summer of happiness and excitement. I really enjoyed this set a lot. When I was driving the wife to work this morning, I had the windows down, volume at max, and enjoyed this a lot. Couldn't care less if I woke up most of North London, but that's just part of the deal: you allow me to stay in this country, so be awoken by awesome music. And of course, hearing Frontliner's 'Summer'... that's just the perfect Summer anthem! Cool mix! If you haven't checked it out yet, do it now! • Butterz is the Sound [Special all Butterz mix for Begrime - 15.06.2022]

Butterz, wasn't he the one from Southpark, or am I getting confused now? Butterz? Is that maybe the vegan friend of margarine, or the distant cousin of butter? Nah, I am only kidding with you all. But that's only because Pearsall was so friendly to add a bit of info underneath his latest Grime mix, which is focussed on the label Butterz. Never heard of the label before, but have heard of the songs released on the label, including one of the filthiest Grime records ever made! But we will come to that in a minute! Pearsall's latest mix is full of Grime. How full? Well, it's roughly 70 minutes of Grime, from the finest artists around. 31 records, not all released on Butterz, but most of them are. A few other gems had to be thrown in, to make this mix superb. And the result is 68 minutes of Grime magic. Pearsall also shows he's not bound to one style or genre, this man can literally play everything he fancies, and it's a bliss. His set for Sub FM radio, for Begrime, was all recorded from vinyl. And you know what I'm about to say next? Well, vinyl rules. Authentic sound, and you can hear that throughout this set. But to be fair, it's not all 'old' vinyl sounds coming through your speakers: no crackling noise, no skipping, just pure music. I am a Grime fan, not a fanatic or connoisseur, but I do appreciate it a lot. So I won't be able to give more feedback besides my personal feelings for this music. So no feedback on the artists, sorry about that. So let's dip our toes into the stream that is filled with Grime music today, and let's see what's in store! Swindle & Silkie - Unlimited Terror Danjah - Bipolar TRC - Oo Aa Ee (VIP Mix) D.O.K. - Chemical Planet Swindle - Airmiles (20.000 Miles Later) Mr Mitch - Skittles Swindle feat Ricardo China - Connecta S-X - Woooo Riddim Newham Generals - Humpty Dumpty Flava D - Robot Rapid - License Flava D - Plate Terror Danjah - Air Bubble (Starkey Remix) Terror Danjah feat Ruby Lee Ryder - Let Me Be The One Swindle - Mood Swings D.O.K. - Keep Making Grime S-X - Bricks Royal T - Music Please (Devil Mix) Rapid - Rebore Royal T - Shotta (Kahn & Neek Remix) Royal T - Hot Ones (Remix) Trim - I Am (LV Remix) Royal T - Orangeade VIP P Money & Blacks - Boo You Royal T - Cool Down Champion - Speed Rebound X - Rhythm & Cash (Flava D Remix) Flava D - Home tqd - Day & Night (Day Mix) Swindle feat Flowdan & Mungo's Hi-Fi - Global Dance Royal T - Glacier (Angel Mix) This is hard! Pearsall goes in hard, and gives us the finest Grime sounding records. And one record in this mix has kept me from listening to other songs.... but guess which one it is? It's 'Bricks' by S-X. Some people think that Rocky song, where he runs up a flight of stairs somewhere in 'Murica, is the ultimate motivational song, but this S-X song is just pure motivational. Fuck Rocky, give me this song any time of day, and I will gain more energy in an instance. But there's so much more to this mix. I love the darker tracks. Those more focussed on the music, and no messing around. Just pure music. And there are some in here that tick the right boxes. And I freaking adore them. They take me back a few years, when Grime was literally the only style I would listen to (and everything under the UKG umbrella, to be honest). Pearsall has done a wicked job, and this mix should get more plays. Anthem after anthem. It's 68 minutes of pure pleasure. And it's given me enough energy to get me going through the week! More of these mixes please. • AL TWISTED @ Balter Festival 2022

We are going slightly harder today. We started with a nice Rawstyle set, but now we go full on Hardcore mode. And the man behind this set is Al Twisted. A certified crowd pleaser, and his set from Balter Festival 2022 is now online. I had to look up this event, because I'd never heard of it. Where it was held wasn't that far away from where I live (2 1/2 hours), but yeah, never heard of it. A quick look on the Balter website gave me a line-up page, with a lot of artists on it. Most of them I have never heard of, but a handful of names were known. And if you do have a look, you will see a lot of variety. Many big names from different scenes, all came together at Balter. Including Al Twisted. And you know that Al Twisted brought the hardest Hardcore anthems to the party, and demolished the speakers. According to the set, his set was the last one of the night, and the crowd was sick and there were a few mosh pits. If there's one thing I'm afraid of at parties are bloody mosh pits. Not saying I'm like mr. Glass and break easily, but there are plenty of people out there stronger and tougher than me, and make me break me in half. Experienced a few mosh pits in my lifetime, and I never came out of it in one piece... But if that's the response, the set must be hard as nails, right? The crowd wouldn't completely loose themselves with your basic Hardcore anthems, right? Yes, correct. Al Twisted's set contains fucking epic songs, and they are harder, tougher, and faster than your mainstream Hardcore. Al does not take any prisoners. The set is only an hour long, but in that hour he makes sure your feet and ears are demolished, and if you are not cautious enough, it might blow up your speakers (which happened to me, thanks Al....). Let me show you what Al played at Balter festival, in the Jigsore area... Detest - London Dither - Rave Machine Ophidian - Silver 22 The Satan - Hump Penta - Streetfight eDUB - No Man Get Me Nervous Detest - Alice The Satan - Gift Hellfish & Skeeta - The Ripper (Angerfist Remix) False Idol - Time To Destroy Mike Redman & Akira - Concrete Jungle Hellfish - Wolfman (Festival Of Death Remix) Dolphin - Facemasks Hellfish & Al Twisted - It's A Rip The DJ Producer - Deathchant Will Never Die Detest - Stalion Girl 2022 False Idol - Embrace The Chaos Rotterdam Terror Corps - I'm A Gabber Baby (F.Noize Remix - Al Twisted Edit) Disciples Of Annihilation - DOA Mash S.R.B. - So Smooth This is one hard motherfucking set. To start the set with a big ass anthem 'London' and to end with a bit of MJ, really interesting approach. But hey, who cares? As long as the people were having fun. I was expecting some hard music this morning, after I opened my eyes, but I wasn't ready to be blown away by the BPMs. Especially after hearing Al's set. I'm wide awake now, and certainly won't go to sleep in the next few hours, or even next few days. He's selected a lot of great records. The BPMs come flying at you through your speakers, and you will undoubtfully start nodding your head, raising your fist in the air, and stomping your feet. Especially after hearing Ophidian's 'Silver 22'. What a beast of a track, that track put me in beast mode! So much power, and so well executed. This is the best track of this set. I do love the DOA mashup song too, and even the MJ song at the end gives me energy like never before. In short, this set is dope. If you want the beats to be hard and rough and fast, Al has got you covered. His set is one you need to check out. Worth checking out his other stuff too on his Soundcloud channel, but for now show your appreciation and play this set at max volume! • Revokez presents: Sickmode vs. Rooler (2022)

It is Wednesday, and I can share with you a little secret. A very little secret, and I'm wondering if it's considered a secret. Yesterday, during working hours, I played the Gang live at Rebirth 2022 over and over. A few weeks ago, after I initially their set, I grew more and more interested in what the Gang had to offer, and their set was just superb. The reactions from the crowd is just pure, and honest. Everyone screaming. Everyone singing along to the tunes. They knew each and every track, and it's amazing to hear a crowd screaming 'I am Rooler, bitch' out loud. Goosebumps, and I wasn't even at this event. Nor have I ever seen/heard Rooler and Sickmode, a.k.a the Gang, but they surely know how to throw a party. So you can imagine my excitement when I spotted this mix by Revokez, which focusses on both Rooler and Sickmode. I am really in awe with the Gang. Obviously I knew both Rooler and Sickmode, but together they've created this special and unique thing. They bring the heat, wherever they play. Together they work well, but o their own they do kick ass too. I've been a fan of Rooler since the first time I spotted his Ground Zero mix many years ago. Can't remember when I heard of Sickmode, but he's been around for a few years, and his music also appeals to me a lot. Revokez mix is an interesting one. A few weeks ago I reviewed his D-Sturb vs Vertile mix, and Vertile is another artist who I adore, and follow. The Gang is the other act I follow a lot. Their sets are just insane, and you can see two DJs behind the decks having a lot of fun. Fart noises in a set? You've made me a fan for life! Revokez's latest mix focusses on both Rooler and Sickmode, and it contains a nice variety of their own productions, collaborations with each other, and also with others. 70 minutes of pure Rawstyle and Uptempo music. An excellent style to wake up to, right? Sickmode feat Zyon - No Time To Waste Rooler - Boss Sickmode & Mish - One & Only Rooler - Onetwo Sickmode - Emoji 2.0 Rooler & Nolz - Straight Outta Future Sickmode - Full Tank Rooler - Droppin' Like Rooler & Sickmode - Find You Sickmode - Make It Pop Rooler - Attitude Sickmode - Go Stupid Rooler - Love U Baby Sickmode & Rooler - Too Hot Sickmode & Luminite - Deadly Techno Rooler - Domination Sickmode & Mutilator - Just A Game Rooler - The Rules Sickmode & Mish - Area51 Rooler - Discotek Sickmode & Rooler - Too Cold Rooler & Sickmode - Let The Bass Kick Sickmode & Rooler - Club Banger Sickmode - Lalalalala (Remix) Rooler - Dikke Stroopwafels (Koningsdag Edit) Sickmode & Rooler & Levenkhan - Lesgooo! That's a lot of the Gang, also known as Rooler and Sickmode. But I would say that's a good thing, why else would you be reading this? The songs selected are a good bunch. A mixture of both worlds, and at certain stages those two worlds collide, and give us a glimpse on what the Gang has to offer. And it's glorious. Especially the more melodic and harmonious songs. You know which songs I'm talking about, the ones where all the hands go in the air, and people are singing along to the tune. Like my favourite record 'Too Cold'. That moment when people scream 'I am Rooler, bitch'... amazing! Currently I'm at my third play of this mix, and I'm loving it. Have not found a deadpan moment, a dull moment. Both producers/DJs are at their A-game, and bring the heat. They are at the top of their game, and the fans love it. They capture a wonderful sound within Rawstyle, and I freaking love it. Not 100% behind the Uptempo stuff, but that's just personal. But the Rawstyle is just ace, trust me. As mentioned in 'The Rules', they make the rules, and we fucking follow them. They lead the pack, and we just do what they tell us to do. And I'm happy to follow them wherever they go. More of the Gang please! And more fart noises. Or cowbells. My top 3 Rawstyle producers currently (just to highlight my love for them) are: Vertile, Rooler, and Sickmode.... that says it all, right? • 1NC1N - Early Rave Megamix (Live Recorded @ UNIT Breda 28-05-2022)

This is going to be a very busy day for me. I'm currently on my own, WFH, and my colleagues are or on training or on annual leave, which leaves me in charge of everything. And during this, I need something to keep me going. Something not too soft, or too boring. I need something motivational, something that captures my mood perfectly. And today it's Hardcore that I need. I am in dire need of Hardcore, especially 90s Hardcore, and guess what: I found a nice mix for you all. Why else would I be writing a review, just for fun? Muhaha, that's certainly not the case. Now I know nothing about 1NC1N, or even the location where it was recorded (Unit in Breda), so I cannot comment about this. If you have some more information, please do share. Sharing is caring, remember? Let's focus on the actual mix and the tracks. This was live recorded, so everything you hear is done live, and it's an Early Rave Megamix! 41 records in an hour long mix. Normally I would be a bit hesitant to call something a Megamix, but this certainly is one, and it does contain the biggest tracks of the 90s. All the tracks I grew up with. Wouldn't that be perfect to hear, on a day where I need a boost, more energy compared to normal? Would a mix with the coolest tracks be suitable on a day like today? The answer is a big 'YES'! 1NC1N has kindly provided us with a tracklist, so here it is: Cixx vs The Vinyl Junk - Bounce 'N Shake (My Style Edit) Black Knight - Back To Tha O School Darrien Kelly & Attic & Stylzz - Beaten Like A Bitch Oldschool Terrorists - Acieeed Robert Armani - Hit Hard Dark Raver & DJ Vince - Intelligent Hardcore Dark Raver & DJ Vince - Thunderground D'Spyre - Fire & Blood Neophyte & The Stunned Guys - Get This MF Bass Protectors - Hicked Pitch (Remix) The Masochist - No Newstyle Inferno Bros. - Slaves To The Rave DJ Max feat DJ Giangy feat DJ Buby - Musica Neurotica Active Force - Head Like A Pacman Rave Nation - Going Crazy (Forze DJ Team Mix) DJ Weirdo & DJ Sim - Go Get Busy (Extended Rave Version) Jeremy - Go With The Flow Critical Mass - Can't Stop Pulp Shock - Far Away (DJ Sim Hardcore Mix) Wasting Program - Bring That Shit Back (DJ Arjuna Remix) DJ Sim - Cartoon In Progress (Break Mix) Tails & Noizer feat MC Drokz - Boom-Shaka-La DJ Delirium & Da Grimreaper - Gangsta Sound DJ Weirdo & Dr. Phil Omanski - Young Birds DJ Delirium - No Turning Back Critical Mass - Believe In The Future DJ Sim - No More Shit Naughty Boyz - 1 2 3 Fuck! DJ Buzz Fuzz - Dreamgirl (Just A Dream Mix) Miss Groovy - Jungle Sickness DJ Waxweazle - Brainscan (In For The Kill Mix) 50% Of The Dreamteam - Fatal Morgana DJ Weirdo & MT-Ness - Metrodome (Weirdo Hardcore Mix) Pino D'Ambini - Up And Down (Ballz) Human Resource - Dominator (K.N.O.R. Hardcore Version) DJ Buzz Fuzz - Alphabet Soup DJ Buzz Fuzz - Just Another Humdrum DJ Delirium & DJ Weirdo - Open Your Eyez! Tripax feat Buzz Fuzz, Rob Gee & Gizmo - What The Fuck Are You Laughing At! The Prophet - Housetime 3 Steps Ahead - Hakkuh (Loud Play Mix) This is a very good looking tracklist, with a lot of big hitters. Tracks that will get you moving on the dancefloor, or wherever you are. You could be at work, or sitting at home, or still laying in bed. But you cannot deny the impact of these records, and slowly your body is moving to the beat. If not, are you a true gabber? A true Hardcore fanatic? 1NC1N has done a great job, playing all these at his own birthday event. Never heard of this artist nor this event, but if they played more like this, I would have happily gone there, and raved the night away. Big tracks, all crammed together beautifully. At certain stages it does sound like he/she is rushing it, but you cannot do it slow and half hearted. You need to set the tone, and you need to keep the audience stomping the floor. And that's what happens throughout this mix. How can you sit still? I'm sitting here, a nearly 40 year old chap, enjoying it a lot, and bouncing my head up and down, and stomping my feet. A good selection of songs, all big anthems from when I was a kid. This takes me back, and I feel happy again. Listening to those glorious Hardcore anthems on cassette with my 'My First Sony' walkman or CD player, and shitty headset. We've come a long way, haven't we? If you want to take a trip down memory lane, and want to relive the glory days of 90s Hardcore, jump the bandwagon and let 1NC1N's birthday mix take you on that journey. You'll love it! Best record? Well, heard it once on a Mysteryland CD, and it has remained my all time favourite Buzz Fuzz record: 'Just Another Humdrum'. Big underrated Hardcore anthem! • RAVERS REUNITED X SQUAD-E - THE ALBUM (2022)

On March 25th 2021 the world was told that Wayne Donnelly, a.k.a. Squad-E, Hypasonic, Doogie D, passed away. The UK Hardcore community all stood still, and commemorated the late and great producer/DJ Squad-E. This prolific producer gave us memorable anthems since the early 2000s, And he's been a stable force in the community. When the news broke, the whole world came together, and remembered the amazing person he was. You couldn't open a social media site without a message toward Squad-E. It was devastating, and caught people by surprise.... A year has gone by, and the people behind Ravers Reunited decided to release a special album. An album specially dedicated to Squad-E. The album is available now as a download, and it contains two discs: the first being unheard or unreleased Squad-E records, and the second contains tracks remixed by various other UK Hardcore producers. Many have put in a lot of effort to make it work, and made it a dedicated album. A very nice touch, and I'm guessing he would have loved it. As mentioned before, this album's focus is Squad-E and what he had achieved during this active UK Hardcore years. He didn't just make UK Hardcore anthems: he was very active in other dance genres. This special album contains 2 CDs with in total 40 records. And also two mixes, containing all these wicked anthems. A nice and personal touch, isn't it? Remembering Squad-E and what he's done for all of us. We've all danced to his tunes and some even sang out loud. The 2 album mixes were put online roughly 2 days ago, and already have a lot of positive feedback, and messages stating they miss Squad-E. Most of us still can't believe it. It's been a year since his passing, but instead of drowning ourselves in sadness, let's all come together and rave in the name of Squad-E! Let's all hit the download button, and share this music with everyone around you! Put the volume way up high, and let the music reach the heavens, and let Squad-E know we do miss him a lot, and show him what his music meant to us all! The songs on these two albums are: CD 1: Unreleased/Unheard Squad-E Tracks Squad-E - Album Intro Squad-E & Re-Con - What Will It Take Squad-E - Illusion Squad-E - Never Let Go Squad-E - Only For You Squad-E - Rain Squad-E - Take A Look At Me Now (Rob IYF Album Mix) Squad-E - Whatever Squad-E & Ben Critic feat Kayleigh O'Neill - Live Forever Squad-E & Esline feat Lisa Abbott - Invisible Squad-E & Esline - Over Now Squad-E & Rob IYF feat Blue Eyes - Love Vaccine Squad-E & CS-1 - Much Better Squad-E & CS-1 - Heaven Sent You Squad-E & Ben Critic feat Danika Pink - Paradise Squad-E & Ben Critic - Plz Tell Me Squad-E - Beat Goes Boom Squad-E & Scoot - Missing Squad-E & Scoot feat Kerry Lou - Souls Collide Squad-E & Soot - I Believe In You (Ben X-Treme Remix) CD 2: Squad-E Classics Remixed By Various Artists Access 3 - Promised Land (Klubfiller Remix) D-Code feat Emma - Like I Feel (Lloyd-E Remix) D-Code feat Emma Hughes - Love Is For Real (Nocturnal By Nature Remix) D-Code feat Emma - My Direction (Rob IYF & Al Storm Remix) D-Code feat Emma - Who Are You (Technikore Remix) Dave McCullen - Rave Heaven (SethroW Remix) Hypasonic feat Re-Con - Make Me Proud (Outforce Remix) Hypasonic feat Jorg Smid - Doesn't Matter (Al Storm & Rob IYF Remix) MOB & Squad-E - Say You Will Be Mine (M-Project Remix) Re-Con & Squad-E - Can't Buy My Love (Eufeion Remix) Squad-E - Lost Without You (Alaguan Remix) Squad-E - Show Me The Way (Rescue Remix) Squad-E - Stay (Mike Reverie Remix) Squad-E & Chris Henry feat Lisa Abbott - Untouchable (Hixxy Remix) Squad-E & Curphey - In My Dreams (Ganar Remix) Squad-E - Closer (Riko Remix) Squad-E feat Sarah Rowland - The Way You Look Tonight (Stu Infinity Remix) Squad-E feat Katrina Louise - Make You Mine (Rescue Remix) Squad-E vs Dougal & Gammer - You U Eye I (Rob IYF & Al Storm Remix) Wave - Magic Carpet Ride (Ben Defekt & Olly P Remix) So many big names worked together to make this album work. But both CDs do work extremely well, and the end result is something the scene should be proud of. And certainly Squad-E is looking down and approving this album. Rave safe up in the heavens, mate! It's always a risk to release 'unreleased' or 'unheard' songs, but for this album it works. A lot of gems in it. Those tracks should have been released, or played out loud at big events. The second disc is also filled with gems, but they were already big dancefloor smashers before they were given the special treatment. The end result is a special album, dedicated to Squad-E, and the album works extremely well. Ravers Reunited's idea has worked well, and will give us a special album focussed on the fantastic producer and DJ Squad-E. As I've said before, the album already has got a lot of positive feedback, and that's all you could ask for. His input in the scene has been tremendous, and to show our respect, honour the man as much as we can. Play this as loud as you possibly can, and embrace the legacy left behind by Squad-E. Let's never forget him, and his musical genius. His name will continue to live on in the scene! RIP legend! • Reflect - Techno Saturday #2 (2022)

The other day I was browsing the world wide web, and went back to my trustworthy Soundcloud. On it, there was a brand spanking new mix I found, reposted by someone, and the artist who made this mix was Reflect. A name I did not recognise, but what I did recognise, is the awesome mix he made. It's a Techno focussed set, and it is just the right Techno for me. Now you might be wondering: what is the right kind of Techno? As Techno as a name is an umbrella term, and can have a wide variety of sounds engulfed in it. To me, if I were to answer the diabolical question 'what is Techno?', the answer would be: ''all the songs in this mix''. This style has always appealed to me the most, and takes me right back to the Millennium sounding Techno. The right time for me, as it was then I rediscovered Techno, and spent a lot of time in clubs and raves, and this kind of Techno was everywhere. But now, it's 2022, and the music has changed. This underground sounding Techno still has a huge cult following, and I'm one of those people. This seriously reminds me of the early 2000s, and that's when my love for Techno was at its all time highest peak. To find a mix that embraces that, is just glorious. But this specific mix isn't the only one: I did have a listen and found a few other mixes by Reflect which are similar, and awesome! The main issue was, no tracklist. And you know how much I detest this. How can the listener found out which song they like the most and try to purchase it? But I was PC enough and asked if a tracklist was possible, and Reflect was ever so kind, and provided me with one. So without further ado, let me show you the tracklist, and let's dive straight in! Truncate - The Drill Carara - Acid XY1 Exos - Haus I Krukku Fran Hartnett - Live At Secret Society Ladida - Life Master Dimi Angelis - Slipback Speedy J & Reinier Zonneveld - Nummer 3 Flug - SH02_AR_05 Frank Biazzi - Take Control (Uncertain Mix) Paul Laurens - Klatsch Roman Poncet - Victum Electric Rescue - Nothing To Loose (SLV Detroit Remix) Joey Beltram - Ballpark (DJ Rush Beat Mix) The Advent - Inn Touch Jeroen Search - Rejection Rate Black Lotus - Alienated Soulds Temudo - Starting Point (Mix 1) Nicolas Vogler - Spaceport Stef Mendesidis - Chroma EBD - Cutis (Nicolas Vogler Remix) Pfirter - Altered States (Alarico Remix) Albert Zhirnov - Old Malt No.Name - Vanilla Regent - Embedded In Our Face The Advent - Tall Whites Nicolas Vogler - Level Set Alarico - The Road DJ Ogi - Ruzina This mix is tight as fuck! Seriously impressive mix. When I started listening to these mixes, I fell like I was a teenager/early 20er again. And that feeling is glorious, being young again. The mix is tight as fuck. Again, I'm not familiar with Reflect, but he has certainly grabbed my attention. This mix has made me aware of what he's capable of, and it's certainly something that deserves credit. But also the music, it is outstanding. Especially one track. There's one track that I only had to hear once to realise its potential. 'Slipback' by Dimi Angelis. My sweet Baby Jesus, what an anthem. Dark and edgy. Monotonous, but that's the way I like my Techno. If I close my eyes, I can imagine being at Innercity in the RAI in A'dam, back during the early 2000s. This is the kind of music they played there. Or what about Shockers? Oh, those glorious Techno events... I can go on for hours, but this mix just deserves your full and undivided attention. And it's also a free download. Why not have a listen, and appreciate this mix as much as I have? And listen to 'Slipback', what an absolute fucking dancefloor filler, tremor inducing anthem!! • DJ Ten - The Ultimate 90s Rave - The Missing Set [Apr 2022]

On the second of April a big event took place. And when I say big, I do mean it. The line-up was so fucking great, it's a dream line-up. You name a big artist from the 90s Dance scene, and they were there. Want to know a few names? Force & Styles, Paul Elstak, Dyewitness, Darkraver, Hixxy & Sharkey, Bass-X, Marc Smith, Q-Tex, Ruffneck, Scott Brown, Mauro Picotto, Quicksilver, Jean, Ultrabeat, Public Domain, Joey Beltram, Lenny Dee, CJ Bolland, Marc Acardipane, Scorpio, Smurf, T99, Slipmatt, Utah Saints, Altern-8, Adamski, and many, many more. This is a serious line-up, and there's only love and appreciation to those who organised this event. So many big names, it would have been just my cup of tea. But a bit of a journey for a party... DJ Ten supposed to have played at this event, but he got COVID just a few days before. That's a huge ass bummer, isn't it? Even though COVID isn't a 'big' thing anymore (not like it used to be), it's still shit if you get it, and you to do the most sensible thing of staying at home, keeping the other ravers safe. A good and sensible decision by DJ Ten, but it must have been a huge bummer. Because he had to miss this event, he uploaded this 'missing' set on Soundcloud, to show everyone what they would have experienced if Ten was there. He supposed to have played in the Ultimate 90s Rave area, so guess what kind of tunes he selected for this mix? Correct, old school rave anthems. An hour and 40 minutes of pure old school anthems. Which anthems? Well, those we've all heard before but still love to the bone! Those that got us through the 90s. 32 beautiful records. The tracklist is a thing of beauty, and it takes you right back to the 90s. Or to Edinburgh, Scotland. I'm guessing this whole event was full of Rave tunes, and I feel sorry for Ten. He must feel miserable for missing this. Fuck COVID. I've said it before but I mean it. Let's take a trip back in time, and see what Ten would have played at this party, but instead played at home.... (or wherever he recorded this set) N-Joi - Anthem New Atlantic - I Know (Love Decade Remix) Love Decade - So Real (Massive Mix) Terrorize - Just A Feeling Mig 29 - Mig 29 (Love Mix) R.A.F. - We Gonna Get Bizarre Inc. - Such A Feeling Problem House 2 - Party People Messiah - Temple Of Dreams (Long Mix) Bizarre Inc. - Playing With Knives (Quadrant Mix) Altern 8 - Activ 8 (Come With Me) (Vix-Vapo Mix) N-Joi - Malfunction Shades Of Rhythm - Armageddon DJPC - Insomniak (I Come Back) Ramirez - Orgasmico (Ricci DJ Remix) Cubic 22 - Night In Motion Human Resource - Dominator (Frank De Wulf 2 Mix) Praga Khan - Injected With A Poison (Rehab Mix) U96 - Das Boot (Techno Version) L.A. Style - James Brown Is Dead (Deadly Remix) DJPC - Go To The Moon (Andy B Remix) Outlander - The Vamp (Frank De Wulf Remix) Quadrophonia - Quadrophonia T99 - Anasthasia (Out Of History Mix) SL2 - DJ's Take Control DJ Seduction - Hardcore Heaven (The Hardcore Mix) Sonz of A Loop Da Loop Era - Far Out Rhythm For Reasons - The Grand National M-D-Emm - Move Your Feet (Keep Those Hands Up 12" Mix) The Prodigy - Your Love (The Original Excursion) N.R.G. - He Never Lost His Hardcore Suburban Delay - Energy Rush The tracklist is a thing of beauty. Come on, you oldschool fanatic, you are not getting moist just reading this tracklist? DJ Ten's selection is a good one, and the songs selected are all solid anthems you would have heard raving/clubbing in the 90s. Unless you weren't born then. If you weren't born the 80s or earlier, you might have missed out on this, but no worries: we are here not to hate, but to celebrate what glorious music came at us through the speakers. And it's an educational trip back to the 90s. The 90s were so glorious. Sometimes cheesy, but that's just life, isn't it? But DJ Ten's selection is truly an amazing sight to behold. You look at this and think 'where did this amazing sound go to, where did we lose it?' And the answer to that is, I don't know. Music moves forward and progresses into something new, but sometimes I wish the oldschool sound remained alive and kicking, and would never change. I think that my love for Dance music started around 1991/1992. Even though I was only 8 or 9 years old (born in 1983), I knew that the music was something special, and I grew fond of it. All because of my dad loving this kind of music during the early 90s. He's gone soft now, but because of him I am now the person who love everything Dance music related. Thanks pops. This mix even contains my first EVER music single. Purchased in 1993, but 'James Brown Is Dead' by L.A. Style was my first ever single, on CD. I had it, but didn't even have a CD player! It's cool to hear it again. That song takes me right back to the 90s. There are too many great songs in here. They all appeared on the 'best of' albums, and are all considered Rave classics, but the one that stands out for me is Cubic 22's 'Night In Motion'. One of my most listened to Rave anthem ever. The mix is tight. A lot of fantastic records. And even though he didn't go to this event, at least we can imagine how cool it would have been for him, and for the ravers there. A good way to start your day, that's for sure! And it's also downloadable, so jump on it right now! • Ultimate GARY D Showcase (2002-2005) (04.06.2022)

It is Sunday, time to relax. And we'll start with a nice mix. A mix commemorating Gary D, who sadly passed away back in 2016. For a strange reason I never purchased any Gary D compilation, and he's released many over his lifespan. A very influential figure in the German Dance scene, he started back in 1980 DJing, and during his career (which lasted until his unfortunate death), he kept pushing Trance and Hardstyle music. He's done so much more, but to describe him is quite difficult. He's done so much, and has achieved so much. A well respected and sorely missed artist. And Audioholik's mix commemorate his music released between 2002 and 2005. I did like the music that he made, but I never purchased one of his CDs. Maybe I was too afraid to start spending a lot of money, as he's released quite a lot of those CDs. Just check out his Discogs and you will realise just exactly how many he did release. That would have cost me a fortune. But that would be the only reason, I do not see another reason being the root cause of me not being the albums. Gary D's mix appeared on many other compilations, and to me especially the early Hardstyle stuff got to me. He seemed to have capture the early sound extremely well, and took Hardstyle back in the early 2000s up to the next level, alongside other producers. But he's certainly a name many will remember, and sadly miss. And to go back to the glorious early years of Hardstyle and to hear what Gary D had to say, let's listen to Audioholik's mix and see if it does tickle you as much as it has tickled me. Bazztard - Welcome 2 Hell (Gary D Hard As Hell Mix) Children Of E - Crack It (Gary D Remix) Techno Citizens - Timeslot (Gary D Hard Beatz Remix) Gary D feat Ruffian - Raise Your Hands (Gary D Hardstyle Mix) M.D.T. vs Daywalker - Destroy! (Gary D vs Daywalker Mix) Hardnation - Humanoid (Gary D Hardbass.com Club Mix) Sam Punk - Whores (Gary D's Bloody Saturday Night Club Mix) Daywalker - Rhythmatic (Gary D Bass-X Mix) H.A.Z.A.R.D. - Da Nu Style (H.A.Z.A.R.D. Hardstyle Mix) LJ Style - Black Arrows 2004 (Gary D Hard Bass Mix) Zemtec - Bring Me Ur Silence (Gary D Remix) Shoko - Hardclub Master (Gary D's Hardstyle Mix) Wallstadt & Dorfler - The Art Of Destruction (Gary D Remix) Gary D - Four Iz The Number (Gary D Original Mix) H.A.Z.A.R.D. - James Brown Is Dead (Gary D Deadly Hard Bass Remix) Ultraphaze - Here Comez The Bass (Gary D Hardstyle Mix) Bazztard - Diz You Right Now (Gary D Hard Bazz Club Mix) A very good looking tracklist. And also a testimony, highlighting how great Gary D was. Not only in producing his own records, but also doing remixes. This hour and a half mix by Audioholik is just a snippet of what he made during his musical career, and it's only a short list, but still impressive. If you were around when Hardstyle was still in its infancy, then you must have experienced a few Gary D anthems here and there. All respect should go to Gary D and the legacy he leaves behind. The tracks are all solid as a rock, and still listened to, 20+/- years later. You cannot listen to an Early Hardstyle set without having at least one Gary D track. But if one track wasn't enough, Audioholik's mix contains 17. 17 amazing Hardstyle anthems. And they capture the reverb bass sound from the early 2000s extremely well. Gosh, I miss this sound a lot. No more mucking about. Let's just enjoy this mix, and enjoy what Gary D has done for us all, and what he left us with. Awesome Hardstyle anthems. Yes, not just Hardstyle anthems, he's done so much more, but let's make today a Hardstyle Sunday, and commemorate what Gary D has done. An amazing and timeless job! RIP Gary D.
